BELLAMY KEPT PURPOSELY taking sharp turns and weaving through the intoxicated camp
membersโ€” which made it harder for intoxicated Indigo to catch up with him.

"Bellamy." Indigo snapped, and he gave her a blank look, "Stop, It doesn't matter if I'm drunk. I'm going." she snapped again at the curly head.

"I don't know what you're talking about," he said dryly and continued to weave through the sea of teens. Indigo then huffed in annoyanceโ€” she really wanted to go and help out with the grounders, but didn't know why ( mainly to piss Bellamy off ).

Indigo then grabbed onto the back of the sleeve of his jacket and used it to help guide her through the camp. Bellamy glanced at her with a glare and continued to weave through the crowdโ€” looking for someone, Indigo didn't know who.

"Let go, Indigo." Bellamy stopped walking, and pulled her over to the side of the dropship, "You're not coming. You'll blow our cover." he tried to pry her hand off of the fabric of the guard's jacket.

"No!" Indigo whisper-shouted at him, "I'm okay now!" she kept her tone hushedโ€” a pleading look draping over her features.

Bellamy scanned her face for a moment, "No, you can barely even stand without swaying." he informed, "And you keep being all sweet."

Indigo furrowed her eyebrows, "I can't be sweet?" she asked, and slowly pulled her hand off his jacket, "I'm sorry that I was nice to you." she snapped at him.

"You don't like me Indigo. And even if you did, you wouldn't compliment me." he scoffed and stepped away from her.

"What?" Indigo questionedโ€” her tone slightly hurt, "Do you not think I'm a nice person or what?" she spat out, the alcohol causing her to feel her emotions more extreme than normal.

Bellamy sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, "No, that's not what I said." he lowered his hand away from his face, his gaze falling back to Indigo.

"But you implied it." she sighed, and ran a hand over her face, and her cheeks were warmโ€” and face was flushed from the alcohol that melted in her system.

"This all doesn't matter." he gestured to
nothingโ€” referring to the conversation, "You're staying, and I'm going."

Indigo then sighed and leaned against the side of the
dropshipโ€” she felt like she was always useless since she wasn't ever really doing anything good.

Knowing her, she'd probably get into some sort of trouble, and then Bellamy would worry the whole time he was
goneโ€” plus, she wouldn't stop bugging him to go.

Bellamy stared at her for a moment before muttering something under his breath, "If..." he began, causing Indigo to look over at him, "If you stay quiet, and promise not to blow our cover..." he sighed defeatedly, "you can come- but, you have to promise because I swear to god Indigo-"

Indigo then smiled widely, and nodded quickly, "I promise." she cut off his threat, and he just eyed her blankly.

'You did good, Indigo.'

'You deserve it.'

Even though Indigo's head was still slightly buzzing with alcohol, Bellamy allowed her to tag along on the grounder trip. Bellamy and Indigo peeked their heads into Raven's
tentโ€” after Monroe told them where Jasper was.

Jasper and Raven jumped apartโ€” as if they had been caught. Indigo eyed the two, not understanding why they were so close.

"Jasper." Bellamy began, and stepped into the tent, "You're coming with us." he glanced at Indigo, who hesitantly entered the tent.

"I am?" Jasper asked and looked between Indigo and Bellamy with a confused look. Bellamy nodded, and
handed Jasper a gun.

"You handled yourself well in the cave with the grounder." Bellamy pushed past the stammering Jasper, who fixed the goggles on his head.

"Uh, I-I mean, I hit him in the head?" Jasper's statement sounded more like a question, and Bellamy began to mess with the bullets, and Raven pulled his arm back.

Indigo peeked over Raven's shoulder at the glistening gold bullets that lay on the table in front of them. Indigo then sent Jasper and Raven a smile, which the two awkwardly
returnedโ€” for some odd reason.

"If you're planning on shooting anything you better than twice, I haven't checked those yet." Raven pointed to the bullets Bellamy was going to grab, while her hand was still on his armโ€” stopping him from taking the, most likely dud, bullets.

There was a cup of moonshine on the corner of the table, and Indigo stared at it for a momentโ€” her mouth almost watering at the sight. She wanted her head to be quiet since she had been so caught up in worrying about the constant death that engulfed the camp like flames.

Bellamy then narrowed his eyes at Ravenโ€” the cut on his nose more prominent in the light of the small dropship light that was placed on the table.

"Then give me some bullets that work," he said almost irritated at the brunette who tilted her head to glare at himโ€” still not taking her hand off his arm.

Indiho stared at the two for a moment, before looking at her shoesโ€” the tension making her stomach feel uneasy. Bellamy sharply inhaled and didn't stop glaring at Raven.

"Your boyfriend's being an idiot," Bellamy informed, nothing but irritation in his tone, and Raven didn't think twice about pulling away from Bellamy, and getting three cases of ammo for him.

She lifted them to Bellamy, and he took them from her hand, "I'm coming with you." Raven said almost sternly, while Jasper slid his jacket on.

"We should get Clarke." Jasper turned to Indigo, and she lifted her gaze to her friend, and Bellamy twisted to look at the boy talking to Indigo.

Raven pressed her lips into a thin line and looked at Bellamy and Indigo who glanced at one another with a, 'how do we lie?' face.

"Clarke's with Finn, isn't she?" Raven asked, her tone dampening at the two who immediately looked over at Raven when she spoke.

Bellamy didn't say anything, and just tapped Indigo's shoulder, and left the tentโ€” trying to get her to follow. Indigo quickly grabbed the cup of moonshine, and took a large swig, before glancing at Jasper and Raven who just stared at her with surprised looks.

Indigo then quickly followed after Bellamy, clutching onto the strings on her bag, and quickly caught up to him. Raven and Jasper quickly followed the two, as they endeavored out into the darkโ€” eerie, forest.

Bellamy didn't allow Indiho to have a gunโ€” he said, 'you'll end up shooting me.' which was half true. The alcohol wasn't as prominent in her system anymore, but just enough to make her drag her wordsโ€” and cause her to be more polite to Bellamy.

"How exactly are we supposed to find out where they are?" Raven asked, walking beside Jasper. Indigo looked observed her shoulder at the two and shrugged.

"Dunno." Bellamy said, his tone slightly hoarse, "She just walked in this direction." he said, and saw the hallucinogenic acorns on the ground.

Indigo then knelt and picked up the three acorn-shaped nuts into her hand. She stood up again, and showed Bellamy her palmโ€” and Jasper looked over Indigo's shoulder.

"At least, they're good for something," Bellamy said, glancing between Indigo's face, and her palm. Jasper then sighed, and he stood back to Raven's side.

"Sorry about bringing up Clarke earlier. That was awkward" Jasper apologized to the girl in the red jacket, who seemed bored by the words that spilled from Jasper's mouth.

Indigo then tossed the nuts to the sideโ€” scattering them into some bushes. The leaves of the plants rustled as the acorns rolled into the forest.

"Shut up," Raven muttered and positioned her bag over her shoulder. Bellamy then had a slightly irritated look on his face and stared out into the dark forest.

"Both of you shut up." he said blankly and looked over his shoulder at the two who stood behind Indigo and himself, "Keep your eyes open," he said and began to walk down the hill they were on.

Indigo sighed at the dark forest and began to follow behind the Bellamyโ€” to which Raven and Jasper followed.

Dawn began to fall through the sky and gave them
lightโ€” guiding them through the forest. It was a quiet trek, except for some small conversation falling between Raven and Jasperโ€” and occasionally Indigo.

All the alcohol that had poisoned Indigo's system had faded awayโ€” which made her more irritable with Bellamy.

The early morning birds sang through the crisp air as the four beelined to each pile of acorns. Occasionally Bellamy would inform the groupโ€” but avoided talking to any of them.

A bridge of some sort came into vision, and the four hesitantly approachedโ€” hiding behind the trees and bushes the moment they saw bodies on the stone bridge.

"What's Octavia doing here?" Jasper asked, his tone low and lightโ€” trying not to blow their cover. Bellamy's cut-up face stared at the bridgeโ€” slightly squinting his eyes to understand why his sister was there.

A manโ€” the grounder, ran across the bridge and engulfed Octavia in an embrace slightly lifting her in the air. Indigo tried to hold back a smile since Octavia was always rambling to Indigo about how good he was to her.

Indigo chewed on her bottom lipโ€” suppressing a smile, but glanced at Bellamy who glared at scene, and Jasper who had a light heartbroken expression brushed his face.

"Oh." was all Jasper could muster out at the scene on the bridgeโ€” disappointment rippling in his voice. But Raven slightly smirked at the embrace Octavia was having.

"I guess we know how he got away," Raven said smugly, but no one repliedโ€” and Bellamy was too furious to even speak at the sight.

Holding back any words, Indigo stared at the bridge, not wanting to be caught by Bellamyโ€” scared that he would scream at her for not telling him about the grounder and Octavia.

The moment the grounder pulled back from Octavia, he slowly lifted his head, looking up at Finn and Clarke, who hesitantly stepped back, not exactly trusting the man.

Finn then quickly protectively grabbed onto Clarke's hand, which only made Indigo's stomach churn for
Ravenโ€” whose entire smug look slid into a faltered one.

There was a beat of silence before Bellamy lifted his gun into position, leaning his head on the dark metal that glistened in the early sun, his eye staring through the scopeโ€” aiming at the grounder.

Indigo's eyes darted to Bellamyโ€” her look scolding, as the taste of moonshine only lingered on her tongue. She then looked up at the bridge, seeing large animals trek onto the bricked bridge.

"Wait." Indigo began, placing her hand on Bellamy's arm to pull him from thought, causing him to glance over at her, but she still had her eyes on the bridge, "Look." she said, her voice barely over a whisperโ€” while a small smile began to play at her lips.

Neighing echoed through the green of the forest, and Indigo pulled her hand from Bellamy's arm and stepped closer to the bridgeโ€” as if she could even get a better look.

"Horses!" she whisper-shouted, a large smile engulfing her lips, excited to see the creatureโ€” which she had never even fully understood the concept of.

Bellamy grabbed onto Indigo's arm and pulled her back behind the bushes with the rest of the groupโ€” since the grounders had the horses stop on the bridge.

Finn and Clarke rushed over to Octavia and Grounder, shouting something at themโ€” being somewhat irritated by something.

Indigo was frustrated that she couldn't hear the conversation, and shook Bellamy's grip from her arm, still slightly irritated with him, but she couldn't understand why.

Finn went to move forward, but the grounder quickly held him backโ€” stopping him from speaking to the earthborns. They all turned to Clarke before she began to slowly make her way toward the enemy that approached them.

A simmering anxiety hummed inside Indigo, only causing her heart to beat faster than it had been before. The tension only rose in the forest, as a woman from the grounder's side dismounted her horse, and began to walk towards Clarke.

The two met in the middle, stopping once they were about a foot away from each other. Indigo didn't see their lips move, which indicated that neither of them were speaking
yetโ€” until she saw the grounder's mouth move.

The two exchanged a few words, before Clarke stuck her hand out, trying to shake the woman's hand, but she just looked at it with a slight disgust.

Clarke slowly dropped her hand, while they began to speak againโ€” the words growing slightly aggressive, and the way their facial expressions were, only made Indigo worry more.

Seeming distraught, Clarke tried to hold up her sideโ€” the words that spewed around didn't seem like the Ark children were winning.

Raven then suddenly slowly lowered her gun, and glanced at Indigo and Bellamy who were side by side, staring at the bridge.

"Grounder princess looks pissed," Raven commented, her gaze fluttering back to the bridge that could make or break the camp.

"Our princess has that effect," Bellamy responded, slightly tilting his head to the side, while Indigo felt helpless, her hands-free of a gunโ€” that she could barely even use if she had it.

"Oh no." Jasper's wary voice broke up the small silence that cluttered them, "No." he said, "No, this is bad." which only made the three others in the group look at Jasper with a confusedโ€” and slightly worried, look.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Bellamy asked, which only caused Jasper to lift his gun to scope the trees again, his breathing heavy.

"There's grounders in the trees," he said in a breathy anxious tone, unlike any tone that had ever spilled from his lips.

"What?" Indigo asked a hint of paranoia and panic in her tone, but didn't bother to hide it, as she looked upโ€” trying to figure out what was happening.

"Where?" Bellamy asked, which made him quickly use his gun to scope the trees, which made him sigh in annoyance, his eyes darting from tree to tree.

"Are you sure?" Raven asked, her tone uncertain, as she lowered her gun, her eye trailing over from the scope to Jasper.

"I don't see anything." Bellamy's tone came out annoyed, as Indigo, slowly stepped closer to Bellamy, while she looked through the trees, seeing some movement, but just thinking it was her mind playing tricks on herโ€” that it was the moonshine that lightly lingered in her system.

Jasper was still paranoidโ€” since he was speared on his first dayโ€” but still scoped the trees. He then yelled something, but Indigo could barely process it until he ran forward, "They're gonna shoot! Clarke run!"

Indigo covered her ears with her hands when Jasper began to shoot up into the trees, causing everything to be quick. It was all too fastโ€” too fast.

Dax appeared in her mindโ€” the way he lay on the ground, collapsing with life, the bullet that only made his skull bleed with dull lifelessness, the crimson screaming in her ears all over again.

The moonshine didn't do this to her, it tricked her thoughts into being laughable ones. Raven and Jasper began to run off, while Bellamy attempted to get the last shot inโ€” his gun clicking in emptiness.

"Come on, Indie." Bellamy slightly raised his voice at her, grabbing her arm, and rushing her through the thick forest, ushering her to be quickโ€” but she hadn't even processed what had happened yet.

โ”€. โ˜†: *.โ˜ฝ .* :โ˜†๏พŸ. โ”€

Everyone had been running for who knows how long. The sun began to setโ€” and Bellamy's tight grip around Indigo's arm never pulled away.

Indigo felt sickโ€” maybe from the moonshine, maybe from the fact they had just caused another war, maybe from the running, maybe from the thoughts that ebbed at herโ€” but who knows why.

Everyone began to stop in the dark forestโ€” nothing but their mere panting heard. The torches that stood around the large walls of the camp lit up the area in an orange hue.

Indigo's legs felt like giving out, so she slightly leaned on Bellamyโ€” who still had a firm grip on her arm, as if she was going to run away the moment he let go.

Bellamy glanced down at Indigoโ€” but was too tired and exhausted to quip at her for being somewhat alright with him. Slowly, Bellamy let go of her arm, not wanting her to stand up straightโ€” he wanted her to depend on him, as weird as it sounded.

Finn glared at Bellamy, as he slowly rose from his hands being leaned down onto his knees. Bellamy then glanced up at Finn, and Indigo slowly pulled from Bellamy, running a sweaty hand through her hair.

Bellamy stared at her for a moment, before drifting his gaze back to Finnโ€” who didn't take his glare off of Bellamy, which only pissed him off more by the second.

"You got something to say?" Bellamy tested, his tone stern with Finn, while beads of sweat glistened on his forehead in the orange firelight.

"Yeah. I told you no guns!" Finn shouted at him, his eyes panning between Clarke and Bellamy, and Clarke quickly stepped forwardโ€” not wanting to let it all slide for Finn.

"I told you we couldn't trust the grounders. I was right." Clarke snapped at the longer-haired boyโ€” who couldn't snap back quick enough, only to be snapped at by his hurt girlfriend.

"Why didn't you tell me what you were up to?!" Raven spat at Finn, who was being cornered in a fight he started, causing Finn to turn his attention the the girl who had her hair constantly tied into a ponytail.

"I tried, but you were too busy making bullets for your gun." Finn snapped back at his girlfriendโ€” only to make Bellamy glare at Finn for not being grateful they saved his life.

"You're lucky she brought that!" Bellamy shouted into their fight, "They came there to kill you, Finn." he shook his head at Finn.

"You don't know that!" Finn said quickly, and stepped closer to Bellamy, "Jasper fired the first shot!" he gestured with his hand towards the guilty boy, who stood next to Indigoโ€” who was tangling her fingers through her hair, still calming her fast-paced breathing.

"You ruined everything," Octavia said, her eyes panning between the four who weren't on the bridgeโ€” which stung Indigo's soul.

Octavia quickly turned to go into camp, while Jasper shouted at her, "I saved you!" he yelled, tears wanting so badly to glisten in his eyes, he then scoffed, "You're welcome." Jasper murmured, pushing past everyoneโ€” heading into camp.

"Well, if we weren't at war already we sure as hell are now," Finn said, causing everyone to look away from himโ€” slightly ashamed of their actions.

Indigo was for sure. It hurt her how badly she wanted everything to finally be stableโ€” and she was wondering when her life ever was.

Maybe it was in her cellโ€” the porthole window still haunted her thoughts, even if she thought she had ridden it from her mind.

Her cell was peacefulโ€” full of dullness, sure, but it was quiet, with occasional screaming from down the hall ( which she later found out was a girl named Lila, who dated a douche named Graham ).

"You don't have to trust the grounders." Finn looked over at Indigo who slowly leaned onto a tree, and stared at her tatted converse, "You just had to trust me." Finn said with a sigh, his eyes now locked on the blonde, who led the camp.

Tears flooded her eyesโ€” almost pouring out, but she kept pushing them back. Clarke then was pushed to the side by Finn and Raven, who left to go into camp.

Indigo then slowly walked towards Bellamy's side, watching the two head into the large doors of the camp. The three stood for a moment, staring at the almost unfixable mess.

"Like I said" Bellamy paused for a moment, "best Unity Day ever." he stared at the orange-lit campโ€” but a loud explosion erupted through the sky, and the three turned to look.

The exodus ship had taken off early, and Indigo's voice came out hoarse, "The exodus ship?" she questioned aloud, the beam of light soaring across the galaxies that wept for Indigo day in and day out.

"Your mom's early," Bellamy added, his eyes locked on the dot of glow, that fell loudly through the skyโ€” a lavender hue around it.

The three stared up at the ship that came down suddenlyโ€” the speed of it faster than Raven's was. Indigo just assumed that's how it was, she wasn't smart in engineering, so she kept the small barely noticeable note in her head.

That was until Clarke pointed it out, "Wait." she paused, "Too fast." she stammered, "No parachute?" Clarke questioned nothingโ€” her tone almost heavy with worry that soaked her tone, "Something's wrong."

The ship soared behind the mountainsโ€” and a large boom was heard, causing a large explosion. A large ball of fire and smoke roseโ€” causing Indigo's breath to hitch, unable to take her eyes off the horrid scene.
