INDIGO AND BELLAMY were walking through the dark forestโ€” guns over their shoulders that were tied together. It was silent, the only thing Indigo hurt was their feet shuffling through the soil, or the guns clanking together.

Indigo's thoughts loomed with Dax, and how she had just taken his life. She was only supposed to go to the supply depot and come back.

What was she going to tell Clarke? Would she understand?

"Indigo." Bellamy's voice slightly raised at herโ€” and she quickly looked over, "I've been calling your name for like five minutes."

"Oh." Indigo stared at him blankly, before looking ahead of her again, "Sorry." she added quickly, "What?" she asked, glancing at him, then back ahead of her.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his eyes glued on her, barely even watching where he was headed. Indigo then shrugged and stepped over a mossy log.

"I'll be fine," she said, her flashlight in her other hand, as she pointed the light ahead of them. Bellamy then copied her actionโ€” stepping over the log.

"Yeah, that's not what I asked." he sighed at her obvious way of avoiding talking about it. Indigo then glanced over at him her face blank.

"It is." Indigo started, "It's just not the answer you wanted." she said and glanced at a bird that startled her, flying right by her.

"Indigo," Bellamy began sternly, coming to a halt, causing Indigo to stop and turn to him, "Are you okay?" he asked, blood still partially covering his face, even after Indigo cleaned it up.

Indigo stared blankly at himโ€” not saying anything. What was she supposed to say? She wasn't going to spill her guts out to Bellamy of all people.

"Indigo?" Bellamy broke her from her trance, "Are you okay?" he repeated as if she hadn't heard the question. Indigo then stared at him blankly for another momentโ€” her tear-stained face lit in the moonlight that hung over them.

"I am," she said in a monotone voice. Bellamy stared at her for another momentโ€” debating on whether to argue with her about it or leave it be.

"Look, about Dax-" he began, but was quickly cut off by Indigo, who was slightly hostile on the topicโ€” having killed another person.

"Can we just go?" Indigo asked, shaking her head at the sensitive topic. Bellamy sighed at her wordsโ€” her eyes darting away from him.

"Okay." he then turned towards the way they were walking, "Okay, let's go." Bellamy began to walk, unsure of how to comfort the murdering girl.

Bellamy and Indigo walked into camp while a group of teens were surrounding the dropship. Indigo sighed, at the sight of Clarkeโ€” knowing she'd have to tell her about Dax, and the promise she made with Bellamy.

"He's gone." Miller announced to the crowd of teens, whose highs were lowering, "The grounder is gone!" he yelled louder at the group of teens who began to swarm the dropship area.

"What if he brings other grounders back?" a boy asked, rushing to the crowdโ€” while everyone murmured about the topic of the escaped grounder.

"They'll kill us all," Jasper added worriedly, rushing through the crowd. Raven then stepped into the middle of the crowd.

"Or worse," she added, only scaring more people, Bellamy then glanced at Indigo before booming into the middle of the crowd.

"Let the grounders come." he began, and Indigo walked at his side, her shoulder aching from carrying the guns over it, "We've been afraid of them for far too long, and why?" the crowd all stated at Indigo and Bellamy, "Because of their knives and spears."

He then glanced at Indigo, who slightly tilted her head at him, her eyes darting around at the more prominent cuts in the torchlight.

Looking back to the crowd, he began to speak again, "Well, I don't know about you. But I'm tired of being afraid." Bellamy then glanced at Indigo once more and nodded at her to drop the guns.

Indigo and Bellamyโ€” in unison, pulled the guns off their shoulders and showed the crowd, who began to murmur at one another. Some of them began to cheer, which was odd, but it was a new way they could survive.

Clarke then rushed over them with a smile, as if she was approving of their job. Indigo didn't much care, she was just achingโ€” mentally, and physically.

"These are weapons," Clarke began, and turned to the crowd, "Okay, not toys, and we have to be prepared to give them up to the guard when the dropships come, but until then, they're gonna help keep us safe." she finished her rushed speech since she didn't even know the two had them, until a moment ago.

"And there are plenty more where these came from." Bellamy informed, a stern look on his bloody face, "Tomorrow we start training, and if the grounders come, we're gonna be ready to fight."

Indigo had talked it all out with Clarkeโ€” who knew what she had done to Dax was only out of self-defense. Indigo was partially upset that she didn't scold her for killing a person.

Clarke also was happy that Indigo had convinced Bellamy to talk to Jaha, but Indigo was going to help
convince him. Indigo felt nothing but guilt in her stomach when Clarke left to inform Jaha.

Indigo then walked out of the dropship, and saw Bellamy talking to Octaviaโ€” she pondered whether or not to barge in, but she was supposed to go talk to Jaha in just a moment.

"Bellamy..." Indigo spoke, and Bellamy turned to her, "Come on." she slightly tilted her head to gesture for him to follow her into the tent, that Clarke just left, "It's time."

Bellamy then paused for a moment, glancing at Octavia, but then walked towards Indigo. Bellamy then stopped and turned towards Octavia againโ€” causing Indigo to give him a confused look.

"That grounder escaping, was that you?" Bellamy asked the girl, who just stared out of the wall that surrounded the camp.

Octavia paused briefly before speaking, "I had nothing to do with it." she said plainly, not even glancing at her brother. Bellamy stared at her for a moment, before turning towards Indigo again, "Thanks for the blanket." she spoke again, causing Bellamy to glance at her one last time, before walking towards Indigo.

Indigo then walked into the tent, and Bellamy quickly after herโ€” clearly nervous about the whole thing. Jaha's face was plastered onto the screen, as the two set the headphones on their heads.

"Mr, Blake," Jaha began, "I've wanted to talk to you for some time now," he said, but the TV screen glitched for a moment, before returning to normal.

Bellamy then glanced at Indigo, who quickly began to speak, before Jaha and Bellamy could converse about whether or not he shouldโ€” well, be killed.

"Wait," Indigo sighed, and glanced up at the TV from her lap, "Just, um, before you do, uh," Indigo then glanced at Bellamy who was already staring at her, "I'd, um, I'd like to say something." she ripped her gaze from the curly-head sitting beside her.

Jaha stayed quiet, waiting for Indigo to speak. Indigo paused for a momentโ€” and Bellamy took his eyes off her, to look at the screen for a moment.

"When you sent us down here," Indigo then let out a sad sigh, her eyes darting to her feet, then back to the screen, "you sent us to die," her voice became slightly hoarse, but quickly became proper once again, "but miraculously, most of us are still alive."

Bellamy then looked over at Indigo, which she didn't really know since she was so into her speech. Indigo then glanced at Bellamy, trying to give him a weak smile, before looking back at the screenโ€” continuing.

"And a lot of it is because of him," Indigo then glanced at Bellamy again, "because of Bellamy," she said then let out a sigh, and turned her head to give him another reassuring look.

The two stared at one another for a brief moment, before looking back at the screen. Indigo then lost her words for a momentโ€” trying to gather up more to say, about Bellamy.

"He's one of us, and he deserves to be pardoned for his crimes just like the rest of us will be," Indigo stated coldly at the TV, trying to let Jaha know that she was angry at him.

"Indigo..." the man started, obviously going to shut her downโ€” since Bellamy literally shot him, "I appreciate your point of view, I do, but it is not that simple."

Indigo furrowed her eyebrows at the TV, "It is." she began, her tone becoming stern, "He's done everything he could just to be with his sister- that you, you took from him." her tone was irritated, and not even glancing at Bellamy anymoreโ€” all her nerves switched to anger, "He didn't know if Earth was safe, but he still did all of it just so she wouldn't be alone."

Indigo then sharply inhaled, and shook her head, her eyes darting to her shoes againโ€” collecting her thoughts that rushed like a river through her brain.

"If you all come down, and don't pardon him, I swear that most of the hundred will not appreciate it, and rebel." Indigo began to spit out at the man who still stared blankly at her on the screen, "They've all followed him since day one. Even if he runs, I'll bet you half of the kids in this camp will go with him. All of your people will lose their children to you."

Jaha stared at the girlโ€” he didn't know exactly what to say. Bellamy just stared at her, a hint of shock gracing his features, but he tried to hide it. Indigo didn't take her eyes off the man who was on the screen.

"Look, if you pardon me I'll tell you who on the Ark wants you dead." Bellamy quickly budded in, trying to break the silence that only raised the tension even more.

Jaha then paused again, as if he was pondering the decision. He let out a sigh and looked down at the table that the camera was on. Indigo continued to clench her jawโ€” her rage barely keeping her still.

The Chancellor then rested his arms on the table, his gaze slowly lifting back to the screen. He paused briefly before speaking.

"Bellamy Blake," Jaha began, "you're pardoned for your crimes." he finished, causing Bellamy to let out a sigh of relief, and look down on his lap with a small smile.

Indigo glanced at him, giving him a hopeful smileโ€” the anger that was once screaming in her body all melted away once he glanced at her with the smile.

"Now," the Chancellor began, "tell me who gave you the gun." his tone was slightly stern with the two, causing Indigo to get hostile with the man again, but she was trying to give him a breakโ€” he had just found out his son was dead.

Indigo walked out of the tentโ€” most of the camp asleep. Bellamy followed behind, and Indigo was staring at one of the torches, her arms crossed over one anotherโ€” and jaw clenched.

"Thank you, Indigo." Bellamy said in a lower tone than
usualโ€” mainly trying not to wake anyone in camp, "You should go to bed. Today's been a lot."

Indigo glanced over at him, giving him a small smile, but then shook her head the moment he mentioned sleep. She then looked at the torch againโ€” the flames flickering in her eyes.

"He wasn't going to pardon you," Indigo said, her tone merely a whisper, Bellamy then glanced at the girl, who was hurt in so many ways today.

"But he did," Bellamy added, trying to pull her from her spacey head that would overthink everything. Indigo then shook her head.

"Not until we had a bargain." Indigo stares at the flame, anger flickering in her eyes, "He didn't believe that you were a good person." she spat out, her eyes not off the torch that was skewered upโ€” taller than both of them.

"You did good, Indigo." Bellamy began, and she turned her attention to him, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion, "Thank you." he repeated.

Indigo stared at him for a moment, "Don't thank me." Indigo turned her attention to the flame again, "You, um, you-" Indigo then cleared her throat, her words stuttering, "You deserve it."

'You did good, Indigo.'

"Yeah, well, I couldn't have convinced him myself." Bellamy kept his eyes on the girl, who felt her legs weaken slightly.

"I think you could've." Indigo glanced at him, guilt wavering through herโ€” at the fact that she was getting giddy after she had just taken Dax's life from him.

"I don't think so, Indie." he scoffed, and patted her shoulder, walking past her, "'Night," Bellamy said whilst walking away.

"'Night." Indigo echoed, glancing over her shoulder at Bellamy who walked away from her. Indigo then looked back at the flickering flame that lit up her eyes.

"You did good, Indigo."

It wasn't bullshit when Indigo said that words meant the world to her.

The next morning Indigo tried to get her mind off everything, by helping sort more rations. She tried to use Jasper and Monty to get it off her mind, usually, they would maker constantly laugh, to the point her stomach hurtโ€” which she had never felt before.

Jasper and Monty worked, but barely. Indigo's eyes trailed on Bellamy as he walked around the
campโ€” ordering the delinquents to work on the camp.

'You did good, Indigo.'

Good? Indigo did good? What the fuck does that mean?

If Indigo had a journal, she'd ramble about everything so much that she'd fill it in two days. But if Indigo had a journal, she would only write in it about; "You did good, Indigo."

Indigo had just killed a boyโ€” and he was praising her? For what? Saving him? Clarke would do that. Clarke saved everyone, she definitely could convince Jaha to save him.

The next would be Unity Day. Indigo didn't enjoy Unity Day, since she wasn't allowed to be there for itโ€” she had to watch it on the TV.

Everyone was preparing for Unity Dayโ€” even Monty and Jasper were secretly making moonshine for the event. Indigo had never tried moonshine, but she had whiskyโ€” from Finn, but never moonshine.

"You did good, Indigo."

Indigo then huffed frustratedly, as the words rang through her ears, and Monty and Jasper gave her a confused lookโ€” then glanced at one another.

"You alright, Gogo?" Jasper asked, as he put
purpleโ€” no, blue berries, into a jar. Indigo then shook herself out of her thoughts and looked up at him.

"Hmm?" she bummed out a reply, glancing between the two, a perplexed look on her face as she looked down at her hands, which were stained blue.

"You okay?" Monty asked, "You've been off ever since you left yesterday." he pointed out, worried for his friend.

Indigo glanced between the two who were at her sides, "Yeah, of course, I am." she gave them false smiles, "Why wouldn't I be?"

"That's why we asked you, Gogo." Jasper added, nudging her shoulder, "You're okay though? How was your vacay with your boyfriend?" Jasper tilted to Bellamy's direction where Bellamy wasโ€” a few meters ahead of them.

"I am okay." Indigo nodded, and pushed about twenty berries into a small makeshift bag, "Yesterday was fine." she saidโ€” blandly, not wanting to spare any details.

"You did good, Indigo."

"That bad, huh?" Monty asked, knowing her iffyโ€” and avoidant tone. Indigo glanced at Monty with an oblivious look.

"I didn't say that?" Indigo said but it came out more as a question, not knowing a lot about certain slangโ€” and some sarcasm went right over her head since she wasn't really with her peers growing up.

"No, but it was obviously not good, based on the way you said it," Jasper added to Monty's comment, to which Monty nodded.

Indigo then stared at them, glancing between them both, "You could tell?" Indigo said slowly, furrowing her eyebrows, "...By my tone?"

"Yeah?" Monty and Jasper said in unisonโ€” in her same questioning tone. Indigo then gave them a small laugh at their unison.

"Yesterday was whatever." Indigo shrugged, and looked back down at her palms, sorting the berries once again. Monty and Jasper glanced at one another.

"How was it being with Mr. Whatever the hell we want?" Monty askedโ€” the two boys obviously wanting to know the details of the quest from yesterday.

"I already said it was fine." Indigo let out a small awkward laughโ€” wanting to get out of the conversation desperately, "We, um, got along. So, it's all okay."

"You got along?" Jasper said in a confused tone, glancing in Bellamy's direction. Indigo didn't look up at the two and nodded.

"Yeah, we're cool now." Indigo tried to say smoothly
butโ€” evidently failed from the odd looks on Jasper and Monty's face.

"Does cool mean like-" Jasper began, "Like- making out, or what?" he asked the girl who stood between them. Indigo then grimaced at his words and glanced at the two's amused looks.

"The fuck?" Indigo gave them both another grimace, "That's nasty. Don't even try and go there." she spoke in a disgusted tone, her eyes lowering back to the berries in hand.

'You did good, Indigo.'
