INDIGO HAD CALMED down the next morning, finally speaking again. She then went to bring Wells some food a small smile on her faceโ walking out of the wall that was built out of everything they could find.
Stepping through her Earth, which hadn't been very kind to herโ but she still appreciated it. Indigo couldn't find Wellsโ he was watching the camp the night before, but was nowhere to be seen.
Waryโ Indigo slowly held the bag, which was crossed over her body, tightly. Indigo then slipped into something and fell into some sort of liquid. Indigo then blinked her eyes for a momentโ her expression faltering at the sight of Wells.
Indigo's eyes widened and she quickly shuffled
backwardโ letting out a sharp cry, her scream probably bursting someone's ear drums. Indigo then looked down at her handsโ covered in crimson that laughed at her frantic state.
Her father's face appeared in her mindโ the blood dripping from his mouthโ the blood on her hands, the same way it was now. Indigo's eyes moved up to look at Wells's body in front of herโ seeing her father's bloody body.
Indigo breath felt like it was taken from herโ she couldn't breathe. Indigo couldn't hear. She couldn't move.
Bellamy quickly rushed out of the wall of the campโ with a few others, unsure of what was outside of the gate. The group didn't hear any more screams, so they had to look for the culprit of the screams.
Bellamy then saw Indigo's hair and quickly rushed
overโ stopping when he saw Wells's body laying lifeless a few feet in front of her, a slit on his throat. He glanced down at Indigo's bloody handsโ but didn't see any weapon, or why she would even do itโ they were friends.
Bellamy then quickly pulled her up by the
shouldersโ her eyes not even glancing at who was helping her up, she was frozen in time. Her mom, her dad, Atom, and now Wells's faces were going to taunt her for the rest of her life.
Bellamy told the two others who were with him to get Wells's bodyโ and go talk to Clarke, but Indigo's ears were ringing too loudly for her to even hear his voice.
Bellamy then held onto Indigo's forearmsโ having to guide her back to camp. Indigo held her hands out in front of her, scared the crimson would hop onto any other part of her body.
He had to sneak Indigo through the side of the camp, not wanting anyone to see her bloodyโ and shocked state. Bellamy pulled her into the dropship that
wasโ luckily, empty.
Bellamy washed her bloody hands off, but she still wasn't looking at himโ or even speaking. He just continued to wipe her hands down with a damp rag, glancing at her every moment or so.
She had just started to speakโ and this was probably going to force her to stop speaking for a week. Once her hands were fully cleaned she stared at them for a moment before slowly lowering them to her sides.
Bellamy didn't know what to say to her, but he knew it was best if he didn'tโ since she didn't even know what was happening anymore. She didn't even remember Bellamy pulling her into the dropshipโ which was literally a minute ago.
Indigo thought she was going to die firstโ not survive this planet that was constantly out to get her. But here she was, thinking of another deadโ who was ten times smarter and more skilled than her. How was she supposed to survive?
Indigo finally set her vision on Bellamy, a blank expression still plastered all over her face. Bellamy sighed at her state, and took his jacket, throwing it onto her bare armsโ her puffer jacket still absent from her arms.
Indigo hesitantly put her arms through the sleeves of the jacket but glanced back up at Bellamyโ wanting to thank him, but her throat felt as if it was
closedโ cemented.
"Stay here, okay?" Bellamy asked, and she didn't even say anything, he knew she wasn't going to leave her position, but he asked her to anyway.

"Who found him?" Octavia asked her brother, as three delinquents carried Wells's body to the where graves were located.
Bellamy and Octavia were stood outside the large wall that contained the grounds to the camp. Bellamy didn't say anything for a moment, before glancing down at Octavia, then back up.
"Indigo," Bellamy replied with his arms crossed over his chest. Octavia's eyes went wide at the name, and she went to go back into camp, but Bellamy put a hand in front of herโ stopping her.
"I need to see her." Octavia argued, "She's-" she went to argue again, but Bellamy cut off her words and lowered his arm.
"No." he said sternly, "She's in shock," Bellamy informed Octavia, and she scoffed at his words, going to push past him once again, but was quickly stopped again.
"She needs-" Octavia began again, still upset about Atom, knowing how it feels to lose someone and see their body.
"No, O, she's not talking again, and won't even move." Bellamy scolded his younger sister, making her face soften at the words.

Two days later Indigo was slightly speaking
againโ unable to get Wells out of her thoughts. Bellamy would randomly talk to herโ which Indigo knew was out of pity, which she hated. She didn't want anyone to worry about her, and she knew other people were worried too.
Indigo was scrubbing her hands for the fortieth time today, unable to getโ the blood that wasn't there anymore, off her hands.
After she was locked up in the skybox, she constantly scrubbed her hands when she was allowed showers. She was scrubbing them until they would turn redโ and felt like they were going to fall off.
"Don't waste water," Bellamy said, causing her to look over her shoulder at him. Indigo sighed at his presence, not wanting him to constantly check up on her.
Indigo then took her hands out of the weird kind of sink they made. Indigo then shook her hands dryโ before wiping them on her pants.
"Sorry." She replied blandly, turning to look at him, and he just stared at her for a moment. Bellamy then sighed at her tone and crossed his arms over his chest.
Indigo then walked awayโ not wanting to speak to anyone. She walked through the working campโ stuffing her hands into her puffer jacket pockets, since she had returned Bellamy's jacket the moment she started speaking again.
Indigo then saw Octavia, Jasper, and Clarke rushing towards Bellamy. Indigo then quickly joined the group, unsure of what would be so important.
"What's going on?" Indigo asked Octavia, to which she glanced in her brother's directionโ as Clarke walked up to Bellamy first.
Clarke looked angry and distraught while she was speaking to himโ Indigo then walked closer, but Bellamy and Clarke were already walking towards his tentโ Jasper and Octavia rushing behind to two.

"So, what now?" Indigo asked, her arms crossed over her chestโ as the group of five all stared at Wells's fingers and the weapon that ended his life on the dropship table that was in Bellamy's tent.
Clarke grabbed the dropship knife that was on the
tableโ covered in the same crimson that covered Indigo's hands two days before. Clarke examined the knifeโ that was obviously one of the camp members since it was dropship metal.
"This knife was made of metal from the dropship," Clarke said, not answering Indigo's questions, Indigo then sighed, and chewed on her bottom lipโ staring at the two fingers that lay on the table.
"What do you mean?" Jasper asked, knowing what that meant, but he didn't want to accept that it was one of their own killing them.
"Who else knows about this?" Bellamy asked, his tone lowโ as he scanned over the four that were all standing around his table.
"No one." Octavia shook her head, "We brought it straight to you." Octavia looked up at her brother, her hands on the table.
"Clarke?" Jasper's stared at her since she still didn't answer Indigo's or his question. Clarke didn't respond, just sighed and stared at the metal in her hands.
Indigo then sighedโ taking her eyes away from the fingers on the table, and looked over at Jasper, "It means the grounders didn't kill Wells." Indigo said lowly, "It was one of us."
Clarke glanced up at Indigo slowly nodding at her
wordsโ which worried Jasper, making him sharply inhale.
"So, there's a murderer in the camp?" Jasper asked, lifting his head to look at Clarke again. Indigo's stomach twisted at the word, hoping no one would label her as that.
"There's more than one murderer in this camp." Bellamy glanced at Indigoโ to which she quickly darted her vision away, "This isn't news. We need to keep it quiet."
Clarke didn't look happy at his suggestion, so she quickly walked around the tableโ going to leave the tent, but Bellamy quickly blocked her way.
"Get out of my way, Bellamy." the blonde spat at Bellamy and he stared down at herโ knowing she was going to defy him anyway, but he was going to try and talk her out of it.
"Be smart about this." Bellamy said lowly, "Look at what we've achieved- the wall, the patrols." Bellamy tried to reason with the blonde, "Like it or not, thinking the grounders killed Wells is good for us."
Indigo then scoffed at his wordsโ yeah, they should keep it quiet, but they still needed to figure it out and find out who did it. They couldn't let someone get away with killing someone innocent.
"Oh, good for you, you mean." Clarke snapped, "What- keep people afraid and they'll work for you?" Clarke asked Bellamy, "Is that it?"
"Yeah, that's it." he said bluntly, "But it's good for all of us." Bellamy's tone was calmโ not trying to fight with Clarke, "Fear of the grounders is building that wall. And besides what are you going to do, just walk out there and ask the killer to step forward?" Bellamy asked her, "You don't even know whose knife that is."
"Oh, really?" Clarke asked in a testy tone, "J.M. John Murphy." the blonde raised the knife to Bellamy, to show him the initials, "The people have a right to know." she pushed past Bellamyโ leaving the tent.
Indigo then stood there staring at Bellamy for a moment, before walking out of the tentโ Octavia quickly following behind, then Jasper, then
Bellamyโ but he waited a moment, almost annoyed that he had to.
Indigo then saw Clarke run up to Murphy and shove him backward. Clarke then yelled at him, as he had an amused look on his face.
"You son of a bitch!" Clarke shouted loudly out of anger. Indigo didn't know what to do, it wasn't her place to budge inโ but he shouldn't have killed Wells.
"What's your problem?" Murphy laughed at her anger, amused at her sudden outburstโ but Clarke then quickly lifted the dropship knife.
"Recognize this?" Clarke askedโ nothing but anger filling her tone, Murphy then stared at the knife for a moment before responding.
"It's my knife." Murphy said as if it were obvious, "Where'd you find it?" he asked the blondeโ going to grab it from her hand, but she quickly pulled it away.
"Where you dropped it after you killed Wells." Clarke snapped at Murphy, but Murphy just gave her a confused look.
"Where I what?" he asked her, annoyance lacing his tone because of the accusation, Murphy then stepped closer to her, "The grounders killed Wells, not me."
"I know what you did," Clarke hissed at him, "and you're gonna pay for it." she tried to intimidate him, but he just gave her an amused look.
"Really?" Murphy asked glancing in Bellamy's direction, causing Indigo to glance at Bellamy who was beside her, "Bellamy, you really believe this crap?"
Bellamy didn't say anythingโ just kept his arms crossed over his chest, and a serious look on his face. Indigo then looked back at Murphy with a blank lookโ not knowing what was the truth.
"You threatened to kill him. We all heard you" Clarke began, "You hated Wells." she spat outโ but Murphy just kept a blank face.
"Plenty of people hated Wells." Murphy said dryly, "His father was the Chancellor that locked us up." he announced to the crowd that began to form around them.
"Yeah, but you're the only one who got in a knife fight with him." Clarke began to shout at Murphyโ but Murphy still was trying to defend himself.
"Yeah, I didn't kill him then, either." Murphy clarified, but the moment his words left his mouth Octavia quickly budded inโ adding to the brewing verbal fight.
"Tried to kill Jasper, too." Octavia tilted her head at
himโ speaking in a matter-of-fact tone, causing Jasper's eyes to go wide at the new information he was just told.
"What?" Jasper askedโ causing him to look around at the crowd with a wary and confused look. Murphy then looked around at the silent crowd.
"Come on. This is ridiculous." Murphy said, "I don't have to answer to you." he spat out at Clark, "I don't have to answer to anyone." he spat out to the crowd, who all murmured about himโ whilst he began to walk away, but stopped when he saw Bellamy
"Come again?" Bellamy askedโ his tone serious, causing Indigo to glance over at him. Murphy stared at Bellmay for a moment before walking closer.
"Bellamy, look, I'm telling you, man. I didn't do this." Murphy said in a quiet toneโ almost convincing Indigo that he wasn't lying.
"They found his fingers on the ground with your knife," Bellamy said in a low toneโ copying Murphy's. Bellamy stared at Murphy, but Murphy just looked away.
"Is this the kind of society that we want?" Clarke asked the crowd, looking around at the sea of teensโ she then turned to look at Bellamy, "You say they're should be no rules. Does that mean that we can kill each other without- without punishment?"
Murphy then turned towards Clarke, "I already told you. I didn't kill anyone." Murphy began to walk back towards Clarke.
"I say we float him." someone from the crowd shouted, causing some other delinquents to agreeโ murmuring amongst the crowd of 'yeah's.
Indigo then chewed on her bottom lipโ she didn't want thisโ she didn't want any of this. She was supposed to die a over week ago, and now she has Earth weighing on her constantly.
"That's not what I'm saying." Clarke turned to a dark-skinned boy who shouted out into the crowd, and he shrugged at her.
"Why not? He deserves to float. It's justice." the same boy said, but Clarke then stepped forward, giving him a disapproving look.
"Revenge isn't justice." Clarke tried to stop the fire that she startedโ but it began to get out of control, causing other juveniles to join the boy's side.
"It's justice." he confirmed, staring at Clarke for a moment, before turning to the crowd, "Float him!" the boy began to chantโ while other teens joined into the chanting, yelling 'float him'.
Indigo looked around at the crowd that was now out of controlโ that was chanting loudly. Murphy then went to lunge at the boy who started this but was
trippedโ being thrown into the sea of teens.
They all began to kick Murphyโ beating him, as Clarke tried to stop it, this not being the point she was trying to make.
"Okay, that's enough." Indigo went to push through the crowd by was quickly pulled back by Bellamyโ not waning her in the fight.
Indigo then watched as they tied a gag around his
mouthโ and pulled him away, throwing him down a hill. Indigo then pulled out of Bellamy's grasp and rushed throughโ trying to get through the crowd the best she could.
Someone then threw a rope over a large tree and began to tie it around Murphy's neck, beginning to pull the boy up.
Indigo couldn't get through anywhereโ there was too much. It was just more blood on all of their hands, which would make Indigo scrub her hands even worse the next time.
Indigo then rushed over to Bellamy, "You can stop this! They'll listen to you!" Indigo shouted over the
crowdโ wanting to try and fix the whole thing.
Bellamy stared at her for a moment not responding, but once he opened his mouth, he was quickly interrupted by the boy who started this.
"Bellamy! You should do it." he called to himโ and then began to chant his name, causing the others to try and convince him to do it, "Bell-a-my!" they all began to chant.
Clarke then pushed through to Bellamy, "I saw you with Atom in the woods, I know you're not a killer." Clarke tried to reason with him, "Bellamy- don't do this-"
Bellamy then pushed past Clarke and Indigo, walking towards Murphy's hanging bodies, as a crate was at his feet.
Indigo and Clarke quickly tried to pull at the
manโ practically begging him not to take Murphy's life. Indigo knew his backstory, so she had some sympathy for him. Bellamy ignored them, pushing them off, before kicking the crate beneath him.
Murphy fellโ his neck still holding him onto the rope. The crowd began to cheer, causing Indigo to back up from Bellamyโ her breath shaky.
Clarke then pushed him in anger, "No! Bellamy! No!" she sobbed at the sight of Murphy being hung into the airโ his voice muffled, trying to speak through the gag in his mouth.
"This is on you, princess." Bellamy shouted at Clarke amongst the commotion, "You should've kept your mouth shut!" he spat out at her.
Finn then ran through the crowd, repeating 'cut him down!' as he shoved through the crowdโ trying to save Murphy's life.
Indigo covered her ears at the shouting and commotion wanting to scream loudlyโ hoping it would all stop soon.
"Just stop! Okay?" Charlotte shouted at the boy who had Finn, and a knife at his neck, "Murphy didn't kill Wells!" she shouted out at everyone, causing everyone to look at the small girl.
Indigo furrowed her eyebrowsโ slowly lowering her hands from her ears at the girl's sudden outburst, "What are you talking about?" Indigo asked herโ confusion practically lining her words.
"I did!" Charlotte shoutedโ announcing to the crowd. Indigo then gasped and looked up at Murphy who was still hangingโ Indigo looked at Charlotte one more time, a disappointed look on her face.
Indigo quickly grabbed the axe that was in Bellamy's pant loop and swung it at the rope that was holding the choking boy upโ causing him to fall to the ground.
