5. The Broken Celestial
Lorna - TheFatalWoman
"NO!" Screamed Lorna Beckham, both in pain and in horror as Azathoth impaled her abdomen with his hand and ripped out an almost fully developed fetus from her pregnant belly. He then tossed it to a group of Void Hounds who quickly ate it up, his dark laugh echoing through the void as he did so. The father, Magnus, the other celestial of the void, was completely motionless on the ground because of a cosmic strength paralysis serum, but his eyes were open and he was forced to watch as his baby was ripped out... and killed.
There are moments that the words don't reach
There is suffering too terrible to name
You hold your child as tight as you can
And push away the unimaginable
It had been a year since that day and Magnus had never gotten over it, and he probably never would. The screams of his wife and the sight of his future baby being just... tossed away like that was ingrained in his mind and it broke him to the point that he had pushed away everyone, pretty much. Including the woman he loved.
The moments when you're in so deep
It feels easier to just swim down
He now walked through the park he had basically claimed down on earth and just stared at the memorial he had set up for his baby, sniffling and shaking his head. "Angel," he whispered to himself, a sad, weak smile spreading across his face, "that would have been your name... you would have been so beautiful and loved; the princess among the court of celestials."
I spend hours in the garden
I walk alone to the store
And it's quiet uptown
He then teared up and began to sip from a bottle of bourbon he had brought with him. "Gods... why did I let Lorna into the Void?" He asked himself, letting a few sobs escape as he fell to his knees in front of the memorial, "this is all my fault... all of it... If I had just... kept her out, this would have never happened..."
I never liked the quiet before
I take the children to church on Sunday
A sign of the cross at the door
He then began the sob even harder and then let out a horrible, agonizing scream that was so loud and powerful it made the ground beneath him begin to crack and several trees fall over. Magnus was a shell of the man he used to be and would never forget the day he lost everything... and a part of him would never recover from his losses. When that baby was ripped out and killed, so was a large piece of his heart and soul.
Philip, you would like it uptown, it's quiet uptown
