     THE JONES HOUSEHOLD WAS COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY SILENT BEFORE THE SOUND OF TUMULTUOUS FOOTSTEPS RACED DOWN THE ATTIC STAIRS, DOWN THE HALLWAY, AND SHOT DOWN THE STAIRCASE BEFORE SPRINTING TOWARD THE FRONT DOOR. Amandla had never moved so fast in her life and the world flew by her in a whirl until she came to a halt, her fingers fumbling with the lock. Once she unlocked the door, she swung it wide open and came face-to-face with Tom, Harrison, and Keilah.

     Before she had the chance to catch her breath or react, Tom stepped forward and pulled her into a loving embrace. Letting out a sigh of relief, she squeezed her eyes shut and wrapped her arms around him. "Surprise, love," he mumbled, kissing the side of her head.

     "Thank you," she choked out, feeling the bundle of buzzing anxiety in the middle of her chest slowing down. Instead of answering her, Tom pulled away and cupped her cheeks, kissing her softly. From behind, Keilah rolled her eyes as a smile spread across her lips and Harrison glanced over at her, noticing the happy expression on her face.

     Pulling away, Amandla beamed up at Tom before her gaze flickered to the two standing behind him. "Harrison!" she exclaimed, stepping around the brown-haired actor and wrapping her arms around the other boy.

     "Hey, Mands," he laughed, giving her a tight squeeze before retracting.

     Before she could say anything, Keilah quickly spoke up, "You're welcome."

     Snapping her line of sight to her best friend, she broke into a wide grin. "I love you," she replied, outreaching her hand for Keilah to hold. Intertwining their fingers, she squeezed the blonde's hand tightly.

     "And I, you," Keilah murmured, squeezing back.

     yes, hi. hello. what's up? it's been a minute.

     i'm so sorry for not updating in literally over two months, but i have had a lot going on & and i've been working every day. (not to mention i just moved into my own apartment with my best friend for the school year & classes literally started yesterday.) i'm so tired and have no energy to write for any of my books, but hopefully, that will change. i'm working on finishing chapters 48 to 58 within the next few weeks, so i will be updating frequently soon!

     also, i know that this is a relatively short chapter (especially the real life portion), but i just wanted to get something out there for everyone who has been reading & supporting this book since day 1. it means a lot and i love y'all. it was originally going to be super long but i've been stuck on this chapter for months and just needed to get it out. so, here you go.

     𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒: ok, i have one announcement! it's not as crazy as the last ones, i promise. first and foremost/aka the only news i have (1), the second book is officially titled 𝐇𝐄𝐑! i created a playlist for it and everything on my spotify. (the link for my account is in my bio if you want to follow me on there.)

     i do, however, want to mention that i am not 100% positive that 𝐇𝐄𝐑 will be out by the end of 2020 or if i will make it super long. i've recently come to a decision regarding my wattpad account and time on here, and am not sure how much longer i'm going to stick around once i finish writing the books i have published and the other book i'm working on. so, please don't expect too much from me or demand that i stick to releasing 𝐇𝐄𝐑 in case i decide not to. this is my account and i'm starting to build my own adult life and feel like i'm gradually outgrowing my time on here.

     anyways for this book and possibly 𝐇𝐄𝐑, is there anything specific you all want to see happen or occur? i'm open to ideas right now, so drop some if you'd like! if i decide to publish 𝐇𝐄𝐑, the book will be published once this book is completed for the sake of avoiding spoilers and ruining future events. i am almost done with the entirety of 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐓𝐰𝐨 (i only have chapters 89 to 98 & 100 left), so once 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐎𝐧𝐞 is completed, i will be updating every week. reminder that the last chapter of 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐎𝐧𝐞 is chapter 59, so that's pretty soon-ish!
