     IT SHOULDN'T'VE AFFECTED HER LIKE THIS. His words. They shouldn't have, but they did.

     Her arms rested against the cool surface of the small kitchen table in the trailer, her chin resting on top of her hands. A glass of water was placed in front of her and her emerald green eyes were glued to it as she sighed heavily. We're just friends, right? Of course, they're friends. Amandla didn't want anything more than that, or at least that's what she was trying to tell herself.

     After spending over a week in Atlanta, she knew that her feelings for Tom had changed. Zendaya and the other girls knew it; she knew it. Hell, she even admitted it! However, admitting her feelings did nothing if he only saw her as a friend and nothing more, nothing less.

     "Dude, I just stole a whole pizza from Tony's trailer and a box of Or—" the sound of the familiar feminine voice randomly went silent as the trailer door closed behind her. "Mands? Hey, are you okay?"

     Blinking, Amandla sat up and looked over at her best friend who was standing in front of her; a box of pizza in one hand and a container of Oreo's in the other. "What? Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," she nodded, clearing her throat.

     Zendaya tilted her head, giving her a look of complete disbelief. "Yeah... no, you're not. What happened?" she asked, placing the food on the table and sitting down next to the black-haired girl.

     "I got what I had coming," Amandla grumbled, reaching forward to open up the pizza box. A hand placed over hers', stopping her movement. Raising her eyes, the girl sighed at the look she was being given. "Tom friend-zoned me," she said, sliding her phone over to the girl next to her. Zendaya's mouth dropped open and her eyes skimmed over the text messages, annoyance, and anger swirling around in her stomach.

     "This dumb bitch," the actress mumbled.

     Amandla snorted softly. "For once I don't take insult to that," she admitted, shrugging lightly as she took a bite out of the slice of pizza she grabbed.

     "I wasn't talking about you—I was talking about Tom. God, why does he have to be so stupid?" Zendaya groaned, sliding the phone back over. The YouTuber raised a brow, giving the latter a questioning look. "Mands, it's so obvious that he likes you. He only said what he said because what you said caught him off-guard. He panicked!" Zendaya exclaimed, pointing to the phone lying between the two.

     "I didn't realize you could read Tom's thoughts," Amandla muttered, chewing.

     Rolling her eyes, the curly-haired girl shrugged, "I don't have to read his thoughts to know that he does like you. He just panicked."

     "I wish I believed you, but I don't."

     hey everyone!! i hope you all enjoyed the twenty-fourth chapter!

     so... both amandla and tom have friend-zoned each other now... well shit.

     in the next chapter, i will putting some manips i made of tom & amandla, so you can actually see them "together," in a sense. also, the next chapter is the chapter where amandla leaves to go home so things will begin to escalate a little bit. i'm so excited!
