❝ all right, so i've done my makeup and hair. now, in case you couldn't tell from the title, i am traveling to bali. i'm going with tom, sam, and harry. we're going to be there from friday to late sunday night. ❞ amandla pauses, placing her phone to the side. ❝ tom is doing some press for spider-man: far from home and he wanted the twins and i to come with. it's also his twenty-third birthday on saturday, and i have something pretty special planned that i'm super excited about.

❝ and no, i will not be saying what it is because tom is standing outside the bathroom right now as i speak, ❞ she laughs, looking away from the camera.

the sound of a door can be heard opening in the background and someone chuckles. ❝ dammit, i was trying to scare you. ❞ tom walks into the frame and wraps his arms around amandla from behind, kissing the top of her head.

❝ next time, tell sam not to text me saying you're here. ❞ she advises, showing him her phone. the actor groans. ❝ anyway... we're leaving for the airport in an hour, right? ❞

tom nods. ❝ yeah. i went ahead and brought your luggage downstairs. ❞

amandla smiles up at him. ❝ thank you, ❞ she hums softly, and he grins.

𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲⠀⠀𝟬:𝟱𝟮 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀

❝ i swear i didn't pack as much as it looks i did. harry needed somewhere to put more of his camera equipment and i volunteered to give half of my suitcase to him. also, i didn't film at the airport because it was extremely crowded and a lot of fans showed up. i don't think airport security was too happy with us. ❞ amandla laughs. ❝ the flight was fine. the boys all sort of crashed and passed out. i spent the majority of the time editing and going through emails. oh! and there's the clip of friday's sunrise! ❞

amandla looks to the camera, smiling. ❝ good morning everyone, we are finally in bali, ❞ she says, and someone cheers. ❝ you can't see them right now, but the twins are waving on the other side of the room. we flew in last night and went straight to the resort where we're staying. we ate dinner, had a few drinks, and fell asleep watching love island. then, this morning, i attempted to convince everyone to wake up early with me and go swimming— ❞

❝ and failed. ❞ harry interjects.

she rolls her eyes. ❝ i was able to persuade thomas, but bitch one and bitch two refused. ❞

❝ oi! ❞ sam shouts, and she sticks her tongue out at him in response.

❝ to be fair, tom only agreed because you promised to do nothing but cuddle tonight. ❞ harry points out.

amandla's face turns pink. ❝ not the point. ❞

❝ stay on my head, please. thank you! ❞ amandla sings, admiring the hat in the mirror. ❝ ah, i look so cute! ❞

❝ has anyone seen my hat? ❞ harry yells in the background, and the brown-haired girl's face drops.

❝ you mean mom's hat that you stole? ❞ sam retorts.

the sound of someone being slapped echoed and amandla spins around, whirling the camera to focus on harry and sam. the curly-haired twin had whacked him upside the head.

❝ shut the hell up, have you seen it or—amandla! ❞ harry shouts after he glances over.

❝ in my defense, i thought it was tom's! ❞ she defends quickly, and said actor walks into the room.

❝ what's mine? ❞ tom questions cluelessly, running his eyes over the group.

𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲⠀⠀𝟱:𝟰𝟯 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀

the sound of people screaming can be heard in the background and tom bounces on the tips of his toes.

❝ so, you're telling me you see him doing dorky shit like that and you still date him? ❞ harry asks from behind the camera. off to the side, his right hand is seen pointing at tom.

amandla shrugs, slightly jostling the camera. ❝ it's so cute. he's so cute, ❞ she sighs.

at her words, tom turns around. ❝ heard that. ❞ he smirks, leaning forward and quickly kissing her. ❝ i love you. ❞

❝ i love you. ❞ amandla immediately replies.

𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲⠀⠀𝟴:𝟬𝟭 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀

❝ this is my favorite part of the vlog/trip, honestly. all right! so! sam and i left the press junket early. he wasn't feeling the best so i took him back to the hotel. at least that's the story we sold to tom after an interview. we weren't supposed to return to the hotel until nearly midnight, which would be when saturday hit and it was tom's birthday. to celebrate when he got back, sam and i decorated the little hut-thing we were staying in and got his favorite cake.

❝ now, the footage playing right now is me admiring the sunset with sam sitting behind me on the chairs. we were waiting on the cake to arrive and enjoying the view. oh, and there's sam showing me a video on his phone.

❝ earlier, i mentioned that i had a birthday surprise for tom that i was really excited about. since i don't clarify in the vlog what exactly it was, i'm just gonna tell you now. this was something the twins and i did and planned together. for saturday, tom doesn't have anything scheduled to do until three, so we rented a boat, jet-skiis, and made an appointment with a scuba-diving instructor. i've been scuba-diving, but the holland's have not and i know it's something tom wanted to make time for while we were here.

❝ lastly, i made a reservation at the Bubu Seafood and Chinese Restaurant, which is close to where we're staying. since tom won't be done working until a little after eleven, i asked the manager of the restaurant if there was any possible way for us to have still have dinner there since they close at ten-forty-five. to my luck and surprise, she said that she would love to have us. it wasn't until after she asked for my name that things clicked, i guess, and she freaked out a little. it was adorable, truly.

❝ i invited harry and sam to dinner, but they respectfully declined the invitation. they wanted tom and i to "have a night to ourselves" since we wouldn't be able to spend any time tomorrow alone, which i thought was really sweet of them. okay, enough talking and playing clips of the sunset. let's get back to it. ❞

𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲⠀⠀𝟭𝟮:𝟮𝟲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀

the clip cuts and the camera slowly zooms in on amandla as she's drinking her water.

lowering the glass, amandla narrows her eyes. ❝ are you zooming in on me? ❞ she suddenly exclaims, placing the drink down.

❝ possibly... you look so pretty! ❞ tom says, laughing when she tries to grab the camera out of his hands. ❝ no, wait! stop! it's my birthday, let me film my beautiful girlfriend, ❞ he protests.

sinking back into her seat, the brown-haired girl huffs in defeat. ❝ can't believe you pulled the birthday card... i should have seen that coming, ❞ she mutters, reaching over to hold his free hand. ❝ since you're the youtuber in this relationship now, you want to tell the people at home what we're doing this morning? ❞

tom swivels the camera so it's facing both of them. ❝ i would if i knew, but no one's told me a damn thing. i'm starting to feel like you and the twins are marvel and sony when they hide scripts from me. ❞ he comments.

snorting, amandla covers her mouth to keep from laughing too loud. sam, on the other hand, bursts into laughter.

❝ you'll find out in like... thirty minutes bro. eat quickly. ❞ harry states from across the table.

rolling his eyes, the actor looks at his girlfriend. ❝ will you please tell me? ❞ he pouts.

❝ as much as i love you and that adorable pout, no. now, eat. ❞ amandla instructs, nodding to his plate. tom groans and turns off the camera.

❝ when i say i never want to leave bali... i mean it. ❞ amandla states firmly, leaning her head against the palm of her left hand. ❝ today has honestly been one of the best days ever and it isn't even noon yet. ❞

❝ good morning, whoever is watching this, ❞ tom greets, tilting the camera to the right so amandla fits into the frame. the two of them are sitting together on their bed. ❝ say good morning, mandy. ❞

❝ dude, this pancake is the size of my fucking head, ❞ amandla gasps, spreading butter onto the stack of chocolate pancakes in front of her.

tom chuckles. ❝ mandy, love. ❞

she pauses and looks up. ❝ what? ❞ she deadpans, scrunching her brows in confusion as he laughs.

❝ say good morning to everyone watching. ❞

❝ oh!! my bad. good morning/afternoon/or night beautiful people! ❞ amandla smiles.

reaching over, tom grabs a chocolate chip off the stack of pancakes and ducks as the brown-haired girl tries to hit him. ❝ sharing is caring! ❞ he insists, tearing off an edge of the pancake.

amandla narrows her stare as she watches him eat it. ❝ you're lucky you're cute because i'd tackle you for touching my food. ❞

❝ i mean... you can still tackle me. i wouldn't mind. ❞ tom smirks.

she rolls her eyes. ❝ oh, i know you wouldn't. it's why i won't, ❞ she responds, winking.

❝ what can i say? i like it when you're on top. ❞

❝ oi! this is a g-rated hut! we left the sexual shit in kingston! ❞ sam yells in the back.

the couple rolls their eyes. ❝ i think your usage of foul language contradicts what you just said, samuel. ❞ amandla calls back, shoving food into her mouth.

❝ says the one who curses in almost every sentence they say! ❞ the boy retorts.

❝ no, i fucking don't! ❞ she shouts, quickly covering her mouth as she realizes what she just said. her eyes widen.

everyone collapses into laughter.

❝ you were saying, ames? ❞ harry questions.

❝ after my last interview, we ditched my brothers and are currently on a bike ride before we leave for the airport, ❞ tom announces from behind the camera. ❝ mandy got a little carried away though if you can't tell. ❞

slowly, the video zooms in as amandla pedals straight into a sprinkler. squealing, she turns the bike and guides it back onto the road. ❝ maybe that wasn't a smart idea, ❞ she shouts. ❝ now i'm all wet! ❞

❝ that's what she said! ❞ the couple yells in unison, not a second later.

❝ ready to go, love? ❞ amandla asks softly. in response, tom pouts as he stares at the pool before smiling and chuckling gently as he looks at her. ❝ me either. ❞ while she twists the camera to face her, tom moves and comes up behind her. wrapping his arms around her, he snuggles his face into her neck. ❝ someone is very tired and in need of cuddles, clearly. ❞

❝ from you? always, ❞ he mumbles, closing his eyes.

amandla turns slightly and kisses the top of his head. ❝ and you will always have them, ❞ she whispers and then looks back at the camera. ❝ well, this vlog is at an end, people. i love each and every one of you to the moon and back times 6,000. see you soon. ❞

     when i tell you that fucking manip (for both the instagram post and youtube video) took me five hours... i mean it. photoshop was being a bitch, but nevertheless, they're finished and look decent.

     btw, the bali portion of the spider-man ffh press tour was EVERYTHING!!!! the fandom was really thriving and getting the best content we've ever gotten back then. all facts, no 🧢. (unless you count tom's interview &&& photoshoot with esquire that came out this week. when i tell you the hetero in me JUMPED OUT—lemme stop.)

     in other news... this was the second to last youtube video-based chapter in this book. the last one is in chapter 109, and i wrote it over a year ago and still love it with all my heart. i finished editing it for the last time two weeks ago and almost cried.
