detailed appearance | august is almost the embodiment of what a school president would look like. his dyed hair is the color of a sour blueberry lolipop that sweeps above blue raspberry colored eyes. Often, you will see him with silver, wire rimmed glasses when he's working or in class. His fashion sense revolves around cheap and functional which he claims to come from his frugal childhood, but he knows it's mainly just because he sees no difference between name-brand and knock offs.

Jeremiah Royal // father // a laid back surfer type of man who did his best to provide for his family while trying to be optimistic about everything around him. He wishes August and him were closer, but tries to respect the boundaries he made between them so as to not push his son further and further away.
Colin Royal // father // a soft hearted man with a gentle voice and kind eyes. He doesn't speak much, but he's very involved when it comes to anything August related. Because of his selective muteness, not many people would hire him so he and his husband decided it would be best for him to be the one who raised August at home. When August suddenly seemed to rely less and less on them, Colin put the blame on himself and his parenting abilities. The relationship between them is strained but he remains devoted to his only son.
Dr. Alice Wallaby // mentor and boss // a flirty, confident, and accomplished woman who has taken this veterinarian-to-be under her wing. She is very knowledgeable, if not a little unprofessional in mannerisms and boundaries at times. When she is zoned in on a patient, August finds her tutelage to be incomparable... her flirtatious habits outside the surgery rooms are a minor inconvenience though.

detailed personality | to be blunt, august is a very to the point kind of person. He's not judgemental or fond of brushing people off, but he knows what/who he wants or doesn't want to be around and isn't afraid of creating those boundaries. Due to growing up on the wrong side of the tracks, he knows that if boundaries aren't created from the get-go, most often than not people will try everything they can to take advantage of you. Now, growing up in such a poor neighborhood doesn't mean it was a BAD neighborhood, of course. In fact, it was the small community he lived in that taught him to generous when he could and help those who need it. Even if he doesn't think he needs you in his life, he would never hesitate to lend a helping hand. In this way, it's extremely difficult to create meaningful connections to him but also incredibly easy to take him for granted.

HISTORY ;;
The boy in the back of the class with dirty clothes and ripped shoes? Yeah, that was August. He grew up in a household that struggled to keep a roof over their heads and meals on the table despite how hard his parents tried to make things work. He could always see the guilt one parent had for not being able to help provide and then the exhaustion of the other parent for trying to keep everything afloat. As such, he tried his very best to be as little of a burden to his parents as possible even it meant giving up the things he liked. Soccer ball practice? He can do it on his own. Video games? He liked reading book from the library more. Pizza? Baked potatoes are better. In his eyes, he was helping out however he could, but to those around him, it seemed like he was pulling away and creating a distance between them. The neighborhood he grew up in wasn't the best, but thanks to everyone helping each other out when they could (considering how poor they were themselves), August started focusing more on school and being the best version of himself to help get everyone out of the bad situations they were in. An ambitious idea he chases after to this day, but one he's determined to make a reality even if he's never told anyone about it before. He hopes that if he can become one of the leading veterinarians in the country, then maybe he can get enough money to change the lives of those who changed his.

MISCELLANEOUS ;
- He grew up with an elderly dog that died when he was child. They couldn't afford to pay for the bills so when Filly-Girl passed, he vowed to never own another pet ever again
- Loves to play soccer and taught himself everything he knows about it
- Works out every morning at five am
- He has never kissed anyone before, not out of disinterest but simply because of how difficult it is for others to get close to him

This was the third time this week your pet needed and check-up... or at least the third time you scheduled them for a check up. Did they need it? No. But was there a reason why? Yes.

And that reason was now fixing his silver glasses back up his nose as he read over the clipboard in his hands. The blue haired man's expression scrunched up briefly, one of his eye brows raising in an expression of confusion as he no doubt reread what was written.

Your heart raced as he raised his head and scanned the people waiting patiently for their names to call, until his eyes met yours. He blinked in suprise and almost unconsciously tipped his head and he questioned, "again, y/n?"
