"I FUCKING HATE ASSASSINS." Lucifer spat as she wiped her mouth off the blood that had splattered over her face while entering the warehouse. "That makes this the fifth time this week." She spat while dropping the jacket in her hands onto the ground angrily.
"Again?" Scott asked with shock, having getting a call from her to let him know after every time someone had tried to assassinate her to warn him in case they tried to come for him also.
"Yeah, only this time these idiots tried to kidnap me before they tried to kill me." She said with a glare as she walked over to Derek who looked at her with worry. "I'm really starting to get pissed off with this running and hiding thing. I don't run and I don't hide. I don't want to do this anymore and I'm just about ready to do something about it." She turned to look at the true alpha.
The only reason she was running and hiding is because she respected Scott enough to do as he asked for the mean time while he gathered thoughts to make a plan to end it, and she didn't want to risk her life while not knowing the extent of her immortality anymore.
"So are we." She heard from the side as she turned to look to see a pack merging out from the shadows and behind the sheets of plastic that was hung around the warehouse.
Lucy recognised her almost instantly. "It's good to see you're still alive, Satomi." She said stiffly. Lucifer turned to Scott once more, "Are you sure they'll even be safe here?" She pointed at the pack.
"They won't be safe anywhere." Scott reminded her. "But they'll be safer here with all of us."
"Or it'll make us all like sitting ducks to people trying to kill us." The devil grit her teeth.
"Their pack may give us more numbers and they have claws and fangs but they're not fighters, Scott." Derek mentioned, knowing Satomi's teachings and her pack's moral code. Satomi's pack weren't killers, they were a peaceful pack raised on Buddhism by their alpha.
"But that's why I called you two." Scott said as the couple in front of him began to walk away.
"Well, try to remember that I don't have claws and fangs anymore either." Derek reminded the alpha.
"And that's why he called me." Braeden said with a smirk as she walked into the warehouse, shotgun in hand.
Kira shook her head. "Am I the only one that's still hoping that this is all just a false alarm?" She asked the group. "I mean, it's possible that we could wait here all night and nothing happens. Right?"
"Yeah, I seriously doubt that." The devil shook her head. "There's no way anyone wouldn't come and try. They'd hit the jackpot almost instantly."
Braeden looked at Scott. "Scott, have you heard anything from Stiles or Lydia yet?" She questioned.
"Lydia's still talking to Meredith. Stiles and Malia are headed to the lake house. They're trying to stop it." Scott explained they current situation.
Brett overheard his words and walked over to them. "What if there is no stopping it?" He asked the true alpha. "What if it doesn't end until we're all dead?"
The two packs looked at each other in silence wondering the same thing, would it only truly end until they were all dead? What then? How do we stop it?
Derek then had an idea that when he thought back onto a few nights prior when Lucy wanted to take the security guard's finger to send a message and to warn them to never try and harm them again.
"Then let's send a message." Derek spoke, catching everyone's attention. "Let's make tonight perfectly clear to anyone with a copy of that list. It doesn't matter if they're professional assassins, hunters, or an amateur who just picked up a gun." He said with a loud and clear voice as he held up the gun in his hand that he had been carrying on him as protection non stop since Braeden gave it to him. "Anyone who thinks they can hunt and kill us for money, is gonna be put on another list. Our list. They get to be a name on our dead pool."
Lucy smirked at her soulmate, seeing how alike they truly were. "Now you're talking, handsome."
The packs then decided to prepare themselves for what the night had in store for them, Lucy had managed to summon Sawyer and demand him to gather as many demons as possible who wanted to have some fun.
Maybe Derek didn't want her to do that, but she was angry — too angry to care — and she would much rather have him hate her because of her decisions than him be dead because of this stupid dead pool. Derek would have to get used for this side of her eventually if he wanted to be immortal and there was no better time than now to prepare him. "If they breathe; they fight." She ordered her second in command before turning a corner.
It didn't take long before groups of demons showed up to the warehouse itching to get their hands on something. Lucy didn't care if the assassins lived or died — they were assassins, they were sinners. They were going to get what they deserved.
The sun was setting when Lucy heard the cracking sound of something being opened before a rattling sound of a can hitting the ground. Braeden noticed it also as she saw the smoke bomb roll towards her. "Get back!" She ordered the packs who ran behind concrete walls and ducked for cover when the gunfire began.
Lucy dropped down and looked at Kira, "I hate to tell you 'I told you so'." She panted while ducking. "But I told you so." She said, turning her eyes black once she heard the gunfire get closed and closer towards them.
Chris peeked from around the corner and began to shoot back at the assassins, giving Lucy the opportunity to vanish from her spot and take some of them out, along with the rest of the demons with her giving the rest of the packs the signal that it was time to fight back.
Lucy roared as she took down the assassins one by one, dodging the bullets as they came flying past her in slow motion until she took down everyone she could who tried to kill her and Derek.
Scott was dodging the bullets as he ran towards Brett's silhouette, getting hit twice in the shoulder. "Tell everyone to go out back and hide!" He yelled at the beta werewolf who nodded and turned around to follow the order he was given. Scott then looked around noticing that he couldn't see Kira anywhere despite the bright lights flashing in his face from the gunfire. "Kira? Kira!" He yelled out.
Lucy looked up seeing an assassin pointing a gun towards a younger teenage girl from Satomi's pack, seeing his finger hovering over the trigger she jumped in front and grabbed the gun out his hands before he could do anything about it and smacked him in the face with it, knocking him to the ground before she got on top of him, snaking her arms around his neck.
She turned to look at the girl, "You don't want to see this, now run!" She warningly yelled, she watched as the girl ran behind some of the furniture to hide before quickly bringing the man's neck forcefully in the direction, snapping it, turning to the next one who was nearby.
She looked over at Scott making a face at how different he looked and how shocked he was as the assassin's phones then all began to vibrate and they began to pull back.
Scott grabbed the assassin's phone and looked at the message before turning the phone screen towards him, showing him the message.
THE BENEFACTOR: All contracts terminated.
Lucy smirked as she looked down at the assassin she was holding, his neck in her hands. "Game over, bitch." She snarled before crushing his throat and killing him, dropping him to the floor without a care in the world.
Satomi's pack waited until they believed that it was finally all over before they came out of their hiding spots. They looked around seeing the dead and unconscious bodies on the ground cautiously.
"Is it over?" Kira asked Scott, who had a small amount of blood on his face. "Really over?"
"It sure better be." Lucy said as she slowly walked over towards them. "I'm not wasting this good outfit for nothing." The pack's eyes widened in fear as she was completely drenched in blood.
Scott slowly nodded at his girlfriend. "I think it's over."
Derek and Lucy only looked at each other knowing it wasn't over for them — it had only just begun.

Later that night, Lucy and Derek were lying in bed, hoping that the comfy soft mattress would soothe them to sleep after the day that they had.
Derek was being the big spoon like usual and he opened his eyes to see the mark on Lucy's shoulder that was yet to heal from before hand when she claimed she was nicked in the shoulder by a blade. He frowned at it, not used to seeing her in pain or physically vulnerable and giving it a small kiss,
"Maybe I need to invest in one of those guns you and Braeden like to carry around." Lucifer spoke up softly, enough to make Derek flinch.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." He apologised, feeling guilty that he had woken her up by his action.
"It's okay, I was already awake." She turned her body to face her soulmate and looked up with a sympathetic smile. "How are you pulling up?" She asked him, but she was really asking how he was feeling about how she had acted in the warehouse.
The sight of her drenched in the assassins' blood flashed in Derek's mind as he blinked at her. "I'm handling it much better than I thought I would." Be answered her honestly.
There was a point in time that if he had saw what she had done months ago he would've ran and never looked back.
Derek had to remind himself that she wasn't Kate or Jennifer, she didn't kill because she felt like it and she liked the thought of death. She killed because she had to, her destiny was to give the sinner's of the world what they deserved.
Those assassins tried to kill innocent people because of their DNA — they got what they deserved.
And while Kate, Jennifer and Lucy had all killed before, he could tell that Lucy didn't kill for her own selfish gain or try to use him in some sort of ploy for power — and that's what made her different.
She cared about people, even when she said she didn't, she did everything she could to protect them from the sinners and the darkness of the world. She was still the angel she once was, she just worked in different ways that humans couldn't simply understand.
She was rude, sure, but that was because she had been treated badly by people for so long when all she wanted to do was help, even when it was in ways that didn't seem ethical, but she felt it was the only way.
Lucy made mistakes, but who didn't? Even the most perfect people did, she was no exception to that.
"What are you thinking about?" Her voice snapped him out of his train of thought.
"You." He answered with a smile, causing her to roll her eyes — but he saw that smile that she tried to hide when she turned over.
"Sure, Casanova." She remarked, causing him to laugh slightly and roll her back over so she was facing him again.
"You didn't like that one?" He asked. "I was sure that one would do the trick."
"To get me to do what?" She asked.
"To smile." He cheekily replied which made her slap his chest while cussing him out for being a pest causing his grin to widen.
While he did promise her that he would think about his decision more about whether he truly wanted to be immortal with her, he knew his mind was already made up. He wanted all of it.
He wanted the late nights, he wanted the fights, he wanted the love, he wanted the good side of her; and he wanted the bad. He just wanted her.
The moment was cut short when Derek noticed the happy look on her face drop to one of seriousness, she sat up in the bed and looked at him to stay where he was as she got up quietly, hearing footsteps walking towards the bedroom door.
Derek looked up as in a heap of black smoke, two demons appeared in front of the bed going to attack without a moment's hesitation — Derek not wasting any time moving out of the way as Lucy leaped over grabbing both of them and tanking them away before they could reach her boyfriend.
She threw them back as vanished from her spot, reappearing in front of one of them, hitting them directly in the face before sending a roundhouse kick to his head sending it to the ground, face down. before standing over it and grabbing it by the mouth and ripping it's jaw off, killing it.
Lucy looked up seeing Derek shooting bullets at the other while trying to get away and make distance between them. She growled at it before lunging once again and having it fight back just as hard as the other, getting its talons across her stomach and across her shoulder, ripping her shirt.
She punched it once before sending another punch upwards, making the demon go airborne slightly before she finally pinned it to the ground, shuffling into grabbing him into a headlock. "Submit!" She ordered while it struggled against and Derek aimed his gun at it once again. "I said: submit!"
The demon looked at her. "I'll never submit to him." It said to her darkly, a crazed look in it's black eyes as he once more tried to get to Derek to kill him.
The instinct to protect him kicked in once more. "Then you must be aware of the punishment for treason." She snarled. An attack on Derek was an attack on her — there was no way around that.
"I will do anything necessary for the crown." It snarled back at her and Lucy no longer cared for it's words, her talons reaching into it's chest and grabbing onto its heart, coldly looking at Derek as it choked on its blood in her arms.
The look may of seemed cold, but Derek could see the mixed emotions that flooded her blue eyes.
Rage, betrayal, pain... fear.
"Long live... the revolution—" It said before Lucy finally yanked the black heart out of its chest and dropping it to the ground — the room filled with a deadly silence but all Lucy could hear was the white noise that filled her ears as a way to distract her from what had just happened.
Derek looked at his soulmate as she was slumped on the ground, covered in black blood like the floor, looking helpless and exhausted — something he had never seen her look like — as she started at the dead bodies of the demons she had to kill to save him from yet again.
Lucifer looked up at him, but what shocked him the most was that there was not a single inch of regret on her face.
She did what she had to do to save him and she would do it all again in order to keep him safe — even if it meant destroying her kingdom and everything else she had ever built for herself.
She would do it all for him.
Derek lowered his gun and took a step towards her, going to help her up off of the ground and assist her while she cleaned the blood off of her for the second time that day when he heard the loft's alarm go off, their heads snapping towards it.
Lucy stood up, preparing for another attack on the both of them as they walked towards the front door, Lucy's talons out on display while Derek held his gun up behind her ready to shoot whatever came through that door.
The door slid open and it revealed Lydia who was completely drenched from the rain and was completely out of it — she had walked all the way there without knowing.
Before anyone could say anything, Lydia opened her mouth and let out a piercing scream.
All while staring directly at Derek.
The two covered their ears and flinched from how loud and severe it was, which only meant one thing to Lucy; Derek's death was closer than they thought.
Lydia screamed and screamed until Lucy finally looked up as she heard the severity dropping, the banshee losing its power and it's consciousness. She stepped and caught the strawberry blonde when she saw her eyes roll back into her head as she passed out.
Lucy could only look at Derek, fear evident in her eyes at what had just happened and what was going to happen.
She then looked down at her friend and brushed the hair out of her face, seeing her look completely peaceful compared to how she looked seconds prior and frowned. "We know, Lydia." She whispered sadly, they knew he was going to die soon, but her screamed only solidified the fact. "We know."
Long live the revolution.
