Lucifer awoke in the middle of the night from the sound of her phone vibrating against the bedside table. Her eyes peeled open and picked up the phone to see the time in the corner of her screen when she checked to who was calling her, pinching the bridge of her nose when she saw that Stiles was the one who had decided it was the perfect time to disturb her sleep. She should've known his lack of ability to sit still would bite her in the ass when he couldn't get himself to sleep while buzzing from wanting to solve something.
She pressed answer and placed the phone against her ear. "I know I'm immortal and all, but that doesn't mean I don't need sleep, it's 3am and I don't want to help you with your history homework." She said jokingly. When she only heard static on the other end, her eyebrows furrowed. "Stiles?" Her voice turned to worry once she heard the sound of ties nervously panting. "Stiles? Are you there?"
"LโLucy?" Stiles shakily whispered and Lucy sat straight up in the bed, completely wide awake and alert.
"Stiles, are you okay, what's wrong?" She shot out, half out of the bed to get dressed and go to wherever he was and fix the problem.
"Lucy, I don'tโI don't know where I am. I don't know how I got here." Stiles told her. "I think I was sleepwalking."
Panic sets through her. He could be anywhere and him panicking will only make things worse for him. She holds her hand up, "Stiles, I'm coming to get you, just tell me what you see and I'll figure it out, okay?" Lucy said to him, trying to stay calm and get the situation in control.
He let out a whimper and Lucy's eyes clenched, she hated hearing Stiles like this. "Ah, it's dark. It's hard to see." He explained to her. "I think there's something wrong with myโ" The line then cut out and the phone disconnected.
"No, no." Lucy said to herself and dialled the phone again and growling in frustration when she reached his voicemail. She tried once again, trying to control her breathing as she received his voicemail another three times before he finally called her back "Stiles?"
"Lucy, I don't think I can get out of here. I can't move." He told her.
"I'm coming to you, don't move." She said. "Now, what can you see? Even the tiniest thing can help."
"I don't know, it's too dark I can't see much and something's wrong with my leg. It's stuck on something and it'sโI think it's bleeding." He explained once again and Lucy bit back a growl. How the hell did this happen? How could the demon protecting Stiles let this happen?
"It'll be okay, Stiles, I'll heal it when I get to you."
She then heard him sniffle. "There's some kind of smell down here. Something smells terrible. It's brutal. My eyes are watering."
"Stiles, we'll talk about your hygiene issues when I get to you, but, just stay where you are and don't try to move, I'm coming to get you as we speak." She says walking out the door.
"Please, come find me." He whimpered. "And don't tell my dad, he already worries too much about me. Just please don't tell him. I know you can find me." He pleaded.
"It's okay, I promise, I'll get some demons and the pack to find you. You don't have to worry about your dad." She said to ease his mind.
"I gotta call you back. I have to turn the phone off." Stiles sniffled and Lucy's eyes widened.
"What? No!" She protested but it was no use when he hung up on her straight away and she growled in frustration. She wanted answers and she wanted to find Stiles, and the best way to start was to ask the demon that was supposed to be watching him.
Lucy closed her eyes and took a deep breath, biting back the snarls and growls she had built up from how angry she was with the situation and growled out in Latin, "Veni."
Within seconds, she felt the presence behind her. "You sent for me." She heard and her eyes turned into slits as she turned around and instantly pinned the demon against the tree.
"How could you let this happen?" She yelled at him, her eyes completely pitch black and her talons digging into the demon's neck. "I asked you to do one simple thing and you lost him!"
"It's just a simple human, your majesty, it's not that big of a deal." The demon struggled to say, his eyes filled with fear from failing his leader.
She snarled at his response and threw him across the woods, quickly catching him before he could hit the ground and pinning him down by his neck once again. "I think you forget who you're speaking to. I do not care who it is, if I ask you to do something, You. Fucking. Do. It. Do you understand me?" She roared at him, the ground vibrating from the booming volume.
"Your majesty, you'll kill him." She heard another voice from behind her.
"Good. He deserves to be punished." She told the other demon behind her, watching happily as the demon in front of her looked more fearful than before.
"I have ordered the others to send a search party for the boy." She informed her.
Lucifer quickly ripped the demon's head off before turning to Mara, the demon behind her and the second in command while she was away from Hell. "Good. I want Stiles found by the end of the night. I don't care what it takes, find him!" She said before storming off. "And clean that mess up!" She said pointing to the dead demon's body.
Lucy disappeared from in front of Mara and reappeared in Scott's room, slapping his arm. "Get up." She said sternly, the werewolf boy jolting awake.
"What's going on?" He questioned her.
"Get dressed, now." She ignored his question and turned around. "Isaac! Get up!" She yelled out. The other boy running into the room quickly feeling confused as to what was happening. "It's Stiles, get dressed, he's in trouble." She told them and they instantly got ready faster. As they were walking out the door to try and track Stiles, he called her. "Stiles?" Lucy answered it after the first ring.
"Are you coming? Please, tell me you're coming." He whimpered.
"I've got everyone I know and trust looking for you. I have Scott and Isaac with me now as well, okay? Can you figure out where you are? Or can you see anything to help us where to look?" She asked him and the werewolf boys behind her were bewildered at her kind and caring she was towards Stiles given her reputation.
"It's a basement." Stiles told her and she made a face wondering how the hell he got into a basement by sleepwalking. "I think... I think I'm in some kind of basement."
"In a house?" Scott asked, heading the conversation.
"No. It looks bigger. Like industrial." The human boy informed them. "I think there's a furnace. But it's cold. It's freezing down here. I gotta turn theโI gotta turn the phone off. It's going to die." He said and Lucy eyes widened again.
"No! Wait!" She yelled out in protest. "What else is there? What do you see?"
"The phone's dying, I can't talk." Stiles panted. His voice then dropped to a whisper. "I have to go. Please.."
"Stiles, why are you whispering?" Lucy asked, she knew it couldn't be because he was getting weaker and he was trying to conserve energy, he still had a few hours before that would happen.
"Because I think there's someone in here with me." He whispered back, hanging up the phone and Lucy instantly shot out of the house and disappeared to look for him with more intent in case that person in there with him was planning on harming him.
Scott and Isaac ran as fast as they could to Stiles' house to get a better scent to be able to find Stiles while Lucy did it her way. When they arrived then ran into the room out of breath, having to run the whole way and follow afterย scent. They then took a step back when they noticed the string everywhere.
"What are you guys doing here? Did Stiles call you too?" Scott then asked Lydia.
"No, I heard it." She answered.
"Don't ask." Aiden said to them when a look of confusion was plastered on their faces. "It gets more confusing when you ask."
"Not as confusing as this." Lydia points to the red string that was strung up all around the room. "He uses red for unsolved cases."
"Maybe he thinks he's part of an unsolved case?" Aiden suggested. "Or that he is an unsolved case."
"Is he still out there?" Lydia asked Scott and Isaac. "And do you know where he is?"
"He said he was in an industrial basement somewhere." Scott told the strawberry blonde.
"What else did he say?" Lydia asked.
"Something is wrong with his leg. It's bleeding and he's freezing." Scott answered.
"Tonight is the coldest night of the year, it's going to drop into the twenties." Aiden informed them. "Which is not good for a human who is just in his pyjamas." Of course, out of all nights that this had to happen, Stiles subconscious chooses that night.
"What did his dad say?" Lydia questioned quietly.
"We haven't told him yet." Scott rocked on his heels, knowing it was going to sound bad.
"Stiles is bleeding and freezing and you didn't call his dad?" Lydia asked in shock.
"He made Lucy promise not to tell him." Scott defended their decision. "Look, he's sleepwalking, he couldn't have gotten far, right?"
Lucy then appeared into the room. "I checked the school, the clinic and everywhere else Stiles hangs out and he's not there. His Jeep also isn't in the driveway and that's worrying if he's sleepwalking." She said to the group.
She then did a double take as she saw the state of the room. "Just don't ask." Aiden instantly said to her as an explanation when Lucy looked at them a certain way. "It gets more confusing when you ask."
Lydia pursed her lips and dug into her pocket to reach for her phone. She pulled it out and started dialling. "You promised not to call his dad. I didn't." She said.
"Wait. I can call for more help." Scott said. "I can get Derek, Allison..."
"Everyone except for the cops. Great idea!" The strawberry blonde interjected.
"You guys remember she gets these feelings when someone's about to die, right?" Aiden reminded them.
Scott looked conflicted, he knew of Lucy's promise to Stiles and didn't want to break it. "Call him." Lucy said, causing Scott to look shocked. She was going to break the promise? "Scott and Isaac, you guys go to the station if it makes it easier, it's only five minutes away. I'm going to go out and look for him again and pray that we find him before he freezes to death."
"You guys go, we'll catch up." Lydia said to them. "There is something here."
"Yeah, evidence of total insanity." Isaac pointed out and Lucy rolled her eyes and walked out again of the room again.

Noah Stilinski was shooting out orders left, right and centre as quickly as possible to the deputies so he could find his son as fast as possible. He then pulled Scott and Isaac aside. "Is there anything you two know that I can say in there?" He pointed to the room where the deputies were.
"Lydia knew he was missing." Scott told him.
"Can she help find him?" He asked the boy again.
"Well, she's working on it." Isaac answered.
"Anything else?" Noah asked.
"Lucy is also going out of her mind searching all of Beacon Hills along with half of Hell's demons looking for Stiles." Isaac told him again. It was shocking to see how much the devil cared about a human and how much she was willing to go out of her way to find him.
Noah was about to comment about how weird that sentence was and how strange the situation was with their friendship, but Parrish knocked on the door to let them know that they had found the Jeep.
They raced to the hospital to find his Jeep dead and no Stiles. Derek had noticed that he was there but he no longer was.
Lucy was out in the woods when she got the call that Lydia had found Stiles and she was by their side in an instant and out the front of Eichen House.
Sheriff Stilinski soon came and he ran over to them as they stood at the front gates. "I don't want to say this, but are you sure?" He asked her.
"No, he's here. I swear to God he's here." She said sternly. She then looked at Lucy. "No offence."
"None taken." She said back. "Let's go get Stiles." She said and opened the gates and stormed into the front reception.
"I need all access to all basement rooms in this facility." Stilinski said to the male nurse out the front.
"I can't give you that, I'm sorry, not without a warrant." The nurse said.
Lucy turned to Stilinski, "I'm sorry for this." She said to him and the nurse before grabbing him by his scrubs and slamming his head onto the desk, he instantly grabbed his head in pain. "The sheriff asked for access, so I suggest you give it." She said angrily to him.
The nurse nodded and handed them his keycards and the access codes and Stilinski nodded at Lucy in appreciation before they followed the directions down to the basement.
"Why didn't you just compel him to give it?" Scott asked her.
"Because if I have to heal Stiles, I need all my strength. I don't need to waste it with compulsion if I can get what I want through physical violence." She explained. "Plus... stress makes me violent." She shrugged as she followed after Lydia and Noah.
"It's here." Lydia says at the doors of the basement. "It's right here." Noah Stilinski kicked the doors open and turned the flashlight on and everyone ran into the room. "Stiles?" Lydia yelled out.
They looked around and within seconds they noticed he wasn't there. "Lydia?" Scott asked.
"I don't get it. This has to be it." She says.
"Then where is he, huh?" Stilinski asked. "Where is he?" He yelled out to no one and Lydia flinched. She felt it was her fault that he wasn't there and they had wasted their time.
Lydia's shoulder's slumped. "I don't understand." She whispered.
The group then sombrely began to leave the basement, and pray that there was another lead that they could follow.
Mara appeared into the basement, calling out to Lucy who was halfway up the staircase, grabbing her attention. "There is something you'd want to see." She said and Lucy followed her back down the steps and a few steps behind the wooden staircase she saw the backwards five carved into the wall.
"He's back, isn't he?" Mara asked her queen.
"I think so." Lucy answered. "Any news on Stiles?" She asked.
"We've found him." Mara nodded and told her where he was and Lucy instantly went to his location.
When she arrived at the location, she saw she was at the coyote den. She quickly covered her nose as she smelt the horrible smell that she now realised what Stiles was talking about on the phone and saw him huddled in the corner in a ball whimpering and groaning in his sleep as if he was having a nightmare.
She ran over to him and picked him up, pulling him out of there before her eyes could water from the stench and he began to thrash in her arms and yell out as he was still dreaming. "Stiles, wake up!" Lucy yelled at him.
"No! Wait!" Stiles screamed in his sleep.
"Stiles!" Lucy yelled and Stiles began to open his eyes but continued to scream. "Stiles, wake up! You're okay!"
"Wait!" Stiles yelled once more as Lucy pinned his arms down and hugged him close to her as he slowly but surely regaining consciousness and realising his surroundings.
"You're okay." Lucy repeated to him as she listened to his heartbeat race, barely being about to hear it over the sound of his loud and heavy panting. She only hugged him tighter to her to try and calm him down. "You're okay." She said, slowly rocking him.
Soon enough, Scott's parents came running over to them, sighing in relief when they saw Stiles okay and when Lucy explained what had happened, telling Melissa that she would explain the true story to her later when they had a moment alone at the hospital once they got him checked over.
