Lucy hasn't thrown a tantrum like this in centuries. She knows she looks ridiculous and childish with the way she's destroying the classroom in a fit of rage by throwing the furniture into different directions—but she's pissed. She hasn't had her neck properly snapped in thousands of years. It takes someone with powerful magic to render her unconscious that way, hence why the possessed human couldn't but Jennifer could. She was powerful from the sacrifices she had completed before confronting her. She's furious at herself that she let herself be beaten by the likes of Jennifer Blake and that she let Noah Stilinski be taken, she was even furious that Lydia got hurt.
Jennifer Blake was too powerful—too vengeful—and she needed to be put down before anyone else got hurt. Too many people were dying to feel her quest for revenge.
Scott brought up how Jennifer and Derek had a relationship. One that started because he had saved her from being mauled to death by Cora and Boyd in the boiler room of their high school the night of the full moon. Lucy knew that she needed to get to the older werewolf as soon as possible, knowing that Jennifer would most likely go straight to him for protection. She would try to manipulate Derek into believing her instead.
Lucy appeared back at the loft after she had finished her tantrum, not caring about the alarm and woke Derek up from his slumber, informing him that his girlfriend was the darach that was sacrificing innocent people all over Beacon Hills. She then told him that she was going to be the one to slit her throat the second she saw her again, and to start preparing her eulogy now since she wasn't going to have the luxury of breathing once she got what she wanted.
Like they had assumed, Jennifer came running into the loft minutes later looking for Derek. She called out to the werewolf and ran to him, pulling him into an embrace before pulling away.
"Something happened at the recital—at the school. Okay, I need to tell you before you hear it, before you hear any of it from them." She said placing a hand on his shoulders to try and use her touch as a way to distract him and make her story believable.
"From who?" Derek questioned her stiffly. He's trying to play clueless but he's not very good at it. He already knows where the conversation is headed.
"Scott, Stiles." She answered, she had never seen the girl that attacked her in the classroom, but she was strong and she got lucky that she was rendered dead, letting her get away. "They're gonna tell you things—things you can't believe. You have to trust me, okay? You trust me."
"What is it?" Derek asked her again.
"Promise you'll listen to me?" She begged.
Derek nodded. "I promise." He said and Jennifer kissed him, causing Lucy to roll her eyes as she watched in the shadows.
Jennifer pulled away, a dark look on her face. "They're already here, aren't they?" She asked. Lucy stepped out from the shadows with Scott and Stiles coming out from one of the rooms. Jennifer looked at Lucy in shock. "You're were dead."
"You're not that lucky, sweetheart." Lucy smirked, her head cocking to the side.
"So... they told you it was me?" Jennifer asked Derek. "That I'm the one taking people?"
"Actually, we told him you're the one killing people and that you snapped my neck before you kidnapped Noah Stilinski." She shrugged. "But say what you please to try and get yourself out of this."
"Oh, right. I'm the one committing human sacrifices? What, cutting their throats? Yeah, I probably do it on my lunch hour. That way I can get back to teaching high school english the rest of the day." Jennifer ranted with a laugh, trying to play innocent even though it's exactly what she's done. It's clear because she stumbles in her speech to give her excuses—innocent people don't do that, "That makes perfect sense."
A tear rolled down Stiles' cheek. "Where's my dad?" He questioned.
"How should I know?" Jennifer snapped. She then turned back at Derek. "Derek, tell me you don't believe this."
Derek looked at the two boys and then back at Jennifer. "Do you know what happened to Stiles' father?" He asked.
"No." She shook her head.
Lucy growled, grabbing her by the shirt and shoving her against one of the pillars. "I have had it with your lies, Julia!" She snarled. "Tell me why you almost killed Lydia and tell me what the fuck you've done with Stiles' dad or so help me God, you'll be suffering for all eternity in the deepest, darkest pits of Hell!" She said, slamming her once more against it.
"Lydia Martin?" Jennifer gasped, faking dumb again. "I don't know anything about that!"
"What do you know then?" Derek interrogated.
"I know that these three, for whatever misguided reason, are filling your head with an absurd story. And one they can't prove, by the way." Jennifer answered looking at Stiles and Scott.
"I was hoping you'd say that." Lucy smirked, grabbing Jennifer by the throat tightly and lifting her in the air. "You see, Julia, me being what I am, I see everyone for the monster they truly are inside, and lucky for you, I can show everyone what you are without even using a single grain of mistletoe." She growled, her eyes turning black, her talons growing and digging into Jennifer's neck, causing Jennifer to show her true form as the darach as she screeched and roared in pain. "There you are." She smirked and then threw her to the ground.
Jennifer stood up and tried to make a run for it but Derek stopped her by grabbing her by the neck. "Derek, wait! You need me." She said struggling against his hold.
"What are you?" He questioned her angrily.
"The only person who can save your sister." She answered. "Call Peter. Call him!" Derek looked at Lucy, his eyes asking if she could hold her while he called his uncle to ask about Cora, Lucy nodded, walking over towards Jennifer and putting her in a headlock.
"One wrong move and I'll snap your neck like a twig, but unlike me, you won't come back." Lucy threatened into Jennifer's ear.
Derek dialled his uncles number and asked what was happening to his sister. "It's not good. She's in and out of consciousness. She's vomiting up black blood along with one other alarming substance."
"Mistletoe." Derek realised.
"How did you know that?" Peter asked.
"Because unfortunately we're looking at the reason for it." Lucy growled, her grip tightening.
"Her life—it's in my hands!" Jennifer struggled to say, Lucy snarled once more at the statement, her eyes black, throwing Jennifer to the ground like a little rag doll, Derek grabbed her by the throat and pinned her against the wall despite Scott and Stiles' protests. "Stilinski, you'll never find him."
Stiles paused at what she said, his eyes flashed with hurt knowing that his dad might die. Derek's grip tightened around Jennifer's throat, Scott yelling out at him to get him to stop. Derek dropped his psychopathic darach girlfriend to the ground, she chuckled. "That's right, you need me." She smirked. She looked at them all. "All of you." She said.
Lucy walked over towards her, kicking her in the face, knocking her out momentarily. "Eh, I wouldn't go that far."
"Why would you do that?" Scott asked her.
"Don't tell me you feel bad—it's not like she doesn't deserve it." Lucy shrugged as she began to drag Jennifer's unconscious body to the car. "She's a slippery little thing and I'm not risking anything until she fixes Cora." She explained.
Lucy went with Derek in the car, knowing they would be the ones most likely to be able to stop Jennifer than Stiles and Scott would. Lucy dumped Jennifer's unconscious body in the backseat and sat in the passenger seat of Derek's car while they drive towards the hospital. It was then when Lucy began to realise how handsome he actually was, she knows she calls him handsome anyway, but he was striking.
He was also very upset that he had let another woman into his life that turned out to be murderous and psychopathic, all of which Lucy was—he would never go for her knowing his bad track record.
Minutes into the drive, Jennifer woke up. The two didn't speak to her or even acknowledge her, Lucy didn't want to because she knew if she looked at her she would want to claw her eyes out the second they made eye contact.
"You should know I'm not doing this because I have to." Jennifer said to Derek. "I'm doing it because I want to. I could still run, and you wouldn't have an easy time stopping me. But I don't want your sister to die. I'm only doing what I had to do."
"Shut up." Lucy and Derek said simultaneously, neither of them turning back to look at Jennifer.
"You need to head the whole story. You need to know just how connected we really are." Jennifer persisted.
"Stop talking." Derek said as they pulled up in front of the hospital. The rain was pouring heavily as the storm continued, the hospital was being evacuated at the same time.
"What is that?" Lucy pointed at the baseball bat in Stiles hands as she dragged Jennifer along with Derek.
"What? You got claws, I got a bat." He says as they walk into the front doors. The five walked around the corner of the hospital when they were stopped by Scott's mother, asking them what they were doing there since the hospital was evacuating.
"We're here for Cora." Scott said out of breath.
"What, all of you?" Melissa McCall questioned. "Why does Stiles have my bat?"
"Mom, just trust me on this. You need to get out of here." Scott said to his mother. "Right now."
Melissa looked worried for a few moments before she took in a deep breath. "The building is supposed to be clear in thirty minutes. We've got two ambulances that are coming back. One is ten minutes out, the other is twenty. Cora needs to be on one of those. They'll be picking up in the basement garage." She informed them and Scott nodded, the group walking towards the elevator.
Derek pressed the button for the floor that Cora was on just as Jennifer said, "You don't have to keep me on a leash, Derek. I'm going to help."
"Excuse me, if we don't trust you." Lucy rolled her eyes, Jennifer looked around the elevator seeing that Scott was glaring at her and Stiles was holding up his bat also. The elevator dinged and they began to walk along the halls, the electricity beginning to fault and the lights flickered.
They got to the room that Cora was supposed to be in, but only saw empty beds and a puddle of black blood and mistletoe on the floor. Scott noticed that the blood was trailing somewhere.
They then heard muffled grunting coming from one of the rooms and Peter came sliding through the double doors, groaning. He looked up at the group. "We got a problem." He informed them, he then sat up slightly. "Big problem." He said looking at the merged alpha twins who were in the other room.
Derek shifted as did Lucy as they ran at the alpha twins, tackling them to the ground. The twins got up and Lucy wrapped herself around their upper body and began to punch them in the head as Derek punched them in the stomach. Scott decided to join in also.
Stiles saw Cora's unconscious body and told Peter to help him get to her while the three supernatural creatures distracted the alpha twins. Leaving Jennifer all by herself.
"Ethan, Aiden, stop! You don't know what you're doing!" Scott yelled at them.
"All we want is her!" They yelled back. Their heads turned to Jennifer seeing that she was in the elevator, the doors closing in on her.
They then took Cora and began to run away. Derek yelling at them to keep running and don't stop. Stiles stopped and hid behind the door, Lucy calling out to him just as the alpha twins walked in the same room. Stiles came out from his hiding spot and swung his bat at their head, completely shattering the bat.
Scott had to find a way to think fast to slow them down, he looked up at the ceiling seeing the light and jumped up, pulling it off the ceiling and letting it hit the twins. The group then ran to another room, tensions were high as they tried to figure out how to make sure everyone survived the night.
Stiles and Derek began to argue when Jennifer walked back into the room claiming she was the only one able to save Cora and find Noah Stilinski, but she had a price for it. She wanted to be able to escape the hospital from the alpha pack who wanted her dead.
Derek growled and tried to run at her but Lucy grabbed him. "She was trying to get out!" He said struggling against her hold.
"I was trying to keep myself from getting killed, you can't blame me for that." Jennifer argued.
"If you want to show you're one of the good guys, then heal her." Stiles told her.
"Not until I'm safe." She shook her head.
"I'd like to volunteer a different method of persuasion. Let's torture her." Peter said. "Lucy, would you like to help?"
Lucy's eyes flashed black as she growled out. "Gladly."
"Works for me." Derek also agreed.
The P.A system suddenly squeaked and a voice boomed out of it. "Um, can I have your attention?" The nervous voice was coming from Melissa McCall. "Mr. Deucalion—excuse me, just Deucalion—requests you bring the woman calling herself Jennifer Blake to the E.R. reception. Do this, and everyone else can leave. You have ten minutes." The system then cut out.
Jennifer rolled her eyes. "He's not gonna hurt her." She said to Scott.
"Shut up." Derek pointed at her.
"He won't!" Jennifer said once more. "Scott, you know why. Tell them it's true."
"What does she mean?" Derek asked the beta werewolf.
Jennifer scoffed. "You're not the only one he wants in his pack. Deucalion doesn't just want an alpha pack. He wants perfection. That means adding the rarest of alphas to his ranks along with the devil herself."
"A true alpha." Peter realised.
"What's that?" Stiles asked.
"The kind that doesn't have to steal his power from another. One that can rise by the force of his own will." Peter smirked. "Our little Scott."
Scott shook his head. "It doesn't matter. We need to get her out of here."
"Scott, your mom—" Stiles began.
"My mom said there's one more ambulance coming in twenty minutes. And I don't think we've been here that long, so if we can get down to the garage, get to the last ambulance, we can get out of here." Scott strategised.
"The twins aren't gonna let us just walk out." Peter said.
"I'll distract them." Lucy volunteered.
"You mean fight them." Derek said to her.
She simply shrugged. "Whatever floats your boat, cupcake." She said.
Derek looked into her eyes deeply before nodding and sighing lightly. "I'll help you."
"Um, sorry, but I'm not going anywhere without you, Derek." Jennifer stated and Lucy rolled her eyes. Her and Derek could have made a good team against the alpha twins like they did earlier.
Peter then sighed. "I'll do it. But I'd prefer to be out there with an advantage." He said.
"An advantage like what? You mean like a weapon?" Stiles asked him.
"Something better than a baseball bat." He shrugged. The group than began to rummage through the draws to find something that could work.
"What about these?" Stiles holds up a set of defibrillators.
"Do you know how to use those?" Lucy asked him, smirking.
"Well, no." He said.
"Put them down." Derek ordered and Stiles scoffed putting them away.
Scott held up a large syringe, reading the label. "Epinephrine?" He read out.
Derek shook his head. "That's only going to make him stronger." He said.
Peter stopped what he was going and looked at them. "How strong?" He questioned, it would be the perfect advantage for him. Lucy grabbed the syringe off of Scott and stabbed it into Peter's shoulder, ejecting the clear liquid into his body.
Peter felt the effects right away and began to walk out the doors into the hallway with Lucy following behind. Aiden and Ethan were already waiting for them. "Alright, boys. Let's rumble." Peter's eyes flashed blue as the twins roared and charged at the two.
Lucy and Peter ran at them, holding back the urge to gag as they watched the twins merge once again. It took less than a few seconds for the three of them to fight each other, trying to knock each other out or slow them down as Stiles, Derek, Scott, Jennifer and Cora snuck out behind them.
Peter and Lucy then ran to another room to try and lead them further away from the group. Peter fell to the ground and slumped his body against the wall tiredly. "That shot didn't last very long." He said to himself as Lucy pulled him up and they began to run once more into another room, closing the door behind them. "Those twins are really starting to piss me off." He said.
"You and me both." Lucy responded as she looked out the glass window. "I don't know about you, but I'm getting tired of protecting you from getting the shit kicked out of you—I took these guys on myself. So how about we find a way out of here before I feed you to them myself?" She suggested and pointed at the laundry chute.
Peter rolled his eyes at her suggestion, he never thought that the devil would want to escape rather than fight, but he too, was also exhausted from fighting them, he figured she would be even more exhausted since she was the one who was doing all the hard work and trying to help him from dying at the same time.
He nodded and the two went down the laundry chute, Lucy held back from letting out a giggle as they slid down into the laundry cart and she landed onto Peter.
"You couldn't of waited like ten seconds?" Peter scoffed at her. Her phone then vibrated as she received a text from Scott. "They didn't get out did they?" Lucy shook her head and they got out of the cart and went to follow the text's instructions.
They went to the garage and went to the ambulance that held Cora, Scott and Stiles, Lucy put Peter's weak body into it and Scott told her that he needs to go back into the hospital so he can go get his mom, while Lucy needed to go get Derek and Jennifer.
"Two problems." Stiles told Lucy. "Kali's got the keys to this thing, and I just saw the twins, like, thirty seconds ago." Lucy nodded at the information and motioned for Scott to come with her.
"Stay here." Lucy told Stiles and she left to go inside with Scott.
Scott McCall and Lucifer walked the halls after they had found Melissa. Melissa explained that Deucalion had let her go as just a gesture of goodwill, but Lucy and Scott weren't so convinced that was the only reason he let her go.
Eventually they found Allison, Isaac and Chris Argent walking in the hospital and they began to plot how the hell they were going to get out of this situation.
The plan was to trick the alphas into believing that Jennifer was getting away when it was Allison distracting them and ambushing them.
Lucy and Scott ran towards the elevator where Derek would be only to find him unconscious and that Jennifer had escaped. "Mom." Scott gasped and ran to try and find her as Lucy tried to wake Derek up. Stiles ran throughout the halls after him to the roof only to watch Scott join forces with Deucalion to help find his mom and Stiles' dad.
Lucy woke Derek up not so gently. "Where is she?" Was the first thing he asked her when he regained consciousness. He was furious that she bested him.
"Jennifer? She's gone, along with Scott's mom." She informed him while helping him sit up.
"She took her?" He asked, alarmed.
"Yeah, and if that's not enough of a kick to the balls, Scott left with Deucalion, he traded himself in for us so we didn't have to." Lucy's nostrils flared at the thought. "So, we gotta get out of here. Now." She said pulling him up off of the ground and they ran to the car to go meet with Cora, Isaac, Allison and Peter while Stiles held off the cops.
