☄. *. ⋆ i. OUR WORLD IS CHANGING, HAS CHANGED. There are some among us gifted with abilities far beyond the ordinary, Michelle Duncan is one of them ━ well, not in the way the kids from the Umbrella Academy were. Before she was born, her mother was a world renowned tennis player, but after a knee injury, she lost her shot at a pro career. Ever since, she'd made her promise that if she couldn't be the star she was destined to, someone else would and when she had her daughter, that was her lucky shot, she was willing to risk it all on that one kid.

☄. *. ⋆ ii. THE PRESSURE CAUGHT UP AND ONE DAY SHE SLIPPED, getting a knee injury, this was her mother's tipping point. Michelle had been so close to being what her mother never could be and her mom gave up. Of course, she could coach someone else and continue the sport that had been the only thing she'd ever known how to do for years, but now she had nothing. Just as her mother had, history repeated itself ━ her mother couldn't bare to see it. Her mom started drinking and had given up on everything, in her words, "she's worked so hard for". She barely looks at Michelle anymore and just flat out stopped talking to her.

☄. *. ⋆ iii. HOWEVER, THAT WASN'T THE WORST OF IT. Now, with her mother ignoring her, she saw it as a positive, free to do whatever a regular teen would do ━ so of course, the day she chooses to have fun she'd get caught up in a crime scene at the MET. She had hidden in storage, surrounded by crates and meets Diego Hargreeves ━ or number two or the kraken. After covering for him while getting caught by his adoptive father, Reginald Hargreeves, Michelle gives him her number. The two start hanging out and it turned into something more, but of course, that ended too. Another thing Michelle Duncan screwed up.

☄. *. ⋆ iv. WITH NO TENNIS, NO FAMILY OR... anything for that matter, Michelle placed herself in her own personal bubble, her mixtape blasting out the sound of booming laughter and city noises around her. Although, when she gets a call from her old friend, inviting her to Reginald Hargreeve's funeral ( she found it weird too, being invited to a funeral of all things ), and to her surprise, she went. Well, to be fair, she didn't have anything else going on, so this would do. Plus, she'd finally actually get to meet the others besides seeing them after saving people on the streets or on the news.

☄. *. ⋆ v. IT WAS STRANGE SEEING DIEGO at the funeral, having not seen him in years and all. They'd try keeping in touch, but they just gave up and drifted apart. She got to meet Allison, Luther, Vanya and Klaus ( the one Diego warned her about ) and got to see the whole building without the worry of Reginald Hargreeves catching them. Like the time Diego snuck her up to the roof, building a blanket fort with lights. Luther had told him not to use the greenhouse since he and Allison had just been caught up there before, but obviously, that didn't work.

☄. *. ⋆ vi. BUT SOMETHING STRANGE HAPPENED, typical in that place. Flashes of blue lightning came from the sky, just outside the place where they would hold the funeral for Reginald Hargreeves. One of the siblings who had vanished in time, number Five flown out of portal forming in the sky, with the mind of a 58 year old, but forever stuck as thirteen. He seemed perfectly fine with after just falling from the sky and giving them a warning that the apocalypse was coming.

Expect the unexpected, that's what this family grew to learn.
