𝐃: How do you feel about winning? Did you think you would win?

𝐀: I didn't think I would win since it's been a while since I last made a graphic but I was really happy and excited when I found out I won!

𝐃: What inspired this design? What goes on behind the scenes to create it?

𝐀: The funny thing was, right before I applied for the contest, I happened to be listening to the song "Lovers in the Night" while scrolling through deviantart. The background that I used for my cover caught my eyes while scrolling and that's kinda how the design came together! Honestly, I think patience was a big part. the amount of times I restarted while making that cover is crazy but I think it was really worth it considering how the final product turned out! it was also a lot of try and error and playing around with things until it felt right

𝐃: Do you think you've grown or improved since you first started designing?

𝐀: Certainly! The graphics I made back then versus the one I have made now are very different. The skills, quality, and the final result all changed but it was one unsmooth journey. I had a lot of ups and downs in my three year experience but as long as you never give up and keep trying, those downs will eventually become ups!

𝐃: What are some tips when it comes to designing?

𝐀: I'm not super great with tips but hopefully these will be
helpful!
     1. When I first started, I was super impatient and upset with myself because nothing I did seemed right. What I found super helpful were videos and tutorials teaching you step by step on how to create graphics. you can take the knowledge you learned from the video into your graphic designing process and trust me, it makes everything super smoother!
     2. It's okay to use other people's graphics as inspiration as long as they allow it! Whenever I'm lacking inspiration, a lot of times I would look through other designers' graphics and inspiration will slowly start coming out!
     3. Play around with things! Obviously too much isn't good but its surprising how many new things you learn just by testing with new tools and playing around with the settings!

𝐃: Do you have any advice for beginner designers?

𝐀: Just trust yourself, never give up, and always ask for help when you need them! Don't be afraid to reach out to people for support :)
