JK'S POV

"Mr Jeon Jungkook, why did you opt for this software industry?"

The interviewer asked me. I gulped down a lump in my throat. I'm so gonna fuck up this interview. I took a deep breath before I rambled about whatever my brain could process out.

"That is because, after a great consideration and consultation, I came to the conclusion that this socialist illusion was a great botheration to the Korean nation whose basic occupation was services. But with further contemplation and deliberation, I discovered that without globalisation and exploration there cannot be optimisation to make Korea's transformation to a super power nation. So...?"

They seemed a little bit surprised to hear my answer.

Fuck this shit, I'm out.

"How about Seoul for your first posting, Mr. Jeon Jungkook?"

You know? I'm the happiest man alive in this world at the moment. My stupid grin gives out that anyway.

While being here in our hometown, we're desperate to go outside. But when outside, we're desperate to come back home.

Studying in Daegu, each weekend, I used to take the first train back to Busan. Being back in your hometown, it feels different. Beaches, hot springs and nature reserves of Busan is the best. And here I'm standing in front of my house in Busan where all my childhood memories rests.

"Jungkook-ah"

My dad greeted me with a big smile on his handsome face. He engulfed me in a fatherly hug before patting my head.
A gesture I liked him doing it.

"How was your journey?" He asked, taking the suitcase from me. "It was fine, dad" He smiled at me sweetly.

Ah.. I miss being home and I will miss dad! Something is always special in Busan.

"Where's mom?"

"Kook-ah, why can't you wash your clothes from Daegu?" Mom asked, seeing me doing the laundry.

"The water's different mom" I said. "We are from Busan, not from Daegu"

"You are still a homesick baby Kook-ah" She chuckled, making me smile brightly.

I will miss you mom!

"I hear the oceans from far way
Across the dreams, past the woods
I'm following this clarity
Take my hands now
You're the cause of my euphoria"

Humming a song, I laid down on the bed. Do I really need to go to Seoul? Should I leave Busan? My mind was clouding with these kinds of thoughts.

"Kook-ah, you are getting late" Mom called out. "Don't forget to pack all of your things. You can sing those songs for your wife in future"

I turned my head to the door only to see dad snickering at mom's words. I weakly smiled at him, before getting up to pack my bags.

He sighed before sitting next to me. "Your mother is pretty excited for you getting a job in Seoul" He started.

"Are you?" I couldn't help but ask him that. He hesitated for a moment. "I'm so proud of you Jungkook. But at the same time how can I not be sad knowing my only little boy is going away from home?"

"I'm not a little boy anymore dad" I chuckled quietly. He sighed deeply, running his hand through my hair gently. "Yeah, I know that now"

Kim Chaeyoung. My father's sister's daughter. She graduated in Australia. I still remember her speech during farewell day.

"Hi, I'm Kim Chaeyoung"

"Kim Chaeyoung, what is your ambition?"

"I wish to start my own company back in Korea"

"Who is your inspiration?"

"My parents. They are very supportive of all my dreams"

"Can you bring any changes in this world?"

"If you consider the total working labour in this world, 65% of which is women. But if you consider the total assets in the world, women does not make up even the 1%. That needs to change. And when I start my own company, I will give more jobs to women"

She was awarded as the best student back there and was the first rank holder. She acts like she conquered the world or something. But actually, she is an innocent, kind girl.

But the problem was that my aunt was a little bit weird. She wanted to go see a shaman once a month or she won't have a peace of mind.

"Did you see a handicapped man on the way here?" The shaman asked.

"Yes" Aunt Kim replied.

"It was a bad omen. I've said the same thing to my brother when he had a daughter. He educated her against my words. I warned him that something would happen. When she was studying in college, she fell in love with a boy who abused and then left her"

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Because your daughter also has this same fate"

"Is there no remedy for this curse?"

"Your daughter needs to get married in two months or else.."

Whatever the shaman had said, imo believed. And if imo believed them, my uncle had to believe it too. So, my dear cousin had no chance right?

So the chances of starting her own company vanished, but instead she was to marry a rich, handsome, 28 year old guy who owns his own company, Park Jimin.
