"You can stay in my room." You suggested to Livvie as you both walked into your room "The bed's too big anyway. I can place a pillow between us if you're uncomfortable."
"No, no. It's okay." Livvie reassured as she looked around your room. "I like your room. It has kind of an old-school vibe."
"Got inspired from the sitcoms I watched." You stated as you closed the door when you walked in. "It's simple, but I can feel like I'm in a sitcom or something."
"Oh, yeah." Livvie smiled. "You're the girl who loves sitcoms? Alex needed my help for finding a few CDs for you. Sweet gesture, if you ask me."
"Mind if I ask why he wants to look for DVDs about sitcoms just for me?"
"Well, he said he wanted to make it up to you for working for Darius. He also said sitcoms make you happy."
You smiled and felt yourself like a child who had received three candies for good behavior. "My sister influenced me with sitcoms and the second time Alex and I met, he saw me watching old shows. I'm just obsessed as my sister."
Livvie moved her head to the side in curiosity. "Nico?"
"Oh, no." You chuckled. "My first adoptive sister Wanda. Before Nico was my sibling, I was adopted by Wanda and Pietro Maximoff." You explained as you fixed your bed.
"I see." Livvie sat down on your bed and looked up at you with a nod. "So Nico is your second adoptive sister?"
"Mhm." You walked to your closet and gave Livvie a few clothes that you hadn't worn in a while. Livvie thanked you and turned around to dress up, while you kept quiet and stared out your window, allowing Livvie to don the clothes in private.
"So, are you and Alex a thing?" Livvie's unexpected question nearly caused you to choke on your own spit. "Sorry, I was just curious. I can see the way the two of you look at each other."
You shrugged and kept your eyes outside. "We, uh, are not a thing." You lied. You didn't want Livvie to find out before Nico. Livvie was not someone you despised. You just want Nico to find it out first. You intended to tell Nico earlier at the hotel, but you chose to wait because she was still upset and disturbed.
Livvie nodded and finally finished fixing herself up. "Secret relationship. Got it." She smiled. "Don't worry, I'm not telling anyone." She promised. You turned around and didn't pursue the topic any further, knowing that doing so would just confirm her suspicions and inquiries.
You wore the bunny hoodie Molly had given you before and went to the bed where Livvie was. Livvie grinned at you. "Cute." She complimented, causing you to smile in response. The both of you set a line of pillows between the two you before going to sleep. It was going well with your sleep for the following few minutes until you realized you were having another nightmare. You snapped your eyes open and turned to face Livvie, who was facing you with her back to you.
When you realized Livvie was still sleeping, you silently exited your room and pulled your hood over your head, not caring whether anyone could see the rabbit ears in your hood. You made your way downstairs on tiptoe and discovered Alex still up at his computer. When he took his gaze away from the screen, he noticed you approaching him. "Oh, hey..." He greeted you, curious as to why you were still awake. "Why are you still up?"
"I... had a nightmare and I didn't want Livvie to wake up..." You mumbled as you lowered your head and fiddled with your fingers nervously, your hood's bunny ears slightly covering the sides of your head. "Can I stay with you for a while...?"
Alex nodded. You silently entered his room and sat on his bed, staring at the floor while Alex went back to work. He stopped his typing to check on you and found you floating his pillow with your powers. When you noticed Alex watching, you dropped his pillow and rested your elbows on your knees, your face resting on your palms. "I got nothing to do, sorry."
"No, no, it's okay," Alex reassured. "At least you don't get exhausted on using your powers now."
You gave him a small smile. "I still do. I just got used to it. I don't want to faint every time I use my powers."
"Then I'll catch you if you faint."
You playfully rolled your eyes and chucked the pillow towards Alex using your powers. Alex chuckled as he caught the pillow. While you were looking at his computer, Alex laid the pillow on his lap. "What are you working at?" You asked in pure curiosity.
"I am trying to find out how to catch AWOL," Alex replied as he glanced at his computer screen. "But I doubt you'll want to know anyway."
"It's okay. It'll get my mind off the nightmare I had earlier."
"What was your nightmare about?"
You locked your gaze on Alex for a brief minute before returning your focus to your hands. "I..." You stammered. "I destroyed the world."
Alex raised his eyebrows in surprise. "That's the first time I've heard that being your nightmare."
"Yeah, because it's new." You sighed as you dropped your face on your palms. "It felt so real, Alex. I don't know what to do."
Alex exhaled deeply through his nose before standing up with the pillow and sitting down beside you, setting the pillow down on his other side. To comfort you, he wrapped his arm around your shoulders. "It's not real, (Y/n)." He soothed. "Don't worry."
In the end, you ended up sleeping with Alex in his room and to your relief, you didn't have any nightmares. When you feel safe, comfortable, and calm, your nightmares will reduce or end. And in Alex's arms, you feel more than safe and okay.

You and your friends entered a restaurant called Simply Blossom. Livvie had suggested to the team to visit the place to eat since she mentioned the restaurant is amazing. Plus, your friends love Caribbean food. From the moment you stepped foot in the place, you couldn't deny how the food smelled so good. Molly clung her arm around yours as she grinned in delight. You were quite surprised that Gert wasn't mad or jealous that Molly is mostly clingy around you.
"Oh, my God, it smells so good," Molly commented. "Great place, Livvie."
"Oh, it was Alex's choice, but thanks," Livvie replied while smiling. You glanced and gave a gentle smile to Alex, who stood behind you. "You did?" You asked.
Alex nodded as he looked around the place. "Yeah, it's apparently very popular here, so..."
"Can we sit anywhere?" Gert asked.
Livvie nodded. "Yeah, just grab a table."
When you and the group approached a table, you and Molly turned around when the door opened. Molly's eyes widened, and you furrowed your brows. You recognized the man who walked in, as well as the other men that followed him. "Those were the guys who grabbed me," Molly stated to the group, which caused your friends' heads to swivel to look at AWOL and his men."What are they doing here?"
You watched AWOL and his men strolling to the counter and talking to the cashier lady named Sharon, complaining and harassing her about serving his food quickly.
"Who knew dirty cops like to eat clean?" Gert scoffed as she glared at AWOL and his crew.
Chase spun around to look at Alex when he came to a realization. "Wilder." He sighed. "This is not a coincidence."
You and the others turned around to face Alex, and you crossed your arms while Nico glared at him. "You tricked us?" She questioned sternly while you raised your eyebrows in disbelief and disappointment.
"Okay, we're not here just for the food," Alex confessed.
"I told you they wouldn't like it," Livvie told Alex. You glanced at Livvie in surprise while Chase nodded. "No, we don't." Chase declared until his eyes blinked in confusion, so he turned to Livvie. "Like what, exactly?"
"Alex's small-fish-eats-big-fish plan," Livvie answered.
You looked back at Alex. "Oh, my God. You're still on about that?"
"AWOL is your idea of a small fish?" Karolina asked in bewilderment.
"Small fish can be deadly," Gert stated. "There's the puffer fish, which is small but very dangerous."
"Don't forget about stingrays," Karolina added as she shrugged. "They're vicious."
"Is every girl a frickin' marine biologist?" Alex asked as he looked at you and the other girls. You shrugged while tilting your head and squinting your eyes. "I'm surprised you didn't know about this since you're the smartest person in the group." You replied sarcastically.
Alex sighed. "Come on, don't do that."
"Do what?"
"The head tilt thing. Whenever you do that, you get angry and someone gets in trouble."
"And that someone will be you, Wilder."
"I got this, okay?" Alex reassured you and the rest of the group. He excused himself from the group to approach AWOL, while you and the rest stayed standing to watch Alex's interaction with the corrupt cops. "Hey, you got a minute?" You heard Alex ask for AWOL's attention.
"Should we do something?" Molly asked softly.
When you looked at AWOL and his men, you noticed that they had firearms in their gun carriers. You sighed. "If they tried to point their weapons at us, I could try to take their guns away from them. That is, assuming I don't freeze."
"You easily took down Darius when he kidnapped Alex, and you even told him not to use his gun against us again, remember?" Nico reminded as she continued to watch Alex and AWOL talking. "How will you be frozen in the first place?"
Livvie's eyebrows raised in shock. "I'm sorry, what? Darius kidnapped Alex?"
"Long story." You replied to Livvie before looking at Nico. "And warning Darius about using his gun? Nico, the gun wasn't in his hand anymore when I threatened him since he was trying to run away. This time, things will most likely be different. And I don't remember having good times with guns."
"Why?" Chase asked.
"My past. Trauma." You quickly gave Chase a short answer.
"What happened?" Livvie asked worriedly.
"Longer story." You answered once again. "This is not the time for storytelling."
"Yo!" You could hear him exclaim to his colleagues when Alex moved his food away to talk to him. "Did this kid just touch my curried goat?" AWOL asked one of his colleagues, Jay. "Looks like it." Jay nodded with a shrug.
AWOL nodded along as he stepped closer to Alex. "Yo, tell me that you did not just touch... my God. Damned. Curried. Goat!"
You slightly flinched but you kept your arms folded. "Didn't know his curried goat was such a big deal." You muttered.
"Didn't realize curried goat was such a big deal." You heard Alex remarked. Molly leaned closer to you. "You said the same thing."
"Shh." You hushed Molly.
"But I got an offer for you that's gonna make you forget all about lunch," Alex told AWOL.
AWOL was taken aback. "Oh, really?" He questioned. "And who the hell are you to be offering me anything?"
"I'm the guy that knows you framed Darius Davis for murder."
After hearing Alex's words, AWOL's expression instantly changed. His crew also shifted in their positions when they heard what Alex said. AWOL scoffed and leaned closer to Alex. "You just messed up." He whispered before pulling out his handgun and spinning around to confront the customers. "Drop the gate!" He commanded. "Everybody out. Now. We have a situation with fugitives who are armed and dangerous. Go!"
The customers, who were interrupted from eating their meal, immediately stood up and left the restaurant leaving the Runaways and the Strike Team. One of AWOL's men closed the gate and the door of the restaurant. AWOL pointed his pistol towards Alex, and then to you and the rest when he recognized your faces. "Y'all them hotel kids, huh?" He scoffed. "You shoulda bailed with everyone else." AWOL glanced at one of his men. "Mitch." He ordered.
Mitch took out his gun and pointed it at you and your friends, making you all startle and take a step back. "On your knees, hands behind your head," AWOL ordered. "Down!"
You all knelt on the ground with your hands raised. Chase glared at Alex. "Great plan, Wilder." He hissed.
