NAGI GOT WHATT

You stopped in front of the familiar door, mini suitcase in hand, as you prepared yourself to face the family you hadn't seen directly in a while

You let out a sigh before reaching your hand for the door handle, but before you could try and open it, it flew open, and with it a body collided with yours

"Y/N!" Your mom clutched you tightly, as if you'd disappear any second

"The brat's finally back" You heard the chuckling voice of your dad who stood at the doorway

"Hey mom, dad" you said with a soft voice, as you stood up holding your mom and small smile could be seen on your face

"So the devil can smile, huh?" You heard the voice of the person you had been most anxious of seeing

Your eyes glistened as you looked up at him from where you and your mom stood

He stood next to your dad with a proud smile on his face

"Welcome home, Y/N" Genji spoke with a gentle tone, and that was all it took for you to let go of your mom and run in his direction

"Genji!" You exclaimed as you tackled him to the ground and both his crutches fell to his sides

"Woah there, Y/N" he chuckled, putting one of his hands behind your head and caressing in an attempt to calm yourself down "I'm still injured, you know. Try not to tackle me like this"

"Oh yeah, sorry" you quickly got off your brother and helped him back up

"Glad to see the both of you still get along just as well as you've always been" your dad chuckled "but it kind of hurts to see you greet him like that when all I got was a 'hi dad'"

"You called me a brat the second the door opened, I don't want to hear you complaining about how I greet you" you deadpanned at your dads' words

"Excuse m—" "Alright, now!" Your mom clapped her hands loudly to get all of your attention

"How about we move to dinner table to talk" she gave a closed that was more menacing than welcoming "Wouldn't want to run out of things to talk about while eating, right?"

"Yes mom/ma'am" you all responded obediently and made your way to the dining table

"Tonight, it's going to be a Y/N special!" your mom smiled when you all sat at the table "This is for her her safe return, and great play at the U-20 match"

Your mom had prepared a table filled with all of your favourite dishes

"Aww man, nobody but her likes this food" your dad whined like a child

"Well, honey, it's cause if it was all made for her, like I just said" your mom gave him an irked smile "how about trying to act your age, and eat what you're given"

"Alright" your dad sulked as he began eating

"So, Y/N" Genji called out to you, gaining your attention "How was the program?"

This caught the attention of both your parents as they all turned their attention to you

"To be honest" you looked down at your plate "It was the most fun I've had in a while"

You began telling them the detail about all that had happened from the first selection all the way to the U-20 game

As they listened to what you were saying, a similar thought came to their minds

'I can't remember the last time I've seen her talk about soccer like this' they all smiled

When you realized how they were looking at you, you paused on your story

"Are you all... alright?" You asked, unsure of what they were thinking

"It's nothing" Genji reassured you with a smile "it's just been a while since you've last been this passionate about soccer"

"Really?" You asked, staring at him

Maybe you hadn't realized, but ever since that incident with your teammates last year and you locking yourself away, you had lost a big part of yourself along the way

But that's all in the past

"Any plans for your break?" Your mom asked enthusiastically

"I do, actually" you responded "tomorrow in fact"

"Huh, so soon?!" Your dad exclaimed

"Yeah" you nodded "my friends from Blue Lock wanted to meet up at least once before we all started doing our own personal things"

"You're going to hangout with a bunch of guys?!" Your dad screamed even louder "absolutely not! I forbid you from leaving this house—" your mom smacked him in the head

"Don't listen to him, you can go out all you want, with whoever you want" your mom had her arm around your dads' neck as she held him down. It was her special way of shutting him up

"Can I come with you?" Genji asked as he put his utensils down

"I was actually about to ask you to come" you turned to him "you know how you all indirectly met them after the game when mom was taking our pictures"

The nodded in response

"They asked if I could bring you with me, I don't know why though" you shrugged

"you coming could also help calm this idiot down" you pointed at your dad who was still being held captive by your mom

"Great!" He smiled at you "What time are we leaving?"

"I actually don't know, I'll text them and ask" you let out a yawn

"Looks like sleep has finally got you" your mom chuckled "you kids go to sleep, we'll handle cleaning the table"

"Hey, I never said I w—" "Good night kids!"

"Night mom" you left the dining room with your brother as you took your suitcase up the stairs and finally entered your room

It looked exactly like you had left it, clean and simple

You put your stuff away, took a shower and finally headed to bed

Today had been a long day

And everything that had come before it was unreal

All the way from Genji's injury, to joining Blue Lock, to playing for the country's national team

None of it felt real

And yet it was

It felt like yesterday when you decided to lock a big part of yourself up, and now you were back

As much as you loved the idea of having a two week break and seeing your family, you were impatiently waiting for this break to be over

To be back at Blue Lock

Where you felt most free
