Idiotic men thinking they're better than others cause of their position

And that overconfidence had brought them down once they realized who they had been playing against

And that's exactly what they did

You won't lie, Blue Lock started roughly as they tried to understand and adjust to the U-20's play style

But once they did, they had completely dominated the first half with a score of 2-1 for them

As the U-20 team entered the locker room, they all had a gloomy aura surrounding them

"I'm sorry you guys, if only I had score..." Sendou said as he clutched his head "If only I'd —"

"Good timing genius" Kazuma interrupted as he spoke to Sae who had just walked in "We were just about to talk about how to amend our strategy for the second half"

"I don't care" Sae replied in a bored manner "Do whatever you want"

"Huh?! But you're a part of the team, we have to discuss strategy together!" The male let out a confused noise

"I'm leaving" Sae put moisturizer on his face

"Huh?! What the fuck!" Kazuma shout in anger

"How are we supposed to win without you here?" Hayate questioned

"Beats me" he shrugged as he continued packing his bag "ask that captain of yours for help, I'm out of here"

"Wait, genius boy" Aiku called out to the male as he looked down at the floor "Sorry for the selfish bet I made guys." The male looked down with a defeated smile "I wanted to test us, I wanted to see how capable we were. We're weak"

"Good, you finally realized that" Sae reply in a monotone voice as he put his bag over his shoulder "But too little too late, I'm leaving "

"We still have a chance though" the male looked up with a fired up expression "we still have those demons you brought with you from the pits of hell"

"Use number 12 and 13" he pointed in your direction "send in L/N Y/N and Shidou Ryusei"

"Heya genius" Shidou smirked up at the male he tied his shoes as you stood up and stretched your limbs with a sigh "heard you wanted to leave, are we not enough of a reason for you to stay?"

Sae smirked and picked up his jersey from his bag before turning to face the two of you

"Go wild my little demons" he displayed an intense aura "We'll be the headliners of this game"

"Yeah... don't ever call me that again" you cringed at the name he had called you and Shidou

The second half is about to kick off!

Shidou stood in the center, next to you, while breathing the fresh air in

"What's that?" He turned to the side with wide eyes "You seemed to be going crazy out there, huh, under-lashes Junior" he walked over to the male "But that's about where your explosion goes"

"Let's see who's number one, Rinrin" the male got into Rin's personal space as his face was close to the other male

"Alright, stop provoking" you grabbed the blonde by his shoulder and pulled him back

They had swapped out Kitsunezato and Izuki to swap both you and Shidou in

you let Shidou take the position of forward as you went to the right wing

The second half began with a pass from Sae to Shidou and then back to Sae

Shidou rushed past the Blue Lock players in a zigzag manner "Pulsing! Throbbing!" Shidou dashed past all Blue Lock players while you exchanged passes with Sae to keep the ball in possession before he made a long pass to Shidou

As Chigiri went over to block Shidou path, the blonde smirked before passing to his right where you had placed yourself

The two of you passed back and fourth, marching into Blue Locks defences with fast and precise passes

You then passed the ball to Sae who analyzed the field and launched a long range pass to the left side of the goal

Shidou jumped up and attempted to shoot the ball in, but was blocked by none other than Niko Ikki

The referees whistle rang as he gave Niko a yellow card

Free kick point!

Shidou placed the ball at his and Sae's feet and they spoke as you and the rest of the U-20 team placed yourselves around the goal

"Didn't think you'd lower yourself to assists, Y/N" Karasu smirked at you

"What does it matter to you?" You scoffed at him "That means less of a challenge for your team, doesn't it?"

The male's eyes slightly widen before going back to normal as he chuckled at you "You're not not playing forward because you'd prefer us to win?" He gave you a side glance "Do you believe if you just let us win, you can go back to Blue Lock and continue about your way?"

"Don't put words into my mouth, I didn't say that" you looked away from him

"You didn't say it but your expression tells me you do" he leaned down as to get a better look at yourself "Do you think after loosing pathetically like this you'd be able to just come back and forget about how you chickened out during the fight? Cause I sure as hell wouldn't"

You looked at the man and scoffed, ignoring his words

You just thought that Sae and Shidou were more than enough for the U-20 to win

Shidou ran past the ball and Sae positioned himself to kick the ball

He launched the ball in an unspeakably fast manner as it went into Shidou's possession

Chigiri who had predicted the outcome had placed his himself in front of the blonde to block his path to a shot

Shidou tapped the ball into the air, tricking Chigiri as he proceeded to kick the ball into the net, scoring a goal for the U-20

'This is exactly what I meant' you sigh as you walked back to your side of the field 'They're just fine without me, and even if they did need me, I don't really want Blue Lock to shut down' you looked down at the grass before your eyes widened at your own thoughts

You weren't trying caused you'd prefer Blue Lock to win? What kind of none sense were you thinking!

But then it came to you

If you were being honest to yourself, you really did want Blue Lock to win

"Eh" was all the prodigy responded with but then his eyes trailed over you who had walked past them and headed over to take position

His eyes lingered on your form and a sigh erupted from his mouth

Ever since the second half had started, you had been playing in a way that completely disregarded the teachings you had received at Blue Lock

A striker assisting and passing? What the hell were you doing

As of right now, you were at a mediocre level. Even that useless Sendou guy could do better than you currently were

"Hey, Y/N" he called out and you stopped in your tracks before your turning to him

"You're swapping with Shidou next, it's your turn to be used" he declared

"Ehh!! But I barely even got to play!" Shidou wined like a child

"You got your goal, I want to try something with her now" he ignored the male as he kept his eyes locked on yours

"Whatever" you continued your way back

The game restarted as Rin passed to Isagi

Isagi passed the ball to Hiori who passed the ball to Karasu

Karasu then held onto the ball long enough to help Hiori get past the defenders

He passed the ball back the baby blue-haired male who then made a shocking recreation of Sae's earlier pass which was a high speed curving pass that was aimed at Nagi

The white haired male's way was blocked by Kazuma but he simply resort to passing it over to Rin who was on his right

Aiku blocked Rin's path but the male held the ball long enough for Isagi to come pick it up

But that was in vain since Aiku had proceeded to just block Isagi as well

"Watch out for the counter!" Isagi shouted

Hayate who had received the loose ball passed it to Itoshi Sae who ran with you at his right and Shidou at his left

Sae held the ball long enough for you to reach the goal as he passed it over your head

As you shot the ball at the net, you were blocked by none other than Reo who had recreated Aiku's beginning defending method

You stood frozen as you stared at the purple-haired male

You gulped the saliva that was in your mouth as you turned around to walk away from the male but you tumbled over when someone me shoulder collided with yours

You looked back with wide eyes as you saw Karasu high-fiving Reo

He then turned around and locked his gaze onto yours

"If that was enough to make you freeze up like that, then you've really become pathetic" he looked down at you menacingly

What the hell were you doing?!

Why were you playing this way?!

Why were you still holding back?!

Was it because you knew Blue Lock stood no chance against the U-20?

Or was it because you preferred to return to Blue Lock rather than go back to the boring soccer you player before?

"Hey, Y/N" the voice of Itoshi Sae rang in your ears "What the hell are you doing?" He scowled at you "That lukewarm way you've been playing since we started, I don't want anymore of it"

"I chose you, because you have potential for greatness" he looked down at you with cold eyes "You're playing just as bad as these U-20 fools so you better get your act together"

What the hell had you been doing?

This wasn't your way of doing things!

You'd never throw a game for personal reasons, hell you'd rather play through an injury rather than let your team lose!
