"what the hell..."

reo had just woken up and the first thing he was greeted with was shidou on the floor with his stomach facing down and you sitting on his back pulling his left arm up while pushing his head into the floor, deeper than it already was with your right hand

"weren't you amused enough by what you did last time" you spoke with an irritated tone "If you're going to do this every day then I'll have to tape you to your bed and you'll only get up once I am awake to remove the tape"

shidou had once again attempted to wake you up in one of his friendly ways

he had attempted to elbow-drop you

luckily, the time spent with the male had raised your senses of danger so once you felt like something was wrong, you immediately woke up and were able to dodge the blonde

if you were any seconds late, you would've woken up to a nice elbow pierced into your stomach

'he was actually about to kill me...' sweat dripped down your face while the scowl on your face remained 'only two more stages and I won't have to deal with this psycho anymore'

you sigh before getting off the male, your feet feeling the cold of the ground

pulling your phone out of your pocket, you looked at the time on your lock screen

9:04 am...

you weren't one to usually wake up early but there was nothing you could do about it now that you were already awake

as you were still looking at your phone, a leg made contact with both of yours causing you to tumble forward, onto the ground

though you didn't necessarily land on the ground, but rather on someone else's body

"Well, that backfired..." shidou grunted out

"you bastard, what the hell is wrong with you!" you shout to the male attempting to get back up by pushing off his chest

shidou simply looked up, a smirk present on his face

"Now that I get a better view, you look hot"

...

you looked down and finally noticed the position the both of you were in

shidou laid on his back looking up at you teasingly while you were...

straddling him

'how the hell...' your face went pale

you froze at the embarrassing position you were put in while reo who was sitting on the bottom bunk of his shared bed stared at the seen blankly

shidou opened his mouth to say something before he was cut off by reo who pulled you up by your hands

"alright Y/N, let's go get breakfast together!" he spoke energetically as he dragged you out of the room not bothering to wait for shidou who was just getting back up from the floor

he looked down at you and snorted at your still-in-shock expression

you then turned your head abruptly toward the regal male

he could almost see tears in your eyes

"you genuinely don't know how much I appreciate you for saving me back there" your voice sternly spoke

if reo hadn't intervened, shidou would've probably said something that would've embarrassed you even more than you already were and from that point on, shidou would have the idea that you were attracted to him

not that he wasn't attractive but like you're not attracted to that parasite

"HEY GUYS, WAIT FOR ME!" shidou's voice could be heard from across the corridor

"yeah, no" you grabbed onto reo's hand and began running toward the cafeteria

that's about enough shidou for the morning

after eating your breakfast, you each took a shower before meeting back in your dorm so you could head out and find a team to play

you had gotten reo to 'babysit' shidou while you took a bath so he wouldn't run out to threaten people once more

it was less likely that you would be able to meet someone like reo and kunigami that'd be willing to play your team even after the violent display of your teammate

so you had to make sure to keep an eye out of shidou

the walk to the central room was short

when you got to the place, unsurprisingly, it wasn't as full as the first time you had came

people were mostly discussing between themselves and the little words you heard from their conversations made you question whether they were alright or not

"Isn't it fresh today!" were indoors.

"wonder what awaits us today!" the usual blue lock torture

"we should go out and get something later" they do remember we're locked up, right?

I think blue lock is starting to have an impact on their sanity

ignoring them, you were still looking for someone to play so you could move stages faster

that was until a pink-haired male with a braid going down his left side caught your eye

I mean, not many people had pink hair

in your case, you hadn't seen many

walking away from your teammate, you walked toward the male with his group

he was shorter than you so you needed to slightly tilt your head down to look at him

"excuse me" your voice made its way into their ears making them aware of your presence before turning to face you "I'd like to know if you guys would be willing to play us"

the pinkette looked you up and down before responding with a simple "alright" showing off his sharp tooth

'thank the lord we don't need to go through a complicated way to find opponents' you sigh in relief before turning to reo and shidou who were already looking at you

you motioned for the two to come over so you could go confirm the match and start

"alright, that was faster than usual!" shidou cheered loudly

"that's because this time, you didn't go wild like usually" you gave the man a look as he turned his gaze away from yours "either way, thank you reo for supervising him"

"anytime" the male gave you a thumbs up with a smile

"YOU'RE ACTING AS IF I'M A CHILD WHO NEEDS A BABYSITTER!"

"you are and you do" you didn't bother turning to the loud male

"remember who's the older, show some respect!" the male seemed to be trying to prove a point

"no" both reo and you answered blankly before the male started shouting once more

the team in front of you sweatdropped at the interaction

your group seemed to be chaotic

too chaotic in fact

that fueled their need to win since none of them wanted to be the chosen one who'd have to endure being with them 24/7

as you got to the field, you had a few minutes to stretch and maybe strategize before starting

"I can play the role of passer" reo raised his right arm before focusing on typing his shoelaces properly

"just pass the ball to me and I'll give you a flashy goal!" shidou winked at the regal making a thumbs-up motion with his hand

"let's just finish quickly so we can move on to the next stage, please" you sigh, putting a hand on your forehead

"If we finish fast enough then maybe we'll have time to play another match after this" reo pointed out "It's still the so if we get there at like 3 or something there'll definitely still be people looking to play"

"sounds good to me" shidou stretched his back "I just want to play"

"alright then, who are you guys covering" you turned to the other team

"I'll take the tall guy, I think his name was Sokura" shidou replied

"I got the ginger" reo stood up from the floor

"guess I'll take pinky pie then"

"all players please position yourselves so we may proceed with the match" spoke the automatic referee

reo stood in the center with the ball under his foot while shidou was at his left and you were on his right

whistle

the sound of the whistle initiated the start of the match as reo passed the ball to shidou who dashed forward at full speed

the tall male seemed to be struggling to chase after him which was an already bad start for their team

that's when a flash of pink ran past you in their direction

Kurona Ranze

"the small ones are always the fastest" you muttered to yourself "but that's a careless move"

he had left you wide open by going to help his teammate

as he was catching up to the two, you made your way rapidly toward the net

shidou caught your eye and as if a miracle had happened, he decided to make a rational choice

he waited till kurona had reached him since he was at the far end of the left side until he made a pass to the other side where you were stationed

we know how that ended

1-0 for team white

kurona looked a bit startled but quickly brushed it away

even if he was a speedy one if he wanted to win, he'd have to think before rushing in

that goal had sent a clear reminder to him so that he'd never make this kind of mistake again

resetting back to your position, the ball was now in team red's possession

kurona began with passing the ball to his ginger teammate

"clean and direct" you spoke to yourself "so speed and passing, wonder if he has anything else"

kurona who was not too far from the girl was shocked at what he had heard but decided to hide his shaken state

they had barely started the game and yet this girl had already figured out his weapons

he made himself a mental note to watch out for the observant individual

he moved up the field toward the other team's net but you weren't following him

this caused him to slow down in discomfort of the situation

you were up to something and he was not having it

that's when his ginger-haired teammate who seemed to be troubled with reo's pressuring finally decided to pass

his pass was forwarded to kurona who had been the one most open, but due to his distance the pass was unfortunately too short

"nice one reo" you caught the ball and dashed away

kurona made his way back towards your figure and due to the ball making you slow down for you to control it and Kurona's speed, he was able to catch up to you

you continued your way on as he was starting to push you to the corner left side of their field, coming in between you and the net

the male kept pressuring you further back before you came to a stop at the end of the penalty area but too close to the end line for your comfort

kurona slowly advanced on you, he took time to observe your every move so he himself wouldn't make a mistake that'd grant you the opportunity to get away

as he neared you even more, you began taking slow steps toward the male before kicking the ball in between his feet to the left and bringing it back by dragging your foot on top of the ball to the right

you then rushed past him to catch the ball back before running in the direction of the net

at that point on, there was no stopping you

BAM, your foot made direct contact with the ball and went straight into the net

whistle

2-0 for team white

when you said you wanted to rush this match and finish it fast, you were serious

"hey N/N, I wanna score the next one!" shidou shout to you as he got to where you stood

"whatever, as long as you score, do whatever you want" you responded

the other team stared in shock as the team got back to their side unbothered

to them, they were just another team that they'd quickly scatter as soon as they had reached their objectives

they wanted to prove them wrong at that moment, that they were worth playing

but looking at themselves and their level compared

there was no chance for them to success

back in their positions once more, team red started off again with kurona as the passer

but surprisingly, he completely discarded his role as the passer of the team and instead dribble the ball himself starting up the game once more

he attempted to rush past you but even with his speed, the ball will always manage to slow the holder down

even if you weren't able to get in front of him, you got to his side and began pushing him to the side as if not to let him enter the penalty area

as he got further, he seemed to be speeding up

or were you just slowing down?

either way, you sped up as well since you had finally reached the penalty area and actually managed to catch up to him

as he attempted to shoot his shot, you rose your leg up to block his shot but instead of shooting, he brought his leg back and kicked the ball to the side, faking his shot

he then got in front of the net and went for the shot

that was until a S/C leg sprung up and blocked his shot

"nice fake, but slow preparation" you smirked down at the male "If you had been faster you probably would have gotten it in, too bad"

the ball was caught by reo who made a long pass over to shidou who was stationed a bit further from the halfway-line

Sokura chased after shidou while the ginger bowl head ran to assist him

too bad for them, if they couldn't stop shidou before he got to the PA, then they couldn't stop him at all

there really was no hope for them

kurona had gone all out but if his teammates didn't cooperate then there was nothing he could do and they'd most definitely lose the game

losing didn't sound too bad actually

if he were to get chosen then maybe he could learn from Y/N and improve his skills

then again if they lost and he wasn't chosen, then with the time that had already gone by with the selection, he wouldn't be able to make it to the top 7 clear teams

and therefore his dream of becoming the best striker and playing for Japan would be crushed

he wouldn't allow that to happen

once again the game started and this time kurona passed the ball to Sokura who began running forward with the ball

kurona followed along with the male but his teammate didn't get much far before shidou made his appearance in front of him

"come on, come at me" the male smirked teasingly

the blue-haired male hesitated before he felt the sudden lack of something

he looked down at his feet to see that the ball had been kicked away from him

he turned to the culprit which was none other than reo himself who passed the ball from in between his feet to shidou who was right ahead

"if you keep hesitating like that you're only giving your opponents openings to steal the ball" he chuckled while shidou made his way past the two

since his teammate was with reo, the ginger male (that you can name cause I'm not) rushed to cover for his teammate

he got next to shidou and attempted to take the ball from him by putting his hand on the blond's chest and attempting to get in front of him

Karasu flashbacks

though his attempt was weaker than the previous attempt from the bluenette on the day of their previous match

so he brushed the male's attempt aside running out of his hold which caused the male to fall to the ground due to being unbalanced by the move

face to face with the goal, he went for the shot

whistle

4-0

it was over

even if they managed to score, the ball would end up in their possession and from then there was no way they were going to regain it

kurona pondered over the ball

what could he do

he tried passing but his teammates were too slow to keep up with him

he tried playing by himself but was shut down at the last moment

screw this, he was going to be rational anymore

he made a straight run for the H/C-nette with a scowl on his face, showing off his sharp teeth while the same female blankly stared at the male's sad attempt

she didn't move an inch and with that, the male came to a stop

she wasn't in any position to make a move on him yet why wouldn't he just go for it

by the time he blinked the ball was gone

"didn't you hear what reo said to your friend back then" you looked him directly in the eyes "If you hesitate, you're only giving your opponents openings"

from in between his feet, you took the ball from his hold and made your way to their net, leaving the pinkette to stumble forward and fall to the ground

they really had no chance of winning from the start

maybe if he's lucky enough they'd pick him

BEEP, BEEP, BEEEEEEEP

at the sound of the last whistle, kurona turned his body so he could face upwards and opened his eyes

the bright lights of the ceiling flashed in his eyes as he continued to stare up

the sound of rustling grass made it to his ears as he turned to face the noise

it took a bit for him to readjust his eyes to see what was in front of him due to staring at the light too long

when his eyes finally focused, he saw your figure standing over him with an apathetic look

"you were good out there, I mean at least you tried" your calm voices spoke to him as you turned your head to look somewhere else but he couldn't see where "If you had better teammates then maybe you would've scored a goal or two but you can't dwell on that"

that's when you turned your head back to face him and brought your arm down to help him up "join us, kurona"

the male laid who was lying on the floor looked up in surprise before smiling to himself and accepting your help

you brought him back up as he finally noticed shidou and reo standing behind you, waiting for you to finish up with the male

"alright, let's get moving!" shidou move on ahead of you

"i think we have enough time for another match, let's get going so we can finally get this over with" reo suggested

"alright" you walked away while kurona followed beside you

"welcome to the team" reo waved his right hand "I'm the only normal and stable person here so if you need anything, ask me"

"what do you mean 'you're the only normal and stable person here', so am I" you looked at the male slightly offended that he had put you in the same category as shidou "If we're talking about unstable people, the only one unstable here is shidou so don't go ahead and compare me to him"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT!" the male chimed in the conversation

"I MEAN EXACTLY WHAT I SAID, YOU ARE AN INSANE MANIAC WITH NO SENSE OF HUMANITY!" you shout to the male "YOU EVEN ALMOST MURDERED ME THIS MORNING WITH THAT WRESTLING MOVE YOU TRIED USING!"

"THAT WAS THIS MORNING, GET OVER IT!"

"IT WASN'T JUST THIS MORNING, YOU'VE BEEN HARASSING ME SINCE I TEAMED UP WITH YOU!"

and with that, the two of you began to bicker

"you'll get used to it" reo sweatdropped "I've only been with them for about a day and they do it so much I'm not fazed anymore by it"

kurona sweatdropped, he had seen at first how loud you all were but he didn't think the two of you would be that bad

how wrong he was

this was going to be long

right after the match, when you got to the central room, surprisingly, there weren't many players in the place

surprisingly and eventually, you managed to get a team to play yours through shidou's threats and even more surprisingly, igaguri was a part of that team

you were shocked to see that he had made it so far as to the before last stage of the second selection but of course, this was the endgame for their team as their opponents were you guys

you won with a solid 5-0 and out of pity and 'payback for saving you' as the bald monk had stated, you picked igaguri to join your team

once you had finished the match, you called it a day due to the exhaustion of playing twice and got to your new dorm

there each one of you sat in your beds after having eaten and taken a shower, shidou and you on the left side of the room with the two beds and the side, the other three on the other three beds on the right side of the room

"no more bunks" shidou smiled as he laid on your bed with a smile

"hey if you're so happy about not having bunks anymore then why are you on my bed" you looked down at the male who was laying behind you

"why not? can't I stay close to my friend" he smiled innocently

"no, get off." you hit him in the face with your pillow

"HEY I'M TRYING TO BE NICE HERE AND THIS IS HOW I'M TREATED!"

you put your pinky finger in your ear and looked away, ignoring his burst

that's when you got tackled off your beg and onto the floor of the room where shidou sat on top of you his hands attempting to grab you by the throat but you held his hands back

"HEY GET OFF ME YOU JERK!" you attempted to shove the male off

"hey, where should I put these since we don't have drawers" kurona motioned for his shoes

"YOU'RE THE ONE WHO STARTED IT THIS TIME!" shidou went down for another attempt before you flipped the position and now you were the one on top while he tried to get up

"just put them next to your bed, you're probably going to need them tomorrow so keep them close" reo responded while tying his hair into a bun

"GET OFF ME, YOU'RE CRUSHING ME WITH ALL THAT WEIGHT OF YOURS!"

"hey you have any idea of what the last stage might be about?" kurona sat on his bed

"AND YOU THINK I WASN'T DYING WHEN YOU WERE ON TOP OF ME, LET ME REMIND YOU THAT AREN'T EXACTLY LIGHT EITHER"

"no clue but we're most likely going to play"

'am I the only one who's concerned about them' igaguri stared dumbfounded at the two duo's 'she's strangling him!'

"there there, diamonds in the rough" a clapping sound came from the TV as you halted your attempted murder

"alright now that I have your attention, let me begin" he paused for a second "as you know, next there is the third selection in which you will be participating in a training camp with several world-class players"

"but before any of that..." the screen changed from him to an image of what seemed to be 5 football players

"you'll be playing a 5 vs 5 match against these world-selected players"

your team had various reactions to the revelations

scared - igaguri

surprised - reo and kurona

excited - shidou

and simply interested - Y/N

"it's time for you kids to learn of the world" Ego smiled maliciously before he disappeared, leaving the 5 players on the screen for display

these were names all of you recognized due to their worldly recognition, especially this one

Julian Loki, The Prodigy, France National Team

though it didn't seem like everyone shared your knowledge

"who's buzz cut in the middle" shidou pointed up from the ground with you still holding onto his collar

"yeah, I was about to ask, I've never seen him" reo also questioned, clearly confused at the male's identity

"I'm surprised you guys don't know him" you looked over at the males sitting on the beds "he's a rising star and has been making a big impact on the French league"

"what are you, a football nerd" shidou smirked up at you

you scoffed, not bothering with his comment "he's actually 17"

at that statement, you could see the shocked expressions on your teammate's faces

"despite only being seventeen, he's a prodigy chosen for the French National Team" you concluded

your team was quiet once you had finished, you off shidou and walked to your bed before lying inside the covers

no, you weren't a football nerd

you only knew about him since your older brother always spoke about him, he was the real nerd out of the two of you

what you needed for tomorrow's match was not strategizing or anything

you needed sleep

the next day came, with you doing the usual routine and everything before it was time to get ready for the match against the world selected 5

as you walked into the field, the first thing that caught your attention was the group of males in the center who were having a casual conversation before they all turned to you

"and here I thought the others were scranny-looking weaklings, this one's filled with tiny wimps and a girl" the big guy, Dada Silva, laughed with an accent in English

"they're laughing at us" kurona stated with a straight face

"they're making fun of our appearances" you translated for your team

"you understand English? that's cool" reo complimented

you stayed quiet while advancing toward the center, shidou at your side

"let's crush them explosively" shidou smirked

"for once, I agree with you" you responded, a fire burning in your eyes

you weren't one to get insulted, in any case, not to your face

not that you would lash out at the group, you're not shidou, but you were going to prove to them on the field that this wasn't a mere getaway trip and that you were worth playing

whistle

your team started with the ball

you were left winger, reo was right winger and you left the center forward spot to shidou

at the back, both kurona and igaguri played full back

shidou passed the ball over to you as you dashed forward, in front of you was Julian Loki who stood back, letting you be the one to approach him

you looked to the side to see shidou run past you as you make eye contact

you pass the ball to him then run forward, past Loki and toward the penalty area

you look back to your right to see that shidou's passed the ball to reo who was now having trouble with Pablo

he sees you, you had reached the penalty area and you seemed to be the pass that'd benefit the team the most and so he passed the ball over to you

you looked at the ball, continuing to run forward so you could catch it with your feet, you noticed in front of you, Dada and Adam were placed in front of you, you looked to your left where now stood Loki with a smile on his face

they had you surrounded, there wasn't anyways you could go and with the ball coming at you from the right

that's until from the corner of your eye, you saw a strand of blonde and pink behind you

from your original shooting position to a back heel pass, you sent the ball flying backwards

if she was aiming to pass to a normal person so they could score, a pass like that was unattainable

not for shidou ryusei though

the male jumped high in the air in a backflip manner before he slammed the ball down into the goal

he then landed on the floor in a kneeling position with his left hand to his chest and his right arm sticking out from the right as if he was a bowing servant to a kingdom's emperor

"incredible, my blood cells are exploding with excitement," he said before standing up to face the group in front of him with a dark smirk on his face and a glowing purple and pinkish aura around him

"nice one Y/N, feed me some more"

this was very rushed since I was getting tired of the second selection and my game writing was getting repetitive and I was lacking inspiration so here you go 😔
