( SELENE HAYDES )
THE NIGHT BEFORE ISAAC LAHEY LEFT
selene haydes lay peacefully in the arms of isaac lahey, as 10 things i hate about you played on her flat screen tv in front of her. the girls bedroom door was shut, as chris was out on business. these were the only times she could have isaac round in her room, otherwise chris would've demanded that she keep her bedroom door open.
the two had spent nearly every free moment they had with eachother during the break, nicholas was visiting jackson in london. allison was in france visiting relatives. lydia was probably at home sleeping. and scott and stiles were together.
the blue eyed beta stared down at the brown eyed witch as she kept her eyes focused on the movie that she made him watch every time he came round. more specifically he stared at her lips. they had kissed approximately seven times since their first kiss and isaac really wanted to make it eight.
"what're you looking at?" she asked as she tilted her head up as it rested on his chest, meeting his piercing eyes.
"a very pretty friend" the boy said, as he felt a pang in his heart calling the girl his friend. he wanted to call her his girlfriend but she was against relationships and he knew this, never bringing it up.
the girl chuckled before she felt the boy flip them over so she was underneath him. a gasp left her lips as she felt isaac's lips attach to her neck leaving a trail of kisses, before finding her sensitive spot and sucking down harshly on the skin, surely bruising.
the girl moved her body up giving the boy better access as she enjoyed the moment of bliss, she felt his lips come of for a moment causing her to groan, before he mumbled something "be my girlfriend?" he said before going back to her neck.
the girls eyes widened as she looked down at the boy who was giving her feelings she never would've thought she'd feel. she knew she had to give him an answer. when realising she wasn't going to answer he looked up at her seeing her conflicted look and detaching himself.
the girl saw the look in his eyes and gave him an apologetic look "you know i don't do relationships" she said in a sorry tone. causing him to back up to sit at the edge of her bed, pulling his head into his hands.
"what are we then?" he asked turning to face the girl who hadn't left her position. she honestly didn't know what to call it but really wanted to give the boy an answer.
"very very close friends who like each other" she shrugged as she moved to wrap her arms around the boy from behind. resting her chin on his shoulder.
"i really like you, but do you know how frustrating this is for me" he said in all honesty as he felt the girls body stiffen. her arms removing themselves from his waist.
"can we work on it?" she asked hopefully as she grabbed his chin turning his head towards her with hopeful eyes. she didn't want to give up isaac but she didn't know if she could give him what he wanted.
"we're going to have to work on it after i get back from finding erica and boyd" the boy admitted as she scrunched her eyebrows.
"you're leaving already?" she asked as he turned his body to face her curled up one leaning on her pillows
"i promise, i'll be back soon" he said grabbing her hands in his larger ones, stroking his thumb against the back of her hand, soothing her growing nerves.
"how soon is soon?" the girl asked as she felt a bad feeling begin to rise in her stomach, the boy in front of her looked uncertain causing it to grow. she'd been on edge since they disappeared and knew nothing was going to change that.
"a week. two tops" he said causing her mouth to open slightly. she wanted erica and boyd found more than anyone but that didn't mean she wanted isaac going with the uncertainty of him not coming back.
"promise?" she asked sticking her pinky finger out. the boy chuckling slightly before connecting his. he leaned forward and stole a quick kiss. with one last look he stood up and walked to her door. selene could only wave goodbye before wrapping herself into a small ball on the bed staring at the spot he once sat.
isaac was someone very special to her and she'd never have a hard time admitting that, he'd managed to wedge his way into her heart and she was scared of how much of a hold he actually had on her. wanting to always be around him, touching him, holding him. she'd memorised everything about him from his mannerisms to the way his breaths sounded when he was scared.
the girl thought to distract herself and reached for her phone on her bedside table as she decided to call up scott and stiles. her fingers searching for the stilinski boys name considering he always tended to answer first.
"selene? what's wrong?" stiles asked as he remembered the girl telling him something about hanging out with isaac that night. she laughed slightly at his worried tone.
"isaac's left, can i meet you guys?" she asked as she twiddled with her thumbs before her phone started ringing against her ear, the girl pulling it away looking at the contact noticing it was her mom.
"stiles, i'll call you back in a second" the girl said not giving him time to reply before she answered, hearing her mothers cries fill the other side of the line. "mom, what's wrong?" she asked sitting up quickly as she listened through the phone.
"your fath-father, he's dead selene" the woman sobbed as selene felt her everything stop. she wasn't upset, nor was she not upset. she ended the phone quickly before feeling her legs carry her to the bathroom without thinking.
her dad had left her and her mom when she was two, the man was an addict and her parents had gotten a divorce due to this. she hadn't spoken to him since the night he showed up at their doorstep when she was 14, finding out he had gotten remarried and had another child. her half- sister ophelia, her whole world.
she quickly shut the bathroom door before splashing her face with cold water from the tap, before staring at herself in the mirror. she hadn't realised she messed up her makeup as she felt her throat close up. the pain being unbearable as she tried swallowing some water only causing it to make her throat ache , the girl felt tears rolling down her cheek as she stared at her messed up appearance.
she let a choked sob leave her throat as she held onto the sink for support, the girl not trusting herself not to fall on the floor. she wasn't crying for the man who was supposed to be her father, she was crying for all that she had lost in that moment.
