~ Plane en route to Nanda Parbat ~
Laurel looked out the window, thinking of Bruce. It's been almost three years since she has last seen him and he hasn't changed a bit. He was still handsome as ever and charming then memories of her and Bruce flooded into Laurel's mind like a tsunami.
~ Flashback ~
Laurel and Bruce have been dating for a few months now their anniversary was today and they were gonna celebrate. He had plans to take her out to dinner. So Laurel got ready for her date with Bruce. she added some finishing touches to her makeup. Walking out of her apartment a black limousine was parked outside waiting for her.
"Hello, Alfred." She said waving at him.
"Hello, Miss Lance. Might I add you look stunning." Alfred smiled. He held the door open for her.
"Thank you, Alfred."
She got in and he closed it. Alfred drove her to the restaurant.
She arrived and made her way inside. The restaurant was on the top of the building overlooking the skyline. She got in the elevator. She let out a small gasp. "You like it?" Bruce asked smiling. He kissed her on the cheek. "It's very beautiful." She said.
In the middle of the table, she spotted a bunch of red roses and some candles that lit the room. They were the only table being served and a violin was being played. Bruce pulled out her chair she sits and he slides her back in.
"You look beautiful, Laurel", Bruce said in amazement. Laurel blushed at his words. "Thank you, Brucie. You look very handsome." She said and kissed him.
They laughed, shared stories, and showered each other with affection. Laurel felt beyond in love. It was just like with Oliver her first love. Expect this one was never gonna hurt her as Oliver did.
"Thank you, Bruce. Tonight was fantastic. I love you."
"I love you too. Dinah Laurel Lance."
She leaned her head on his shoulders looking over Starling City.
She was happy and everything was perfect.
It had been a week since their candlelight dinner and Laurel was missing Bruce badly. She barely got to see him during the day because of work and when she would go to his mansion to visit him she was told by Alfred that he wasn't available. Bruce promised her that they would have more time to spend together.
Today Laurel was on her lunch break she was waiting for him. "You made it!." She said happily kissing him. "I promised, didn't I. You up for some pizza? I'm starving." He said rubbing his stomach.
"I was thinking about getting some Ice cream. We can go to the park and walk there if you're up to it."
"No problem. Means spending more time with you."
They walked to the park hand in hand smiling occasionally giving each other pecks on the cheek and mouth.
"Rocky Road?"
"It's only like the best ice cream flavor ever."
"I have to disagree with that statement. Cookies and Cream are the best."
"You take that back."
"Or what?" Bruce smirked.
"I won't do that thing you like in bed for a whole week." She smiled.
"You wouldn't..."
"Oh, I would Bruce."
"Uh fine I take it back."
"And?"
"And? What?"
"Say Rocky Road is the best."
"What do I get out of it."
"I'll wear something special for tonight."
"Ok. Rocky Road is the best." He smiled.
"Yess."
"Speaking of Ice Cream we are here."
Bruce approached the ice cream man and handed him three dollars.
"Two, single scoop Rocky road, please."
"Ya want sprinkles on that?"
"Just on one."
"Here ya go." The ice cream man said
handing over the two cones to Bruce.
"Here you go, Laurel." He walked over to the table she was sitting at and handed her the Rocky road. He stared at it as she enjoyed her own, sprinkle-covered ice cream cone.
"Maybe I wanted sprinkles on mine, too." He stole a lick of Laurel's ice cream and smiled. "Okay, I'm better now."
She took another lick of ice cream, leaving some behind on her face. "You've got some...ice cream on your face." He leaned over the table and kissed Laurel. His tongue darted out every once in a while to lick away the ice cream.
Bruce licked his bottom lip, and Laurel opened up her mouth more. Their kiss was interrupted when Laurel pulled away from his face. "You wanna do it know?" She said breathlessly.
"I thought you never asked," Bruce smirked. They quickly got up and rushed to her apartment giggling.
~ Present ~
Hearing someone take the seat across from her, Laurel looked over to see Bruce studying her.
"What are you thinking about?" he asked.
"Nothing" she quickly dismissed.
"Is it about Oliver?"
"No... it's about you."
Bruce looked surprised."Why me?"
"I don't know. Maybe I'm getting... feeling's for you again."
" Laurel..."
" I know, we agreed not to...but I can't help it. I haven't seen you in three years and It just... feels like old times again."
"Laurel. I can't. We can't. My life is dangerous. You're the Black Canary and I know you can take care of yourself but I've lost people along the way and I can't... I won't lose you too."
Bruce said taking her hands in his as Laurel wiped a few tears from her face
"You still have a chance with Oliver he has not yet surrendered himself to the darkness he can still be turned away from it. If anyone can turn him back, it will be you." He told her.
~ A/N ~
I know this chapter is short but I just wanted to add a little bit more depth into the Bruce and Laurel relationship. Don't worry Oliver and Laurel will be back together again.
