  after a long day, they made it to the limbreys. " they're fancy people, they've had like three governors in the family. they've run charleston for like, 300 years. " kiara informed, as they stopped at the house. " these kooks make our kooks look like pouges. " jj said, his mouth wide as he heard the backstory.

" two times the charm.. " leilani said, referencing how much it took to get here. " you sure this the place? " elliot raised an eyebrow, " pretty sure. " pope nodded, " all right. " the pooh he's got out the car, " fat city for sure.. " jj nodded. " twenty-seven king street. " pope said, confirming it was the right place.

" talk about home security. " jj said, looking at the gates. " anywhere else, one fence would be okay. " leilani added on, " are those spikes to keep people out? " jj asked, looking up, " no. " kiara shook her head, " the slave quarters are over there. " pope said, " they were to keep people in. " elliot added, " were? " leilani raised an eyebrow, as everybody turned to her.

" what...this seems mad shady.. " she defended herself, " girls got a point. " jj nodded his agreement, as elliot looked between the two, holding back his smirk.

after they made it past the gates, pope knocked a few times. " think that was to much? " pope asked turning toward the rest, leilani and elliot both nodding. " it echoed the entire house, that's for sure. " jj told pope, " so they definitely heard it. " he finished, " maybe no one's home. " kiara suggested, as pope knocked again.

this time in the process of knocking, the door opened. it revealed a man with dirty blonde hair, and a beard, he leaned on the doorway as he looked between the group. when he saw pope, he licked his lips. " you must be pope? " he asked, with a small smirk, which leilani raised her eyebrow suspiciously at.

" uhm...are you mr. limbrey? " pope asked, looking at the guy. " ms. limbrey, was expecting you yesterday. " the man raised his eyebrow,  looking just at pope totally ignoring the others. " oh. i'm...i'm sorry, my cat broke down on the way up here. " he explained, " carburetor blew up in the middle of nowheresville. " jj added on, " smoke went everywhere. " leilani nodded.

he looked at the two, jj giving a small smile. " sorry about that. " he nodded, " yeah, she was, uh, real upset when you didn't show up. " he said, looking back at pope. " we tried to call, but there's no number on the invitation. we got here as fast as we could be. " kiara told him, trying to explain. " she also expected you to come alone. " he looked at pope.

" i mean, these are my friends. they helped find the royal merchant too. i- " he got cut off, " the instructions were explicit. your friends can stay outside. " the man said, as leilani held back her scoff. " we're kind of a package deal, man. " jj said, both kiara and elliot making weird faces. " jj...it's okay, i got this. " pope nodded.

leilani looked between pope and the man. " i'll be good. " he nodded, " yeah, we'll be right here. " kiara told pope. " keep the car running. " pope whispered to her, as kiara and pope pulled away from their hand holding.

leilani, jj, elliot, and kiara sat in the car. " look if limbreys legit...then ward gets arrested and maybe sarah gets the gold. " kiara explained, " or if.... " kiara looked at leilani and elliot, jj shaking his head no, a signal for her to shut up.

leilani sat more up when she saw pope getting dragged somewhere with a lady, who she guessed was ms. limbrey and the man holding his back, " does that look voluntary? " kiara asked, obviously worried by her tone. " no...not at all. " leilani shook her head, " negative. " jj said, " yeah definitely not... " elliot agreed with the two, still looking in between them weirdly.

leilani started to unbuckle her seat belt, " wait..." jj grabbed her shoulders, as leilani turned to him confused, elliot not opening the door waiting for what he was gonna say. " they're going into the alley. " jj said, " go around the back. " elliot told jj, as jj started the car, kiara looking nervous for pope as elliot lightly rubbed her shoulders.

" hey be chill. " leilani told jj, the blonde nodded. " yeah chill. " he said, looking at her. " where did they go? " kiara looked out the window, " what if they went underground? " jj asked, as leilani gave him a look. " because in C.H.H.D, they took people down into the sewers. " jj informed.

" it would turn the humans into humanoids' cause of the radiation, and then all of a sudden- " jj got cut off, " jj, this is real life...and that makes no sense." leilani trailed off, jj turned to her. " it's makes sense, and me and you are so watching it. " jj said, making plans, leilani raised an eyebrow, elliot looked between the two again.

" jj.. " kiara said trying to get him back on track, " right..sorry, did you see him? " jj asked, " no. "

the man held up a taser to pope, about to tase him until he kicked the man in the penis. the man grunted dropping his taser, the man reached for it but pope moved his hands away. leilani, jj, elliot and kiara ran in.

jj kicked the taser to leilani as she picked it up. " come on! " kiara told pope, pope stood up punching the man one more time. " come on, just leave him! " elliot said, as they got into the car. " who were those people!? " kiara exclaimed.

" that was crazy - let's go out of here. " pope rambled his words, jj started the car driving away, they saw another car on their trail. " he's following us! " elliot exclaimed.

pope turned to jj, " this is a one way.. " pope informed him. " i know. " jj nodded, " go that way! " leilani exclaimed, " it's a one way! " they all exclaimed to jj at the same time.

" hey! there's another car! turn now! " pope exclaimed, as jj made a fast right, in order not to crash. when he made the fast right, they saw two people. " look out! " leilani exclaimed.

" those were people! " kiara said. " oh my gosh! " elliot said catching him breath, " get out of the road! " jj yelled at them, " that was evasive driving technique right there, yall. " jj informed, " more like insane! " leilani exclaimed making jj give her a glare.

" where we going? " pope asked, " hang on, i'm gonna lose him. " jj made a turn, as the car made a weird sound. " you said he fixed it! " jj exclaimed turning to pope. " no, no, no. "

" okay, what now, mario!? " kiara exclaimed to jj, " number one rule, never trust mechanics! " jj cursed, all of them getting out the car. the car approached, " we gotta go around. " jj said, all of them following him.

" guys i think he has a gun! " kiara exclaimed, they looked at him pulling something from his jacket. " definitely a gun! " leilani nodded. " we might have to split up! " jj said. as they continued running. " what!? " leilani exclaimed

" i don't know where to go, okay? and we gotta lose him! " jj defended as they continued running, they made it down an alley as they when on the street, they saw a bike about to bump into the bike.

they looked at the people on the bike, john b routledge and sarah cameron.

they looked at each other, with shock expressions. " get in! " john b said, as they listened, when they turned now however was chasing john b and sarah was now chasing them as well - which was weird because sarah and john b's chaser looked oddly rich.

" hes gaining! " john b exclaimed, pope fell as the man almost grabbed him, but he pulled away. the man tried to reach out but fell. " see ya later alligator! " leilani exclaimed.

sarah and john b brought them to the boat, " this yours? " jj asked, john b nodding. " all right, ready? " jj asked pope, " lift it up. " sarah said. as jj and pope started moving the boat.

eventually, they were in the ocean. after some explaining, it felt back to normal with the addition of elliot, the normal laughs were all back.

they rolled closer to outer banks, " anyone else starving? we need to grab some sort of breakfast. " jj asked, leilani nodding her agreement. " we're gonna find some food. " sarah said.

leilani, sarah and kiara all looked for food, as kiara found a watermelon. " jackpot! " kiara exclaimed with a proud smile, the two laughed at her before walking over.

they started eating the watermelon, " okay, so you really got married? " kiara asked sarah, leilani also interested. " it wasn't exactly legal, but... " sarah started as both kiara and leilani shrugged with a smile. " yeah. " sarah looked at them with a smile that screamed lovesick.

they continued eating. " so am i crazy, or is there definitely something going on between you and pope? " sarah asked, raising an eyebrow. " oh, you should've seen them this summer, they hung out 24/7. " leilani added with a smirk.

kiara shrugged, " maybe. " she said trying to hide her smile. sarah and leilani gave each other, knowing looks. " that's not a no.. " they both said, with a smile. " it's not a no. " kiara added.

kiara quickly turned, " but you have no room to talk leilani sampson. " kiara said with a smirk, " if that's even your real name. " sarah added on, nodding beside her. " what? " leilani asked now herself trying to hide her smile.

" you and jj? " kiara asked, raising an eyebrow. " w-what. nothing. " leilani shook her head, her cheeks a little rosy. " that's been going on. " sarah corrected kiara, the carrera girl nodding her agreement.

" you guys are always next to each other...and teasing each other, " kiara turned to sarah. " yesterday i swore he gave her a ring. " kiara said, sarah looked at her finger. " there's a ring... " sarah smirk grew.

" it's nothing! " leilani shook her head, " girl. " both sarah and kiara said turning to her shaking their heads. they made the contact with each other - a signal that they would be wing women's.

they walked back over, " hi. what yall talking about? " sarah asked, with a small smile, holding watermelons for them. " uh...fishing. " john b said, " dropping lures. " jj added.

" that's, that. you know? " jj said, " okay.. " sarah trailed off, tilting her head a bit. jj turned to leilani, " need help? " he asked, taking the watermelon from her. " thanks. " she smiled.

" goodness gracious. " jj said, once he held the weight of the watermelon. " what's that about now? " pope asked the three, " got breakfast. " kiara smiled.

they made it to the deck of the the chateau, " there she is. " john b said, his voice soft. " bet it is good to see her old bones. " jj said, " welcome home guys! " he added.

everyone got off the boat, " gotta be honest, not exactly looking forward to a check-in at home. " kiara spoke, " my parents probably already arranged my funeral. " she added on.

" i predict unpleasantries at the hayward household after i left the truck in charleston. " pope sighed, sarah lightly turned to leilani and elliot. " how did your dad react to the news...about my dad? " sarah asked, elliot and leilani looked at each other. " gotta catch you up a bit.. " leilani trailed off before she could respond, her face showing she was confused, jj spoke.

" no one knows we're here right? and you two aren't gonna get into anymore trouble for showing up 12 hours later, am i right or am i right? " jj looked between kiara and pope, trying to change the subject after sensing leilani discomfort.

" you're not wrong. " pope sighed, " that means we have 12 hours to do whatever we want! " jj shrugged, a radiating off him. " huh? a little pouge fellowship. how does that sound? " jj asked. a wide smirk. " hit the fam tomorrow. " john b agreed. " yeah! "

" the cops can be looking for us,  it can be very stupid. " sarah said, unsure. jj walked up to her, " sarah cameron, you've heard of my philosophy. right? " jj asked. " no. " she shook her head with a smirk, " stupid things have good outcomes all the time. " he said, " who with me? let's get some beer! "

they all turned to elliot, " you have a fake id don't you? " jj asked, elliot nodded. " i'm not going alone though! "elliot warned, as he looked at the other pouges, kiara was about to offer until she looked at pope, who wanted her to stay.

leilani stood up, sarah also stood up. " i'd go as well...you guys can catch me up. " sarah nodded," i love you sarah, but maybe not a good idea? i mean a dead person walking around town? "

sarah sighed before sitting down, the two headed out. elliot using his fake id while leilani got small snacks, when they were about to leave. rafe walked over.

" hey, hey, hey. lei and elliot! " he smiled, " what brings you two here? " he asked, with a smirk. " just snacks " she forced a smile. tense from seeing him. " oh....your not over twenty one last time i remember but don't worry, i won't snitch. "

rafe paused, " you know your dad been worried... " he said, leilani fake smiled fades as he noticed he pulled out his phone, " i can call him.. "

" no. " she shook her head, " lani, lani, lani...its those damn pouges, they're manipulating you, and now you. " he looked at elliot before turning back to her. " i'm calling him. "

leilani left the store, as rafe followed. " where do you think your going!? " rafe yelled, " anywhere but here! " she yelled back. " are you happy with your life!? being broke, being a pouge hanging out with the pouges for goodness sake! one call...and your old life can be back. "

leilani turned to him, as she hesitated, " yeah, that's it. " he nodded. leilani quickly snapped out of it as she looked at elliot, " let's go... "

" come on lei... " rafe said softly but she just continued walking away. " come on lei! " he shouted this time.

the pouges partied, all in the hot tube. " i never made good grades in school when i get out, i act like a fool. they say i come in the party and cause a commotion, im smooth yeah, they call me lotion. " pope rapped.

as they all laughed. " just like intended... " jj finished his story. " that was way too genuine.. " sarah shook her head, with a smirk.

after it turned to pope and jj having a fake fight. " pope with the single-leg sweep! " john b narrated, " you've got a new technique now. " jj said, as pope won. " when did you start wrestling? " leilani furrowed her eyebrows with an amused smile, " i dunno. " pope shrugged also with a smile.

" i'm done im out of here. " pope said, " did you have too much beers? " jj mocked, in an accent. " you want s round two? " jj asked. " yeah, i think i'll take my losses. " pope shook his head.

kiara stood up, walking to pope as elliot watched her. " really!? " sarah exclaimed, looking at pope and kiara shocked. " way to be discreet! " elliot added on, looking at them. " i leave, and this is what happens? " john b said.

" are you blaming us? " leilani asked, turning to john b. " just a little bit. your boys out, beer time. " john b stood up, " you guys are the one that did! " jj defended, leilani nodding in agreement. " literally one job. " sarah laughed.

" okay! " jj said, sarcastically. " no pouge-on-pouge macking! " sarah exclaimed adding on, " sarah one job? really - who got you in the phantom? " jj asked, leilani laughed. " only one ya know— " sarah said.

" technically you and john b are pouge-on-pouge macking! " leilani defended, " it's different because we were already a thing! " sarah added on, shaking her head. leilani and jj met each other glaze, shaking their heads as well.

" wait hold that thought- " jj walked to john b, sensing his sadness when looking at the tree, that they carved for his death. " hm, and you and jj already had a thing so, it wouldn't be pouge-on-pouge macking. " sarah smirked.

elliot looked up, " oh really? " he asked, raising an eyebrow. " no really we didn't have a thing! " leilani shook her head, " they so did...you see the chemistry right? " sarah turned to elliot, him nodding.

they saw, pope and kiara on the boat. " ooh! " leilani smirked, " have a good time!" sarah shouted to them with a smirk. " there he goes. he backed your boat, dude. " jj told pope, a smirk as well. " popes pocking on the pouge. " john b said which elliot rolled his eyes at.

they heard a sound, which they all turned to. " wait, wait, wait. what was that? " john b asked, as they all turned. " your chicken? " jj suggested, titling his head. " i heard a car door. " elliot spoke.

they all turned as jj started making chicken sounds, leilani quickly bringing her hand to his mouth as jj didn't resist.

leilani, jj, sarah and john b all hid in trees, as they saw rafe looking around. " anything? " rafe yelled, as barry soon came in sight. " no, ain't nothing in there, bro. " barry shook his head.

" no nothing? " rafe repeated, " no, nothing, rafe. " barry nodded, obviously sassy. " they were obviously just here based off the smoke! " rafe exclaimed pointing. " yeah, yeah, yeah. great observation, boy scout. " barry clapped.

" they're not far you know? " rafe spoke, his voice getting louder. " smokey the bear! look at you, bro! " barry said. " they gotta be around here somewhere... " rafe looked at one of the trees, as he saw the message to john b, when they all thought he died.

" p4l. " barry laughed, shaking his head amused, " so your sisters a pouge for life, huh, rafe. now who would've thought? " barry teased. rafe looked pissed, as he screamed shooting the tree and other trees, which a bullet barely passed leilani.

" chill out! you're gonna get us busted, dawg! " barry grabbed him, " let's bounce! let's go. " they started leaving, the pouges looked at each other, catching their breaths.

kiara and pope started climbing on the deck, after morning had came. " finally hey! " leilani exclaimed, as they all walked to them. " guys, don't tie up. stop it! " jj ordered, as kiara and pope looked at them confused.

leilani and jj reached them first, " we're dipping. " jj said, as he helped leilani on the boat. " wait, why? " pope asked, as kiara also rambled questions. " what happened last night? " elliot looked between the two.

" we slept on the break, what's up? " pope asked, obviously confused. " slept, right. yeah. " jj teased as elliot and pope both rolled their eyes. " we were up all night. " leilani said. " we gotta get out of here. " john b went in the boat.

" rafe knows we're here, so we have to leave. like now. " sarah explained, her now getting in the boat as leilani helped her in because of her wound.

they all got in the boat and went to a place, just full of land. " look, if rafe and barry know, it's only a matter of time before everyone's knows. " pope spoke, " i told you, we should've went south! " jj exclaimed at the group.

" just stop it. " john b shook his head, " why does now ever listen? " jj continued, " i get. i get. i understand. " john b said, trying to calm him down. " i have a plan.. " sarah said, as she got all their attention.

" with me back, my dad gonna have to pick to choose between me and rafe. " sarah said, leilani looked up, you didn't have to be genius to realize sarah was always the favorite sibling.

" sarah - sarah.. " john b started, " he's gonna pick me! " sarah told him, " just please listen. ward keeps lying to you, sarah. " john b finished. sarah looked down to the ground.

" he won't agree after all that happened. " kiara agreed with john b. " no, i know it sounds crazy... " sarah started, " yeah it does. " kiara nodded, " ...but he's my dad. i know him, and i know he loves me. " sarah defended.

" i'm just asking for two hours. " sarah finished, looking between them. " i say it's worth a try.. " leilani sighed getting the attention of them as well, sarah gave her a thankful nod.

sasha stood up as she started to walk away, " sarah are you sure? " john b asked, sarah turned before nodding. " yeah. " she said, " okay. " john b nodded as sarah officially walked away.

kiara shook her head, " this is stupid. " she said, leilani turned to her. " honestly...it may work. " leilani said, shrugging. " that's biased...you've know him since you were a kid. " jj said. " i have...and he's not a bad person - just.. "

" selfish? greedy? " john b suggested as leilani sighed, " just give it a try. " she said.

sarah came back, sniffing and crying. leilani could already tell it didn't ended up well. she gave them a small smile, " what happened? " john b asked, walking to her.

" so, how'd it go? " john b repeated his question, in different words. " you guys were right. it didn't work. " sarah sniffled, as leilani heart sank a bit at that.

" sorry. " sarah apologized as leilani lightly rubbed her shoulders. " well that settles it guys...now yall need to load up in the paggy wagon, and get the heck out of dodge right now. " jj said.

" right, you'll need supplies, and you'll have to split as soon as possible. " pope said, kiara attention was somewhere as elliot followed her eyes. " might be to late... " he spoke, they all turned as they heard sirens wailing.

" they followed you here? " john b asked, as the cars came closer. " must've been your father. we have to find another way out. " pope said, " stay on the beach with your hands in the air! " a cop shouted.

" go now! " they all started running, " great...running from cops! " leilani yelled, but followed them nonetheless.

after running for a while, they hid behind a tree. more cops came as they went the other way. " we're trapped. they surrounded us! " pope said, catching his breath. " what do we do? " elliot asked.

" no getting out of it. we gotta make a stand. " jj pulled out a gun, leilani turned to him. " jj don't... " she trailed off, shaking her head, john b grabbed his wrist, before grabbing the gun and dropping it one floor.

" it's gonna be alright... " john b hid the gun in the ground, waiting for the cops to get closer as he put his hands up. " hands up! " should said, " stay right where you are keep your hands where we can see them. "

" i'm surrendering. " john b said, his hands in the air.
