Safe and sound. It seems like those are the two things Cori'iana is incapable of having at the same time since her life was thrust into the public eye, thanks to her grandmother.

Cori'iana Sanandrassa loves to serve others.  It brings her joy, but with that joy comes unexpected sorrow. She loved serving the people of Naboo as their queen before Padme Amidala, but the sorrow life brought her, threatened her life and the lives of her people. It was safer for all involved that she not campaign for a second term.  Instead, Cori'iana continued on as Counselor to the Queen, still able to serve the people of Naboo from a safer distance.

While Cori'iana and Obi-Wan flirted a bit during his time on Naboo protecting her from further assassination attempts, both knew that forming a connection was strictly forbidden. But knowing that didn't stop either of their hearts from yearning for the other.  And the years that passed didn't seem to change things.

Both Obi-Wan and Cori'iana continue to navigate life's challenges over the years, as well as the Republic's, but repeatedly find themselves thrown together.  Both are well aware that their feelings for the other could prove to be their downfall. But there is also a chance that the other is exactly what they are missing.

I would be lying if I said I came up with this all on my own. MissHiraeth98 has been so helpful with all of this. First, by encouraging me to even venture into this fandom. Second, by encouraging me to "do more." I've never done so much world-building and plotting with any of my other stories than I have for this one. But being able to work with her and have her support has made the process of creating fun again.
