So wattpad pulled a wattpad and deleted the one-shot I've been working on ,, so I decided to just make this little snippet revolving around this piece of fan-art.

"Do you see it?"

". . No."

"It's right there."

"Those are just lines. . ."

The raven hedgehog emitted a breathy chuckle ,, soon grasping Rouge's hand to directly show her where the glittering constellation took place in the glowing night sky. "Riiiiight. . . There."

Only a second later she commented; "I still don't see it." Her brows furrowed. Shadow hummed in response ,, of course still being in an absolute trance.

"Shadow. ." Rouge pouted. Shadow again said nothing. To break this trance of his Rouge tugged her hand away and sat up.

"As much as I love spending time with you ,, this isn't my ideal date." Rouge sat cross legged and rested her head on her hand. Boredom caused her to pick at the dark blades of grass with her free hand.

Shadow thought for a second before sitting up and placing a hand on her back. "You have to use your imagination ,, Rouge. Those millions of stars up there hide intricate mysteries and patterns ,, you have to open yourself up to see them. Let your conciousnes flow free."

Rouge looked over to Shadow ,, of course ,, his gaze being to the stars. In his ruby colored eyes she saw the stars of the sky reflecting their radiance off of his beautiful eyes. Rouge smirked ,, "That's awfully poetic of you."

"Maria and me used to star gaze all the time back on the ark. I found myself getting carried away in thought. It seems I still do." Rouge laid back down on the grass ; she closed her eyes and took a breath. Let it all go. . .

Rouge opened her sapphire eyes once again. The stars seemed to glow even brighter than before. Right next to her was Shadow laying on his side. "Do you see it now?" He whispered.

Rouge turned her head to look into his eyes. She smiled softly. The bat leaned up to give him a soft kiss near his lips ,, almost in a teasing way. She let out a breathy chuckle against him.

"No. Still don't."
