" how did you know that stuff could help with Alby's suffering? " I sat on the grass as the dark haired girl looked over at me, " I don't know " she softly spoke under her breath. We started talking with one another more getting more closer, being able to trust each other finally as friends.

I picked at the grass in front of me, the lime fresh green was what ran through the whole glade, well until you get to the forest. I haven't gone near that forest ever since I was brutally attacked by Ben, here's the creepy thing. Thomas told me that he was already attacked by Ben before and that they had already put Ben back into the maze. But somehow he got back into the glade a month later after his attack on Thomas.

I looked over towards the little pits that they kept people in, I knew Thomas was in one of them because Gally was brutal enough to shove him into one of the pits because he killed a griever, I mean if I was Gally I'd be clapping for Thomas which I was actually clapping for him when I found out he had killed a griever before.

Gally shot me a death stare in that moment and I just clapped even louder, which to be honest just got me dragged over to one of those pits for a few hours for, 'being disrespectful' of the glade. Not my problem I'm proud of my 'brother' for killing something so dangerous and huge. I bet Gally has never killed one and that he's just jealous.

" why is he in there? " Teresa tapped my shoulder which I blinked back into existence and looked over at her, " for disobeying the rules " I mumbled as Teresa looked concerned. " what rule did he break? " she asked staring into my eyes, " ran into the maze and killed griever " I said slightly embarrassed that I had to be telling this to her, " that's stupid " she said cuddling with her knees against her chest.

" easy for you to say " I said as I pushed my hair back out of my face, " glad I have another girl to talk to " Teresa smiled sweetly. " me to " I smiled back before getting up when I see Gally go running off somewhere, " I'll be back " I turned around before running off towards Gally.

" Gally! " I called out slowing down as he turned around and stared at me, " what greenie? " he said when i rolled my eyes at the 'greenie', " I have a name and it's not greenie.. " I clenched my jaw a bit, "-..it's Mavis " I nodded. " yeah I know I just prefer saying greenie " he joked.

" isn't Thomas supposed to be coming out now? I mean he stayed the night like you said.. " I placed my hands on my hips, " your right greenie " he said when I sighed a relief that he finally said I was right about something, " I'll let him out in a bit " Gally said, I couldn't tell if he was lying or not but I just shrugged and walked away.

A few hours later I was following Newt around as if he was the mother duck, " oh come on Newt! Pleaseee " I begged but he just kept making grunting sounds everytime he heard me speak, " no Mavis last warning! " he yelled back. " Minho and Thomas could tell you how fast of a runner I am! " I pointed to the two boys that were standing near the maze.

" I don't care, I've seen them run I haven't seen you run ever since you face planted! " he laughed at me a bit as I crossed my arms over my chest, " your not the boss of me " I said when he turned around looking like he was about to give up on arguing with me soon, " I know, but what I can tell you is that it's one of the rules in the glade. No none runners in and out of the maze " he said as he copied me by crossing his arms.

" then make me a runner!? " I raised an eyebrow while negotiating with him, " nobody wants to be a runner I told Thomas this to!.. " he sighed as he scratched the top of his head. "-..besides I almost lost Alby I can't lose you to " he had a worry in the tone of his voice.

" i promise you won't Newt! " I placed a hand on his shoulder when he tilted his head to follow him, I watched from behind him every step he took as I noticed he was walking over towards the maze, Minho smiled and waved as I waved back. " you got yourself another runner " Newt stopped looking back at me as he sounded disappointed.

" you sure you wanna do this? " Thomas asked walking over next to me as he picked up a vest that the runners usually wore over their shoulders, " yes " I said looking at Newt. " she really is a fast runner, surprisingly she caught up to me even when she was way behind us " Minho held the straps of his vest smiling proudly at Newt who raised his eyebrows shocked.

The door began opening as Minho and Thomas walked inside, I turned to Newt and gave him a hug, " see you soon brother " I pulled away before running after the two boys that disappeared into the maze. I looked back when I noticed Teresa standing outside of the maze next to Newt she looked directly at me and waved.

I didn't have time to wave back as I turned around a corner, " this way! " Minho called out as we turned around another corner I nearly slipped from some slime that was on the ground. I didn't know to tell Minho and Thomas or not that their could be a griever around from the slime that was on the ground.

Honestly I had no idea where we were going because they never filled me in on the plan, I just kept quickly having to turn randomly and nearly falling or running into a wall but still managing to catch up to them. I blew the strand of hair out of my face that kept falling down onto my nose.

I ran as I looked back once we got into an opening it was wide and a huge empty space that had different openings from walls, I ran still keeping a concentrated face. Even tho I kept looking around I needed to know where I was going and needed to keep clear of my surroundings, I ran past a wall that had a giant red 5 on the side of it.

I ran up next to Minho as Thomas was a little bit behind us, next their was a giant red 6 painted on another wall of the maze. I continued running but slowly made a stop when I noticed Minho slowly down, we stopped in front of an open space that had one wall that said Z1 and another had a giant red 7, and then an opening to a long corridor, " what is this? " I asked a little out of breath from all the running we had to do.

" this is strange " Minho spoke as I walked down the corridor with the two boys, " what is? " I said looking up and around the area as we walked. " section 7 isn't supposed to be opened for another week.. " Minho said as me and Thomas exchanged 'wtf' looks.

" what the hell is this place? " I walked steadily as we entered a section that had these weird tall door looking things, I jogged until I saw a brown bag and a red ish tank top, except I don't think it was originally a red tank top. I noticed it was bloody and had some blood next to it. I held it up to the boys, " Ben..? " I said.

" yeah.. " Minho said as I dropped the tank top down onto the ground, " a griever must have killed him down here " Minho licked his lips as we heard a weird crackling sound from on his back, Thomas quickly whipped him around and grabbed that strange thing we saw yesterday.

I pulled my hair up into a ponytail when Thomas kept walking back and forth in different directions as the beeping got a little louder, " I think it's showing us the way " Thomas's eyes widened as I tightened the ponytail.

We continued following Thomas the whole way, I stayed next to Minho behind the boy that looked like he was going on a scavenger hunt. I heard growls off in the distance so I stayed close up the Thomas sometimes as Minho ran up to. It was if we were two scared baby ducks running after their mother, we stopped.

I ran into the back of Thomas shoulder and held my nose for a little bit, " Jesus Thomas! " I said when Minho put a finger over my mouth to shush me, I glanced over seeing that we have arrived somewhere. I did not wanna go into the place realizing it was a bridge pretty much with two large drops on each sides into nothingness.

But of course Thomas and Minho started walking their ways into the place so I had to follow, I swear if a griever shows up and pulls me into the unknown I'm going to have a mental breakdown. " have you seen this before? " Thomas turned to Minho, " no I haven't " he said when I seriously thought that was weird. I mean the main runner having no idea of this place.. strange.

" it's just another dead end! " I stopped at the end of the bridge thing, when suddenly the weird machine thing clicked and turned green and the wall began rising up. And two other walls behind that wall, and then a weird circle spiralled open, I stood in front of the tunnel that had opened.

Suddenly Minho raised his hand that had goo all over it, " ew " I mumbled, " grievers " Minho spoke when suddenly a red light shined over all of us as if it were scanning our bodies, my heart started racing when a whole bunch of different sounds kept going on. " what the hell was that? " I asked when Thomas just shrugged.

" we gotta get out of here " Thomas mumbled when he tossed the key thing to Minho and we all began running as fast we could, we ran out into the opening when we noticed all the tall door walls began closing, " we gotta go, run guys we're gonna get trapped! " Minho screamed when I followed the boy grabbing onto Thomas's arm as he also had started running.

I slipped through different openings I could find, I slowed down and stopped with Thomas when Minho managed to get through one but Thomas and I on the other hand. Did not work out to well, " this way Mavis! " Thomas screamed. I ran as fast as I could. " Minho! " he screamed to the boy when we saw him through the thing.

Thomas managed to run through an opening but I didn't get to go through the one he did, I ran as fast as I could, I stopped when I realized the last opening out of the doors was closed.

" MAVIS! " I heard Thomas scream, " MAVIS NO WE HAVE TO GO BACK! " I heard him scream again but then the screaming went silent when they clearly had to keep going without me.

I turned around looking at the closed hallway I was inside of, I was trapped for the night inside of the maze. With no way out, I can't even go into the main parts of the maze I'm trapped in the blades area. I sat down against the wall and buried my face into my knees.

I told Newt I'd see him when I get back, but now I can't even see Newt. I was trapped in here and he was in the glade waiting for me to come back.

Who knows if I'll actually make it back alive or not, I need to somehow survive the night in here.

Gally sure as hell is probably happy that I'm stuck in here. Wouldn't be surprised to be honest.

𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐋𝐀𝐃𝐄

" where is Mavis? " Newt ran over as the two boys have arrived into the glade, " in there " Thomas pointed back into the maze. " you're joking " his voice cracked as he tilted his head. " he's not she's trapped in one of the blades hallways " Minho stared at the ground focused.

They talked to everyone about how they found a way out, " so Mavis is pretty much dead tonight? " Gally interrupted as Thomas shot a glare at him, " you don't know that " he stared at the boy. " I mean come on now, she's probably dead " Gally kept trying to convince them that Mavis was 100% dead.

" stop saying that Gally! " Newt stopped the boy from walking, " she's in the maze for the night guys! You know what happened to Ben and to Alby? " Gally pointed to the doors, " if she's not back by tomorrow morning I'm crossing her name off of the wall. " Gally mumbled before walking away from the group.

" is there anyway she could still be alive in the Maze? " Teresa walked with Thomas as he gulped a bit trying to figure out words to say, " who knows, I've never been trapped in the maze let alone in the blades part " he said when he noticed the worry in the girls eyes.

" I still believe she's alive, no matter what. I'm also not letting him cross her name off of that wall yet " Teresa spoke a little angrily before running off after Gally who was already going over to the wall even tho he said he was gonna cross her name off in the morning.

" Gally what are you doing? " Teresa stood next to the boy as he bent over grabbing a knife and went over towards Mavis's name, " crossing her name off " he mumbled under his breath. " no you will not! " Teresa's jaw dropped offended. " she's still out there! " she defended, " Mavis is as dead as anyone else who got trapped in that maze, so suck it up Teresa! " Gally began putting a cross over Mavis's name.

He really thought she was dead already, and he honestly didn't really care if she was dead or alive.

" just wait till she returns... you'll be sorry " Teresa rolled her eyes.
