          FOUR MONTHS AGO, OSCAR ARRIVED, like every Glader has, with no memories of their pasts, who they were, where they came from, who put them there and were left with only their names. Trapped in a place they called the Glade, surrounded by four walls, forced to live and were able to adapt in the Glade.

          But Oscar didn't arrive through the Box like every Greenie has, he was found in the maze by Runners, unconscious, wounded and slipped into a coma. With his arm written "DON'T TRUST WICKED" as some sort of a message or a warning.

Oscar is different from the Gladers, voices haunted him almost daily and in his dreams, with a couple of fragment of memories somehow still attached, yet they're incoherent and ambiguous, even the names "Thomas" and "Teresa" are stuck in his mind, like a recorder playing over and over. He believes he holds the solution of solving the maze, but no one believes him, or don't want to believe him. Some Gladers think he's nuts, some think he's only trying to find his way into the maze and some are too afraid of finding answers they might not like. Oscar forms enemies and allies within the Glade and because of him, the Gladers fall apart from trusting one another. Some don't trust him and the rest do.

Everything begin to change when the newcomers arrive, the somewhat ghosts from Oscar's unknown past; Thomas and Teresa.
