Ren is a young man of average height and build. He has dark blue hair and sapphire blue eyes, the left eye being a paler shade than the right. He has a large burn scar on the left side of his face and body which he received when he was a child. Much like his twin sister Ichika, people have commented that his eyes not only were dull but held only anger, but after joining Jujutsu Tech, his eyes also became much clearer and full of less hatred and anger.

Just like his twin sister Ichika, he shares the same facial shape and features, which is a soft diamond with light blue eyes (despite being different shades) and the same black hair that reflects dark blue in the light. Ren's complexion is fair but holds some scars from his past, his most prominent scars are on his back which are lashes which he doesn't talk about.

But unlike his sister, he has thin, split-ended eyebrows and a mole on his chin, in the same place as his mother, Asami Fujimura. He even regularly hears comments on how much he looks like his mother.

When he becomes angry or when his wolf form is losing control, Ren's eyes turn into a golden color and his nails grow much sharper, into claws. His teeth even show to become sharper and his nose grows to be the same as a wolf.

While his ears are normal in their human form, sometimes his black fluffy wolf ears can pop out of nowhere when he gets excited or he needs them to hear something better. Sometimes his tail, black and fluffy too, can pop out when he is on a mission.

During the events of Jujutsu Kaisen Season One as a first year student, Ren Fujimura, wears the standard male's jujutsu uniform dark blue jacket with a white or black long sleeved dress shirt underneath, wearing matching uniform pants that are baggy in contrast to Megumi's uniform pants that reach to his ankles and he wears black combat boots with black socks.

For his hair, due to it being quite long reaching to his shoulders, he often ties it in a half up half down style or sometimes ties it in a low ponytail. If his mission is over, he sometimes ties it in a bun. Sometimes on missions, he lets Ichika and Nobara style his hair.

For his cursed wolf form to not go rogue, Akina gifted him a cursed object that would help him use his cursed energy without his form going rogue. This cursed object it a wolf pendant with two rubies as the eyes, tied in a black string that helps him wear it as a necklace, as long as he holds it and keeps it on him, he won't go rogue when he needs his cursed energy and techniques the most.

𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐋:

For normal days and casual outfits, he usually wears black and darker variations of color mainly being blue in grunge and dark academia style. He sometimes wears black, silver or gold jewelry and accessories.

All formal events are categorized differently in each of her different styles depending on the events that is attending:

If he is on a romantic date with a man or woman. Ren makes sure to style himself in a more fancy manner as he still wears black and other darker colors in his clothes and shoes and wears jewelry and accessories that will make himself look more fancy. He also puts his hair in more fancy styles, sometimes keeping his hair loose but slicked back or sometimes tying it in a more fancy style.

If he is with his twin sister Ichika, Megumi Yuji, Nobara, Junpei and Chia after a mission, if they go to a club to party (legal for their age), he will still wear his usual style but adds more jewelry and accessories that make him feel more happier and fancier with his usual signature colors and styles his hair as always.

For formal events, whether it be with the school or any other, depending on the occasion and event, Ren has a range of fancy outfits such as tuxedos and such, that he has and will sometimes wear jewelry and accessories to match the outfit. He will also ask Ichika and Nobara to style his hair for the event and they sometimes do his makeup as well.

When he is combat training or sparring with her teachers and friends/classmates/upperclassmen, despite being his usual grunge and dark academia style and usual dark color variations, Ren keeps these outfits comfortable and plain. He often wears tracksuits, long sleeved shirts, tank tops, short sleeved shirts, shorts and pants with sneakers or sometimes is barefoot due to his cursed technique.

To have the day off with his friends/classmates/upperclassmen, whether it's just watching movies, laughing and kicking back with everyone, creating art in his bedroom or just sitting back and watching YouTube videos, he wears outfit comfortable shorts and pants with oversized sweaters, t-shirts and tank tops with either slippers or is barefoot.

During the nighttime, whether Ren is taking the chance to get a well deserved good nights of sleep or is having fun night with his friends/classmates, he often wears matching black or dark colors pajama shorts or pants with a matching t-shirt or tank top with slippers or is barefoot when walking.

Ren Fujimura, much his twin sister Ichika, holds a stoic and serious expression as well; showing himself to be very serious, work ethical and focused. At first in the series after his arrival, Ren is untrusting, aloof and cold towards the others, as shown that he rather prefers to work alone or with his twin sister Ichika. Unlike his sister, he doesn't always instantly get along with his others due to his scary demeanor but when you talk to him, he's very driven in work and is willing to talk to you about your skills and abilities as well as cursed energy and cursed techniques to see what strategies could work best.

While being usually quite and reserved, Ren is shown to be very fierce and shows little to no remorse to any enemies when he faces them. This is shown towards cursed spirits, showing he takes his pent up anger and frustrations out on them as what he learnt from his childhood as it was done to him, his sister Ichika and his mother, always picturing his father and his paternal families faces on these cursed spirits. However, with humans, other jujutsu sorcerers and sometimes curse users, he is slightly more ethical and ends up sparing their life.

Despite being a person who prefers solitude and is unfriendly to everyone at first, Ren truly shows to treasure his twin sister Ichika, who was the one who stood with him and he had defended her too. The two only had each other in their rough and abusive childhood, he shows he truly trusts her and values her opinions as shown when he attempts to be friendlier and kinder with his classmates a little bit later on. After the events of the Sisterhood Exchange Event, Ren notably becomes more sociable and kind, showing himself to smile a bit more and even gaining a sense of humor but still retaining some fragments of his previous distant attitude.

In his cursed beast transformation, it lacks a lot of control as he attacks any cursed spirit and human in sight, even if they are allies. This makes him very wary of his form when others are around him, due to being concerned for their safety and how his cursed beast form could act around others. This cursed beast form has no humanity, as shown that it only wishes to attack others to fuel its desire to hurt others. However, this was caused by a spell by an unknown cursed spirit and when it was undone by Akina Tengan, Ren gained more control of his cursed beast form and was able to use his form without hurting others out of his control.

Due to spending a majority of his childhood in solitary, having his sister and himself been denied a normal childhood due to his cursed beast powers that he inherited from his maternal side of the family, in flashbacks have shown, which caused him to be locked up for years in a room and often put in a cage to be physically, emotionally and mentally abused by his family has lead him to often go into emotional outbursts, panic attacks or even goes into violent outbursts of yelling and being physically violent. When he snaps out it however and takes time to calm down, he apologizes sincerely for his behavior as he knows he doesn't want to be like his father.

Ren shows himself to harbor an intense hatred and holds a grudge towards his father and his paternal side of the family, due to the abuse he himself along with his twin sister Ichika and his mother Asami as well his fathers treatment towards her (plus his affair, resulting in the birth of his half sister, Fumika Okane). He shows intense hatred in his features, knowing well some of them result from his father and when people comment on him looking or even in worse cases, acting like his father, his psychological scars tend to show as intense moments of anger when he snaps at the person.

Despite his many flaws, Ren shows himself to be a truly kind and accepting person who truly looks out for those he holds close to him. This is shown when Ichika had even discovered and accepted herself for being homosexual, Ren and his mom had always known, showing Ren had inherited his observant personality from his mother. He has quoted himself that he can tell what a person is like with just a few hours of observation and when he hears how they talk about their values too, he has shown himself to be correct several times throughout the series when observing a person in front of him.

Despite seeming aloof, Ren does not always mean to be unfriendly when you first meet him as he never truly learnt social cues and constantly struggles with them; however when he meets his classmates and the second years at Jujutsu Tech, he learns carefully and shows he is willing to learn how to make friends and how to communicate with other people properly. He shows himself to get along pretty well with Yuji and Megumi, despite their personalities being opposite of each other, Ren can see that their personalities compliment each others.

Something that Ichika and the others learn about Ren, is when he has his mind on a goal, he will give it all and he will stop at nothing until he achieves it. This is shown when he wants for his father to pay for his crimes and all the pain he caused to himself, Ichika and their mother. This obsession becomes stronger to the point, where it can cloud his vision but it's because of Ichika's influence where he holds himself back at times from making bad decisions that could possibly get himself or others in bad situations, injured or killed. He however, still mercilessly slaughters a member of his paternal family or a cursed spirit, he wants to destroy the Akukagi clan and all of his father's legacy of his crimes and deeds. He believes that his hatred could never be erased, the only thing that could truly bring him happiness would to destroy everything his father built and kill him too.

This hatred eventually caused him to fall into madness, even his father's mere presence could bother him and while talking to him he could barely contain his anger. Unfortunately in his animosity, towards his father, he unintentionally could act just like him like his anger y outbursts when triggered by a traumatic memory and knowing how to hurt his enemies where it truly hurts, physically, emotionally and psychologically; something that his father would often use against his enemies.

Due to all the abuse he endured in his youth, Ren developed very low self esteem and a bit of an inferiority complex. He holds quite a pessimistic view of life and is shown to be more sensitive than he lets others know, showing that despite trying his best to take constructive criticism well he can sometimes hold himself from crying due to not wanting anyone to see him cry. Just like his twin sister, he also developed Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder, as well as also Bipolar Disorder. He is also neurodivergent, being Autistic (just like Ichika as well).

Internally, he often believes that he's not worthy of anything and that inside he is a monster who is not worthy of love, affection and of a normal life and childhood; at times he believes that he cannot be the person he wants to be or that he is too much like his father for redemption. He feels angry at himself and guilty knowing Ichika went through a lot when he wasn't there for her when she was being abused just like him, they were once very close in childhood but their relationship only faltered once but grew closer after it. They were very close in their childhood and are still very close now, as shown that one cannot live without the other. They kept their vow of escaping their father and his families clutches together and live the life they've always wanted.

After living away from his father and the paternal side of his family, he was at first weary about having people who are loving and supportive around him as the feeling was foreign but eventually he grew to love it. He became more social, kinder and with the influence of his friends, he carried less guilt of his past actions and tried his harder to become more confident in himself and his skills. He shows himself to be a very talented artist and is good at writing poetry and manuscripts, something that was praised by his sensei Akina Tengan.

Unintentionally, Ren can carry some tendencies of arrogance but is unaware of it until someone points it out, which he tries to be more aware of and fix, along with other mistakes despite being sensitive to criticism. Ren also shows himself to be calm and composed under pressure and under chaotic situations, but sometimes can be quite anxious when he doesn't know what to do in a situation he hasn't been in before.

Around his found family, he truly loves and cherishes everyone despite taking him time to warm up to everyone truly. He shows that after observing everyone, he knows what makes everyone truly unique and what he admires about them. He shows how he truly tries to learn about those close to him and tries to listen to others to help them with the best of his abilities if they need it.

Despite everything he has gone through, Ren is just a teenage boy who wants to live a normal and peaceful life with those whom he holds close to in his heart and to just heal properly from the trauma he endured. He doesn't know if he can forgive if his father for everything he endured but he's trying the best to forgive himself and forgive others to be free from the past. Ren shows that he loves helping others and making them happy in his own way, he wants to be a good person and is an artist, who sees the world as it is and what it could be.

He has a bit of experience dealing with cursed spirits during his childhood as he fought against them in his full form when his family members wanted to see how far he would go.

Ren wields an immense amount of cursed energy and has quite a knowledge of a varieties and types of cursed techniques and the people who wield them, due to being isolated and reading books often in his childhood. In training, he gains more experience in battle and he is shown to be very strong physically and mentally in dealing with such a job being a jujutsu sorcerer.

As shown in battle multiple times, while Ren is at first unable to control his cursed form, he shows he needs no reliance on his form as his strength, speed, reflexes and training in battle is enough to defeat Grade 2 cursed spirits and opponents.

Ren is capable of changing his own DNA to form into a giant wolf like cursed beast, inheriting this special ability from his mothers side of the family. Ren is able to alter his DNA, turning his hair from black to dark blue before or after transformation. It is hypothesized by Shoko Ieiri, that this is done by unzipping his DNA and rearranging it, as shown that this his wolf form can change fur color showing if he has lost his humanity or is still able to control it. It is shown that the aggressive behavior when he is overwhelmed is psychological due to his past and how he was treated due to his abilities. When he gains better control, Ren shows capability of transforming completely, or only partially. When partially transformed his irises start to glow a dark blue color, his scelera turn black, and occasionally his skin also turns dark blue. He has excellent control over her cursed energy and is able to pour into cursed tools when needed on missions when he is unable to activate his beast form.

However in the beginning, when he transforms into this creature, he losses all aspect of his humanity until he later controls this ability and when he does so, he's able to transform and is able to control his form. He shows a strong dislike using his abilities to harm people unless he absolutely must do so. With time, practice and skill, one can morph faster and with more efficiency, Ren is able to phase into his cursed beast form mid-jump.

His eyes are capable of seeing in total darkness as well as seeing certain supernatural phenomenon; as well as the auras of humans, jujutsu sorcerers, curse users and cursed spirits. He also has an acute sense of smell that can allow him to sense the emotional state of others and has shown to be very accomplished in track others by scent. His sense of hearing is also extremely well-developed, as he is able to hear a person's heartbeat and use it to determine if they're lying and can hear whispered conversations from a far distance, making it easy for his packmates to communicate with him from afar.

Ren is capable of growing claws and/or fangs as both a human and in his cursed beast form at will through total or partial transformation. His claws and teeth are extremely sharp and tough, enabling him to rend through a variety of substances including fabric, wood, cinder block, and even some metals. He uses this ability to allow him to exorcise curses by channeling his cursed energy into his fangs and teeth and attacking cursed spirits with them.

This ability allows Ren to fully heal at an abnormal rate, faster than any human being can. The extent of this regeneration is very powerful as shown that small cuts and minor injuries heal within seconds while larger, more damaging injuries, such as broken bones, blood loss and furthermore to heal within several days. However, after receiving more training to control his abilities, they start to be able to heal within minutes of broken bones, blood loss and furthermore to heal within minutes. This ability may extend to self-resurrection/resuscitation, as Ren shows he is capable of coming back to life seemingly of his own power.

On rare occasions, he can accidentally give others his ability to humans, jujutsu sorcerers, curse users and sometimes cursed spirits by scratching them deeply with his claws. Ren however prefers not to use this method if he can help it, since he knows the likelihood that it can be fatal to its recipient.

This can have a severe affect when he stares in their eyes for too long as the illusion of them of them turning into a beast can cause them to go into madness. Ren can turn ability this on by his own will.

This ability allows Ren to view the memories of another person by piercing the back of their neck with his claws and entering their mind. However, this process is typically only performed by very skilled Cursed Beast sorcerers and very few have this technique, due to the amount of control and practice it takes to do it without causing paralysis or death to person whose mind they're entering. This ritual can also be used to modify or remove a person's memories, which Ren has learned to performed these aspects later in the story.

With this technique, Ren possesses the ability to absorb the pain of animals, humans, and supernatural creatures by touching the person's skin with his hands. This ability manifests by a darkening of the veins in his hands and fingers, which will grow up his arms and into his chest, neck, and face as he siphons away more and more of the being's pain. This is an ability that Ren uses frequently to relieve the suffering of those around him, especially if they are severely injured humans. At first, Ren was only able to essentially "take the edge off" of the pain experienced by the person he was helping, but he has recently demonstrated the ability to completely absorb another's pain. This ability however was only shown later in the story when Ren first uses it.

They are surrounded by the past cursed beast users forms that chase the victim and on Ren's command, he allows the beast to release the victim or they can maul the victim, letting them be eaten alive until the only thing of them left behind are their bones and some meat carcasses.

He shows himself to help others in his own way and wants to make his friends and those close to him feel special and happy, showing he is truly empathetic, compassionate and caring.

Ren has a highly attuned sense of empathy for animals, humans, jujutsu sorcerers, curse users and cursed spirits and generally disregards any worry about himself in favor of focusing on how others are feeling. He can intuitively sense the emotions of others, especially when he uses these instincts in conjunction with his ability to interpret the chemosignals in their scents and listening to their heart rates with his heightened senses. When people around him are happy, Ren can feel himself become cheerful, optimistic and ecstatic; if they are scared, he will comfort them; and if they are hurt, Ren will do anything to relieve their pain.

Despite him coming off recluse and reserved, especially as one who doesn't seem to have many friend, Ren can truly be loyal to those he holds close to his heart. This is shown when he defends them when someone tries to talk anything negatively about them or when someone attacks them how he is ready to defend them.

Ren is shown to be a quick learner, however while he can experience trials and errors when he is learning, he can take time to overcome them however he is truly willing to learn from his trials and errors.

Ren is skilled with battle tactician as he read books on battle tactics and showed this when he is creating strategies and how they play out, even having backup plans for himself in case his plans and strategies fail.

With formal training with his teachers as well as training with his classmates and upperclassmen, Ren shows great skills and talent fighting both armed and unarmed. His fighting style makes use of his Cursed Beast abilities and instincts, as well as gymnastics and a brawling fighting style.

Ren's speed has been praised and noticed a lot due to his cursed beast form, making him faster than his twin sister Ichika Fujimura and Yuji Itadori. This is not just in running and his abilities but thinking as well and learning as well.

Ren's body is extremely agile and flexible, he can dodge many attacks from opponents as a human and in cursed beast form.

Throughout the series, Ren has demonstrated a strong ability to endure a great deal of pain, due mostly to his empathic nature and his insistence that he take on the pain of others so they do not have to do so.

Ren has shown to possess both a great eidetic and photographic memory, how he can recognize people inside and outside of his cursed beast form and as well as remember what happens in his cursed beast form. With his heightened senses, he can remember even the smallest senses and with his photographic memory he shows great memorization in maps and building structures, demonstrated when he names several buildings. This is also shows in how he studied veterinary books and shows human medical and veterinary knowledge.

Due to his background, Ren has shown to have keen observation skills of his surroundings and the people around him. He can quite a good judge of character but this can also make him very suspicious and cautious of others.

Despite living his life sheltered and isolated from the world, he has read a lot of books of the world of jujutsu, as well as understanding cursed energy and the different types of cursed spirits that lurk in this world. This shows when he finally leaves his home and uses his knowledge to his advantage but admits that he still has much yet to learn.

Ren has read books on human medical and animal/veterinary knowledge, during which time he has developed a strong working knowledge of animal and human anatomy, physiology, and diseases.

Ren has shown himself to be skilled in making food, including baking and such.

Ren is naturally reserved due to his past and his introverted nature, however this can hold him back from making true connections to others as well as working with others in teams.

Due to his stoic expression and lone wolf personality, he can come off as aloof and unfriendly at first but when you get to know him, he is truly a kindhearted and caring person.

• 𝘗𝘰𝘰𝘳 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘌𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘤:

At first, Ren has trouble working with others due to being reserved and mainly used to working with himself or his twin sister Ichika as he would usually get into disagreements and arguments with others. However, he learns how to work with others as time passes.

• 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘣𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯:

This is a trait that is most well known in Ren that comes with his determined and hardworking nature.

• 𝘈𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦:

In the beginning, Ren's arrogant nature along with his reserved nature was very strong but after learning to work with others, this trait mellows down drastically.

• 𝘖𝘷𝘦𝘳-𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦:

This stems from his past as he learned to rely on no one but himself and his twin sister Ichika Fujimura, which stems into his lone wolf personality. He struggles to ask for help and showing weakness and vulnerability until later on in the story.

• 𝘚𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘊𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭:

Ren is very self critical and he can be very hard on himself no matter how big or small of a mistake he makes. He hates himself as he knows that he looks like his father and carries noticeable traits of him.

• 𝘓𝘰𝘸 𝘚𝘦𝘭𝘧-𝘌𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘦𝘮:

Due to her past and everything he and his twin Ichika had endured, Ren developed very low self esteem that can with psychological scars that took a very long time for him to recover and heal from, alongside complex post traumatic stress disorder, major depressive disorder, borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder and when anyone compares him to his father. With the support and the love with those around him, he starts to slowly but steadily recover and heal from everything he endured.

• 𝘏𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘭𝘺 𝘚𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯:

Despite not looking like it, Ren is actually a very highly sensitive person and this shows in how he tries to take constructive criticism but can be very sensitive to criticism of any kind and can be sensitive to physical sensory input and emotional and mental sensory is much stronger than an average persons due to his cursed beast abilities and his advances senses which can cause him to be overwhelmed quite easily.

• 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘗𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘶𝘮𝘢:

Ren often tries to repress his trauma and the pain and scars that it gave him, physical, emotional, mental and psychological which can make him isolate himself and develop unhealthy coping mechanisms, which eventually showed to be more harmful than helpful along the story.

• 𝘌𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘝𝘶𝘭𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺:

Ren shows to struggle with emotional vulnerability due to his past and the scars he received, however he shows that he is willing to trust his twin sister Ichika with his vulnerabilities due to their bond and eventually learns to trust others as he opens up about what happened to him and Ichika, working up the courage to move forward.

• 𝘗𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺:

Ren had struggled keeping control of his beast form due to emotional and mental barriers and scars that prevented him from doing so, Ren at times suffers with occasional bouts of amnesia with shifting but remembers afterwards.

• 𝘝𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴:

Due to his clairvoyant abilities he inherited from his mother, Ren can experience debilitating visions and audio "hallucinations"; as a reattempting to communicate with him. He has had these since he was a child.

• 𝘔𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘤 𝘛𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘳:

Sometimes Ren's cursed beast form can be triggered by listening to certain classical music. It is currently unknown if this has been cured or not in the other beast forms.

Despite having a fondness for plants, Ren shows himself to be less than talented and skilled in gardening and taking care of plants.
