𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐅𝐄𝐖 𝐃𝐀𝐘𝐒 were complete hell for lorenzo. he had to deal with so many questions from his friends which drove him insane. whats worse is that he knew that the moment he walked through the doors of clear rivers high, he was going to have to deal with much more than just questions from his friends.

usually, enzo would walk in with lacy right by his side. every. single. day. it was basically part of his routine. other than dealing with her bullshit and all her stupid friends, but thats besides the point.
the point is that enzo was alone. everyone would know something went wrong because lacy was probably already in there flaunting her new boyfriend that probably cant even count to ten.

for the first time in three years, enzo walked in to school alone. he couldn't even take a breath before he felt the eyes of basically everybody in school on him. he didn't know what to do because he was so used to just putting his arm around lacy and walking to his locker. sure, people would still look at him, but atleast he knew people weren't silently judging him. he flung open his locker and starting putting all sorts of books into his backpack.

               𝐦𝐫𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥'𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬

                                   𝟏𝟎:𝟐𝟎

𝐉𝐔𝐋𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃 as lorenzo walked through the door and sat right down. she knew something was up. now, julie doesn't talk to lorenzo that often, but when she did, he was really cool. she knew something had to have happened because he didn't walk in and immediately smile at every person in the room. he walked in and went directly to his seat all the way in the back of the class.

she had no idea why she noticed all of this about him, but she did. julianna was quickly snapped back into reality when she heard her teacher's voice. "okay, i need you guys to all separate into groups of two."

now, julianna would LOVE group assignments, if it wasn't for the fact that NONE of her friends were in this class with her. most of the group assignments they've done in class, she'd find herself working with some lazy person who doesn't do shit. she never picked her partners, she would just wait and see whos last to be chosen and just go with them.

after like a minute of looking around, she felt somebody sit next to her. she turned her head to look at who it was and met the eyes of lorenzo vernon himself. "uh, hi, can i sit here?" enzo spoke, making julie hesitate before finally nodding. "yeah, sure, i don't mind."

"thanks" enzo nodded. he reached into his bookbag, pulling out his waterbottle while julie opened her notebook. she was completely ready to do all the work, expecting him to just sit there. "alright, so, what are we working on?" enzo asked before looking over her shoulder at the notebook. julie looked at him like he was the rarest species of men on planet earth and then back at the notebook. "you're gonna help?" she asked the boy who was already so confused.

"well, im pretty sure thats the point of a group project, no?" he laughed quietly, taking the notebook from her and writing down his name and a bunch of bullet points beneath it. "alright, so, we need to write a four-page essay on how love effects two people." julie was internally screaming, but she laughed it off. " m'kay, ill do the third and fourth page, if thats cool with you." enzo took a sip of his water. "yes, okay, perfect, ill do first and second." julie nodded and took a piece of lint off her sweatshirt.

lorenzo looked at the sweatshirt and then back at her in a quick glance. he looked back at the notebook and was about to start writing until he realized, he didn't even know her full name. "is julie your full name?" enzo asked, mentally kicking himself for not knowing. "no, its julianna. julianna feyrer." she informed him. enzo nodded and took the pen. "pretty name" enzo spoke while writing it down. "thank you" julianna smiled and looked around.
