I have not done a form on Esperanza yet. Mainly because I don't want to, because I don't feel like it. But also because I things to be shown slowly, and the truth about Esperanza to be revealed throughout the story to keep readers hooked. I also wanna make her a bit of an enigmatic character, to make her a bit more intresting. But I AM gonna give a good bit of background information about her character.

ππππ ππ πππ ππππππππππππ ππππ ππππ? Her father was borderline abusive towards her because, well, she was a girl. Her mother was assaulted and murdered when she was ten. Her brother Raphael is ten years older then her. The day he turned eighteen he left without a second thought and Esperanza hasn't seen her brother since. She resents her father for the abuse, and feels hurt and anger at her brother for leaving her alone with him. When Esperanza was her father was arrested for reasons that will be revealed later on in the story.
ππππ πππ πππ πππππππππ ππππ? Her and her family are originally from San Juan Puerto Rico, but migrated to Queens, New York when Esperanza was four. English was her second language and she would often translate for her family. Esperanza has a bit of mix between a New York accent and a Spanish one, but the New York accent is a bit more prominent and you have to pay attention to notice it. Esperanza grew up poor, taking care of her often, high, or drunk, or more often than not drunken and high, father. Some days she was lucky and he was to high, and drunk to hurt her physically. And some days....she wasn't.
ππππ πππππ πππ ππππππ ππ πππ ππππ...? Esperanza was desperate to escape her father, but she knew that he could find her. One day an Army group stopped by her school, trying to get kids to volunteer as soldiers for the army. She saw it as her opportunity to escape, and she took it. A few years later she was honorably discharged due to...injury, amongst other things. When she was Twenty-four she applied for the Police Academy and became Cadet Esperanza Francesca Gonzalez. Now eight years later, and she's CAPTAIN, Esperanza Francesca Gonzalez. Esperanza doesn't talk much about...well anything in her past. After all the past stays past...right?
