Prologue ―
Metallic Blood

December 29th, 2009
Yekaterinburg, Russia

Doctor Ivanov pushed his glasses up onto his face as he was on a very loud squeaky elevator going down to the bottom floor of an abandoned building. He looked to his left and right and saw armed men standing next to him. Ivanov was a very small man, considering he was old. He was shaking in fear as the elevator came to a stop.

"podpisyvaytes' na menya"(Follow me) the man said, leading Ivanov down a long corridor. Ivanov looked at the metal walls around him, he was shaking as he held his medical briefcase close to his chest. They stopped once they reached a big metal, one of the armed men stepping in front of Ivanov.

He opened the door and there stood a tall American man. "Ah, Ivanov! Welcome!" he greeted, walking over to the small old man and taking his hand into his, giving him a firm handshake. "So, we have two important patients for you to check on before we take them over to our American facility" He continued to speak, leading Ivanov over to two eight-year-old children.

A nurse handed Ivanov a file, he opened it and pushed his glasses up further. "Uhm, itz the girl Svetlana?" He asked, looking over at the taller man. "Yes, and the boy next to her is Aleksandr, her twin brother" He smiled standing behind the two children.

Svetlana had dark red hair, blue eyes, and pale skin, her brother looked the same but with brown hair and tanner skin. Ivanov cleared his throat before sitting down on a chair in front of him, examining the small body limbs. "These children are quite small for their age" Ivanov stated, looking over at the taller man.

"They refused to eat" he lied, but that is what Pierce was known for, his lies. The old man nodded before standing up and opening his briefcase. "Can youz open your mouth" He spoke his accent thick as he talked to Aleksandr. Aleksandr opened his mouth, while Ivanov flashed a flashlight down his throat.

He finished the children's checkup before being walked out of the room they were held with Pierce. "Ivanov, do you have a family?" Pierce asked, raising an eyebrow at Ivanov. "No sir, I have no family" He gave him and weak smile before Pierce smiled back at him. "Good," Pierce said before taking a gun out, pointing it at his head, and pulling the trigger.

Ivanov's body went limp as it hit the floor with a thud, making Pierce smile to himself sickly.

Meanwhile, Svetlana and her twin brother sat on a metal medical table, their eyes staring at the door and Pirece walked in, a wicked smile on his face.

That was six years ago, and Svetlana and her twin brother Aleksandr no longer belonged in the hands of Hydra or The Red Room. They now belonged in the hands of their mother Natasha Romanoff, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who was known by her hero name, The Black Widow. Svetlana now attended a school made for mutants called "The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning" which was funded by Tony Stark.

Svetlana was currently studying more about her and Wanda Maximoff's powers, since both of them had the same powers, it was easy for Wanda to help her study her powers. Svetlana believes that their powers were gifted to them through one of the infinity stones, thus making them Mutants. 

Her brother however believes they were born with the Mutant gene because of his power, he was able to control the weather which Xavier called Atmokinesis, two other girls in the school had these powers and they're in much higher classes than the Romanoff twins since they were freshman.

Svetlana was happy where she was, even making a few friends with some of the kids of the Avengers, but what she never expected was a dividing war between the Avengers and finding out Captain America had a son working for the remaining Hydra members....
