The smell of burning flesh was pungent throughout the plantation house. It made Rhea's nose turn up in disgust as she descended down the stairs from her room. It's times like these when she despises her heightened senses because human her probably wouldn't smell it as much. She knows she feeds on the blood of humans in order to survive, but, it's not exactly like she enjoys the smell of burning flesh; it makes her sick. It's not a delightful smell and it's one you can't forget once you've smelt it, it's stays with you and it's always easily identified due to its distinct smell.
"Ah, I love the smell of burning flesh in the morning." She said sarcastically, joining the rest of the Mikaelson family, "It really sets the mood for the day."
Hayley was reading upstairs and followed after Rhea the second she had heard her speak to find her, Rebekah and Klaus talking in the foyer. Rebekah only pouted at Klaus, "I cannot believe you disposed of those vampires without me. You know how I love to set things on fire!"
Klaus smirked in amusement, "Was I supposed to leave them in the front yard to rot?"
Rhea made a face, "Yes, you're always talking about how to send a message to your enemies. What better way to send a message than to leave their comrades in our front yard to rot?"
"I knew I liked you for a reason, little gremlin." Klaus pointed at her and she rolled her eyes at the nickname before shrugging his shoulders, "Besides, they were my responsibility. They attacked the helpless pregnant girl who's carrying my child!"
Rebekah rolled her eyes this time, "Oh, I am so moved by your new-found sense of fatherly duties towards the werewolf carrying your hybrid bun in her oven."
"The werewolf would like to know what the plan is." Hayley spoke up, everyone's heads looking at her while she slightly shrunk in her spot, clutching one of Elijah's journals to her chest tightly.
Klaus smirked, "Well, that depends what plan you mean, love—my plan for global domination, Rhea's plan to find Elijah, or Rebekah's plan to find love in a cruel, cruel world?" He teased and Rebekah took a pencil from the desk beside her and threw it in Klaus' direction. Klaus caught it easily before it could embed itself in his face.
Hayley sighed, "Rhea's plan to rescue Elijah. You know, the good brother? The one who is now in the possession of your mortal enemy after you stabbed him in the back?"
Klaus smirked, "In the front, if we're being specific."
Rhea let out a growl, "The specifics are not necessary, Klaus." She said to him, not really enjoying thinking about how he hurt her soulmate.
"You three said that you would get him back. So, is there a plan, or what?" Hayley pressed again.
"Okay. Well, firstly, Marcel is not my mortal enemy—he's my friend. Albeit one who is unaware that I'm trying to sabotage his hold over the supernatural community of the French Quarter, but, a friend nonetheless. And secondly, I daggered Elijah in order to gain Marcel's trust. If I had known he would place my brother in the hands of a particularly nasty teenage witch, I certainly would have weighed my options a bit differently." He explained before he turned to Rhea and gestures for her to speak, "And thirdly—Rhea, please."
Rhea's eyes rolled, "And thirdly, the plan, as you have demanded, is for Klaus to simply ask Marcel for Elijah back." She answered dryly, not feeling one bit hopeful about the plan. There was no way it would work.
The werewolf's eyes widened, "That's... that's not the whole plan, is it?" She asked incredulously.
Rebekah scoffed, "Please! Klaus may be a miserable excuse for a sibling, but there is none more diabolical."
"And that's only the plan A, love!" Klaus exclaimed with a devious smirk on his face, "There's always a plan B."
Hayley looked intrigued, "And what's plan B?"
Klaus' devious smirk turned into a grin as he answered, "War."
Rebekah and Rhea walked through the Quarter as the hybrid called Klaus on her cell phone before they reached the Voodoo Shop. "For God's sake, Klaus, how long does it take to ask a simple question?" Rhea snapped at him.
"Much longer than you'd think, considering the answer was, as expected, 'No'." Klaus responded and she scowled at him, cursing Marcel harshly in her mind, but it was an expected response from him anyway—she shouldn't of been surprised, "Marcel's man, Thierry, is suspicious. He thinks Rebekah killed ten nightwalkers."
Rebekah feigned offence as she overheard the conversation happening, "Well, that's a lie! I only killed eight. Should I make Thierry the ninth?"
"Marcel is playing friendly. We can't kill the favorite son, or he'll catch onto us." Klaus scolded her despite wanting to do the same thing.
"So, war it is, then?" Rhea suggested.
"Indeed." Klaus confirms and Rhea can't help but let out a groan of excitement. She doesn't know Marcel, the only thing she does know is what she's heard from others and seen from a distance; but, what she does know, is that she can't wait to rip him a new one for keeping Elijah from her. Klaus chuckled at her, "Do you know what to do with the witch?"
Rebekah smiled manically, "I believe we do."
"Good. You manage Sophie Deveraux. I'll take care of the next step." Klaus informed them before he hung up the phone.
Rebekah sent Rhea a look, "We giving them Hell?"
Rhea made a face in return, "Obviously." Rhea then turned around when she smelt the witch's familiar scent, seeing Sophie who was finally approaching them from down the street, "Oh, so glad you could make it. Elijah only lies daggered and rotting and I only continue to die as we speak whilst you dawdle about." Rhea greeted her sarcastically.
Sophie gave her a flat look, "You're lucky I came at all." She told them and Rhea sent her a warning growl for her attitude, "What do you want?"
"Hayley was attacked last night by Marcel's crew because somebody told him there was a werewolf in the Quarter. She only made one stop. Whoever saw her here ratted her out." Rebekah stated in a calm voice, "Watch and learn."
Rebekah and Rhea turned and walked into the shop, and Sophie followed them in. Inside the shop, Katie emerged from a back room with a box, and smiled when she sees Sophie.
"Hey, Soph." She greeted the other witch.
"Hey, Katie." Sophie said back nervously.
Rebekah walked over and touched one of the necklaces hanging from the stand, "That's filled with marigold—great for attracting the opposite sex. It would look awesome on you!" Katie tells Rebekah.
Rebekah looked up and saw Rhea smirk in amusement and wink at her teasingly while she deadpanned, "I very seriously doubt that."
"We're looking for something else, actually." Rhea informed her, causing the witch to look at her while the hybrid lazily shrugged, "Do you have any... wolfsbane, perhaps?"
Katie looked confused, "Wolfsbane? Why would you want that?"
Rhea rushed at her, her hybrid face showing and grabbing her by the neck while Rebekah watched with amusement, "Don't play cute, Katie. You sold a werewolf wolfsbane last night and then coincidentally she was almost attacked right after. Us werewolves are a little protective over each other so let's start telling the truth, shall we?"
Rhea quickly picked her up and slammed her flat onto her back on a table, "Rhea!" Sophie screamed out, completely horrified by the violence occurring in front of her while Rebekah looked on proudly.
Katie gasped out in pain, "I just sold a werewolf some herbs. That's all!"
"I think you're lying to us, Katie. I suggest you answer her question honestly." Rebekah warned from the sidelines, "Otherwise Rhea will have no choice but to throw you around your own shop like a rag doll."
"And I'll enjoy it." Rhea smirked, leaning down into her ear.
Katie only continued to choke and cough, looking over at her friend for help, "Sophie—"
Sophie sighed uncomfortably, "Just answer the question, Katie. Please." She begged.
Both Rebekah and Rhea gave the other witch an expectant look and she sighed, finally relenting, "Yes. I told someone, but you don't understand. I—I love him." Her eyes were practically pleading them.
Rhea's grip around her throat tightened, "And tell me, who is this vampire boyfriend of yours? Or should I count to three?"
Katie doesn't even hesitate to wait for her to count down as she shakes out, "Thierry!"
Rhea smiled, letting go, "Thank you." She said as she left the store, Rebekah following after her, leaving Sophie to deal with Katie back inside.
Rebekah called Klaus almost immediately and after a few rings, he answers, "Well?"
"You were right about the traitor. Luckily, she's just a kid and she doesn't know anything about us and what we're up to. Do you want to hear the part that's gonna please you the most?" Rebekah informed him.
"Oh, do tell!"
"She's in love with someone in Marcel's inner circle. Guess who it is?" Rebekah smirked with amusement.
Klaus seemed pleased as he responded, "Right-hand-man type, favors silly caps?"
"Two points for you. Thierry is sleeping with the enemy." Rhea remarked with a laugh.
"Well, that means he just unwittingly became the key to our entire plan." Klaus decided.
"I told you you'd be pleased." Rebekah told him.
"Oh, to be young and in love in a city where witches and vampires are at war. How very tragic."
It was later in the day, and Sophie, Rebekah, Rhea and Klaus were in the study talking about their plan to be able to get Elijah back, "Are you out of your mind? No way!" Sophie exclaimed incredulously.
"It's very simple—we need you to perform a teeny, tiny locator spell to help us find my soulmate." Rhea elaborated with annoyance at Sophie's disagreement. It's not even a suggestion at this point, it's a demand, "The longer we wait, the closer I get to dying and I don't really feel like kicking the bucket just yet."
Sophie's eyes widened, "Soulmate?" She choked.
"What? Did you think this was just a birthmark?" Rhea questioned as she moved her shirt to reveal the desiccation on her chest that was spreading down to her elbow.
"Even if I wanted to help, you know that witches who practice magic in this town get caught, and then they get killed." Sophie reminded the hybrid.
Klaus rolled his eyes dramatically, "Yes, about that. It seems you left out a crucial detail when we made our deal—Marcel's secret weapon, the way he knows when a witch is using magic..."
Rebekah held her hand up to her shoulder height, "Girl about yay high, cute as a button, anger issues?" She described.
Sophie looked shocked as if she realised who they were talking about, "Davina? Where have you seen her?"
"I don't know. The little brat erased my memory right after she threw me out a window with her bloody mind." Rebekah answered with annoyance, crossing her arms over chest, still bothered by the fact that she was bested by a sixteen year old.
"Let me cut to the chase. Davina has Elijah. You witches—I assume—want to get Davina away from Marcel. We don't know where she is. Ergo, we need magic." Klaus said.
Sophie shook her head, "Davina would sense it."
"Unless, of course, another witch—say, a traitor to the cause, Katie for example—was to perform much more powerful magic at the same time. That would create a smokescreen, concealing your very small spell from Davina." Rhea suggested.
Sophie looked shocked at the suggestion, "Katie doesn't deserve to die."
Klaus angrily slammed his hands on the table and stood up to face her, "Sophie Deveraux! You're in no position to be so principled. You can't win a war without a few strategic losses, no matter how regrettable they may be." He snapped at her, "How many times have the vampires been one step ahead, known something they shouldn't? Your sister, executed in the public square for practicing magic—who knew she'd be caught? Did she even attempt to flee?"
Realisation dawned upon her face, "She was caught hiding in a cargo hold of a freighter before it set sail down the Mississippi."
Klaus smirked as he felt like she was falling into his hands, "And who, pray tell—of Marcel's valued inner circle—manages his business at the docks?"
Sophie sighed in defeat, "Katie's boyfriend, Thierry."
After Sophie had left, Klaus was sat at a desk perusing some papers while Rhea sat across from
him reading a book and drinking a glass of wine. His phone rang and he quickly answered it, putting it on speaker so they could speak freely, "Little sister!" Klaus greeted.
"Well, brother, I believe I've made certain Marcel will be properly distracted tonight." Rebekah stated.
Rhea looked intrigued, an eyebrow raised as she spoke, "Do we want to know?"
"Let's just say his attention will not be on us." A smirk could be heard on Rebekah's voice, "I did my bit. What are you doing to ensure Elijah's safe return?"
"Currently, I'm preparing insurance against the tenderhearted." Klaus answered while Rhea looked intrigued herself for the answer. She had been ignoring the world the last few hours so she had no idea what Klaus had been up to in that time.
"Meaning?" Rebekah drawled.
"We need proper motivation for Katie to cast a powerful spell tonight. I'm creating that motivation. Marcel has ordered a rousting of the witches." Klaus explained happily, "And I, in turn, have arranged for things to go tragically wrong by compelling a vampire to continue to attack Katie that Thierry has no choice but to intervene and protect his love. But, there are other crimes which he'll be less inclined to so easily forgive... such as killing a vampire, for example. That would be unforgivable. If Katie hopes to save her one true love from Marcel's punishment? Well, a rescue mission like that will require something positively magical. But, then... what's worth dying for, if not love?"
Rhea wants to say that she doesn't agree with the plan—she doesn't agree with Thierry being the soul of their master plan of destruction because he looks like the type of guy to just walk over and pick up a pigeon with his bare hands, and that picture doesn't sit right with her—nor does that hat of his. To her, he doesn't look like he can be of any use, let alone be the idiot correctly to their liking. She understands that he's the favourite son of their enemy; therefore the best way to get to Marcel, and Elijah after that, so, she keeps her mouth shut.
Instead, she smirks, playing along because she needs to have faith in Klaus that he will get Elijah to her, "You truly are diabolical. I'm impressed; if only you put that much effort into keeping your family whole in the first place as you do this."
Klaus only made a face at her while Rebekah spoke, "I told you. There's none more diabolical than Niklaus."
"Oh, don't worry, I'm well aware." Rhea mused as she crosses her arms, "After all, I wouldn't be here as a hybrid if it weren't for his diabolicalness. You remember that night, don't you?"
"I was trying to make a point, little gremlin! If it weren't for it being your life on the line, I doubted Bonnie would try and find the solution to my problem. She needed it unless she would be able to live with her best friend's blood on her hands." Klaus defended and she simply rolled her eyes at him.
"Whatever. Let's just get ready for this stupid party tonight." Rhea scoffed as she stood up from her seat, "I'm itching to get Elijah back."
"And you will." Klaus assured her, "Whatever it takes."
"What do you mean you haven't heard from him?" Rhea questioned Caroline over the phone as she entered her room and closed the door behind him, "Klaus may not have given him his freedom, but, he's not even looking for him. Tyler can come home."
A deep sigh was heard from Caroline, "I've been calling him nonstop and keep getting his voicemail." She told her best friend, "He hasn't been calling me back at all and I'm worried."
"Well, as much as I hate to admit it, Tyler can take care of himself." Rhea muttered to Caroline in an attempt to calm her down, "But, if you do hear of his whereabouts, let me know and I'll drag his ass kicking and screaming back to Mystic Falls for you."
Caroline chuckled, "Thanks, Rhea. But, I can take care of this, you shouldn't be worrying about bringing him back to me." She responded, "You need to worry about bringing Elijah back before you desiccate. I won't have my best friend die before she marries her soulmate—it's not fair!"
It was Rhea's turn to sigh as she looked at herself in the mirror and ran a hand through her hair, wincing lightly at how sore her shoulder felt, "Yeah, I'm working on that. Believe me." She frowned, "I have to finish getting ready for this stupid party thing. Unfortunately, I need to attend as its for a ploy to get him back."
"Mikaelson behaviour and all that." She commented, "I wish I could be there to help." Rhea could almost see the frown/pout that Caroline would've been sporting on her face.
"Oh, no. The people here are a whole different league compared to what we were dealing with in Mystic Falls. It's way too dangerous." Rhea shook her head. The vampires are older and way more dangerous, and the witches are in a whole different ball park compared to just Bonnie, "I'll call you later, okay? I love you."
"Okay. Love you, too." Caroline says as she hung up the phone, leaving Rhea staring at herself once more.
Rhea, Rebekah and Klaus entered the party, taking in the dark, wild atmosphere. Acrobats were performing all around them, dancers handle exotic animals, and confetti fell upon the party guests. Klaus smiled, "Well, this certainly is a fitting backdrop for tonight's events, I must say." He commented.
Rhea made an impressed face as she spotted Cami enter the party wearing white angel's wings and a vintage white beaded dress. Rebekah looks pleased, but, Klaus' smile fell. Rhea then faced Rebekah, "I'm assuming this was your doing?"
"What's she doing here?" Klaus asked suspiciously, almost angry that she was there in the middle of this.
Rebekah had an amused and proud smirk on her face at her handy work, "What better way to distract Marcel than to put his very human new girl in a room chock full of vampires?" Klaus was clearly very unhappy with her decision to involve Cami, but, Rebekah couldn't care less as she crosses the courtyard to greet Cami. Klaus sighed and follows behind her, as did Rhea, "Hello, darling." Rebekah greeted the human with a smile, "You look precious."
Cami smiled back, glad to see a familiar face, "This party is ridiculous, but, I think I went a bit splashy with this dress." She said looking down at her outfit.
"Nonsense, it's gorgeous." Rhea shook her head, "Very fitting for this type of party."
Cami's eyes brightened at the fact that she recognises another face in a sea full of unfamiliar ones, "Rhea, I didn't know you'd be here."
"Yes, well, my fiancé and his family are very close with Marcel. I'm sure he wouldn't mind the invitation being extended to me in his absence." Rhea said back with a smile.
Cami made a face not realising that she had been interacting with her future family all this time without even knowing it, she then made eye contact with Klaus and nodded at him in acknowledgment as he joined them before she turned back to Rebekah, "Is he the infamous on-again/off-again?"
Klaus chuckled, "He's the brother, actually, and my sister is right." He corrected, "You do look stunning."
Cami blushed at the mistake and the compliment, "You clean up pretty well yourself."
Klaus smiled smugly, "Well, don't be fooled, love. I'm the devil in disguise."
Rebekah hid her disgust while Rhea scoffed at him, "You two chit-chat. We need booze." She said before grabbing onto Rhea's hand and dragging her to the bar, leaving Klaus and Cami alone. She got up to the bar and ordered two glasses of scotch before Marcel joined them at the bar and the Original sighed at the sight of him.
Marcel didn't look impressed, "You trying to be cute, inviting her here?" He asked the blonde, referring to Cami who was dancing with Klaus.
Rebekah eyed her before her gaze returned to Marcel, "I think she's darling. I can tell you fancy her pure heart." Her head cocked to the side, "Perhaps I'll feed it to you?"
Marcel chuckled, "Hmm. Jealousy looks good on you, Bekah." Rhea finally cleared her throat, the sexual tension between them making her uncomfortable since Rebekah was refusing to let her leave. Marcel finally looked over at her, "And who might you be? I don't remember you being on the guest list."
"Maybe not. But, I'm a close friend to the Mikaelsons. Pretty much like family." Rhea explained vaguely, "We just assumed the invitation extended to me, too."
Marcel eyed her, "You see, I've known them a very long time and I've never heard about you." He said.
"Well, that's because she's new to our family." Rebekah stated as she held up Rhea's left hand that held the engagement ring Elijah had proposed to her with, "Let me introduce you to Rhea Lockwood, soon to be Rhea Mikaelson. We would've sent you an invitation to the wedding, but, we thought you were dead so..."
Rhea mused, "And since you're not, feel free to skip the wedding anyway."
Marcel looked in between Rebekah and Rhea, confused and shocked, "Wait... are you two—?" He pointed in between them.
Rhea and Rebekah looked at each other, realising he thought that they were engaged before they broke out in laughter, "Oh, no, you silly man." Rebekah shook her head, "This is Elijah's fiancée."
Marcel's eyes widened once more as Rhea smiled sweetly, "Which is why I'm looking forward to working with you so peacefully to get him back." She said, lying through her teeth. She was sure that Marcel didn't believe a word she said either—because if there was one thing he knew about the Mikaelsons and the people around them, is that they would fight like Hell for the people they loved.
Later that night, Klaus, Rebekah and Rhea watch as Marcel and Cami were dancing as they were having their own private conversation, "You really are a hideously evil little thing, aren't you?" Klaus says to his sister.
Rebekah shrugged, "Nonsense. They're perfect for each other." She says nonchalantly before downing her champagne, trying to hide her jealousy that was in her tone but failing, "You wanted Marcel distracted? Voilà." Diego, Marcel's other right hand man, entered the courtyard looking extremely anxious. He walked up to Marcel who was still dancing with Cami, the two them so close that their faces were nearly touching each other and whispered something in his ear, "Our cue to leave." Rebekah says to Klaus before grabbing onto Rhea.
The two girls then left the party and quickly changed out of their clothes into something more functional and joined Sophie at the mausoleum, where she had set up a map, a bottle of black sand, and a pocket watch to cast her locator spell.
When Sophie hears them coming, she glances up at her, looking anxious. It's clear she doesn't believe the plan is going to work, but, she's too desperate to argue or dispute another plan. Instead, she's accepted the fact that she's going to be practically sacrificing Katie to get what she wants.
"You're doing the right thing." Rebekah assures her, "It's the only way to find Elijah."
Sophie glances over at Rhea, seeing that the desiccation had spread further and sighed. She knows that if she doesn't work fast, and Rhea dies before they can wake Elijah; that Original is going to go on a warpath. While Elijah doesn't have as bad of a reputation as Klaus does, he is known for being unpredictable and just as dangerous; and if his soulmate dies, he'll be unstoppable with rage and violence. New Orleans wouldn't survive his vengeance and everything she's done so far to protect her coven would've been for nothing. She then glowers at Rebekah, "I'm doing what I have to do."
Sophie then crouches down and pours the sand over the map. She closes her eyes and hovers her hands over the paper, waiting until she feels the pull all of the witches get when someone practices magic. Everyone in the coven feels it, and because all witches have been banned from using magic, when she feels the pull; she knows it's Katie. Sophie feels the pull from her stomach first, and then it tingles and she knows the plan had commenced so she begins to chant the incantation for the spell while Rhea and Rebekah look around as the lookout to make sure there are no uninvited guests.
"Hurry." Rebekah anxiously hushes.
Sophie only ignores her and continues to chant for a few minutes until she stops when she senses something. The two immortals look at her with concern and anticipation, wondering if it was already over and they knew where Elijah was, "Something's wrong." Sophie says and Rhea's heart drops. The witch looks up at her with wide eyes, "Katie's magic stopped." Rhea and Rebekah share a glance. Surely the conflict wasn't over already. Katie must be dead—it wasn't like Marcel would forgive her for using magic when he killed Jane-Anne, he would certainly kill Katie for trying to kill him with magic. Sophie then turns back to the map quickly, "I can keep going."
Rhea steps forward, "You can't. She'll sense it." Without the smokescreen, they'd know who was performing magic and what they were doing. Then they'd all be in shit.
Sophie ignores Rhea's warning and continues to reset everything to start the spell again, "No. I can find Davina. I just need another moment."
Rebekah hurries and grabs the map, throwing it and the sand aside so she cannot continue. Sophie looks stunned and upset but Rebekah just looks angry and annoyed, "You may be willing to die to get your witch back, but Hayley and the baby will die with you. Elijah will never forgive us, and rescuing him will be for nothing." She seethes, "It's over. We failed."
Rhea only sighs, the feeling of impending death heading closer her way every further second she's away from Elijah. She just wants him back.
Rebekah sat at the piano, lazily playing a scattering of notes while Rhea sits on the sofa beside her, feeling sorry for herself as she downs the last of the bourbon in her glass when the sound of the front door slamming made them sit up, Klaus entering the home seconds later, "Well, tonight was an epic failure." Rebekah quips.
"You're telling me." Rhea glared at the bottom of her glass as she made her way to the bar and poured herself another strong drink.
"On the contrary. Tonight was a masterpiece." Klaus disagreed.
"Are you insane?" Rhea's head snapped over to look at him with disgust and anger because the opposite happened. It wasn't a masterpiece, it was an absolute disaster, "Katie died before Sophie could complete the spell."
"Oh, I'm well aware." Klaus smirked smugly, "I killed Katie."
Silence covered the room as the girls processed what he had just said before the glass in Rhea's hand smashed as she crushed it with her grip with her mixed emotions of anger, shock and betrayal. With the sound, it snapped Rebekah out of her daze and she looked appalled as she snapped at Klaus, "You what!?"
Rhea struggles to fight back the minor panic attack that builds up in her chest, and she can't look at Klaus without wanting to cry or fight him, so she desperately grabs another drink while the Original hybrid explains himself, "There's no way our little suicide witch wasn't gonna try and take out Marcel with her. I saved his life, and in doing so, I now have him exactly where I want him."
"Sophie trusted you. Rhea trusted you. I trusted you! Against all my better instincts." Rebekah exclaimed.
Klaus was offended by this, "Wake up, Rebekah—the witches are on no one's side but their own. This girl, Davina? That's all they want, and when they have her, what do you think happens then, a truce?" He scoffs which makes Rhea snap inside at his motive, "Of course not. They will use Davina's power against all of us."
"Even if you're right, the plan was to find Elijah, and you've ruined it." Rhea seethed as she walks over to him, "And because of this little stunt tonight, if we don't find him and undagger him soon, I'm dead—and it'll be your fault." She harshly jabs his chest with her finger, "I don't want to die, but it seems I have no choice in the matter because you refuse to do anything that involves waking Elijah up."
Klaus shook his head in disappointment, "You two always did lack faith. By protecting Marcel, I've cemented his trust, so much so that he's agreed to return Elijah to us. And when the time is right, when he has told me everything I need to know about Davina, I will have her for myself."
Rhea grumbled before downing the drink in her hand, "Stupid, stupid, shit-eating bastard." She mumbled to herself, not caring that Klaus could hear every word.
Rebekah scoffed, "I have all the faith in the world that you'll get what you want, Nik. You always do, no matter what is costs the rest of us. If Rhea dies before Marcel returns Elijah to us, he will never forgive you. You won't come back from this." The blonde warned him before a scowl graced her fathers, "You disgust me." Rebekah took one last sip of her bourbon, then set her glass on the piano and left.
Rhea and Klaus looked at each other briefly before she let out a disappointed scoff and followed after Rebekah.
