๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐, now in some pajamas. she had a pair of fuzzy pajamas on and an over sized t-shirt on, her hair in a messy bun. stiles and scott sat on either side of her with max sat on the coffee table. scott had explained to stiles and max what had happened with aurora and liam at the boathouse, telling max that she had even turned into a wolf.
"what happened to your anchor?" max questioned, looking at aurora with worreied eyes.
"yeah, i'd like to know that too." stiles mumbled, turning to look at his best friend.
"something happened between you and allison, didn't it?" scott asked, remembering how aurora looked when he brought up her anchor earlier.
"we, uh, we broke up." aurora mumbled, her hand scrunching her pajama pants up. "earlier at school. perfect timing, huh? right before the full moon, ahh! she was avoiding me since i got back, and when i tried to talk to her we kinda had this argument. she was mad that i didn't tell her about everything i was going through, and then we. . . we broke up."
"rori." scott said, looking at her with sympathy.
"nah, it's okay." aurora shrugged, holding all of her feelings in. "she had every right to be mad. i mean, all of you do. i - i didn't tell any of you that i knew what was gonna happen or what i was planning. but that was only because i knew that you guys wouldn't have let me go with it."
"we could've came up with a better solution, rori." scott pointed out, his voice soft as he watched the girl try her best not to cry.
"yeah, i know. but it's too late for that now, right?" the hastings girl shrugged. "it happened already, i died, came back. now i'm single and have these big scars on my stomach and back. no more wearing bikinis."
"rori." stiles tried.
"i'm sorry for not telling you guys about it." aurora quickly apologized, screwing her eyes shut. "i know that i should've. i'm sorry."
"it's okay." scott told her. "like you said, there's nothing we can do about it now."
"do you want us to sleepover?" stiles questioned.
"max?" aurora called, looking over to where her uncle was sitting.
"you guys know that i don't care if you sleep over." max told the boys, a small smile on his face.

๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ and scott, the infamous trio being in noah's office at the sheriff's department. the three of them were trying their best to explain to him everything that has happened in the last 42 hours since another werewolf was killed the night before. lydia and kira had told them about the dead pool and had printed it out so that scott would be able to show it to noah. when aurora had first seen her name on the list, her heart stopped. and it didn't help that she was worth a lot of fucking money. because of how rare of a werewolf she was, she was 28,000,000 dollars. which also meant that people were gonna start coming after her.
"so, the walcott's were the first. at least the first that we know about." stiles started. "four murders. sean, his brother, and their parents. they were killed by a professional assassin called the mute. weapon of choice, a military tomahawk. but then the mute was killed by peter hale after he tried to blow up derek with a claymore mine."
"only time that i am thankful of peter hale." aurora mumbled, her arms crossed over her chest.
"next was demarco. he delivered a keg to the party at lydia's lake house. and got decapitated outside his car. and then last night, 23-year-old carrie hudson." stiles finished.
"it's a deadpool. a - a hit list of supernatural creatures." scott added, pulling out said deadpool. "this is only a part of it. the rest still has to be coded."
noah looked down at the list, his eyes stopping at aurora's name before he looked up at the hybrid wolf in front of him. he could see the worry on her face but decided to talk to her about it another time. "who found the list?"
"lydia." aurora answered.
"how?" noah asked, looking up at her.
"she wrote it." stiles replied, making his father look at him. "actually, she transcribed it. without realizing it."
"banshee?"
"banshee."
"beautiful." noah whispered. "all right, what are these numbers next to the names?"
"we're getting to that." aurora mumbled. "first, you need to know that the code was broken with a cipher key."
"wait. you mean, like, a key word?" noah asked.
"it's actually a name." stiles corrected.
when the three teens didn't elaborate further, noah raised his eyebrows. "who's name?"
"mine." aurora mumbled. "or one of my nicknames. rora."
"so you're on the list. . ." noah started.
"and her name broke a third of the list." stiles continued, nodding his head slightly.
"and now we think there's two other cipher keys." scott added.
"which will give us the rest of the names." aurora finished.
"okay. so how do we get the cipher keys?" noah questioned.
"same way we got the code." stiles answered.
"lydia." scott elaborated. "she's been out at the lake house all weekend trying to find the other two key words."
noah nodded his head, starting to look through the photos of demarco's decapitated body. aurora felt her stomach churn as she looked at them too, noticing how the part where the head was sliced off was charred, which meant it wasn't just sliced off. it was burnt off. noah had told them that it was a thermo-cut-wire.
"you didn't know about demarco or carrie? hmm?" noah asked, making aurora shake her head slightly. "and what about these other two names on the list? uh, kayleen bettcher and elias town. they werewolves too?"
"we don't know. but deaton said that the nemeton would draw supernatural creatures here." scott answered.
"here being beacon hills? or beacon county?" the sheriff quizzed. "the population of beacon hills is just under 30,000."
"and dropping." stiles quickly added.
this earned him a look from his father, making the freckled boy shrug his shoulders. "but if we're talking beacon county, then you're looking at close to 500,000. look, how many werewolves, banshee, kitsunes, and whatever the hell else is out there are we talking about?" he asked the trio as he sat down in his chair. "and what happens if the next cipher key uncovers not 12 names but 100?"
"well, we don't think there would be that many. there's a limit." stiles replied.
"because of the numbers." scott added, pointing to the deadpool list.
"we think that once we decode the names, the numbers will add up to 145." aurora explained.
"145 what?" noah asked.
"milion." scott said.
stiles then grabbed a pen from his father's desk before he flipped the list towards himself. he then started to either write the letter k for thousand, or m for million. the only people out of the list that was worth millions were lydia, scott, aurora, derek, and kira, on that order. "145 million dollars, dad. stolen from the hale vault and is being used by someone to finance all these murders."
"someone who wants ever supernatural in beacon hills dead." scott elaborated.
"so the coded list goes out. and somehow there professional assassins get that list." noah started.
"and a cipher key." stiles quickly interrupted.
"and then they go after the names on the list. they being killers with no mouths, tomahawks, thermo-cut-wires that can take your head off." noah finished.
"let me see. carrie was stabbed." stiles mumbled, pointing at the picture of stab wounds. he then tapped on the picture. "what's this mark?"
"we're not sure yet. we're waiting on the me's report." noah answered, pulling out another picture. "there's one other thing i don't get. how did this new assassin know that demarco was going to be at the lake house?"
"everyone knows he delivers kegs to teenagers for a little extra cash." aurora mumbled, her eyes looking down at the list that was in front of stiles.
"ah. so whoever ordered that keg killed demarco." the stilinski man concluded.
"yeah, it was someone at the party." stiles nodded.
"a student." scott finished.

๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ their economics class, only one of them actually paying attention to what coach finstock was actually saying, which was scott. stiles was looking through the pictures that he had taken from his dad's office, all of them being the dead bodies of the people who were on the deadpool. aurora was sat behind scott, her head in her hand as she slowly dozed off. she had barely slept last night because of a nightmare. it wasn't as bad as the ones that she was having last semester, but a nightmare was still a nightmare. she just hoped that it didn't escalate.
the sound of something banging on a desk not only made stiles jump back into reality, but aurora too, pulling her away from the land of sleep. this earned her a worried look from scott, his eyebrows knitted together. she turned to look at the source of the noise, seeing that it was coach.
"you know, stilinski, if i could grade you on how profoundly you disturb me, you'd be an a plus student." the older man told stiles, looking down at the disturbing pictures on his desk.
"thanks, coach." stiles nodded.
"put those pictures away." coach told him as he stood straight up. "and hastings, i know it's been hard adjusting to all of this again. but try to pay attention."
"yes, coach." the girl in question nodded, sitting up in her chair.
coach nodded his head before he started to bang the lacrosse stick in his hand on stiles' desk again. stiles looked at the bottom end of the stick, his eyebrows raising slightly before he grabbed it. he pulled it closer, trying to get a closer look. that led to him and coach playing tug-of-war with the lacrosse stick.
"stilinski!" coach exclaimed, trying to pull the stick away.
stiles ignored him, pulling the white cap off the lacrosse stick before he looked down at the pictures on his desk, still having a tight grip on the stick. aurora and scott shared a confused look before they looked back at their best friend, basically seeing the wheels turning in his head.
"what the hell is wrong with you?" coach questioned, pulling at the stick again.
stiles still kept a firm grip on the stick, looking between the end of it and the pictures.
coach had finally managed to pull it away from him, snapping the freckled boy out of the trance he was in. "don't answer that."
aurora and scott kept their eyes on stiles, even after coach had started to talk about the lesson again. they waited for the stilinski boy to tell them what he had just found out, their eyes wide with anticipation.
"it's a lacrosse player." stiles informed them.
"the killer's on the team." scott confirmed, earning a nod from stiles.
โถ๏ธ โ ๏ธ ๐ฆ โ ๏ธ โถ๏ธ
๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐, ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐, were searching through all of the lacrosse sticks that coach had in his office. they were popping the bottom ends off of each and every one of them, but it was to no avail. aurora threw down one of the last lacrosse sticks, a frustrated sigh leaving her lips as she leaned on coach finstock's desk.
"this - this is pointless." scott mumbled after he threw down a lacrosse stick.
"exactly. most of the team plays with their own gear." aurora agreed, running her fingers through her hair.
"maybe instead of trying to find a lacrosse stick with a hidden dagger in it, we should be trying to get the came canceled?" kira suggested, looking around at the trio in front of her.
"the game's the best way to catch him red-handed." scott reasoned.
"but what if he's red-handed cause his hands are covered in the blood of the person that he just stabbed to death?" stiles pointed out. "which, by the way, could be either of you guys. you too, rori."
"wha - why me?" aurora asked, looking at stiles with furrowed eyebrows.
"you're the team manager and you have access to all of the equipment, all of the time." stiles explained.
"fair point." aurora mumbled, nodding her head.
"or it could be liam." scott whispered. "well, we don't have the whole list and he could be on it."
"it's not him." aurora reassured.
"we don't know anything about the list. how it's made, how it's updated." stiles said. "i mean, who's been out taking a supernatural census anyway?"
"how do they even know about me?" kira questioned.
"they know about everyone." scott mumbled.
"i think kira's right. i think we should stop the game." stiles told his best friends, looking between them.
"i'm not afraid." scott shook his head.
"neither am i." kira said, looking at the mccall boy with a small smile.
"well, i'm terrified. and i'm not even on the list." stiles said, flailing his arms everywhere as he spoke. "guys, these are professional killers. it's their profession. one of them's got a thermo-cut wire that cuts heads off. who knows what else they have? i mean, aurora, what do you think we should do?"
this made scott and kira look over to the girl in question, stiles doing the same. the hastings girl was still leaning on coach finstock's desk, her arms cross over her chest as she looked down at her feet. she knew stiles was right about the assassins being professionally trained and possibly having an unknown amount of weapons. but they had professionally trained killers on their side too. allison was 100% gonna be there since she knew everything that's been going on, even if she's been with lydia and malia this whole time. plus, they have a kitsune who is fucking fantastic with a katana, a true alpha who would do anything to save people, and a true gamma/alpha hybrid that would make sure the people she loved didn't get hurt.
four people that she loved was on that deadpool, plus herself. if they didn't try to catch the killers now, who knows when they would have another chance to. she got off of the desk she was leaning on, turning to look at the three teens that were waiting for her answer.
"i say. . . we should let the game continue, and give those little fuckers hell." she mumbled, making stiles groan. "stiles, we're all gonna be there. that also means allison, lydia, and malia too. out of the seven of us, three of us literally have heightened senses. and i have my spidey sense or whatever we're calling it. we're gonna be okay."
"fine." the stilinksi boy quizzed.
"trust me, okay? trust us." aurora said, going over to wrap her arms around his shoulders.
stiles looked between aurora and scott, the alpha nodding his head at him in a reassuring way. "okay." stiles mumbled.
