๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ inside of the animal clinic, watching as lydia patched deaton up. allison told the everything that had happened, the two boys listening closely as they watched deaton with worry.
"i don't think he's just younger in body." deaton started once allison was done. "i think he's younger in his mind too."
"he didn't recognize either of us." lydia added as she finished patching deaton up.
"and he looked like he was scared out of his mind." allison finished.
"so if you're a teenage werewolf and you're scared, where do you go?" stiles questioned.
"a wolf goes back to its den. but derek lives in a loft." scott answered.
"not when he was a teenager." allison pointed out.
"the hale house?" lydia suggested.
"he wouldn't remember the fire. it wouldn't have happened yet." deaton then furthered explained.
"okay, cool. so we're going to the hale house." stiles nodded, him and scott turning around to leave.
"hold on." lydia called, making the two boys stop. "say you do manage to catch up to him? what are you gonna say to them? that his whole family is dead?"
"i guess i'm gonna have to." scott answered.
"that's not a good idea." allison told him.
"yeah, she's right. maybe you shouldn't." stiles agreed. "you know, at least until we figure out how to get him back to normal."
"i can't lie to him." scott said.
"okay. i'll do it." stiles then said.
"i don't think any of us can. remember, he can hear a heartbeat rising." scott pointed out. "when we find him, we tell him the truth."
"if he gets to the house first, you won't have to." deaton said.

๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ in the animal clinic, even after lydia had left to go home. she didn't wan to leave aurora, just in case the hybrid woke up. lydia had tried to get the argent girl to come with her, but she wouldn't budge, wanting to stay with the girl she loved. deaton had been trying his best to see what was keeping aurora in a coma and what had brought her back.
"you know, you should really go home and get some rest, allison." deaton said, breaking the silence that had fell over the two.
allison looked up, watching as deaton continued to examine aurora. "i'd rather stay here. it's not like my father is there to worry about me."
"if she was awake, she would tell you to leave." deaton pointed out.
"but she would know that i wouldn't." allison shot back, standing up from the chair that she was sitting in. "is she doing better?"
deaton let out a sigh. "no. her heart is barely beating, but it's doing it. i just don't understand how kate brought her back. i've never seen anything like this."
another blanket of silence fell over them as deaton continued to examine the hastings girl. he thought about how she had gotten stabbed by the oni, lifting her shirt up to see that there was a long scar on her stomach, right where her ribcage ends. he lifted her up slightly, putting his hand underneath her so that he could see if there was a scar on her back. and there was.
"shouldn't that have healed when she was brought back to life?" allison questioned.
deaton placed aurora back down, pushing on the scar. "it did heal, just not how it usually does for her. my guess is that it has something to do with how kate brought her back. she probably used the wound itself to do it. the laws of the supernatural are weird like that. but it still isn't like something I've seen before."
"do you think it'll ever heal when she wakes up?" allison asked.
"honestly, probably not." deaton mumbled.
allison looked at the veterinarian, seeing the worried look on his face. "why do you have that look on your face?"
"i'm worried."
"about what?"
"remember when her, scott, and stiles all did the surrogate sacrifice and they came back with that sliver of darkness with them?" deaton asked.
"yeah." allison nodded, remembering what the three best friends had gone through because of it.
"well, they were dead for sixteen hours. and i'm gonna assume from the state of her clothes, that she was down there for a few weeks." deaton explained. "that darkness that the three of them felt, everything that stiles and aurora went through with the nightmares and everything. . . it's gonna be a lot worse. she won't be able to control her abilities and she might be different than how you remembered her. she might not be the same aurora we grew to love."
allison didn't say anything for a few seconds, her eyes shifting down to aurora. "i'll love her no matter what."

๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ to the animal clinic, picking allison up. lydia practically had to drag the girl out, telling her everything that has been going on; from her finding the dead gas station attendant to the reason why kate had made derek age backwards. weirdly enough, peter didn't know why kate had brought aurora back from the dead, but no one had time to dwell on that. they needed to get to the school so that they could stop kate from getting the triskele.
deaton was finishing up some papers from the appointments he had the week prior. aurora was still on the metal table, a blanket covering her. deaton had made sure to constantly check up on her to see if anything changed, but nothing did. the vet walked out of the back room and to the front, placing the paperwork into some files. and because deaton was in the front. . . he wouldn't witness what was about to happen.
"aurora, you need to wake up." the familiar voice of rebecca echoed through out aurora's ears.
something happened to her heart, it starting to beat faster.
"aurora. sweetie, your friends need you." rebecca's voice appeared again. "if you don't wake up, your pack is gonna die."
aurora's heart started to beat faster.
"allison's gonna die."
that seemed to do it, picking aurora's heart rate up so fast that her body temperature started to heat up. she sucked in a breath as her eyes shot open, revealing her brown orbs. she continued to suck in heavy breaths as she started to shift, chocolate brown eyes turning pink. her face continued to shift, almost turning into beast-like features as she let a ear piercing roar leave her mouth.
deaton quickly covered his ears, running into the backroom to see that aurora was all ready off the metal table and walking towards the back doors. "aurora!"
he was ignored as she pulled the doors off their hinges. she didn't know what had taken over her, but she felt an immense amount of power flowing through her veins. she then felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up as goosebumps ran down her arms.
"aurora!" deaton called again.
she turned towards him, revealing the beast-like features that was on her face. the older man couldn't help but stagger backlit the sight, not used to those features being on the girl's face. aurora lowly growled before she took off down the road. it was like she wasn't even in control of herself, her feet guiding her towards the school. she was definitely going a lot faster than what she usually did.
"that's my cub." rebecca's voice echoed through her ears as the hastings girl continued to run down the road.

๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ran throughout the school, silently praying the the heavens above that stiles and lydia would be okay on their own. they were trying to find scott or kira, knowing that they would need their help. they quickly ran up the stairs, seeing that scott and kira were on the floor, injured from whatever the hell these creatures were.
allison quickly nocked an arrow into her boy, pulling back before she let go. the arrow flew through the air and lunged itself in the creatures chest. allison watched as it barely fazed him, seeing him pull it out of her chest. allison let her eyes take in every detail of the creatures' appearance. it had the skull of an animal on it's head, along with a bunch of other bones attached to it's body. but the body itself looked like it was human. extremely mundane.
the huntress watched as kira ran towards one of the manlike creatures, her katana in her hand. she was about to nock another arrow, but another one of those things appeared in front of her, quickly grabbing ahold of the bow. it snatched it out of allison's hands before it easily snapped it in half. the creature then swung it's hand at her face, making the argent girl stumble to the ground besides scott.
"what the hell are those things?" allison questioned as she wiped her mouth.
"berserkers." scott mumbled, turning back to face kira and the three berserkers.
the yukimura girl turned to look at her three friends, a small smile on her face. she had gotten cocky.
"kira!" scott yelled as the berserker smacked the sword out of her hand before it swung at her.
this made the kitsune stumble to the ground between scott and allison. the three of them plus kira all looked up at the two berserkers, allison quickly taking notice that one of them were missing. the quartet then watched as the younger version of derek had ran up to them from behind, immediately starting to fight the creatures. as he fought them, his features would flicker between his teen self and adult self.
"does anyone else see that?" allison asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
instead of receiving verbal answers from the other three teens, they all nodded their head as they continued to watch the scene unfold in front of them. the sound of a loud footstep coming from her left made her look in the direction, seeing that there was two more berserkers coming from the stairs.
"g - guys." she whispered, kira, scott, and kira all turned towards her before their eyes widened at the sight of the two berserkers.
scott being the alpha he is shot you from the ground, flicking his hands so that his claws good extend. he knew that he couldn't beat them by himself, but he wasn't going down without a fight. but before he could even make a move to go forward, a dark figure jumped over the railing and tackled one of the berserkers to the ground. the quartet watched with wide eyes as the figure punched at the animal skull that was on it's head. soon enough, the skull was cracked, blood seeping onto the ground as the berserker laid limp.
the figure then jumped up onto the other berserker, pulling at the animal skull as growls and roars left her mouth. she then let out a roar as she easily pulled the skull off of the berserker's head. she then jumped off of him, making sure to put extra force in it so that he could go tumbling down the stairs. allison, kira, and malia all got up from the grown as scott stood protectively in front of them. derek - who was now back to his adult self - walked over to them, also standing protectively in front of the three girls.
"do we know who that is?" scott questioned, looking at derek.
"yeah." he nodded, tilting his head slightly. "the question is does she know who she is."
the figure slowly turned around, everyone immediately seeing the familiar glowing pink eyes in the shadows. allison felt her heart drop as the figure stepped out of the shadows and into the light, a wave of emotions washing over her. aurora was standing there, her eyes glowing pink with beast-like features taking over her face. she looked almost how peter looked when all of this shit started.
"rora?" allison called, cautiously stepping around scott.
"allison -" scott tried, going to stop the huntress from walking.
derek grabbed ahold of his arm, "let her. it'll help rori calm down."
scott stepped back, nodding his head slightly as he watched allison walk towards aurora.
"that's aurora?" malia asked, looking at scott and kira with knitted eyebrows. "she looks badass!"
allison took another step forward, noticing the droplets of blood that was scattered on aurora's face. the hybrid still had the animal skull in her hand as she looked down at huntress in front of her.
"rora." allison started, slowly bringing her hands up to rest them on aurora's cheeks. "it's me."
a flicker of realization appeared in aurora's eyes, her eyebrows knitting together as she continued to look down at allison. "ally?" she questioned, her voice deeper than usual.
allison smiled slightly, nodding her head. she watch as aurora's features go back to normal. the beautiful pink eyes went back to the chocolate brown eyes that allison had loved so much. her canines retracted, her claws doing the same as she started to feel weaker and weaker. the animal skull that was in her hand fell to the ground as she grabbed onto allison.
"hey. you're okay, love. you're okay." allison reassured as she felt the taller girl stumble in her hold.
"i thought i would never see you again." aurora mumbled as she leaned into allison. "i don't feel too good."
"it's okay. you're okay." allison reassured. "we're gonna take you home, okay?"
"okay." the hastings girl nodded.
"she's really back." scott smiled as he turned to derek. "and so are you."
