"okay, well, we know one thing." stiles started, pulling allison back into reality. "both of the first two keys, rora and aiden, they're both names of the dead, right? well, one is."

"but we've already tried every other dead person's name we could think of." lydia pointed out. "and if you haven't noticed, there were a lot of tries."

"yeah, i noticed. have you noticed, allison?" stiles nodded, looking over to the argent girl. he got a nod from her. he then looked over to lydia, seeing the look on her face. "you okay?"

"the only other banshee i've ever met. and i think i might have just drove her over the edge." lydia said in a low tone.

"it wasn't your fault, lyds." allison reassure, leaning forward to lean on her knees. "we were there too."

"exactly. and you're probably not the only. . ." stiles agreed before his voice trailed off. allison looked over at him, seeing the wheels turning in his head. "hold on. banshees predict death. right? so what if the third key is someone who isn't dead. . ."

"but will be." allison and lydia finished in unison.

allison got up from stiles' bed as her and the freckled boy walked over to lydia, standing behind her. they watched her closely, the strawberry blonde closing her eyes as she tried to use her abilities. lydia's hands hovered over the keyboard of her laptop. after a few seconds, she typed a letter. stiles and allison shared a brief look before they looked back at lydia, the girl typing another letter. this happened a few more times, small clicks filling the room as they all waited for lydia to be finished. and when she was done, she slowly opened her eyes. allison's own eyes widened, not expecting to see the name that was on the screen.

"derek?" she questioned in a hushed tone.

lydia pressed the enter key, that immediately taking them to another screen where the rest of the names were popping up. allison's eyes quickly fell on the second and the third names of the list, knowing that aurora and scott wasn't gonna like it. malia haleย  4, liam dunbarย  3. her eyes then went down to the fourth name. meredith walkerย  1.

"call parrish. we need to call parrish." lydia quickly said.

stiles did as told, running over to where his phone was on his bed, almost tripping as he did so. allison pulled out her own phone, going to her and aurora's messages so that she could tell her that they had gotten the last part of the list. stiles handed lydia his phone once he got ahold of parrish, the girl telling him that he needed to go check on meredith immediately before something bad happened.

after a few seconds, lydia got up from stiles' desk. "what are you talking about?"

allison and stiles shared a look, wondering what parrish was saying. the both of them were wishing that they had supernatural hearing in that moment, not liking that they were being left out of the conversation. lydia slowly turned around to face allison and stiles, pulling the phone away from her ear. allison's heart dropped when she saw tears slowly trailing down lydia's cheek, knowing that meredith was dead. stiles picked up on that too, pulling the strawberry blonde into a hug. allison let the two have their moment, backing away slightly as she hugged herself.

aurora let out a breath of relief when she saw that the boy was okay, instantly pulling him into a hug. "you're okay, liam. you're okay."

"we've gotta get you to the animal clinic, okay?" scott told liam once aurora pulled away, the dunbar boy nodding his head.

"i can heal you for the time being, but we've gotta get that wolfsbane out of you, too." aurora added.

"you can heal me?" liam questioned, his eyebrows furrowed as he looked up at the girl.

"yeah. lift your shirt." aurora smiled.

liam did as told, holding it up to show the small stab wound on the left side of his chest. aurora sucked in a deep breath, hoping that she would be able to heal him. she gently placed her hand on his chest. she closed her eyes as she tried to concentrate, putting all of her energy onto the wound. she felt her veins bulge as they went down her arm and towards liam's chest. the beta wolf watched with wide eyes, feeling the wound on his chest start to heal. he looked over to scott, the mccall boy nodding with a small smile on his face. it was always a cool moment to watch people react to aurora's abilities.

when she was done, she pulled her hand away, scott putting his arms out just in case she lost her balance. she sent him a grateful nod before she turned to look at liam's chest. she smiled when she saw that there was no stab wound, just skin. liam looked at her with wide eyes, his mouth opened slightly.

"how'd you do that?" he asked.

"used my concentration and energy." she shrugged as if it was a normal thing.

"can you do that?" the dunbar boy then asked, turning to look at scott.

"no, but i can take pain away. you can learn how to." scott told him.

"why can only she do that?"

"i'm a mixture between a gamma and an alpha. the gamma part of me has the ability to heal." aurora explained.

"that's so cool." liam mumbled.

aurora chuckled, nodding her head. "let's get you to deaton."

the three werewolves made their way to the animal clinic, walking through the preserve since neither scott and aurora had their car. once they got there, aurora and scott quickly explained to deaton where liam was at and what had happened after they traced there berserkers down. deaton told liam to take his shirt off and lay down on the metal table while he grabbed a scalpel.

"hold him down." deaton told aurora and scott, the two teen wolves doing as told.

"this might hurt, liam." aurora told him, the younger boy nodding his head.

deaton started to cut down the middle of liam's chest, the beta wold grunting in pain. a yellow cloud of smoke came out from the cut that deaton had made. aurora looked down at liam, only to see that he had passed out, probably from the pain. she wiped the sweat off his head gently, feeling bad that he had gotten dragged into all of this. and she wasn't event the one who bit him.

"we don't wanna keep watching people die." scott mumbled, earning a nod of agreement from aurora.

"i'm not sure you two have much of a choice about that." chris told them. he had met the two at the animal clinic.

"maybe we do." aurora said, looking up at the hunter before looking at scott.

"that's a lot of burden to carry, aurora." deaton pointed out.

"we don't care. no one else dies." scott shrugged, making a promise to himself, aurora, and the two men in front of them.

"everyone on that list. everyone on that dead pool. it doesn't matter if they're wendigos, or werewolves, or whatever. we're gonna save everyone." aurora continued, her tone becoming cold and hard. "and it's not like the burden is all one person. we're doing it together." she finished, looking at scott.

scott nodded his head, seeing the fire in the girl's eyes. he knew that she could see the fire in his. they were gonna keep their word, doesn't matter how. the people on all three parts of that dead pool were gonna live. at any fucking cost.

๐€๐”๐‘๐Ž๐‘๐€, ๐’๐‚๐Ž๐“๐“, ๐€๐๐ƒ ๐’๐“๐ˆ๐‹๐„๐’ ๐–๐„๐‘๐„ sat on the floor in scott's bedroom. scott had told stiles about the money that him and aurora found the day before, catching him on everything that he had missed. he had also told him what he was planning to do with the money that he found. melissa was downstairs, trying to pay all of the bills that she was behind on. aurora's heart hurt for the woman, her heart aching even more since she knew that max and noah were behind on bills too.

"you counted it yet?" stiles questioned, looking at scott.

"no." the alpha answered.

"well, we should probably count it." stiles suggested.

the boys looked at each other before they looked over at aurora, silently asking her if they should do it. she nodded her head making the two boys grab the duffel bag and flip it over, wads of cash tumbling out onto the floor. aurora's eyebrows raised when a tape fell onto the floor. the trio shared a look before they looked back at the tape, scott picking it up. aurora's eyebrows knitted together as she looked at the back.

"there's something on it." she mumbled, making scott flip the tape over.

scott's eyes widened slightly, looking at his two best friends. "play me."

stiles was the first to move, shooting up from the floor to grab scott's stereo off his desk. he basically threw himself back onto the floor once he got it. scott put the tape into the stereo before he pressed play. he looked at stiles and aurora, the air around them suddenly feeling thicker.

"after entering the ip address, you will be connected through a darknet portal to an untraceable bank." a man's voice started. "once logged inventor your account number to receive wire transfers. the ip address will deactivate with each transfer. you will be assigned a new ip address if you choose to continue down the list. remember, visual confirmation is always required for payment."

stiles leaned forwards and pressed on the stop button, looking between his two best friends. "you two ever made a wire transfer?"

"never has enough money." scott answered.

"same. i've been broken my whole life." aurora nodded.

"so neither of you understood a word of that either?" stiles asked, aurora shaking her head.

"i don't understand any of this." scott admitted. "why would someone use all this money just to kill us?"

"why not use it to get something that they've want? like a house. . . or a race car. or a fucking pony." aurora added, bringing a hand up to run her fingers through her hair.

"this is something that they want. someone wants the both of you dead, guys. badly." stiles told them, making aurora sigh.

scott looked down at the money, started to grab it from the floor and stuffing it back into the duffel bag. aurora raised her eyebrows at his actions since they just agreed that they were gonna count it.

"whoa, whoa, what are you doing?" stiles asked.

"it's late. we've got psat's in the morning." scott reminded.

"i think he meant the money, scotty." aurora said.

"$500,000. do you know how much money that is?" stiles questioned, making aurora look at him with knitted eyebrows.

"how'd you know it was 500,000?" she asked in a hushed tone.

"it's 500,000 -" scott started to ask.

"it's half a million dollars, guys." stiles interrupted, his eyes staying on scott. "what are you gonna do with it? just slide it under your mattress?"

"i have to talk to derek. the money is his." scott answered.

"that's a good point." aurora mumbled.

"you mean his and peter's." stiles corrected.

"that's also a good point." aurora muttered.

"what does that mean?" scott asked.

"it means maybe we should proceed with caution." stiles replied.

scott raised his eyebrows slightly, looking at aurora before he looked back at stiles. "you don't think we should tell derek."

"no. no." the stilinski boy mumbled as he got up from the floor. aurora and scott shared another look before they turned back to their best friend. "no, of course we have to tell him. i'm just. . . i'm just saying, some of that money's peter's, right?"

"yeah." scott nodded.

"right? peter." stiles repeated. "homicidal killer? remember? you want to give half a million dollars to him?"

"so we should give derek his money back. but not peter?" scott questioned.

aurora stayed silent, not wanting to jump back in just yet. she knew that scott was right because that money did belong to derek and peter. but she also knew that stiles was right too. peter was basically a psychopath. they don't know what he would do with his part of the money.

"i didn't say that." stiles said quickly.

"stiles, what are you saying?" scott asked, looking up at the freckled boy.

him and aurora waited for stiles to answer the question. aurora's head snapped towards the door when she heard footsteps quickly approaching scott's door. she turned to look at scott, seeing that he was already stuffing the duffel bag full of money back under his bed. him and aurora shot up from the floor, stiles joining their aurora's side as they face the door. the trio tried to act normal as the door opened, thinking that it was melissa. but it wasn't. it was a soaking wet malia.

the girl looked at the three weirdly for a second. "we found satomi's pack. derek and i. but they're dead."

"all of them?" aurora and scott asked in unison.

"all the ones we found." malia answered.

"then where's derek?" stiles questioned, stepping towards the werecoyote.
