Meetings
GREYSON AND GENEVIEVE WENT OUT HUNTING,
to satisfy their thirst, what they didn't know was the treaty that Cullens and the Quileute tribe made. She was waiting for her brother to finish his Elk when they both smelled a scent of wet-go, then they heard a growl. Greyson immediately went to his sister's side when a shape-shifter appeared.
"We don't mean any harm. We didn't know that the land was claimed," Genevieve raises her hands for surrender.
"We'll go on our way. It won't happen again," Greyson bargains as he tries to walk away from them slowly.
But that didn't convince the shape-shifter as a hint of peace; instead, the shape-shifters ran after them.
Since they mean no harm and they actually want to stay here in Forks, they run away from the shape-shifters, much to Greyson's dismay since he wants to kill the mutt.
"Towards the ravine!" Her brother shouts at her. They jumped to the ravine to get to the other side, then the shape-shifter growled. The other shape-shifters followed them.
"So this is our side," Genevieve smirked at the wolf. They heard a twig snap, and they saw a group of vampires approaching. They recognized the other three members, but they weren't sure about the rest, and the twins took a defensive stance.
"Sam. They mean no harm. They drink animal blood. They didn't know about the treaty," The blonde man says-the shape-shifter growls.
"No. They don't know who Victoria is," She remembers his name, Edward.
"We'll take care of them," The blonde man says while motioning the two to follow them. The twins look at each other and nod.
The twins followed them. A large modern house came into their view. The house was surrounded by trees a wave of calmness engulfed them like a warm hug of assurance.
"Whoever is doing that, stop it," Greyson snaps at them while pushing his sister at his back. Genevieve smacks his head and receives a what-the-fuck look from his brother.
"Stop being rude. They saved us from those mutts," Genevieve rolls her eyes.
"Please come inside. Let's get to know each other," A woman with caramel-colored hair approaches them. They followed the family inside the house. She looked at Jasper and gave him a wink. Nobody dared to speak first, and his brother took it upon himself.
"Well, the tension in this house makes me want to either be dead or run away," Greyson says with a smirk while crossing his arms.
"You're dead stupid," Genevieve says while rolling her eyes.
"You're dead too," Greyson says with a scoff.
"No shit," Genevieve counters. They looked at the other vampires who were on the other side of the living room.
"Sorry for being rude again. My name is Genevieve Stone, and the other irritating one is Greyson Stone," She says while her thumb pointed to his brother, he nudged his sister's side.
"My name is Carlisle Cullen, and this is my wife, Esme Cullen," He introduces himself with a welcoming smile.
"This are my children, Edward, Rosalie and her husband Emmett, Alice, and Jasper," he continues
"We met the other three at school. We just didn't have the chance to talk," She says with a smile.
"May I ask what are your intentions in staying here in Forks?" Carlisle asks them politely.
"As you can see, we're vampires. We move around a lot because we don't age. We are looking forward to having a permanent residency here," Greyson explains to them.
"If you're staying here, we must explain to you the treaty we made with the shape-shifters so when you guys hunt, both of you won't accidentally trespass on their lands," Carlisle says while sitting on the large sofa.
"Of course. We made our fair share of small meetings with the shapeshifters. We've been alive for so long after all," Genevieve says.
"They aren't exactly welcoming," Greyson scoffs.
"How old are you both?" Rosalie suddenly asks.
"We're 333 years old," The twins say simultaneously.
"Wow, you guys are old, old," Emmet said with a smirk.
"When were you both changed?" Rosalie asks impatiently, boredom laced in her voice. The twins tensed. Sudden flashes of images of what happened to them went through their mind.
Edward visibly flinched at the twins' thoughts.
Greyson and Genevieve clenched their knuckles, and anger radiated from both of them. Esme gave Rosalie a pointed look, and Rosalie immediately regretted the question that came out of her mouth.
"I'm sorry that was insensitive of me. You don't need to answer it," Rosalie blurts out.
Jasper and Alice went to their mates to calm them down. Jasper held Genevieve's hands and massaged her knuckles. Her tensed posture softened at his touch, and she buried her head into his neck, inhaling his scent, which Jasper enjoyed, but now was not the time to celebrate.
"A story for another time. Let's just say it was the year 1692," Genevieve said.
"The Salem Witch Trials," Carlisle says while looking at them wide-eyed.
"Ding ding ding. Bingo. What a wonderful year, right?" Greyson says, sarcasm laced in his voice.
"Such a grand historical event that we took part in. Sadly our names aren't in the history books," Genevieve says.
"That's not the only historical event we were in," Greyson smirks at his sister.
"But we always remember to change our names first. You can see our false identities in the books," Genevieve says while smiling.
"Back to our topic about the treaty. The rules are to never feed on the people of Forks, and we can't cross their lands. That also means we can't change locals into vampires," Carlisle enlists. The twins looked at each then at Edward.
"Wait-wait, what??" Greyson scoffs, "-you can't change any locals, but how about the human you were with? Does she know?" He immediately asks in disbelief.
The family looked at each other with worry.
"Yes. She does," Edward says.
"Do you plan on changing her?" Genevieve asks him with a stern voice.
"No." With that simple answer, the twins stood up from their seats. They looked at each other silently, communicating on what to do, either to leave or stay.
"Does the Volturi know about her?" Greyson asks worriedly.
"Yes. We plan on waiting for a few years without them knowing. We still want her to have a normal human life," Carlisle tries to explain the situation. The twins scoff.
"She will never have a normal human experience. She's hanging out with vampires, and her life will always be in danger," Genevieve stated the obvious.
"Not to mention her blood that smelled oh so sweet and very tempting. We are still surprised that you haven't sucked her dry yet," Greyson smirks at Edward, and the bronze-haired immortal glares at him.
"It's not without difficulty," Edward argues with a stern voice.
"May I ask if she's your mate? Or just a plain old La Tua Cantante?" Genevieve asks him.
"She's my blood singer," Edward answers while looking at his shoes.
"Even more impressive. Greyson here sucked his blood singer dry when he encountered one," Genevieve tells them while looking at his brother.
"Look who's talking, like you didn't do the same," Greyson rolls his eyes.
"How many years are you two on animal blood?" A bubbly voice suddenly asks them if it is Alice.
"About seven decades, we didn't like the killings anymore. It took a toll on us," Genevieve says.
"Did you know that not all blood singers can be your mate when changed?" Greyson asks him while raising his eyebrow at him.
"If I'm human and Jasper is my mate, he wouldn't be tempted by my blood. Instead, my scent will drive off the smell of blood surrounding him," Genevieve tells Edward.
"I know. It's the risk I'm willing to take," Edward simply replies. The tension grew around, so the other twin changed the topic.
"So, what is this Victoria chic that those mutts thought we were with?" Greyson asks as he looks at the family expectantly.
"Ask Edward. He's the reason that the redhead is after us," Rosalie tells them with a scoff, clearly annoyed at his brother.
"Oh, let me guess," Greyson says as he looks like he is thinking about something, "-the redhead wants the little human. Maybe because of her blood or something else."
"Some things happened since Bella had known our secret and joined our family," Carlisle says softly.
"And those things are...?" Genevieve trails off so somebody can continue.
The family explained what happened in a span of two and a half years with Rosalie's constant remarks and her mate trying to calm her down as Edward glared daggers at her and Alice and Greyson's public display of affection, with Jasper's sudden tensed posture at the mention on what happened in the human's birthday party, it was Genevieve's turn to comfort him.
"I'm extremely surprised by your story, and the human is very clumsy and stupid. She jumped off a cliff because a man had left her. Pathetic," Genevieve scoffs and crosses her arms.
"Now, now, sister, you and I know that you don't depend on a man. The human was weak. You can't blame her for being blinded by love," Greyson smirks at her sister.
"Wipe that stupid smirk off your face before I do it for you," Genevieve warns, then she looks at Edward, "-tell me McBroody is it Infatuation or Love?"
"McBroody?" Emmet laughs loudly.
"Even with Bella, he looks constipated all the time, and it's really funny," Genevieve laughs, her brother giving her a high-five. Edward just rolls his eyes at the nickname she gave him.
Jasper just smiled at his mate, loving the sound of her laugh. He just decided that her laugh was the most fantastic sound he had ever heard.
"I love her," Edward simply answers.
"Does she love you?" Greyson asks, "-no, don't answer that she wouldn't have saved you from the Volturi if she didn't love you. I mean, you left her for almost like 5-6 months after you decided to involve her in this type of life," Greyson grins at him.
"That's just wrong in so many ways, and you're not a man. You're a one hundred, whatever the fuck your age, year old boy," Genevieve laughs again while Rosalie and Alice snicker while. Emmet didn't even dare to hide his laugh. Jasper watched her mate in amusement.
"Darlin', let's not mock Edward anymore. He looks like he's about to explode," Jasper says to his mate. She didn't want to admit it, but she liked the nickname he gave her.
"Terribly sorry for that," Greyson says with a tight-lip smile, trying to contain his laugh.
"You both aren't even sorry. I read your thoughts," Edward tells them.
"Wait, read our thought? Is that like your gift?" Greyson immediately asks him.
"Yes. I can read minds, Alice is precognitive, and Jasper is an Empath," Edward lists.
"That explains my sudden change of mood earlier," Greyson says while looking at Jasper, while Jasper just gives him a confirming nod.
"Do you have gifts?" Esme politely asks them.
"Yes, we have. It's one of the reasons why we are immortal," Genevieve scoffs. Greyson grabbed her sister's hand and gently squeezed it.
"Death Inducement. I can cause death, either instantly or after a certain time, with a touch. That's why I wear gloves all the time," Greyson says while lifting both of his hands, displaying his leather gloves. They looked at Genevieve expecting to tell her gift, which she sighed at.
"I can Manipulate Shadows of the dead or the living. I don't really know. I can see and hear them, but over time and plenty of practice, I can lock them away, but sometimes I accidentally let my walls down, and my emotions get in the way, and I lose control. I also can make an army of shadows in my command or just make a plain old shadow that looks like you," Genevieve explains.
"You have a mate as an Empath. He'll help you control your emotions," Carlisle says. Genevieve looked at Jasper with a smile.
"Wow, you guys have powerful gifts, a wannabe grim reaper, and a shadow whisperer," Emmett says with a smirk while Rosalie gives him a playful slap on the shoulder. The twins gave him a soft laugh.
"School starts in about 2 hours. We need to head home to change our clothes," Genevieve says while giving Esme and Carlisle a hug, "-thank you for your hospitality."
"You two are always welcome here," Esme says softly.
"If you ever need help capturing the redhead, we can help," Greyson says while looking at Alice, intertwining his hands with hers.
"Thank you. We'll call you if Alice has any vision of her," Carlisle says with a smile.
"We can accompany you both," Alice offers with a wide smile.
"Sure thing, sweetheart," Greyson winks at her. If she could blush, she most likely would.
They ran back to their house. Greyson and Alice went on their separate way while Jasper and Genevieve went on another trail. They both stopped mid-way.
"So you're my mate?" Genevieve looks at him with a smile.
"Indeed I am, ma'am," He said with his thick southern accent slipping through.
"Don't disappoint me, sir. I'll give you a chance," she says while walking towards him. She brought her hand up to his face her fingers caressed his jaw.
"I won't."
"Good. I'll see you later, cowboy," She pecked his cheeks and ran towards the direction of her house, leaving Jasper stunned at her actions.
A smile crept to his face.
He brought his hand to where she pecked his cheek, and he took his time to walk back to the house.
