Victory

"NOW YOU KNOW, THAT'S YOUR FUTURE. UNLESS YOU DECIDE ON ANOTHER COURSE," Alice says as she removes her hand from Aro's hold.

"We cannot alter our course. The child still poses a great threat," Caius denies.

"But what if you were sure she could remain concealed from the human world? Could we leave in peace?" Edward negotiates.

"Of course, but that cannot be known," Caius answers.

"Actually, it can," Edward tells him as he reads Genevieve's and Alice's thoughts, the main reason for their sudden disappearance.

"We've been searching for witnesses of our own among the Ticuna tribes of Brazil," Genevieve announces to the three kings.

As Alice motioned Nahuel and Huilen to make their presence known, they walked toward the middle of the field, standing beside Genevieve and Alice.

"We have enough witnesses!" Caius objects.

"Just let us explain, Caius. No need to be so snappy," Genevieve teases, and Caius just bares his teeth at her.

"Let him speak, brother," Aro says as he motions his hand to Nahuel.

"I am half-human, half-vampire. Like a child, a vampire seduced my mother, who died giving birth to me. My aunt Huilen raised me as her own. I made her immortal," Nahuel begins.

"How old are you?" Bella asks, her voice filled with hope.

"A hundred and fifty years," Nahuel answers honestly.

"At what age did you reach maturity?" Aro asks. He is also beginning to be curious about the hybrid, but Genevieve knows better.

Back in the Volturi, she already heard the rumors of women waiting in the temples offering themselves to the man of the night.

"I became full-grown seven years after my birth. I have not changed since then."

"And your diet?" Aro asks again.

"Blood, human food. I can survive on either."

"These children are much like us," Marcus speaks for the first time since they arrived.

"Regardless, the Cullens have been consorting with werewolves. Our natural enemies," Caius complains. He still wants the fight to happen.

Aro faces his followers and addresses, "Dear ones. There is no danger here. We will not fight today," Genevieve is sure that the vision Alice showed him scared him.

When they are traveling and looking for Nahuel, Alice told her of the outcome, that many lives will be lost, including hers and Jasper's.

The Volturi members looked disappointed, especially Caius and Jane, but they listened to Aro and left quickly; however, Aro stayed and looked at each one of them, eyes lingering on Genevieve, Alice, and Bella.

"Such a prize." Then he follows his army.

Genevieve lets out a big sigh. The confrontation with Volturi ended well. She hugs Alice and looks back at her family, and smiles when she sees Jasper waiting for her.

"We have them on the run. Now is the time to attack," A platinum blond, red-eyes vampire says.

"Not today," Carlisle says.

"You're all fools! The Volturi might be gone, but they will never forgive what happened here," The man beside the platinum blond snaps.

They were ignored, so they angrily took off and left.

Genevieve ran towards her mate, and they met in the middle, embracing each other as if the other would disappear any minute.

"I'm so sorry," Genevieve says as she buries her face on Jasper's neck.

"It's alright, I understand. You're here now, safe. That's all that matters," Jasper assured as she combed her hair.

"Genevieve," A deep voice says. She removes her face from the crook of Jasper's neck and looks at her brother, Greyson.

She removes herself from Jasper's hold and runs towards her brother.

"That is the last time we get separated from each other, Gen, or you're grounded," Greyson says as he hugs his younger sister tightly.

Genevieve laughs and shakes her head. "I'm not a child."

"Leaving the house without notice? And not coming back for weeks? Might as well be a rebellious teenager," Greyson sneers.

"Fine, I'm sorry. I love you, brother," Genevieve tells him while ruffling his styled hair, while Greyson just slaps her hand away and glares at her but smiles anyway.

"I love you too, sister," Greyson says.

BACK AT THE CULLEN RESIDENCE, thanking the vampires who are willing to be witnesses for Renesmee, they are preparing to go back to their homes.

"So, this is a good time to formally meet Jasper's mate," Peter greets with his mate Charlotte beside him.

"I believe so," Jasper chuckles.

"It was hard to believe that somebody tamed the God of War," Charlotte teases as she nudges Jasper.

"It wasn't that hard. He was already wrapped between my fingers the first time he saw me," Genevieve says as she looks at Jasper, who just kisses her on her cheek, he wasn't even going to try to deny that, he is already hers the minute Alice told him about her in the diner at Philadelphia.

The four chatted, and they also invited them to the wedding, making them stay with them for a couple of days.

"So what now?" Jasper asks her as they stand on the balcony, looking over their family, who is talking to the other witnesses.

"I believe there is a wedding to plan," A cheery voice answers. The two turn around, seeing Alice grinning joyfully.

"Am I invited to the said wedding?" A deep, accented voice greets Garret.

"Of course, who am I not to invite the vampire who traveled with Greyson and me looking for wars in every country," Genevieve smirks and hugs him.

"Good times, I believe," Garret answers.

"It is," Greyson says as he walks towards them, wrapping his arms around Alice.

"Now, enough chit-chat. We should be preparing for the wedding!" Alice claps happily as she orders the others to start clearing the backyard.
