"DIDN'T YOU FEEL SOME SORT OF MATING PULL TOWARDS JASPER? BECAUSE I DID WITH ALICE," Greyson says to his sister. They were currently in the living room watching a baseball game.
Genevieve recalls her last encounter with Jasper, and she did feel the mating pull towards the honey-blonde vampire. She admits to herself that she formed a little attraction towards him.
"I did, but you know we can't let our guard down. Remember when we did? This happened to us," She tells him while pointing her finger toward their body.
"I know, I know. We've been alone for so long, sister, and it's been 314 years. Can we at least give them a chance?" Greyson asks while turning his body to face her.
"Shouldn't I be the one who's supposed to ask you to allow this whole mate thingy, not the other way around?" Genevieve asks his brother while crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow.
"Yes. But I know you closed off your feelings because of what happened to us, so I raced you to it," He says while he faces the tv again.
"What's your thoughts on Jasper?" She asks while cleaning her fingernails.
"Seems like a gentleman. Wait, he has a Southern accent, right? When were you talking to each other in history? A southern gentleman perfect for you, little sis," Greyson smirks while his hand stays on his chin.
"I observed him, I saw the bite marks on the side of his neck, but it didn't scream "danger" it just angered me on who gave it to him. It looks hot, though," she notes to herself.
"Maybe he is your mate? They didn't even get the chance to talk to us because our anger issues took place," he tells her. He really wants to try and give the mating bond a chance.
"Who wouldn't get angry? We just recalled the most traumatizing experience in our lives," she says with a scoff.
"How about Alice?" He asks.
"She's pretty, very petite. I talked to her in the bathrooms. She's very chirpy and energetic, and I sensed a good aura around her," She says with a smile. She knows Greyson is seeking approval from her.
"She looks like an Angel, she has a bubbly personality, she's my little ball of sunshine," Greyson says while smiling just the thought of Alice makes him happy.
"Finally, someone can finally tame you and get you off your flirty ways," Genevieve says.
"Hey, I mean, I'll only be flirty with her, she's my mate, and those flings meant nothing, just an excuse to pass the time," Greyson reasons.
"That's such a player-boy thing to say," Genevieve says while rolling her eyes.
"Can you blame me? Being alive for centuries gets boring, but I finally have Alice. It won't be boring anymore," Greyson tells her.
"So we approve of our mates?" He asks.
"Fine twins approved," she groans, but she can't help that her mind lingers on the honey-blonde vampire.
"Give him a chance, Gen. I know you always say you're an independent woman who doesn't need a man by her side, but I see it. You longed to be loved and taken care of," Greyson says while taking her hand.
"Who doesn't? We've been alive for so long, not that I don't enjoy your presence, but I do. I longed for it," Genevieve sighs.
"So give him a chance, little sis. Let him in," Greyson says to her.
"I will" Genevieve gives him a soft smile.
"But if he hurts you or breaks your heart, I'll rip him into pieces," Greyson threateningly says.
"Overprotective much?" Genevieve smiles at him brightly. She loves his brother with her whole undead heart.
"I'm your older brother. Of course, I'll be overprotective, like isn't that obvious for the past centuries" Greyson rolls his eyes.
"You're only older by ten minutes," Genevieve scoffs.
"Still older," Greyson smirks.
"You'll always have my back, right?" She asks him softly, and He looks at his sister, and his features soften at her words.
"Always."
ALICE AND JASPER WERE SITTING AT THE SOFA in the living room. Comfortable silence engulfed the two until Jasper noticed that Alice's mood suddenly shifted.
"What's wrong, Ali?" Jasper asks while putting the book down on the coffee table.
"My very first vision of him was when I was changed, I always planned to meet him, but his decisions were quick. I was always too late," Alice tells him with a frown.
"Greyson?" Jasper asks.
"Yes. My first vision of him was meeting him somewhere, but his decisions always change at the last minute," Alice says.
"Maybe this is why they moved here. It wasn't your time to meet him back then," Jasper tells her with a comforting smile.
"We didn't even get to talk to them. They ran off before we could get to them," Alice says, sadness overtaking her mood.
"I know you've been waiting for him for a long time Ali, but maybe this is the right time. Let's try and talk to them tomorrow," Jasper says.
"What do you feel about this Jazz? You've been ignoring your feelings for so long after what happened to Maria," Alice says, carefully watching her words.
Jasper tensed at the mention of the name of the woman who used and manipulated him in his newborn years.
"Maria lied to me about being her mate. It was just an illusion, she took advantage of me, and I was too blind to see it," Jasper says sternly.
"You didn't know at the time, Jazz. Stop being so hard on yourself. Maybe Genevieve can change that," Alice gives him a reassuring smile.
"I felt at peace around her presence. Her scent gives me comfort. Do you think they felt it too?" Jasper asks her.
"I think they do. They've been closed off too. Something happened in their past," Alice says with a frown.
"Do you think it's related to the Salem Witch Trials? I felt the anger that radiated off of them. Especially Genevieve. I never felt anger that much before," Jasper says while thinking about what happened in their history lesson.
"I think so too, and they'll open up to us soon. Let's just give them time," Alice tells him.
"Is Genevieve the one you told me when we first met at the diner? That someone will be there for me?" He asks her.
"Yes. But her face was always blurred. I only got a clear vision of them when they arrived here in Forks, and I saw you both. You were so happy, Jazz," she tells him happily.
Jasper couldn't help but smile at Alice's statement, and he couldn't imagine that somebody was destined for him.
He was ecstatic.
He always thought that he didn't deserve a mate after the ruthless things that he had done in the past, yet she was finally here. So close, yet so far.
