YOU ADJUSTED THE TIE AROUND SONIC'S NECK, your eyes were trained on your hands while his green orbs were on your face.

you rolled your eyes at the mobian's smitten expression, hiding the blush rising up your cheeks.

ozzie had his tongue out, a pair of sunglasses and a black tie around his neck to match your looks.

tom and maddie entered the room, their laughs filled the space as you let go of the black tie, leaving the hedgehog to do his best impression of a fly attendant.

his glasses fell down to cover his eyes "welcome to mobius air, the fastest way to travel" he held the spatula in his hands.

you pretended to look at the clipboard in your hands "now boarding groups one and two" you called out.

maddie chuckled "aww, guys! this is so fun!" she tried to walk forward but the hedgehog's white glove stopped her.

"i'm sorry ma'am, you're group three." you stared at her from over your sunglasses and she took a step back.

"please wait your turn." asked nicely the hedgehog.

you looked at the clipboard again, biting the end of a pen "anyone from groups one and two?" you pretended to search for someone behind them "nobody?" you called again.

the couple shared a look, a smile on both their faces "just let them get it out of their system." murmured tom.

"now, everybody else" you held the clipboard between your arm and your side as you motioned towards sonic with your hands "this way."

"thank you." finally walked forward maddie, sonic pretended to scan her with a spatula — he even added the noises with his mouth — before he let her pass "and you, sir?" he talked to the man.

the human turned around as the mobian repeated the actions on him "terrible shirt detected." confirmed the blue alien.

you hid your snickers as tom accepted the insult "there we go."

"okay, you're free to go. enjoy your trip. bye-bye now" the mobian tried to get done with the goodbyes pretty quickly.

you waved your hand at them as you spoke too, "byeeee" you sing songed.

"okay" donut lord bent down at your level, opening his arms to gave you two a hug "bring it in."

sonic pushed the glasses over his head "tom, we're about to be aliens of the house for the first time." his arm went around your shoulder "i think we're a little mature to hug you goodbye."

you grimaced, pretending to find it hard to agree with him as you nodded along his words.

pretzel lady copied her husband position but she made a fist with her right hand "okay, what about a power bump?"

the man made a fist as well "power bump."

"power bump?" you mirrored them, a little hesitant.

you knuckles brushed theirs as you three turned to look at the blue hedgehog who smiled widely "yes! power bump! that's more like it."

after your family-power bump you all rose back up on your feet, and sonic threw tom a golden ring before they could head their way "okay, use this one to get back home." he told them.

they grabbed their things before their feet landed on the other side of the portal "all right, we're off. okay, be good!"

"yes, you have our number-" she reminded you.

"-on the fridge, we know!" you interrupted her with a big smile.

you leaned your elbow on the blue mobian's shoulder as he talked to the couple "sorry, we can't hear you, you're travelling through a cross dimensional portal!"

the ring started to close "miss you already!" shouted tom.

"have fun at rachel's wedding!" replied sonic as you waved at the humans.

maddie sent you an air kiss just before the portal closed and vanished out of the room.

you loosened your tie as the hedgehog turned to talk to you to remind you of your schedule "okay, it's 48 hours until they come back. we've got tv channels, streaming channels, a house full of food, and no supervision."

a smile grew on your face as he listed the things on his fingers, ozzie barked happily at the situation.

you smirked at him as he made his shades drop back over his eyes "let's do this."

before you knew it you were pushed around by a blue blur as 'here comes the hotstepper' by ini kamoze — you should have stopped the wachowski from showing him even more music — played in the background.

at first you two dressed with baggy clothes and lots of jewels, impersonating some kind of dancer.

you both kept your glasses as sonic convinced you that they were necessary for the costume, and after turning the volume up he started to dance.

you leaned against the wall as you watched him strangely move around, a lot different than how he had danced at the bar all those months before.

he looked at you staring and he moved his shoulders up and down in a way that he thought was quite sexy.

you laughed at him and, even if it wasn't the reaction he had been looking for, it was more then enough for him.

he grabbed your hands and he forced you to dance with him, you tried to tell him how dancing wasn't exactly your thing but he had shushed you with a quick peck.

you ended up copying his moves, following the beats of the music.

next thing you know your dance off expanded trough the whole house, from the kitchen table to the couch, where the hedgehog sent food everywhere.

you tried different hairstyles to go with your newest look, and you and him laughed as he put his quills in the craziest ones.

next thing you were skateboarding around the house — you had thought him how to and he claimed it was his new favorite thing.

you jumped over a pyramid of clean dishes, probably of crystal too, and you raced off to see who was the best skater, no powers admitted because he would have found a way to cheat, you knew it.

as you skated around more and more, even sliding down the stair's railing, he used one of his rings to buy more snacks.

"what do i get you?" he shouted from the other side of the house as you skated upside down.

"the black and white ones... rio, eos, i don't remember the name" you answered back as you jumped in the air to land back on your feet.

he bought your oreos before he decided that he needed a change of outfit, he ran past you to drag you into the wachowski's room and he started to dig around their closets.

he came back wearing a bow tie and a matching black suit that looked far too big for him.

your eyes scanned him from head to toes before you nodded in approval, you went to look into maddie's closet until you found the perfect clothes.

a dress — which was really, really long — and a scarf made of fur to held over your arms.

he whistled at you and you both spent some time pretending to be a rich couple dancing around town without a care in the world.

this last image bored you soon and he decided to spice things up by bringing the outdoor pool inside the living room, you added soap to the water to make bubbles as he adjusted the light so you could have a pool party.

you played around with the foam, throwing it at each other and laughing at the foam-beards he made.

when you found yourself laying against the side of the pool, the foam touching your shoulders and covering everything around you, a realization hit you.

you looked at the hedgehog bobbing his head along the beats of the songs and you smiled softly before you spoke.

"thank you" you murmured, loud enough for him to hear.

he turned around, his mouth slightly opened, foam sticking to his quills.

he tilted his head to the side "for what?" he chuckled as he moved at your side.

"for showing me what it's like to be a kid" you replied, your eyes trained over the pair of emeralds that were staring into your soul.

he smiled, proud of himself for succeeding in small mission and proud of you for being so open.

this was the moment to confess, you needed to tell him about your dreams.

you went to open your mouth before the phone started to ring, and you huffed out.

sonic ducked under the water to find his phone and 'facetime video from donut lord' was written on it.

you grimaced, looking around at the chaos that you two had caused "oh boy." you heard him mutter.

you pushed yourself out of the water, drying yourself before you called his name, "yeah baby?" he answered smugly.

you rolled your eyes before you pointed around you with your finger "clean, baby" you mocked.

the lights were back on, he flashed around the house to make things look normal before he grabbed your side to make you lay with him on the couch.

you punched him in the stomach making him groan in pain before he answered the call "aloha! how's it going buds?" you heard tom speak from the other side of the phone.

"oh, ya know. just a quiet night at home, settling in with a good book." as sonic tried — and failed — to lie to donut lord you pushed yourself under his arm to look at the screen.

"and you tom?" you asked, trying to change the subject.

the hedgehog nodded "yeah, what's up with you?"

"oh! just called to say we're here." he shrugged, still wearing his red shirt "but now, every word in your mouth is making me suspicious."

the man watched the way you glared at the blue alien but the mobian ignored you instead — signing his death bed.

the hedgehog tried to look unbothered "what?! you gotta relax buddy! you're at the 4 seasons oahu."

"you don't even know what that means" tom heard you talk back under your breath.

again, the other alien ignored your words "-have a mai tai! enjoy some time with your wife! get sunburned somewhere embarrassing! this weekend is about you."

you turned the screen in your direction "please tom, end the call so i can kill him" you whispered, doing your best impression of puppy eyes.

"well, we power bumped on it." the man chuckled at your threats "so whatever you two are doing, i'm sure he can undo it by the time we get home, yeah?"

"exactly!" nodded sonic, and your hand collided with his face to cover his mouth.

"he means, that we are deeply offended by such accusations!" you did your best to save the situation, but you knew that donut lord didn't buy it.

the mobian licked your hand, making you groan in disgust, and when he had his mouth free he started to talk again "so, how's rachel's fiancé? is he as good looking in person as he is in pictures?"

tom sighed "somehow, better looking."

"you're about to be the third best looking dude in the family." sonic winked at you and you tried to hide your laughs as you pushed his face in the other direction.

"you don't even count as a dude" you replied, making him gasps in offense before he turned back to talk to the phone "but you're still on the podium."

donut lord laughed at your comments before he looked around "all right, i better go introduce myself."

you nodded back, prompting him to go.

he pointed a finger at you two through the screen "stay out of trouble." his words made you giggle, knowing what you had been doing for the last hours.

the blue alien tried to cover your noises with his voice "touble? don't worry. everything here is completely normal."

ozzie entered the room, shaving cream covering his back, your eyes widened slightly before you stared back at the phone.

"goodnight, buds"

"goodnight" "'night!" you replied, talking one over the other.

the call ended and a moment of silence passed, your head tilted to the side to look at the blue hedgehog at your side "movie time?" you questioned.

"i grab the popcorn!"
