𝗯𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁

"𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓'𝐒 𝐀 𝐁𝐔𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐓 𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓?" your head was still in your palm as you observed the interaction from the side of the table, sonic had moved your seats one near the other and tom set right in front of you.

"a bucket list is, uh, it's a list of things you want to do in your life before you, well, kick the bucket." explained as best — and as family friendly — as he could.

"i've-" you finally moved your head from your hand as you looked into nothing to think "i've never kicked a bucket" you recalled, still a little confused about the topic.

"i've never kicked a bucket either! oh, I gotta make my list!" the happiness in the blue hedgehog radiated outside his body and you caught yourself smiling, once again, at his positive personality.

you blinked and he had a pen and a paper in his hands, ready to make the list.

he positioned a copy of the same items in front of you, printing you to copy his actions.

you found yourself slowly taking the pen in your hand as you thought about what you wanted to do.

you were so focus on thinking about your paper to realise sonic was having problems of his own, you looked up to see his face full of concern.

you called him, giving him a slight shove with your shoulder.

"what? what's the matter?" questioned tom.

"there's so much stuff i've never done, you've never done." he took a deep breath to calm his racing thoughts "and-and now that i'm leaving earth forever, i'm taking you with me and i, i'm making you miss your chance." you positioned your hand on sonic's one that was resting on the table.

he looked at you, he noticed that there was something sad behind your eyes , but it wasn't pity, and that was enough for him.

"after ten years our paths crossed again, we've each other, that's enough for my bucket list" you smiled as your whole body was focused on him, almost making it too much for his mind.

tom coughed in the background before sending a look that felt a little too much like 'sorry for ruining the moment'.

"and,i guess this is the kind of place you could get a lot of living done in a short period of time." you nodded in his direction, just a small almost invisible movement "i suppose we can spare an hour."

"what? you're gonna bucket list with me?!" he was incredulous, almost not believing the man's words.

you chuckled at his face as tom confirmed what he had just said.

then you felt an arm on your shoulder and you were dragged against the other mobian, your seat only on two legs almost falling.

"you won't regret this!" you tried to hide your smile into his quills and fur but you failed and you locked eyes with the human.

"oh, i'm pretty sure i will." you nodded, eagerly this time, as you tried to regain control of your expressions — and heart.

"definitely"

completing a bucket list was a lot more difficult than you thought.

first you and tom helped sonic with 'complete in a sport', he almost injured the waitress but you pushed her to the side just in time to keep her safe; winning with the basketball game was easy as sonic used his legs to make as much points as he could.

tom using you and sonic as balls.

next was 'tame a wild animal' and sonic wanted to ride the mechanic bull, he looked at you with a smirk as he easily held himself on it without falling, tom fake yawned at the slow speed before he decided to turn up the speed.

he threw a coin in the air, you caught it as it arrived at your height before pushing it inside the control machine, pushing some things and making it hit the maximum speed.

you and tom laughed as he was threw around, trying to hold on the bull for dear life.

"i'm a cowboy, baby!" he shouted looking at you, he blinked in your direction and you rolled your eyes pretending to be annoyed, your arms crossed on your chest.

just as those words left his mouth he was threw away, you held your stomach as you laughed at his upside down body against the wall.

you walked towards him watching as his face morphed into a scowl as he kept his eyes on you.

"you go then!" he told you wanting to challenge you, you put your arms on your sides,looking down at him.

you crouched down, taking his hat in your hands before pushing it into your head.

smirking at the blue hedgehog who was looking at you with big, green, eyes.

"alright, cowboy" you mocked him, he pouted crossing his arms and you chuckled again, signing to tom to let you go on it.

no need to say that you succeeded on staying on it even at the highest speed.

the last thing you did was dancing.

you observed as tom and sonic danced with other people, you sipped your drink as you smiled at them.

sonic locked eyes with you and he motioned for you to join them.

you told him no with a movement of your head but he insisted and you found yourself rolling your eyes once again as you jumped down  the seat, leaving your finished drink on the table.

sonic pretended to throw a rope around you — like a real cowboy.

you moved to the side, looking at him with a are you serious face ; but you weren't mocking him, it was more because it had been so easy to not get caught by the invisible trap.

he threw it again and once again you moved to the other side, coping tom and fake yawning at the hedgehog.

he tried one last time and this time you pretended that he had trapped you, he started to drag the fake rope towards him and you let yourself be dragged towards him.

when you arrived in front of him he put out one of his hand, tilting his body towards you a little.

"madame" he mocked with a weird, and wrong, accent.

you chuckled before giving in, your hand in his.

you quickly got lost in the music, the sound took over your brain as you let your body get controlled by the rhythm.

the other mobian was mesmerised by the way the colourful lights danced over your body, he took the lead in the dance and he watched as you didn't make any sign of complaint.

he made you swish away from him before grabbing you by your wrist to drag your body back against his.

he smirked at you, but as his eyes met yours it became a softer smile and you had to stop your brain from malfunctioning.

and you did that by taking control, you started to take the lead, and this time the smirk's on sonic face was because of a challenge.

but just as you guys started to fight — and dance — over who was supposed to be the one to have the control sonic pushed the lady behind him.

she turned around, and she found tom in front of her, the misunderstanding was inevitable and she gave him what she thought he deserved, a drink.

on his face.

i know that this chapters have more 'in between' types of moments in them so nothing really crazy happens but after next chapter things should start to get a little more crazy once again :))
