"𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐍 𝐓𝐎 𝐌𝐄!"
you voice was covered by the sound of the machine powering up, but it didn't stop the screams and grunts of mobians fighting out of the walls from reaching your ears.
your scream made the little yellow fox widen his eyes and you felt guilt swallow you, you put your hands on his cheeks, making him look right at you.
"just listen to me, alright?" you repeated, this time your voice was soft as you tried to comfort the little child as best as you could.
you were covered with dirt and different cuts, your clothes ripped and you probably had a concussion.
it didn't stop you from focusing on the only living thing that was in front of you.
he nodded fast, you felt his tears under your fingers and you looked into his watery eyes.
"you have to tell them that i headed north." you said sternly.
he nodded again, slower this time, and you knew that he was starting to panic even more; you moved your thumbs, caressing his face.
you smiled softly at him as you felt your own eyes starting to get shiny.
"where did i go?" you questioned him, marking your words.
he sniffled before replaying, "north." he murmured, his voice broke and you hugged him tightly against you.
"i'm not gonna let anything happen to you" you told him, talking against his fur.
he nodded for the third time, too tired and scared to try and think about using words.
you heard noises outside and you looked up to see the door moving, they were trying to break in; you moved him to your side with an hand on his shoulder before talking, still looking at the door.
"do what they say, and if they try to get the answers out of you tell them everything." only then you looked down at him.
"promise me." your voice sounded almost like a command and he moved his eyes away from yours.
"tails, please" you begged him, crouching down "i have to go or they will know the truth, but i can't if i know you're in danger" you added, he turned his head towards you again and he nodded.
now the tears were evident and his ears were down "i- i promise" you got back up before taking his head back into your hands, you gave him a kiss on the forehead and you turned around.
you moved an hand into your bag and you took out a golden ring, you threw it into the air as you thought about the place where you wanted to go next.
the noise outside had become even more high and you were about to run inside the portal before you turned one last time, you smiled at the kid and he tried to smile back.
"to the next time" you said before jumping into the ring and letting it close right behind you.
just when the portal closed the tribe broke the door, the chief walked in wearing the same suit as you, only less ruined, with her mask being a big skull and a gun held tight into her hand.
the yellow fox made a step back, scared of whatever would've happened next; the other mobian talked with a deep, dark voice.
"where is she?"

let's just say that measures weren't your strong point; you had thought it was gonna be a little jump not more than your height, turns out it was twice yourself and you had to roll on the ground to not brake any bones.
you hit some bushes before opening yourself up again, you took a deep breath as you remained in a starfish position.
you looked up at the sky and you saw all the starts, they weren't as beautiful as on mobius but they did looked good.
suddenly flesh of your little yellow friend arrived on your mind and you set up, gasping at the thought of not being there with him anymore.
you knew it was for the best, you had been a walking target for the past two years and even if you loved that little fox with all your heart you couldn't stand being with him while knowing that you were risking his life.
you moved your head from left to right trying to let those thoughts go, he was safe without you and you had to focus on surviving, again.
you took out the map, a dead flower was about to fall out but you moved your hands to keep it in his place.
it was the same as ten years ago, the blue had became brown and it felt like if you moved too fast it would crumble in pieces.
you reconnected with reality, looking at the little drawing of the planet where you were supposed to be now 'earth' was written near it.
"let's just hope that he's still here" you murmured as you closed it back again, sticking out your tongue as you searched for another thing.
a yellow square-like gadget was in your hands, you looked at it from all the sides before trying some buttons.
"came on" you gave it a little hit "what did tails said?" you asked to yourself trying to remember how you were supposed to use it.
finally you managed to turn it on and it showed you a blue dot at the center of the screen.
"does this means he's near or..." you trailed of as the map on the little screen moved showing the distance between you and your old friend.
"obviously, why do i even try" you groaned to yourself as you got up, ready for a really, really long trip.

days passed, and then it became a week and then two, finally after almost a month you found yourself in front of a sign.
it was the middle of the night, you wore a hoodie to hide your appearance as best as you could, the moon shone against the text but it wasn't enough to ready it clearly.
you opted for using a small flashlight to see better and you sighed happily as you finally read what you had been hoped for.
'green hills' you read in your mind, you hummed proudly to yourself, a small smirk on your face, you looked around to make sure no one had seen you.
you started to move towards the forest, knowing that it would've been safer and more easier to hide.
you tried to find a strategic point, somewhere near the city, but still hard to find.
after what looked like hours you finally found the perfect place, up on a tree there was a abandoned treehouse that you could easily use.
maybe for some child it was dangerous, but for a mobian like you it would've been perfect.
you climbed up into it and you started to look everywhere for some critical thing that could make everything fall and hurt you really bad in the process but thankfully there was nothing.
being to tired to adjust the others small ruined parts you made yourself fall over the group of pillow on the side of the room.
they smelled bad but you didn't care, you covered yourself with a ruined sheet hugging your own self tightly and in seconds you were asleep.
longclaw had made a good choice with this planet.
