𝖝𝖝𝖎. THE PARTY

HOPE
hey!

HOPE
i'm in the school, waiting on u

HERMIONE turned off her phone, pocketing it as she walked through the schools entrance. She had walked alone today, usually she walked with DeMarcus of late, but today she knew that she needed everything to go perfectly.

Walking through the halls, Hermione had no regard for anything or anyone around her, she just needed to find Hope. She walked over to the reception, Miss St. Claire — the Headmistress — sat talking with Hope, just sharing small talk about the school mostly.

"There she is!" Miss St. Claire beamed, standing up as Hermione walked through the door.

Hope felt slightly out of place, she was wearing her uniform from home but since it was a college, Hermione was wearing leggings and a simple white cropped t-shirt paired with the airforces, seeing them Hope had to stop a laugh coming out of herself.

"Hope." Hermione spoke, her eyes finally meeting the brilliant blue of Hope's.

"Well, girls, I can trust Hermione to show you around." Miss St. Claire then left, leaving the two girls alone.

Hope stood up as Hermione cleared her throat, "So, how are you?"

"I'm... good, now that your here." Hope answered, laughing afterwards, "Sorry, that was cringe as hell!"

"It was." Hermione agreed, shifting on her feet as she gained confidence in the conversation, her stomach fluttering with butterflies, "But, I loved it nonetheless."

"Good." Hope moved closer to Hermione, both staring eachother deep in the eyes, they didn't even realise they were doing so.

The bell rang, Hope took a few steps back and spoke, "What class first?"

"Art." Hermione answered, "We are painting today, so I think you'll enjoy yourself."

Hermione reached for Hope's hand, giving her a look as an ask. Hope nodded, taking Hermione's hand in her own and the pair began walking off.

"Hermione!" DeMarcus called out, causing Hermione to turn around to see the dark skinned boy.

"DeMarcus, hey!" Hermione replied, "This is—"

"Hope. Nice to meet you." DeMarcus interrupted, "So Charlie and I ended up throwing a party?! Someone posted online at our suggestion for getting the money for Vicki and... well, it's escalated."

"Where is it gonna be?" Hermione asked, Hope stayed in place as she scanned the corridor, comparing it to her school.

"Charlie's place."

"I can help set up, if you want." Hermione suggested, to which DeMarcus nodded.

"Your a lifesaver, Hermione." DeMarcus then walked off in the other direction leaving the girls be.

"I don't want to—" Hermione lead Hope up the stairs, towards the art classroom.

"Hope, your not going to set up. The reputation of your school relies on this." Hermione then reduced her voice to a whisper, "Of your secret." Hermione's voice went back to normal, "I wouldn't want to jeopardise that."

"Thanks." Hope smiled up at Hermione, the pair now standing in queue waiting for the art teacher. Hope's smile brought butterflies into Hermione's stomach and the girl felt as though she were finally happy.

"WHERE do we want the drinks?" Hermione called out, entering the house as she saw Charlie and DeMarcus had mainly set up.

Multicoloured fairy-lights hung around the tops of walls, a table with drinks and food was where DeMarcus was stood as Charlie finished hanging the last of the lights.

"Here's good." DeMarcus patted the table as he snuck in a cheesy crisp. Hermione made her way over there, setting the twelve pack of beers down.

"That's all you got?" Charlie asked, almost shocked at the small amount of drinks Hermione had brought.

"I have very weak arms, despite what my mother says." Hermione turned to Charlie with a fake smile, "And, Warrens been going through beers like they are water, so, take it or leave it!"

"Alright, fine." Charlie muttered, nervously raking a hand through his hair.

"Hope is coming later." Hermione informed DeMarcus. Out of the friend group, he was the only one who knew who Hope was, besides Ella whom Hope had met earlier.

People started to walk into the party, a boy wolf-whistled at Hermione so she pulled her blue mini-dress down further, she didn't want to attract any male attention. Or female, besides Hope, of course.

Charlie put on the music as people began to grab drinks, people started to pay DeMarcus to enter, as that was the rules.

Leah entered with her nose held high, she was wearing a red and white polka-dot crop top with leggings. "Hey, what do you want me to do?"

"Could you serve the drinks, Leah." DeMarcus suggested, Leah nodded and went over to the table. Hermione saw her give some girl a warm smile before giving her a cup filled with the liquid. So far, things seemed to be going well.

"Hey." Hermione turned around to find Hope and the pair went off to a quieter place together so they could talk.

"How are you?" Hermione asked, sitting on the bottom of the staircase, Hope sat next to her.

"I'm good, you?"

"Good thanks."

Hermione and Hope shared a look before bursting out into laughter, both of them snorting slightly.

"Why does your face make me laugh?" Hermione asked, making Hope laugh louder.

"I don't know!" Hope turned to Hermione, a almost sad look in her eyes, "It's not ugly, is it?"

Hermione brushed an auburn strand of hair from Hope's eyes and shook her head, "No, it's pretty... beautiful, even."

Hermione leaned in, fully ready to kiss Hope. Hope was fully ready to kiss her too, both of them felt a nagging voice in their heads telling them to just do it already.

Hermione's phone began to rang, her mother was calling her. "It's my mum." Hermione informed Hope, who now moved away from her face and stared at the wall.

"Hey mum!"

"Hello, darling, where are you?"

"I'm at Charlie's, why?"

"Just worried, I don't want my daughter to come home in pieces."

"I'm fine, mum, okay?"

"Good, good. I will be at the Loft with Grace and Warren if you need anything." Norma then hung up the call, making Hermione sigh and hang up the phone.

HOPE and Hermione had decided to dance, so here they were on the dance floor. A few men had tried to join them, but Hermione's warning glare had scared them off, that or Hope's compulsion.

Now they moved in sync, not touching but somehow in a rhythm so in tune that when DeMarcus saw them he gave Hermione a thumbs up, as though to say get the girl!

Hermione threaded her hands into her hair, thinking about how easy it would be to kiss Hope right now. And so, she did.

Moving in slowly, Hermione put her hands on Hope's waist, causing the other girl to giggle. She then moved in closer to Hope's face and pressed a kiss against her lips. Hope's lips were soft and tasted like cherries, Hope pressed her hands into Hermione's hair and kissed her back as she pulled at the brunette strands.

Small moans came out of both their mouths. Hope felt her vampire teeth extending, the urge to feed strong, but she held back. Both trapped in an undeniable state of euphoria, upon pulling away there were tons of stares and people looking at them.

"What?" Hermione asked, about to extinguish anyone who made any homophobic remarks.

"You and Mason?" Charlie asked, Mason stood behind him with a smirk.

"What the fuck?" Hermione asked.

"Don't deny it, Hermione, we both have been texting for ages. We kissed last night." Hermione laughed at Mason's idiotic remark.

"You wish, but sadly, Mason, I'm a fucking lesbian!" Hermione shouted, causing the crowd to make a lot of noise, either in a bad or good way Hermione didn't care.

"Come on, let's go." Hope spoke, dragging Hermione out of the party by her hand. Hermione didn't complain, she was glad to leave the party.

Eventually, the pair found themselves sitting on the bench that was on the bridge, staring at the village at night.

"Sorry, about Mason." Hermione apologised, "I barely know him, he's a loner and does things for attention."

Hope nodded, pulling her lips into a tight line, "It's okay, Mia. You can't predict people's actions." She then moved her hand to grab Hermione's, "I was hoping we could talk about the kiss."

Hermione then snorted, "Sorry, sorry. I'm trying to be serious but hopeing!"

Hope then laughed too, both breaking out into a fit of laughter. Eventually, it died out as the pair stared at the village in front.

"Is it crazy that since the day I met you, I just knew that you would be special?" Hope asked into the darkness, not turning to see Hermione staring at her with her wide blue eyes.

"No. Everything happens for a reason, I met you and I know now why that is." Hermione informed Hope.

"Why is that?" Hope asked, Hermione chuckled with a smile that could only been viewed as radiant.

"Because I met you to fall in love with you. Ad sure, I'm no where near that yet. But one day, I see us growing old... or both turning into vampires and getting out happily ever after." Hermione explained, "Is that crazy?"

Hope answered by smashing her lips to Hermione's, grabbing the back of her head as she savoured the sweet kiss. Both their breaths tasted like the punch, of which Charlie had added too much Sherry too. The taste wasn't great, but Hermione felt as though she had entered heaven.

And if she now died and entered hell, she would be able to tell the people exactly what heaven felt like. All because of her. Because of Hope Mikaelson, the most perfect woman she had ever met.

Hope pulled away, her eyes glowing yellow and veins under her eyes. "Look!" Hermione announced, pointing at the sky in front of the village. Fireworks went off, showing exactly what Hope felt, "That ever happened when you kissed a girl?"

"No. I think it's because your special." Hood reminded Hermione, who laughed lightly... angelically.

Both sat, Hermione cuddling into Hope's side as they watched the fireworks, Hope creating more as time went on in all colours Hermione wanted.
