VI. behind the power lines

MAVIS HISSES as Frazer places an ice pack on her hand that is stinging from the punch she gave Troy a few minutes ago, She can't believe what she had just done, but she felt happy that she did it like she was supposed to do it, she felt a rush of adrenaline,

The five kids sat outside of the principal offer as Troy was talking to him before the door opened and Tory stepped out Holding a tissue to his nose his eyes had purple-green growing underneath them,

"Mavis!" He shouts as Mavis looks At the four boys who are looking at her,

"I'll go in with her," Dustin says as Lucas shakes his head, "I'll go"

"No! I'll go!" Mike says with a sigh,

"I can do this on my own" Mavis mutters as she stands up Breathing as she looks at a true four boys,

"Wait for me after school at 3:15 sharp" Mavis smirks as she walks in the four boys watch as she walks in, before nodding,

"So Mavis, why did you punch Troy in the nose at break" he says as Mavis smirks and places one leg over the other,

"I punched him because he deserved it" Mavis admits as She chews her bottom lip,

"Mavis, you Almost broke his nose" he puts out before a knock on the door snaps their attention up,

"Jonathan!" She grins as the older boy walks into the room and takes a seat on the chair next to Mavis,

"And you are?"

"Mavis older brother, nice to meet you," he says as he shakes the headteacher's hand,

"How what did my Sister do this time," Jonathan asked, as Mavis smirked

"She punched a boy today at the break, almost broke his nose, he's on his way to the hospital now" he explains as Mavis continues to smirk, as Jonathan nods not wanting to be there any longer,

"Oh, right mum gonna kill you," Jonathan says the last part as A whispers as Mavis Smirk drops knowing he's right,

"We aren't gonna expel you or anything, just a month detention at lunch, you can tap her home now the detention begins tomorrow" Mavis nods as she stands up and walks out Jonathan follows, once they get out of the door Mavis sighs,

"Good one," Jonathan says as Mavis high-fives him, before walking out with a grin,

"Give me a second" she says as she rushes over to four boys who are looking at her,

"So?" Lucas asked as He looked at Mavis,

"A month of detention" Mavis shrugged as Everyone shook their head at her,

"See you at 3:15 behind the power lines?" she asked as she hugged Dustin, before hugging Lucas then Mike, before getting to Frazer and hugging him, making the boy smile as he hugged her back before she Leaned away and walked off looking over her shoulder seeing the four boys whispering as they look at her, before they get out of the building,

"So you're meeting them after school?" Jonathan asked as Mavis nodded and slid her bike onto the bike rack that she had found in a Bin after she lost a book she liked, she slid into his beaten-up car, sighed as she looked at her hand that was scabbing as the blood dry on it,

"Good punch though" Jonathan shrugged again as Mavis grinned and buckled herself up before Johnathan drove off, Mavis grinned as She watched the school Move out of a few,

Mavis and Jonathan stop in front of Hawkins High School where high schoolers all go to get an education or to get a boyfriend to hook up with, mavis steps out as Jonathan hands her some Papers that have her twin brother on them with a big smile, Mavis sighs as she takes this in,

Johnathan snaps her Out of her Thoughts as she shakes her head and follows him into the building holding the paper tightly across her chest, as she walks head down,

The bell rings as they walk out, Mavis rushing behind Jonathan as She wants to get home quickly so she can meet the boys after school, she turns her head to the car where three teenagers are sitting on it laughing,

"Hey, man," Steve says looking at the two as Mavis Looks at him with thin lips before looking at Johnathan who's looking at her,

"What's going on" he asked Softly as Mavis nodded agreeing with her brother,

"Nicole, here was, uh telling us about your work" Steve explains as Mavis looks at Steve,

"And we'd just love to take a look you know, as... connoisseurs of art"

"J, what is he talking about" Mavis asked as Johnathan looks her,

"I don't know what you're on about, Mavis just go in the car," Jonathan says as Mavis looks at her brother nodding her head before Johnathan walks to the side door before his bag gets taken off making Mavis's eyes widen,

"Please give me my bag... no, just, " Johnathan asked softly as Mavis Slowly stood there still as ever,

"Man, he is totally trembling, he must really have something to hide" Steve grins as he holds Johnathan's bag before placing it on the trunk, and slowly roots through it,

Mavis Sighs as she looks down at her Converse, cursing her brother, before Steve pulls out a few pictures making Mavis look at him, beige Tommy grabs one,

"Dude!" Tommy exclaims as Mavis walks over and pulls one out of Steve's hands, her eyes go wide at the picture, it was Nancy in the window with Steve with her shirt off,

"Johnathan, what are these" Mavis asked As she looked up at her brother with disgust,

"Mavis..." Johnathan says as Mavis shakes her head at him and Grabs her bike before walking away with it, hopping on it and driving out as Steve and his friends have a talk with Jonathan,

"Mike! I'm on my way don't go anywhere without me!" Mavis asked as She rode down the road with the radio in her hand, she peddled away as fast as her legs could take her, she groaned in frustration as she Slams the radio into the basket on her bike Before she continued to ride,

She gets to the wheeler's house and walks near the power lines, With a Smile she walks up to them, wiping the swear off her forehead forgetting about what happened with her brother and the pictures,

"Hey!" Mavis shouts making everyone look in her direction with a smile she rushes over Junoing over rocks still holding onto her bike,

"Mav! We were thinking for a second that you wouldn't show" Mike joked as She spots Eleven next to his bike,

"Sorry, went with Jonathan to put some missing posters up in the high school" Mavis explains as As Breathe wiping the sweat off her forehead as it was running down like a waterfall, she feels Light heated but pushes it away, not wanting anyone to know,

"Oh... well come on, we only have a few hours" Mike explained as Mavis nodded and hopped on her bike getting ready to set off, She looked over her shoulder and saw no black hair boy,

"Hey! Where is Frazer" Mavis asked as She looked around, Part of her wanted him to be there but the other half was glad he wasn't,

"Speak of the devil" Lucas mutters as Frazer Flys down the hill Landing Side first as his bike Flys over him and onto the ground, Everyone hops off their bike as they rush towards him, Mavis Looks at him as she stands and informs of him,

"Nice entry" Mavis grins as She holds her hand out for Frazer to take, once he sips and batted himself down, he grabs his bike,

"So... why are we still waiting around" Frazer asked as Mavis nodded and Walks away, 

"Are you ok tho?" Mavis asked as Frazer nods and Limps onto his bike his side hurt, but he was Pushing. The pain away,

The six kids all bike away, down the hill, Mavis Looks around, Before looking back in front, Another Light headed feeling makes her wanna puck, she Slowly hops off her bike and rushes over towards the trees gagging as She throws up, The light headless keeps getting worse as Mavis Body feels like jelly, Before she know it she's falling On her side, the ground Collided with her side, as she just lay there,

"Mavis!" Mike shouts as They all rush over to the girl who has a small cut on her forehead,

"What's happened," Frazer asked With a breath,

"She has Low iron or something" Lucas explained as Mike nodded,

"Mavis!" Dustin shouts as They all shake the girl,

Ten minutes go by as Mavis Groans a sharp pain hose through her head, as she Lift her head from someone,

"What the hell!" She mutters as Everyone looks at her, she rubs her eyes,

"You fainted again, But don't worry Mike snuck into your house and got them" Dutin says as Lucas Holds the orange bottle and some bottle of water,

"You what?" Mavis asked voice raising as everyone looked at her,

"Here just take it," Mike says as He hands Mavis the bottle and the water that he took of Lucas, She frowns as she Opens the bottle of pills and taps on into the palm of her hand before Placing it into her mouth and drinking the water, the cool liquid feels nice,
