~ Iron Heights Prison ~
Barry Allen is hunched over and examining the crime scene in front of him. Joe West then walked over towards him.
"Hey, Bear. The security cameras in the prison are shut down and then Clay Parker who was still locked in his cell vanished."
"Not completely," Barry said still looking at the crime scene.
"What's that?" Joe asked.
"It's a kind of organic residual. I found it on the floor in here just outside the cell out in the hallway trail led me outside." He prompted Joe.
When Barry got up and turned around to face Joe he saw a familiar face.
"Dad!?" He said smiling and rushed over towards his father. He hugs him tightly.
"Hey, Slugger," Henry said returning the hug.
"So, the word around here is that Parker pulled a Shawshank?" Henry asked.
"Yeah, and none of the other prisoners heard or saw anything," Joe stated.
"Well, if there is anyone that could figure out how Parker got out of here it's you son." He said returning a proud smile.
"Come on now. Let's go." The guard beacons.
"Say hi to Sophia and Caitlin for me," Henry said giving him a smile and nods goodbye.
"Will do," Barry said his face frowning a little when the guard ushers his father away.
Barry then turns back and faces Joe.
"So, my Dad just happened to come by?"
"The guard owed me a favor," Joe says.
"Thank you," Barry says smiling.
Joe nods and smiles back.
~ S.T.A.R. Labs ~
Caitlin is on her computer drinking a cup of coffee when Barry comes behind her and kisses the top of her head.
"Watcha doing, Cait?" Barry asked.
"Analyzing the particles that Clay Parker and Shawna Baez left behind." She answered.
Barry nods and smiles.
"I also found something very interesting. When Clay's samples come in contact with Shawna's they adopt their properties." She pointed out towards the screen and bites her lip.
"What's wrong, Snowflake?" Barry asked.
'Nothing." she said quickly.
"Come on, Cait. I know that look."
"What look?"
"That biting your lower lip thing you do when somethings bothering you."
She sighs and nods.
"Okay, you got me. I'm just frustrated. We've been busy with all these Metahumans and they have taken so much time out of our day that we haven't even planned for our wedding yet." she said crossing her arms over her chest.
"I know what you mean. I just want you to be mine already." Barry said and snakes his arms around her waist pulling her closer to him.
"I'm already yours, Bear. I just wanna stop going after these Metahumans for a while and start planning for our wedding but that's unreasonable. We have a job to do and that is to protect the people of Central City." Caitlin said.
"How about I take you out on a date tonight. We can still look out for Clay while we are at the place I'm taking you to," he suggests.
"I'd like that," she said sweetly.
Suddenly there was an alert on the computer
"There's an armed robbery in progress. Two suspects male and female in their twenties. It sounds like our metahumans. Bonnie and Clyde are at it again." Caitlin said reading the information from the screen.
"I'll be back in a Flash." He smiled playfully at her and kisses her softly before speeding out.
~ Karaoke Bar ~
"Really? A karaoke bar? You know what happened last time, right?" Caitlin pouted.
"Yeah, but come on. We need some time to relax and have fun again. Plus you love it when I sing for you, Babe." Barry said and holds her hand.
"You do make some good points. Okay, fine." Caitlin said and they entered holding hands.
The couple walks to a table. Barry pulls out the chair for Caitlin.
"Always the gentleman," she said blushing and smiles. She then takes her seat and he pushes it in. He then takes his seat and the waiter comes. They order a few drinks and food.
"It's very nice having time for us. Work always seems to get in the way of us having our precious moments." Caitlin said.
"Yeah, I know and I'm sorry. With my day job as CSI and then being the Flash. It's just hard to juggle everything." Barry said.
"You don't have to apologize, Bear. I'm not mad. I signed up for this crazy life too. Now I didn't expect it to turn this crazy with you being a hero and me being your doctor and scientist but I'm okay with it. Let's just promise each other that we'll do better next time and spend more time with each other." Caitlin said and holds his hand. Barry nods and kisses her hand. He then smiles.
"We have quite the romantic life, Snowflake. Fighting bad guys—" Barry starts.
"—Nearly giving me a heart attack every week—" Caitlin added.
"—And spending our time as a couple watching Netflix and eating leftovers which then leads to chilling," Barry said laughing with Caitlin.
"Yeah, we should be going on lots of dates." Caitlin agreed.
"Hey, maybe we can make a push to go out on more dates after this one, Mrs. Allen," Barry said smirking.
"I'm not Mrs. Allen yet. Soon though, Baby." Caitlin said smirking back.
"I can't wait for you to be my wife, Cait."
"And I can't wait for you to be my husband, Bear."
The couple then leaned into each other and kissed passionately. The waiter comes back with the adult beverages. They break apart and smile blushing. Caitlin sees the drinks and smirks.
"Well, here's to getting married," Caitlin said and chugs the pint of beer.
Barry looks on with amazement.
"Wow, that's impressive. You drank all of it." Barry shook his head in amusement.
"Excuse me!" Caitlin called out to the waiter. He walks to the couple. "I would like to start a tab." She said and turned to face Barry and grinned. "Might as well have some fun!"
~ Later after a few more drinks ~
"MR. BARRY ALLEN! come on down."Caitlin said as she was on the karaoke stage, beaming and looking absolutely adorable.
Barry shook his head vehemently, but she only smirked. "Oh, come show 'em watch you got. I know you can sing. Come on. Barry! Barry! Barry!" Soon the entire bar was yelling his name.
He gets up on stage and she places her hands on his chest.
"We are gonna bring this place down." Caitlin slurred. Barry just smiled at his adorable girlfriend.
The music started, and Caitlin bopped back and forth to the beat of the music.
"Oh, you have to be kidding me... Summer Lovin'? Really?" Barry whispered to himself with a smile.
~ A Song Later ~
"I can't believe you still remembered that song. You were so drunk when we sang it last time." Barry said helping his girlfriend down the steps and over to their table.
"Yeah, It was our first date. Of course, I remember it." Caitlin slurred taking another sip from a glass.
"I'm not sure that was even mine. I have to go to the bathroom." She stated before turning away from him and stalking away towards the bathroom.
"Okay," he laughed as she left. She's so cute when she gets drunk. He goes to the barkeeper.
"I'm, can I close up my tab?" he asks.
The man didn't pay attention to him until a woman spoke.
"Hey, Stevie! Can my friend here tap out?" the female voice commanded.
"Sure thing, Linda." He said smiling at her.
"Um, thank you, Linda." Barry smiled.
"You're welcome, Barry." Linda smiled back.
He was instantly on alert. "How do you know my name?"
"Barry, Barry, Barry," She reminded him.
"Oh, right. Sorry about that." He felt a blush creeping up to his neck and hoped he hadn't made too much of a fool out of himself.
"No problem. So, was that your girlfriend?" She asked.
"No. She's my Fiancée." Barry stated proudly.
"Well, you guys were adorable up there. Hopefully, I'll catch you guys around."
Barry thanked her again before she left to join a group of people on the other side of the room.
"Barry, I don't feel so good." She mumbled.
While she threw up in the parking lot, Barry held back Caitlin's long brown hair and rubbed her back soothingly. He then picked her up and flashed her to their apartment. When they arrived in the hallway she looked around. "Are we still running?" She mumbled dizzily.
"No, we're here."
"Vodka and Super-speed. Not a good combination."
He laughed softly and eased the coat off of her shoulders. Caitlin tottered into the apartment throwing her shoes in the corner. Entering their bedroom.
She reached behind her neck and parted her curls and unzipped her dress.
The sound of rustling fabric stopped.
"Little help, please?" Caitlin said standing with her dress caught around her midsection, black bra completely revealed.
"Are you trying to seduce me?" He said smirking
"Is it working?" She said trying to sound seductive.
"Yes. But I can't you're drunk, Baby," Barry said and kisses her temple.
Using his super speed he located her PJs and changed her. Caitlin tilted her head in surprise for a second, then glanced at the dress on the floor. "Huh. There you go again. Saving me from that evil dress."
"Time for bed," Barry said and rolled his eyes, laughing.
"Thank you, Teddy Bear. Tonight was awesome. I love you." she said.
"I love you too, Snowflake," Barry said and kisses her goodnight.
Barry curled his arms protectively around her and they both fell asleep.
~ Much Later ~
Shawna had been locked up, the grief that her lover abandoned her still showing itself on her face. Barry and Caitlin turned and began to walk out, while Cisco and Sophia closed the doors.
"Crazy is right," Barry commented.
Caitlin smiled adorably at him. "Some people are worth being crazy for."
"I don't know what I would do if I didn't have you in my life. I'm so crazy for you. I love you." Barry said looking at her with love and admiration.
"I don't know what I'll do without you too. I'm crazy for you and I love you." Caitlin said. The couple then kissed and hugged.
