~ S.T.A.R. Labs ~

Harrison Wells and his team are doing more tests on Barry.

"Mr. Allen, it looks like your cells are vibrating at an incredible speed," Dr. Wells said.

"Your DNA has been changed by the dark matter from the Particle Accelerator giving your body the ability to run at super-speed," Sophia added.

"So, I'm a superhero!?" Barry said looking confused and excited.

"Awesome!" Cisco said giving him a high five.

"Yes, but I'm concerned that there might be others like you with these abilities," Dr. Wells said.

"I think we should test you out to see how fast you are going," Caitlin suggested.

Harrison Wells and his team are preparing to measure the performance of Barry.

"You don't really believe he can run that fast, do you?" Sophia asked.

"Well, I believe anything is possible, and in a few minutes, maybe you will too," Wells said.

"How does it fit?" Cisco asked.

"It's a little snug," Barry answered.

"Mister Allen, while I am extremely eager to determine your full range of abilities, I do caution restraint." Dr. Wells said.

"Yeah," Barry said.

Barry gets up and starts running.

"Whoo-hoo!" Barry yelled in excitement.

"He just passed 200 knots per hour," Cisco said impressed.

"That's not possible," Sophia said.

Caitlin smiled proudly.

Barry revises his mother, surrounded by lightning, and remembers this yellow light human form, he noticed near Nora.

"Mom!" Barry yells.

"No! Barry!" Nora yelled.

"Mom!" Barry yells again.

"Don't! Don't let him touch you!" Nora yelled again.

The last thing he remembers is fatigue and darkness taking over. He ends up in a row of cans marking the end of the track.

"Barry!" Both women screamed. They rushed to Barry's side.

"Ow, what happened," Barry said waking up feeling dizzy.

"It looks like you had a distal radius fracture," Caitlin said.

"Had?" Barry asked.

"It's healed. In three hours."

"How is that even possible?"

"We don't know. Yet."

"You really need to learn how to stop." Cisco piped in.

"What happened out there today? You were moving pretty well, and then something caused you to lose focus." Dr. Wells asked.

"Was it About Mom?" Sophia asked.

"Yeah, Sophia I started remembering, our mother being murdered. It was late, a sound woke me up at first I thought it was you, sis. I came downstairs, and I saw what looked like a ball of lightning. Inside the lightning, there was a man. He killed our mom. They arrested our dad. He's still sitting in Iron Heights for her murder. Everyone, the cops, the shrink, they all told both of us what we saw was impossible. But what if the man who killed our mom was like me?" Barry replied.

"Well, I think I can say unequivocally you are one of a kind."

"Hey, it's okay. We were kids back then we couldn't stop it even if we tried don't blame yourself," said Sophia

"But that still doesn't explain why you stopped running emotionally yes but physically?" Dr. Wells said.

"What did you feel when you were running?" Sophia asks him.

"Dizziness," Barry replies.

"You must have passed out. We should try the Treadmill that Cisco made to track your movements." Caitlin said.

Barry stepped onto the treadmill and started to run he picked up the pace and went faster.

"Look, Dr. Wells, his glucose levels are going down massively," Caitlin pointed out.

Barry passes out again.

"Not again." Barry groans as he wakes up.

"It looks like when you run fast your metabolism is also going fast," said Sophia

"We're going to have to make a Diet plan for you so you don't pass out," said Caitlin

"By eating a lot like ten times your weight every day to keep up with the calories you burn," said Cisco

"You still wanna go see Iris and Joe?" Caitlin asked.

"Yeah, you wanna come?" Barry asks her sister.

"Okay." She nods.

~ Central City Bank ~

A man walks towards the bank counter clerk. A lowered cap hides his face; he gave a paper on which is written: "This is a robbery."

"Is this supposed to be a joke?" The clerk asked.

"You tell me," Mardon replied.

The man brings out a fog. The large window and the ceiling fall apart, creating a panic in the bank.

~ Jitters ~

Barry, Caitlin, and Sophie walk to jitters when Iris sees Barry she jumps into his arms dropping the pot of coffee.

"Oh my God! You're awake! Why didn't you call Caitlin?" Iris asked.

"Well we were kinda busy," said Caitlin giving a wink at her.

"And we were also testing him making sure he doesn't have any side effects," Sophia added.

"We watched you die, Barry. You kept dying and your heart kept stopping."

"Well, I'm okay now. My heart still beating."

"We're glad your back, Bartholomew," Iris said in a teasing tone.

~ Police Station ~

"Oh, you scared the hell out of us, kid," Joe said.

"Yeah, that was quite the nap you took there, baby-face. And you still look twelve." An officer commented causing the group to giggle.

"You look okay. Are you really?" Joe asked concerned.

"Detective West, we've got a 5-50 in progress at Gold City Bank. Two dead. Storm's really picking up on the south side." A policewoman said.

"Grab your rain gear. I'm sorry, Barry, I gotta run." Joe said leaving.

"Do you need my help?" Barry asked.

"No, you take it easy. There'll be plenty for you to do once you've settled in. Let's go partner." Joe said.

"Hey, Allens. Dr. Snow. I'm glad to see you're still kicking Barry." Eddie said.

"Thanks, Eddie," Barry said.

"Hey, Iris." Eddie smiled.

"Detective, you should go, my dad doesn't like to be kept waiting," Iris advised her father's partner.

"Glad you're back," Eddie said to Barry before leaving.

"The night of the explosion, Clyde Mardon shot and killed Chyre. Mardon and his brother died trying to escape their plane crash." Iris explained.

"Well, I've got to go. See you guys later." Iris said.

"Me too. I'll meet you back at S.T.A.R. LABS later handsome." Caitlin kisses him goodbye.

"Bye Cait," he said

"What is all this?" Singh asked.

"Witnesses from the robbery at Gold City Bank. Perp made off with 200 grand, more or less." Joe answered.

"Catch this guy," Singh says.

"The windows blew in, it was like a hurricane. Everyone ran for cover." The ticket clerk said.

"We're gonna have a sketch artist work with you if you feel up to it," Eddie said.

Eddie joins Joe.

"Third robbery in a month, where a freak storm precedes it. Sounds like one of those Wide World of Weird cases Barry's obsessed with." Eddie tells his partner.

"He's not obsessed," Joe responded.

"Guess you haven't read his blog."

"The security cameras at the bank?"

"Apparently, they all shorted out."

"Well, we've got a bunch of witnesses here. They all have cell phones."

"The sky went black, and then boom! Outside was inside. Man, it was like there was a thunderstorm, in the bank." A witness said.

"Vukovich, the suspect is driving a black Mustang, partial plate."

"Copy that," Joe says.

~ Bar ~

"Can I help you, Detective?" Iris asks.

"You can stop acting like you can't stand me when your dad's around," Eddie answered.

"Aww. But I like having a boyfriend who isn't shot to death."

Barry and Sophia see them kiss.

"You can't tell my Dad. He doesn't know about me and Eddie." Iris said.

"I was gonna tell you. When you were in the hospital, Eddie covered my father's shifts so that we all could both be with you. I thanked him with a cup of coffee, and things just kind of happened. And it's good."

"It's okay, Iris. Your secret is safe with me. Right, Sophia?"

"Right."

"But you've gotta tell him soon. He's a Detective. He'll find out sooner rather than later."

"Thanks! You guys are the best" she said hugging them.

Barry sees a police car pursuing another car. The police car skidded and drove over them. Barry protects Sophia. Having recognized the bank robber, Barry launches in pursuit, enters his car, and causes an accident.

"Barry!" Sophia asked getting his attention.

"Hey! Mardon!" Barry called out.

Mardon fled on foot, creating thick fog.

Later, Barry, Sophia, and Iris attend the rescue of injured people in the accident caused by the police car.

"Barry! Iris! Sophia!" Joe called out.

"I'm all right, Dad. We weren't hurt." Iris said trying to calm her father.

"What the hell were you thinking Iris here. No, no, no and I told you! When you see the danger, you run the other way! You're not a cop!" Joe yells.

"Because you wouldn't let me!" Iris snapped.

"You're damn right!"

"Joe, I need to talk to you," Barry said.

"It can wait. Sophia, what were you doing? You could have gotten hurt!"
Joe went on.

"I'm sorry, Joe," Sophia mumbled.

"No, now. I know who did this. It's Clyde Mardon. I know, everybody thinks he died in a plane crash after the Star Labs explosion, but he is alive. All right, something happened to him that night. I think he can control the weather. The recent robberies, they all happened during freak meteorological events. And when I just confronted Mardon, the street was instantly enveloped in fog. Of course, you don't believe me. You never believe me." Barry said.

"Okay, you wanna do this now? Out here? Fine. Mardon is dead. There is no controlling the weather, Barry. Just like there was no lightning storm in your house that night. It was your brain helping a scared little boy to accept what he saw." Joe said.

"My Father did not murder my Mother!" Barry yelled.

"Yes, he did! Your father killed your mother, Barry. I am sorry, son, but I knew it, the jury knew it, now he's paying for what he did."

"He would never hurt her Joe!" Sophia yelled.

"There's a first time for everything."

"Dad, enough!" Iris said stepping in.

"No, Iris! I have done my best to take care of the both of you since that night, and I never asked for anything in return, not even a thank you, but what I do ask now, is that you both for once in your lives, see things as they are." Joe said.

Barry and Sophia walk away furious as angry tears stream down their faces.

"You're not going to believe this. We've got the eyewitness' sketch of the robber from the bank job. If I didn't know better, I'd say that's Clyde Mardon. But that's impossible, he's dead, right?" Eddie said.

~ S.T.A.R. LABS ~

"Hey, baby," Caitlin said smiling.

"Hey, Snowflake." He said sadly.

"What's wrong? Why are you two crying?" Caitlin asks worriedly.

"We fought with Joe," Sophie said.

"What was it about?" Caitlin asks.

"It was about our Mom. He said that we had to accept the fact that our Dad killed her." Sophia cried.

"Come here. It's okay." Caitlin said. She hugged her.

"Is Dr. Wells available?" Barry asks her.

She nods.

"Dr. Wells, I wasn't the only one affected by the particle accelerator explosion, was I?" Barry asks him.

"We don't know for sure," Wells answered.

"You said the city was safe, that there was no residual danger. But that's not true. So, what really happened that night?" Barry asked.

"Well, the accelerator went active, we all felt like heroes, and then, it all went wrong. A dimensional barrier ruptured, unleashing unknown energies into our world, anti-matter, dark energy, - X-elements..." Wells said.

"Those are all theoretical," Barry said.

"And how theoretical are you? We've mapped dispersion throughout and around Central City but we have no way of knowing exactly what or who was exposed. We've been searching for other metahumans, like yourself." Wells says.

"Metahumans?" Barry asked confused.

"That's what we are calling them," Caitlin answered.

"Sophia and I saw one today. He's a bank robber, and he can control the weather." Barry informed them.

"This just keeps getting cooler," Cisco said.

"This is not cool! All right? A man died. Mardon must have gotten his powers the same way I did. From the storm cloud. He's still out there. We have to stop him before he hurts anyone else." Barry responds.

"Barry! That's a job for the police." Wells said.

"Yeah, I work for the police." Barry snapped.

"As a forensic assistant," Wells added.

"You're responsible for this. For him." Barry states.

"What's important is you! Not me. I lost everything. I lost my company. I lost my reputation. I lost my freedom. And then you broke your arm, and it healed in three hours. Inside your body, could be a map to a whole new world genetic therapy, vaccines, medicines, treasures, Barry. Deep within your cells. And we cannot risk losing everything because you want to go out and play the hero. You're not a hero. You're just a young man who was struck by lightning." Dr. Wells said.

Angry, Barry runs away.

"Don't ever talk to my brother like that." Sophia snapped.
