"This isn't even remotely atomically correct." Caitlin complained, trying, and failing to get another piece out of the "body" she was "operating" on.

"That's not the point, Snowflake," Barry told her, flashing over and neatly picking a piece up. He gave her a wink that sent a tingle down her spine, then rushed away again to hit the ping pong ball back to Cisco.

"Then what is the point?" She asked him in exasperation, pushing her hair out of her face from where it had blown when he ran away.

"To have fun!" Barry cried, hitting his ball back and forth with Cisco a few more times, waiting for her to try again.

She did, but the buzzer rang out and filled the room with noise. Caitlin blushed and humphed. Barry ran over and gave her a mock pout. "Not use to being worse at something medical than anyone else are we?" He teased.

Caitlin reached out a hand to hit his shoulder but he was already on the move again. She rolled her eyes.

Dr. Wells rolled his wheelchair into the room. "Your accuracy is getting better, Mr. Allen. I'm impressed."

"Thank you!" Barry beamed.

Caitlin laughed at his facial expression and tried once more to lift out a piece. BUZZZ. "Oh, I give up." She groaned. "You win, Babe."

"Maybe on that he does!" Cisco crowed triumphantly, taking advantage of Barry's distraction and scoring another point in their ping-pong game, "But he just LOST with this! Burn."

"Oooh, I call next! You and me Cisco." Sophia challenged.

"Oh, you're on." Cisco accepted.

"I wanted to tell you I finally found a topic for my blog!"

"Tell me it's not your brownie obsession because I'm sure that's something that shouldn't be broadcasted out on the world wide web." He teased.

"Ha-ha... No, I'm writing about the mysterious streak that's been cited all over the city saving people."

"You believe that... Come on that sounds made up." Barry coughed.

"You of all people should believe this."

You have no idea. Barry thought as they made their way to his Lab.

"Look, Iris... it's not safe for you to blog about this stuff... You're just going to attract all the weirdos to your front door."

"Barry it's anonymous. So, don't worry about—"

As he walked with Iris into his lab a familiar voice interrupted their conversation making her presence known.

"I can vouch for that. The internet's full of weirdos and nerd rage... lots and lots of nerd rage."

"Oh my god, Felicity! What's up?" Barry said and hugs her.

"Hey, Felicity!" Iris said and hugs her too.

"Hey, Barry. Iris." Felicity said.

"Well, it looks like you guys have some catching up to do. I'll talk to you later," Iris said and leaves.

"So, what are you doing here? It's good to see you and all wait... Is Oliver in trouble? Does he need my help?"

"No, I just wanted to see you and Caitlin. I heard you were out of the coma and you didn't call. You didn't race over!" She hinted with a smile.

"Oliver?"

"He didn't need to. I overheard you talking on the rooftop."

"I want to see it."

Barry gave her an odd look.

"I-I mean your speed."

Barry scouted around the area them his eyes go to an apartment building towering about 20 floors over the park.

"You see that building keep an eye on it." He said drawing Felicity's attention in the direction of the building.

"You took a picture of me?" She breathed out astonished. "Omg, Barry! You're on fire!"

Barry looked down and saw embers sparking little flames. Stamping his feet he managed to extinguish the flames.

"Oh, that happens sometimes..." Barry breathed. "And that's why I have a friction-proof suit." Barry beamed thinking about it.

"What?"

"I'll show you."

Barry led her out of the park and towards S.T.A.R Labs.

~ S.T.A.R. Labs ~

It had been a slow morning at S.T.A.R. Labs. Caitlin had nothing really to do besides put away files and to allow the computers to run facial recognition for Leonard Snart. Caitlin was putting away equipment when she overheard distant voices. One she knew was Barry's but the other sound familiar but she couldn't remember who it was. Walking out of the medical bay she sees Barry and Felicity.

"Omg! Felicity!" Sophia and Caitlin said in unison. They then run up to Felicity and hugged her tightly.

"It's so wonderful to see you again Felicity but just wondering... How much of our operation you need to know," Caitlin said.

"Oh, you don't need to worry. I'm really good at keeping secrets," Felicity reassured with a warm smile.

"She works with the Green Arrow."

"Which obviously you do not!" Felicity lightheartedly accused poking him in the side.

"Sweet!" Cisco commented from behind his desk. "Now everything makes sense! You know who the Green Arrow is!" He glanced at Barry. "Wait... Do know who the Green Arrow is?"

"Well, um..." Barry stuttered.

Felicity cut him off, rescuing him from an awkward situation. "Let's just say that my team has a similar setup but with more pointy objects."

"Welcome Ms. Smoak," Dr. Wells said, surprising him all with his entrance at the doorway. Felicity's ponytail whipped around as she turned, nearly slapping Barry in the face.

"Dr. Wells?"

"Please call me Harrison, Felicity." Dr. Wells smiled graciously.

"You know who I am?" Felicity's eyes turned round gasping in surprise.

Dr. Wells continued to list everything that Felicity had ever accomplished, and a beaming smile stretched across the blond's face. Caitlin looked at her high-heeled feet, suddenly feeling very accomplished. Barry noticed this and put his arm around her waist and gave her a warm smile. He kissed her temple. Caitlin smiles. At that moment the computer alerted them to a confirmed location on Snart. Caitlin pulled up the location on the computer.

"Looks like he's at the theatre." She said.

"I'll be back in a Flash," Barry said with a goofy smile.

He then kisses Caitlin goodbye.

~ Moments Later ~

"It still hurts." Barry winced as he dropped his shirt down.

"If your body didn't heal so fast... you're lucky to be alive" she stated her voice gentle.

Sliding off the bed Barry turned to face the team. Running his hands in his hair he let out an exasperated breath.

"Snart had this gun. It slowed me down... that I wasn't fast enough to save someone." Barry closed his eyes. The memory of seeing the life drain out of his eyes... Barry wasn't going to forget it anytime soon. "How did he get something like that?" He asked the team his eyes pleading for help.

"S.T.A.R Labs built the cold gun." Barry was startled to hear Dr. Wells's voice. He hadn't noticed that he was there lurking in the corner under the dimmed light.

"Dr. Wells and Caitlin had nothing to do with it. I built it" Cisco interjected looking pointedly at Barry.

"You did! Why?"

"Because speed and cold are opposites. I built it to stop you." Cisco stepped forward his face in pain as he prepared to explain everything to Barry.

"Look I was just taking some precaution-"

"Precaution! Dude, we've known each other since high school." Barry moved forward slightly towering over Cisco.

"We built S.T.A.R Labs to do good and it blew up. In the wake of that, you can see why Cisco did. He wanted to prepare for the worst." Caitlin eased her way towards Barry trying to calm him down.

"I get that! But what I don't get is why you didn't tell me! After everything we've been through, I thought you trusted me. I thought we were friends!"

"We are Barry!" he pushes past Cisco, Barry made his way out of the room.

"Barry..." Cisco pleaded.

Turning on his heel Barry faced Cisco, his expression softening his face painted with pain and regret.

"If you could have told me... I could have been prepared. But instead, someone died tonight."

"And I'll have to live with that."

~ The roof of S.T.A.R. Labs ~

Barry Allen is looking at the city skyline thinking about everything that had happened today.

"I knew you would be here," Sophia said.

"I couldn't hear myself think. I needed to clear my head."

"You know after Ronnie died I came back to work at S.T.A.R Labs and there were days where I found myself alone knowing he was no longer here with me anymore. One day I couldn't think let alone breathe and somehow I found myself up here. This place is where I'd go to when I needed a place to breathe and to be alone."

For a few minutes, He stood there silent.

"Umm... I know you're angry at Cisco and everyone but-"

"I know. I do understand where he was coming from. I'm sorry it's just someone died tonight and knowing I couldn't do anything... that I wasn't fast enough... It was just like the night our mother died."

"It wasn't your fault. Barry, no matter how fast you are... there are some things you can't outrun... like pain. Life is tragic. But it's also precious filled with sweet moments and extraordinary people. You have your family and friends. No matter what you'll always have somewhere to go."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome, you lovable dork." Both siblings laughed.

Back in the cortex, Caitlin was busy looking for Snart while Cisco was trying to devise a way to counter-react the effects of the cold gun. You

A ping on the computer alerted them to Snart's current whereabouts. He was at a train station, looks like he was planning on a getaway. Barry appeared suited up. You

"So, by looks of this. Snart just boarded a train bound out of Central City." He

"Look, Barry-"

Caitlin sees her boyfriend turn off his earpiece. Why would he do that?

"You turned off your earpiece... How are we supposed to communicate to one another?" Cisco asked confused.

"I don't feel much like talking."

With a streak of yellow Barry was now gone. Caitlin watched after him. She couldn't understand how he could still be so angry at Cisco.

"You can't let him do this alone!"

Caitlin spun around as Felicity moved her way towards them. Seeing reason in Felicity's eyes Caitlin knew she was right. Barry may be fast but he wasn't invincible.

"She's right, Cisco." Caitlin piped up looking down towards him.

"You heard him, Felicity! He doesn't want our help!"

"True... he may not want it but he does need it. He was hurt. But now what's more important is that you have your partners back no matter what." Sophia said.

Caitlin was now empowered by Sophia's words and she will do whatever it took to keep the man she loved away from harm. Sure she may not have superpowers but she knew even heroes needed saving.

Felicity hacked into the street cams and gasped at the sight of a train hurtling down the track. Caitlin glimpsed as a figure in a parka leap from the train. Then the train broke apart. Cisco leaped to his feet and ran out of the room. Caitlin stared after him, wondering what he was doing.

"Oh my gosh." Felicity breathed. "Look." She was pointing towards the corner of the screen, where Captain Cold was striding towards Barry's form. Felicity zoomed the camera in to get a better view.

Then she was being grabbed by the arm, and Cisco was tugging her with Felicity and Sophia running behind. Dr. Wells was left calling after them, asking what they were doing.

They arrived at the site for the train crash. Caitlin, Sophia, and Felicity grabbed part of Cisco's machine as he hurriedly explained his plan, and they all ran to where Cold and Barry were.

"Drop it!" Cisco commanded.

Re-adjusting his focus, Barry caught the familiar faces of Caitlin, Sophia, Cisco, and Felicity. What the hell are they doing here? Any sense of relief that he had just felt was washed away by an overwhelming fear for their safety.

"This a prototype cold gun. Four times the size, four times the power."

"I wondered who you were talking to," Snart smirked looking back down towards Barry.

"Hey, unless you want a taste of your own medicine. I'd back the hell up." Cisco demanded more sternly.

Barry was glad to see Cisco. He wasn't mad at him anymore. He understood where his intentions were and couldn't blame him for being cautious. After all, the world around them now showed more possibilities than any of them could have imagined before.

"Your hands are shaking... you've never killed anyone." He retorted.

"Actually, I have... Captain Cold." Cisco glanced down at Barry, sadness in his eyes.

Barry knew what he meant. The man from the theatre.... his death that they all now must carry with them. Out of nowhere, Caitlin's voice came ringing out.

"Back away or we will shoot you!" She shouted.

A second of uncertain fate passed before Barry watched as Captain Cold raised his firearm.

"You win this time, Kid."

Snart turned and faced the other four and his gaze caught Caitlin's and Sophia's.

"I'll see you around, Hero." He smirked before heading for an escape.

"Hey, leave the gun," Cisco called out.

"Don't push your luck, Kid." He breathed back.

"Barry!" Caitlin had dropped the contraption that they had been carrying and rushed to his side. He was glad to see her. He felt his heart rate ease as her hands found a way into his.

"I couldn't shoot him if I wanted to. This is the S.T.A.R Labs vacuum." Cisco laughed.

Caitlin ran over to Barry and helped him sit up. "Hey, let's get you warmed up."

He didn't respond, instead reached over and clapped Cisco on the shoulder.

"Thank you," Barry said. Cisco nods smiling. "I gotcha back always."

~ S.T.A.R. Labs ~

"You should be good." Caitlin smiled.

He poked his bare abs and frowned. "Will it always be this blue?"

She laughed and shook her head. "No, your skin should return to normal with time. Here." She handed him a warm rice pack, which he took and pressed to his stomach with a sigh of happiness.

Barry then hugged Caitlin. She buried her head in the crook of his neck

"I'm sorry, Cait. I was mad at Cisco, not you."

"It's okay. I understand. I'm just glad you made up with Cisco. Even hero's need saving once and a while."

"That they do." He smiled and they kissed.
