Something was on my top. Something sinister. It was holding me down.

I tried to shout. But, nothing came out from my mouth.

I couldn't even move any inch of my body, despite the fact that I couldn't shout aloud.

No matter what, I still didn't open my eyes. I felt like I will regret very badly once I open them.

Within few minutes, I got some feeling back on my toes. So, I wiggled them repeatedly and my body slowly recovered from the dead freeze.

Once I could actually move my whole body, I opened my eyes and sat up.

I looked around.

The room looked quiet, aside the sound of river flow. There was nothing unusual. But, my mind refused to calm down.

There was something in my room. Maybe it was hiding.

I didn't knew if I should still stay in my house or not. But, at the end, I decided to stay there. Maybe, due to the fact that I was always quite adventurous since I was a kid.

After some time, mom got back home. Till then, I stayed in the house with very caution. I was ready to come fact to face with a headless or burnt spirit anytime.

I explained everything to mom. Mom was concerned. She didn't think it was just a dream of mine. She indeed chose to believe me.

That was really a relief when I expected the total opposite reaction from her. It's mostly because there was a cemetery at the backyard of our house, just a wall separating them.

After some time, I realized that what I actually experienced was a "sleep paralysis".

I watched an english supernatural horror film with the concept of sleep paralysis a week ago or something. And, now the same thing happened to me.

I have to say, it was really a coincidence.

This is something which I experienced. It's true that I added some flavour in between to make it extra horror. Mostly, what I wrote here is based on what I experienced.

It could count as the only paranormal that I experienced until now despite my house situated just as where as I mentioned in this story. (There is one more too, but idk if it should count as a paranormal one)

I am a night person and I mostly do my chores at night, so obviously I do laundry at night at the backyard and I have never experienced anything paranormal till now.

Tbh, I don't think sleep paralysis is happening due to some spirits or something. But, I still counted this experience as paranormal, since what I experienced was too real to be dream. I could still remember each and every detail as it happened yesterday.

To the people who don't know anything about sleep paralysis:

Sleep paralysis occurs during REM ( Rapid eye movement). It happens when you dream the most at night. In order to prevent yourself from doing any self harm as you acting out your dream, your body paralysis itself.

Sleep paralysis happens when you wake up during this, since actually you are still dreaming. It says that whatever you dream will enter in your room. It is used to call "Old hag disease" back in the days. It is advisable to move your toes repeatedly once you got some sensation back on them for recovering from this state fastly.
