28th of January...finally, this day is here!

Previous year, on the very same date, Karan confessed his feelings to Monami, and she was on the 7th sky after listening to the three magical words from his mouth.

Let's celebrate it with a lovely OS...

Karan and Monami are in a live-in relationship and are living in Mumbai, in a very beautiful house which they bought together. Monami has completed her training and is now an Army doctor, but she only goes for some special missions whenever needed. Otherwise, she works in Mahajan hospital only as the senior surgeon. Whereas Karan is now Lieutenant Colonel and is the head of the academy and supervises the training of the new batch of Ghar Ghar mein soldier.

Right now, Monami is in their home as she has applied for a holiday today. She was sitting on the dining table with her one hand supporting her chin. She was thinking about something dreamily and was smiling wide.

She was thinking about their heartfelt confession which happened a year ago in academy's hanger area. She chuckled remembering how she forced him to say 'I love you' to her again after their cave confession.

Namqeen si baat hai har nai si baat me

Flashback ~

Monami (in a fed-up tone) - Bol do na, Karan!

Karan was already fed up with her constant nudging. He removed his boxing gloves and before Monami could say anything further, he kept his palm on her mouth preventing her to say anything. He came closer to her and there was very little distance between them. Karan was looking into Monami's eyes with immense love, respect and passion for her. He gathered all his courage and...

Karan (huskily) - I love you, Monami! I really really really... love you! 💗

Monami was completely awestruck on his sudden confession that tears of happiness started to brim in her eyes. She walked a few steps backwards in order to calm her dancing heart down. Even Karan felt light from inside as he has finally conveyed his feelings to the one and only. Monami ran towards him in excitement and as Karan couldn't balance, they both fell down on the floor with Monami on top of him. Both started to stare into each other's eyes deeply and were giving an ear-to-ear smile.

Monami - I love you too, Khadoos Shergill!

Be-shumaar raatein, behisaab baaten

Paas aate aate ghum ho jaati hain

Be-khudi me dhalke, be-kari me jalke

Sau hazar yaadein namm ho jaati hain

Monami let out a deep breath in confusion.

Monami - Aaj meri aur Karan ki 1 year proposal anniversary hai! I should make it special...for both of us! Kya karu? Kya karu?

Monami was thinking hard about an idea to make this day memorable and suddenly popped up in her mind and she stood up excitedly.

Monami (excitedly) - Yes! This going to be the best day!

Feeka feeka pal beete kal ka

Mehka-mehka kal ho jayega

Kadmo se milon ka wada ho jayega

Monami tied her open hair in a lose bun and went determinedly towards the kitchen and pulled out some essential equipment like big knife, small knife, chopping board and some common vegetables like potato, tomato, onion, garlic and ginger. She was going to start chopping them when her phone rang, and it was Sid's video call.

Sid - Hi bro, kaisi hai? And before I forget, happy anniversary Moti billi!

Monami - Thank you so much, Sid!

Sid - To, aaj kya-kya karne wali hai mere to be jeez bro ke liye? Something special...at night? Hn?

Monami blushed profusely and Sid started teasing her and she passed him a fake glare.

Monami - Sid, main soch rahi hoon ki aaj na main Karan ke liye uski favorite dishes banau.

Sid - Bro... favorite dishes banana bhi kuchh special hota hai kya? Unke liye koi surprise date arrange kar ya fir kuchh bhi romantic types kar. What is this favorite dish and all, bro!?

Monami - I know, Sid but Karan likes everything simple and subtle, no extra vagance things. (With a sheepish smile) Aur vaise bhi mostly Karan hi dinner banata hai kyuki mujhe to aata nahi. So, I've decided to make all his dishes and I'm very sure ki use ye surprise bahot pasand aane wala hai!

Sid - Ok, you know him more than me. Chal, bye bro...mujhe zara kuchh kaam karna hai academy ka.

Monami - Good going haan, Sid. Seems tu bade dhang se Bundelkhand wali branch sambhal raha hai. Chal, bye bro!

Sid cuts the call and Monami again gets engrossed in preparing for her surprise.

Monami (to herself) - To ab mere paas saari needed sabziyan hain, masale bhi hain and cake ka material bhi hai. I'll make Biryani, Shahi paneer, Kheer and cake for my Khadoos Shergill, kitna pasand hai use ye sab. But wait a sec, cake or kheer banana to mujhe aata hai, Shahi paneer ki recipe internet se mil jaegi, but Biryani! Karan likes proper biryani jo mujhe banani hi nahi aati. Ab kya karu!? Chal chhod, baad mein sochenge.

Monami switched on the radio and coincidentally, it was 'Lae dooba' playing on it. She wore an apron and started making the batter of the cake while remembering the sweet moments she spent with Karan when she was preparing academy's new year party cake.

Flashback ~

Monami was making the batter and suddenly Karan enters the mess with some boxes.

Monami - Ka..Karan, zara tum ye batter taste karke bataoge, kaisa bana hai? Cheeni theek hai ki nahi?

Saying so, Monami forwarded a spoonful of the cake batter towards Karan. But instead of holding the spoon, Karan held Monami's hand sending chills in her spine. Looking at Monami's surprised expressions, Karan understood what he did and took the spoon from her embarrassed.

Karan - Perfect!

After complimenting, Karan literally ran out of the mess and Monami shyly tastes the batter with the same spoon from which Karan tasted and blushes hard.

After a few minutes, Karan again came and Monami accidentally touches the hot pan, and her finger gets burnt. Karan immediately held her hand and dipped it in cold water. Karan's touch on Monami's hand was giving both some unknown sensations and both were blushing while looking away.

Monami slaps her forehead slightly remembering those moments. She sees that the oven is perfectly pre-heated, and the batter is also ready. She quickly puts the batter in the cake mould and places it in the oven to bake. She gets engrossed in making Shahi paneer.

The scene shifts to the academy, where Karan and Faizi are sitting in Karan's cabin and were discussing over random things.

Faizi - Kya baat hai Janabji! Aaj to aapki aur aapki mohtarma ki proposal anniversary hai, shayad isiliye kuchh zyada hi chamak raha hai aapka chehra.

Karan (slightly blushing) - Kya kuchh bhi bakwaas karta hai tu bhi Saand.

Faizi - Vaise kya plan hai aaj ka? Tune koi planning ki bhi hai ya bhool gaya tha apni anniversary?

Karan - Main tere jaisa nahi hoon jo itna important din bhool jau. Maine ek bahot hi beautiful Chinese restaurant mein booking karvadi hai. I'm sure Rani Sahiba ko bahot pasand aayega!

Faizi patted his back and they again got indulged in their work.

At MoRan's home, Monami has already cooked Shahi Paneer and the cake is also ready. She has somehow managed to cook Biryani for Karan, the way he likes, under the guidance of Barkha Bhabhi via video call.

Monami has kept the cake on the kitchen slab and was doing icing on it.

Monami (reading what she was writing on the cake) - 'Happy Anniversary, my loving Khadoos Shergill!' Kiske liye likh rahi hoon ye sab? (With a sad pout) Karan ko to aaj ka din yaad hi nahi hai! Anyways, main to use surprise kardungi.

Intezar sa hai, imtihan sa hai
Itminaan sa hai, kya hai na jaane
Ittra rahi hai, ittela huyi hai
Inteha huyi hai kaise na jaane

She looked at the time in the wall clock and was shocked.

Monami - Oh shit! 7 baj gaye. Karan aata hi hoga. Decoration is done, food is cooked, bus mera taiyaar hona bacha hai. Vo bhi kar leti hoon.

Monami ran to their bedroom and started getting ready. In no time, it was 8.30pm and as soon as the bell rang, Monami's heartbeats increased as she knew that it's her Khadoos Shergill only. Monami excitedly opened the door and Karan was mesmerized looking at her. She was wearing a shimmery white saree and her open hair were bouncing on her shoulders. Her bangs were giving a very cute look to her.

Karan entered the room and got one more surprise. The whole room was decorated with white and golden fairy lights all over. The room was scenting as of his favorite perfume and the food was elegantly placed on the dining table.

Karan - Monami...ye sab?

Monami went and stood back facing him with an angry pout.

Monami - I knew tumhe kuchh yaad nahi hoga. Aaj humari proposal anniversary bhool gaye, kal ko mujhe bhi bhool jana!

Karan smiles and shakes his head and went near her. He backhugged her and gave her a bouqet of her favorite flowers, making her surprised. He then took out a pendant from his pocket and placed it in her neck making her gasp. It was written M & K on it.

Karan (huskily) - Bhala dil bhi kabhi apni dhadhkan ko bhool sakta hai kya!?

Monami smiles wide and hugs him. Both stood in the hug for a while feeling each other's love.

Monami - Matlab tumhe yaad tha?

Karan nodded his head in a yes.

Chhalka-chhalka pal beete kal ka

Karan - Ji Rani Sahiba, yaad tha ki aaj hi ke din to aapse 'I LOVE YOU' kaha tha!

Monami chuckles and hides herself in his chest.

Karan - Aur vo to achha hua tum already taiyaar ho, maine ek bahot hi sundar sa restaurent book karvaya hua hai. Chalte hain!

Monami - What!? No Karan! Maine aaj apne haathon se tumhare liye tumhari favorite dishes banai hain. Don't spoil my plan like this.

Monami whined like a child making Karan 'aww'. Karan nodded and went in their bedroom to freshen up and there only, he canceled the reservations as well. As soon as he came out, his nostrils flared, and his mind went blank due to the delicious smell of the food cooked by his lady love. He went to Monami who was standing near the cake and was very overwhelmed by the efforts Monami has put.

Karan (by holding her hands) - Thank you Monami, thank you so much meri life mein aane ke liye!

Monami - Thank you nahi, vo bolo jo bolna chahiye!

Karan chuckled and nodded.

Karan - I LOVE YOU, RANI SAHIBA!

Monami's eyes twinkled, and she smiled widely.

Monami - I LOVE YOU TOO, KHADOOS SHERGILL!

Karan lovingly kissed Monami's forehead and she closed her eyes in anticipation. She too kissed his eyes and then his cheeks. They both sealed their beautiful moment with a soulful, deep and passionate kiss. They were kissing as if they were exploring each other's heart and were finding only and only love. After a few minutes, they broke the kiss panting hard and looked at each other with shyness.

Monami (pointing towards the cake) - Ye to dekho!

Karan saw the beautiful cake made my Monami and they both cut it together and fed each other. Later, they sat on the dining table and Monami served every dish she made to Karan.

Karan (amazed) - Rani Sahiba, itna sab kuchh karne ki kya zaroorat thi?

Monami came and sat on his lap encircling both her arms around his neck sensually.

Monami - Aise-kaise zaroorat nahi thi!? I wanted you to know about my cooking skills.

Karan and Monami stared into each other's eyes and then shared a good laughter. Later, they enjoyed the delicious food made by Monami while talking and reminiscing their special and romantic moments. While Karan was flirting throughout and Monami was blushing profusely.

Aadha aadha aadha aadha ishq...

That's how MoRan celebrated their 1-year proposal anniversary with a romantic yet domestic vibe and environment <3
