Kathleen was sleeping next to Robin, they were all sleeping after the strange happenings at the Wheeler's house. She was telling the girl about her father and her sentiments about the graveyard late at night. They fell asleep in one other's arms that way.
Her eyes fluttered open slowly as the voice of her cousin filled the room. " Eddie?" She sat up, whispering. Only to notice Nancy talking into the radio. She breathed blissfully, knowing Eddie was safe and that they hadn't found him yet.
She untangled herself from Robin and sat up gently. "Nance, do you think I could talk to him?" She asked quietly, not wanting to wake anyone asleep because they were all presumably fatigued from the recent events.
Kathleen smiled as the brunette nodded and handed over the radio." Hey, didn't anyone ever tell you that bossing people around is impolite? " She said something into the radio. There was silence before she heard laughter on the other end, which made her grin.
"It's nice to hear your voice, can you make sure they get the good stuff when they go shopping?" Eddie spoke into the radio. " Nancy has already declared for me to stay here, and she's clearly the boss, so."
"Just stay there, we'll come get you soon," she added before seeing Dustin and Nancy had vanished.
"Don't worry, no one will know I'm out here, just get me some food or I'll starve to death." Eddie muttered before putting the radio down as it crackled to stillness, and she rolled her eyes at his dramatics before deciding to get up and head upstairs.
As she entered the kitchen, she noticed Max drawing with her headphones on with Holly, as Dustin and Nancy sat around them. " Pancakes, my dear." She turned to see a cheery Karen Wheeler bringing her breakfast.
Thankfully, she grabbed the platter. "Thank you for your Mrs Wheeler." She answered with a slight smile that she didn't know much about the Wheeler's outside their being a nice little family, so she didn't mind them at all.
"Please call me Karen." She remarked this as she walked around the counter to prepare more meals, most likely for everyone else when they woke up.
Prior to settling up between Max and Holly, Kathleen grinned at the older women. " May I?" She said as Holly handed her some crayons, As the others began to converse, she and the small girl began to draw.
"Maybe you infiltrated his mind.He invaded your mind, right? Is it that big a leap to suggest you somehow wound up in his? Like Freddie Krueger's boiler room." Dustin suggested, holly perked up as she heard the name.
"Freddy Krueger?" Holly inquired, her eyes brimming with curiosity as she looked about the room.
"He's a super burned-up dude with razors for fingers. And he kills you in your dreams. " Dustin explained, completely unaware he was talking to a little girl about a horror movie.
"Dustin, try a softer description or just stop talking." Kathleen remarked this while showing Holly her own drawings.
"Sorry. It's a movie. It's not real." Dustin apologize before turning back to Max. "Just... think about it. What if you somehow unlocked a backdoor to Vecna's world? Like, maybe the answer we're looking for is somewhere in this incredibly vague drawing." He suggested, looking down at the drawing before sighing. " God, we need will."
"No shit. But I tried them again this morning, and it's the same busy signal."
"Is this a window?" Nancy asked, pointing at the drawing.
"Yeah."
"Stained glass with roses."
"Yeah. See? I'm not so terrible after all." Dustin rolled his eyes as Max mocked him.
"Yeah, well, it helps that I've seen it before." Nancy said, as she started to rearrange the drawings. Kathleen examined the drawings. Noticing that it was various parts of a house.
"It's pieces of a house." Max Stated.
"Not just any house. It's Victor Creel's house." Nancy said, everyone looked at each other. This Creel dude was slowly getting on Kathleen's nerves.

When everyone arrived at the Creel house, Kathleen immediately disliked the atmosphere and felt like she was in a Scooby Doo episode.
"What exactly are we supposed to be looking for in this shithole?" Steve asked, looking at the group as they all stood infront of the house.
"Maybe a new personality for you, you could really use it." Kathleen commented as she saw him approach the door.
"Ha ha, you're so funny. " As everyone moved out of the way, Steve began to peel the nails out from the door.
"We just know this house is important to Vecna." Nancy says, looking at the broken house.
"Because Max saw it in Vecna's red soup mind world?" Steve questioned.
"Maybe it holds a clue to where Vecna is."Dustin says, "Why he's back. Why he killed the Creels. And how to stop him before he comes back for Max."
"We don't think he's in here." Lucas asked, Kathleen certainly hoped he wasn't here.
"Guess we'll find out." Max only shrugs in response.
Steve took the last piece of wood and tossed it on the ground. Steve reached over and attempted to unlock the door, only to discover that it was unexpectedly locked. "It's locked. Should I knock, see if anybody's home?"
"I know you're joking, but if someone actually answers, I'm going home." Kathleen commented as Robin moved to pick something up.
"No need." Robin stated that as she was clutching onto a rock. She flung the rock through the glass, cautiously stepping forwards inside the now-broken window, and unlocked the door as it slowly opened.
"Well done, super hero." Kathleen winked as she moved past the girl on her way inside with the others. Robin merely smiled at her as she walked gently behind them.
"Looks like someone forgot to pay their electric bill." Lucas said, as he tried to flick the light switch on.
"Where'd everyone get those?" Steve questioned, looking around as everyone had their flashlights out.
"Do you need to be told everything?" Dustin says, annoyed at the question. "You're not a child."
"Thank you." Steve rolled his eyes as he dug into Dustin's backpack for a flashlight.
Kathleen looked about, admiring the spider webs that hung from the roof. She was really fond of spiders, she thought they were pretty cool."Hey, guys?" max asked, everyone turned around to see the grandfather clock that stood near the stairs. "You all see that, right?"
"Is this what you saw? In your visions?"
"I mean, it's... just a clock." Robin suggested, looking at Kathleen, who simply shakes her head. "Like a normal old clock."
"Why is this wizard obsessed with clocks?" Steve questioned. "Maybe he's, like,a clock maker or something?"
Everyone turned to face him. "I think you cracked the case, Steve." Dustin sarcastically commented.
"All I know is the answers are here. Somewhere." Nancy said. "Okay, everyone stay in groups of two. Robin, upstairs." She said to Robin who just nodded in response. "Come on. Let's go."
Kathleen stood there watching as Nancy and Robin went upstairs. She smiled as she turned to face Steve and Dustin. "I'm trapped with the wizard and his clock maker," she explained. Observing the two of them roll their eyes.
"Come one, let's go before the house decides to bring in an unwanted guest." Steve said as he began to walk away. Dustin looked at Kathleen, who simply shrugged as they followed him.
Kathleen entered a room that appeared to be a small children's room. She touched the bed, recalling her own bed as a child. "These poor people." As she gazed around, she thought to herself.
She walked out of the room, feeling a strange emotion, when she felt a hand grab her. She jumped slightly when she noticed Robin standing nearby. "Robin, has no one told you not to sneak up on people."
" Sorry, I lost Nancy, so I decided to look around and found you." She shrugged, but the blonde girl could tell she was nervous.Kathleen gently grasped the girl's hand.
" It's all right. You are not required to put on a brave face for me or anyone else. I'm terrified as well, especially after recent events." Kathleen rubbed the girl's thumb as Robin smiled back.
They heard some disturbance and went down the hallway to see Nancy plucking spiderwebs out of Steve's hair. "If there's a spider, you're never gonna find it till it lays eggs and the babies spill out." Robin joked as they passed. Kathleen laughed at her words.
"What's wrong with you?" Steve questioned. Kathleen giggled more at his words. "Robin, seriously." Steve spoke again.
"Oh, Steve, maybe you can become Spider-Man." Kathleen explained as the two moved away from Steve and Nancy. They proceeded along the corridor in search of other rooms.
When they heard someone call their names, they decided to go down to see Max and Lucas standing there. A light was flashing on and off, which appeared to be inconvenient.
"It's like the Christmas lights." Nancy said, realization hit her.
" The Christmas lights?"
"when Will was in the Upside Down, the lights... came to life." Nancy explained, Kathleen nodded now curious.
"Vecna's here. In this house." Lucas said. "Just on the other side."
They glanced at the light as it began to fade. "I think he just left the room." Robin said, causing Kathleen to move closer towards her.
"Did he hear us?"
"Can he see us?"
"Wait, wait." Nancy said, turning of her flashlight. "Everyone, turn off your flashlights and spread out."
"We're not gonna be able to see if we turn off our flash... lights." Steve started. Everyone started to span out, Kathleen looked at every step she took closely not wanting to do anything wrong.
"I got him." Robin yelled out. The rest of the group instantly moved towards her, her light immediately went out. "I... I had him."
Steve's light flashed. "Oh, whoa. Oh, I think he's moving. He's moving. He's moving." Steve repeated, he started moving until the flashlight went out once again. "Shit, I lost him."
Max slowly walked away, as she looked up to see the light coming from out underneath the door. "No, you didn't." She said, they opened the door to see stairs that was leading up towards an attic.
"It's an attic. Of course it's an attic." Robin mumbled, as they started to make their way up the stairs.
"Hold up, guys. What if he's leading us into a trap?" Dustin said, trying to stop the group from heading up the stairs. "Guys, guys."
Everyone ignored his objection and continued walking as they gathered around the sole light bulb that was still flickering. Electricity buzzed their flashlights together, resulting in a ball of electricity and light.
It began to grow bigger and brighter until it shattered, producing waves of energy that blew out every light in the area, leaving them in the dark. "Holy crap." Kathleen spoke in hushed tones.
