Kathleen struggled with her emotions since her heart had been broken and her soul had been lost and buried. She felt alone once more, and she was unsure of how to digest everything.

She lost Chrissy, Eddie and her house. Everything is gone, she wasn't even aware of her father's current location. Piece by piece, it was torn to shreds. Perhaps her father has gone as well. Leaving her in Hawkins all alone.

Everyone in Hawkins was packed up and fleeing in order to avoid joining the satanic community that has taken over the town of Hawkins. All the worrying and shouts that Jason had yelled out to the town's people, they all pointed the finger at Eddie and claimed him responsible for everything.

Her blonde hair was wrapped up in a sloppy bun which now had black running through it which remind her of Eddie. Kathleen stuffed another piece of clothing into the box. Before applying tape, she completely closed the box. "Eddie would laugh at the way your hair looked and thought it was ridiculous." A voice spoke to her from behind.

"Remember, Eddie dyed my hair blue don't forget, I highly doubt he would think this Is ridiculous." Kathleen remarked as she turned around to see Robin standing there holding a box. They were back inside the Wheeler's home, assisting them in gathering donations for everyone who suffered a loss during these terrible times.

Kathleen sighed shakily as Robin approached her.

"I just don't know what I'm going to do without him, I already miss his stupid laugh and dumb words." Kathleen said as Robin placed her hands into hers. "I loved him, Robin, he was my best friend, and now that he's gone, I have no one, and I know I shouldn't say that because I have you, Steve, Dustin, and even Nancy."

"You can feel however you want, Eddie, Steve, Dustin, Nancy, Max, and Lucas will always be people you love. I will also love you, I'm just glad I can say it now and properly." Robin kissed the girl's hands as she brought them to her lips. Kathleen flushed slightly.

Kathleen whispered, "I love you too." as she kissed Robin, and the other girl grinned. The two stood alone in the lounge area. Kathleen stepped back after a minute. "We should probably take these out." She stated that as she went to pick up a box.

They both stepped out to see Nancy talking to her mother and Steve discussing plans with Dustin. "You're not fighting again, are you?" Kathleen laughed as she slid the box into the rear of the automobile.

"Someone order a pizza?" Mrs Wheeler asked. A pizza truck approached the Wheeler's driveway.

"Pizza?" When Dustin inquired, everyone turned to look at the van. Will, El, Jonathan Mike, and someone Kathleen didn't know all emerged from the van, which was entirely unexpected.

The group began to go down the driveway, instantly reconnecting with everyone. Kathleen watched as Robin consoled Steve as Nancy cuddled Jonathan. Kathleen felt guilty for feeling sick seeing them all reunited with everyone they loved, knowing Eddie was still there, all alone.

Kathleen's thoughts were interrupted as she was immediately drawn into a hug, "Hey Rock-Star." She held the girl near to her and whispered. Kathleen smiled as she drew back. "wicked style." She said, causing El to smile back at her.

She hugged Will and Jonathan as well, and ruffled Mike's hair with a sly smile. She also encountered a long-haired boy who smelt exactly like her cousin.

"Let's go! We have donations to deliver!" Steve status.

When they got to Hawkins High, Kathleen recalled that she had been there before for a variety of reasons, but this one rocked her a little bit because she was going there as a helper and was hoping her father was there as well. "Hey, everything is okay". The girl was comforted by Robin. Kathleen gave her a small smile as they headed inside.

Robin walked ahead of Kathleen as they made their way to the donation counter. laying down the boxes. "Uh, so these are blankets and sheets. And some... some clothes and... and some kids' toys." Robin explained.

"Wow. It's already so organized. We appreciate that." She said as she scanned the boxes, then turned to face the little group. "Do you want a tax receipt for it?"

"No. I don't think that we need one. Thank you, though. But is there anything else that we can do to help?" The volunteer simply grinned at them and gave them varied instructions in response to Robin's question. Steve was closely followed by Kathleen.

Kathleen grinned as she handed a volunteer some of the boxes and noticed a young child hugging her teddy bear. She smiled at the image in front of her wishing that she could go look for her old one to hug. Having found it beneficial with her during her nightmares. Steve gave her a sad-looking smile.

"Kathleen, your dad is here."

After turning around, Kathleen saw her father hanging posters of her and Eddie on the wall. Her feelings resurfaced when she saw Eddie's face. She moved gently in his direction. "Dad." she said.

When Wayne turned around to see his daughter standing behind him, a wave of relief washed over him, and he embraced his daughter. Wayne stepped back and exclaimed, "Oh my darling, you're here, you're okay." He noticed some injuries on her and pulled back to look at her. He questioned, "Where is Eddie?"

As soon as the elder man saw Kathleen's gaze, he knew where his nephew was. "He's no longer here is he?" Wayne remarked, his own emotions had begun to overwhelm him. But for his daughter, he had to show courage. He lost his son, vowed to keep him safe, but was unable to do so. How foolish of him

Kathleen trembles a bit. "I couldn't save him, and I had no idea what to do, I was so terrified." She sobbed as her father merely comforted her by holding her hand. She just spoke the truth in part. She was so overcome with guilt that she wished she could just tell him.

"My sweetheart, you don't have to carry that guilt with you, all I know is that you would have tried your hardest in saving him, Eddie love you so much as I do." While wiping his daughter's tears, Wayne said. As she pulled her father into a hug, Kathleen giggled softly and closed her eyes.

Dustin was standing a few feet away as Kathleen opened her eyes. She gave him a flimsy grin before separating from her father. She gave his cheek a gentle kiss. "I also love you too, dad." She whispered before standing up.

Dustin approached her father as Kathleen strode away. "I'm relieved that you two are at last at peace." Robin remarked as Kathleen approached her.

"He'll never know what happened to him, and I have to keep it from him." Looking around, Kathleen remarked. "He had the highest goals of wanting to travel the world and play for people. He wanted to go to California first."

"Perhaps this is our opportunity to leave, flee, and begin a new life. Bring Steve along."As Kathleen and Robin turned to face Steve, who was acting impertinent, Kathleen shook her head.

"We can go achieve all the things Eddie wanted to do, all I know is that no matter what life throws at us, we're going to stick together and even though we always lose something, we ultimately gain something more. I won your love." Robin stated while giving her a gentle smile.

"This is a brand-new beginning, and as I promised in the upside-down and in the Russian chamber, I will be by your side forever." Robin nodded and kissed Kathleen's pinkie as she continued. The two were so engrossed in their own small moment that they were completely unaware of everything going on around them.

Everyone began to swarm in the direction of the window. All of a sudden, the outside world started to grow darker. Without giving a thought to the crowd of people that was about them, Kathleen clung to her girlfriend by the hand and held her close. Robin, Steve, and Kathleen were all aware that it wasn't snow when the skies began to snow.

Hawkins was gradually losing its edge as the world was slowly coming to an end. The universe of the upside down was beginning to crack through into the real world. It wasn't over yet.

It was just the beginning.

Author's notes

That closes our story till Season 5 is out. Kathleen Munson is one of my fave characters, and I've been working on this story since September of last year, and we're finally finished with her for the time being. I wanted to thank you everyone for joining me on this journey as we learn more about her and her problems via the story. I'm excited to see what Season 5 has in store for her character and what happens next. If Season 5 entirely changes my plans for Robin and Kathleen's finale, I'll work around it, but I already have their ending prepared. But this isn't the end of it. Kathleen will appear in my Au story along with Robin.

I truly truly want to thank you all.

Goodbye for now
