THE CULLEN FAMILY WERE SHOCKED TO HAVE TWO MORE MEMBERS OF THE VOLTURI IN THEIR HOME, but they didn't mind it much, they knew that the two brothers wouldn't be much of an issue. If Arlina trusted them, they did too.
When they got home, there were various newcomers in their backyard. The group they knew as the Denali Coven were stood around, but a few others that they didn't know of were around.
"The Volturi are here?" Zafrina took a step back, her arm hooked around Senna's, and the two held scowls. Everyone else however, even the Denali's and the others weren't in the same worried demeanour, they stayed quiet, waiting for an explanation.
"It's okay, Zafrina. Of course you have never met Bree and Arlina, they're our newest family members. Alec is Arlina's mate, and he is helping us with the Volturi, along with Demetri and Felix. We trust them." Carlisle nodded with a small smile at the Amazonians and they both relaxed slightly, nodding back in return.
They were still wary, and would definitely be keeping an eye on the three but they decided to stay quiet about it.
"I feel so much heat coming from you, what is that?" A tanned man stepped forward, a warm smile on his face and Arlina grinned before she held her hand out, allowing small flames to extend from her fingertips. The flames swirled up into the air before they burst and turned into tiny flakes of bright dust, almost like a mini firework.
Everybody admired the scene before them, the man enjoying it the most and when Arlina finished with a sweet smile, he copied her exact actions, holding his hand out and allowing flames to flow out from his fingers.
"Fire twins." Bree mumbled from behind Arlina and it caused everyone to chuckle quietly.
"I'm Benjamin, it's lovely to meet you, Arlina. I've heard quite a bit about you on my trip here." The man held his hand out, and Arlina grinned, grasping her own warm hand onto his.
"Hi, Benjamin, I hope it's good things." The blonde giggled lightly as Benjamin laughed with a nod.
"It could only ever be good things." Alec murmured and Felix wiggled his eyebrows at the witch twin, causing the said twin to punch the tall Volturi's arm.
Zafrina decided to show her gift to those who don't know of it, and Bree and Arlina giggled loudly as they looked around at the amazon that was now in their garden. It was beautiful, and full of greenery, birds were tweeting left and right, and there was small rivers in the ground with fish swimming through them.
"It's beautiful." Arlina complimented, holding tightly onto Bree's hand as the two looked around in awe.
"If she weren't holding my hand right now, I could swear this was real." Edward spoke, his hand grasping Bella's and the aforementioned girl glanced around in confusion, seeing no difference.
"I don't see anything." Bella stated, her eyebrow raised slightly, and Arlina smiled at the sound of animals chattering and the breeze blowing through her hair, she could only wish she could stay there forever.
"Edward, you didn't tell me your wife is a shield." Eleazar walked through a branch, and the vision stopped, everything going back to normal and the two youngest Cullen pouted, slightly disappointed.
"Aw, man." Bree sighed, and the two Amazonians giggled lightly.
"What's a shield?" Bella asked her mate, ignoring Bree's remark.
"The ones I've met are so different." Edward scoffed, almost like a small laugh and Arlina moved forward, wrapping her arm around Bella's shoulders.
"It's a defensive talent." Eleazar told them and Bella smiled, finding comfort in the heat from the blonde.
"It's why I couldn't read your mind, even before." Edward explained, "It's why Aro couldn't."
"You have a very powerful gift." Eleazar complimented and Arlina smirked.
"She's a badass-" She was cut off when electricity crackling caught all of their attention and Bella spun around like lightning, causing Arlina to jump away in fright.
"Oh, yeah, she's a shield, all right." Kate smirked, holding onto Bella's hand as she attempted to electrocute her, "Should've put her on her ass."
"Or your voltage has been exaggerated." Garrett strolled forward, causing the attention to go onto him and Kate turned around slowly with a questioning look.
"Maybe it only works on the weak." Kate held her ring-covered hand out, wiggling her fingers out towards him and everyone smirked at him.
"He's an idiot." Bree mumbled, causing Arlina to snort and Garrett to send her an appreciative but sarcastic look.
"Garrett, I wouldn't." Carlisle warned the man, but he didn't listen, only inching closer to the intimidating blonde.
Garrett only touched her hand for a second before he began groaning loudly, he fell to the ground and the three Volturi Guards began to chuckle quietly amongst one another. They knew of Kate and the rest of the Denalis, Aro had attempted to recruit a few of them, they even had Eleazar for a while. The three caught up with the said man when they arrived, missing him dearly — they were good friends, it was the Kings who were the problems.
"You... are an amazing woman." Garrett looked up at Kate with nothing but love in his eyes, and Kate stared back at him with a small smile.
Alec glanced over at Arlina, his arms crossed over his chest and one of his hands resting under his chin and Arlina was already looking over at him, admiring him from afar. They smiled at one another before they heard fast running, leaves crunching under feet that are moving rapidly.
"Well... shit." Demetri mumbled, knowing who it was almost immediately, along with the other two Volturi members and Bree snorted loudly at Demetri's comment.
Arlina told Bree to stay put and stay with Demetri and Felix, who didn't want to see the two uninvited guests and remember all of the worse memories in their time. Alec, however, wanted to go to protect his love.
"Vladimir, Stefan..." Carlisle greeted disappointingly but tried not to show it, failing miserably, "You're a long way from home."
"What are they doing here?" Kate asked Eleazar from between the said man and Tanya.
"We heard the Volturi were moving against you." Vladimir smirked as he spoke, loving the fact that he'd get a chance to go against the evil coven that killed his family all those millennials ago.
"Well, clearly not all of them." Stefan glared over at the boy, they didn't hate Alec as much as they hated the blonde twin who always held a look of rage and pure pleasure in hatred.
"But that you would not stand alone." Vladimir continued, but not without an enraged glare towards the twin.
"We didn't do what we were accused of." Carlisle told them, and Vladimir rolled his eyes.
"We do not care what you did, Carlisle." Vladimir told him and Carlisle glanced down.
"We have been waiting a millennium for the Italian scum to be challenged." Stefan stated, his eyebrows raising, he felt glee in the fact he'd maybe be able to kill the Volturi once and for all. Alec grabbed onto Arlina's hand tightly, relaxing once he did so.
He didn't know exactly why, but he hated the Romanian Coven with so much of his heart, he knows his coven killed their family, but Alec killed nobody that day.
"It's not our plan to fight the Volturi." Carlisle continued to explain, everyone looking their way with nods.
"Shame. Aro's witnessed will be so disappointed." Vladimir looked to his brother with a grin, and Stefan chuckled lightly.
"They enjoy a good fight." The dark-haired Romanian added.
"Aro's witnesses?" Eleazar stepped forward, looking to Carlisle for answers, but it seemed the Cullen man had no idea.
"Aw. Still hoping they'll listen?" Vladimir questioned teasingly and Alec glared.
"It's okay, Alec." Arlina spoke softly when Alec squeezed tightly onto her hand, almost crushing it into ash.
"Oh, sorry." Alec pulled away quickly before he held back onto her hand, only this time he caressed it, making sure she was okay.
"Come, let's go." Arlina kissed the boy's cheek, wrapping her arm around his shoulders as they walked away from the group, the blonde smiling at her father quickly. She didn't bother to take another look at the Romanians whose eyes she could feel burning into the back of her head, she had heard many stories about them and they weren't the nicest of people.
But then again, their whole family was massacred for power.
