KEEPING THE FACT THAT BELLA WAS PREGNANT WITH EDWARD'S BABY A SECRET WAS HARD, especially with Alec but she managed. He didn't even suspect a thing, he just thought she had to get back home for a family gathering about Bella's turning.

But, of course, something had to go wrong. Aro had overheard the conversation about Arlina rushing away to talk about Bella's turn to vampirism and he'd insisted that Alec go with. Arlina tried her hardest to dismiss the idea, but it was no use.

So, Arlina was going home not on her own as she came, but with Alec at her side. As much as she loved him and wanted to be with him at all times, at that moment, she really wished he wasn't there, running beside her.

"What's on your mind, precious?" Alec questioned, his hand grasped tightly around his bag and Arlina glanced over at him with a fake smile, worried about what the future events were. She was sure that Alice had seen the situation, and had warned the rest of the family.

"We can't go the usual way, come." Arlina waved her hand in the direction to her safer way home to avoid the pack, and he furrowed his brows before he followed her willingly.

"Why are we going this way?" Alec asked, hot on her trail and she looked back at him, placing her finger on her lips, telling him to be silent. He nodded at her, trying to be as quiet as possible, and she smiled gratefully as they got to the back of the Cullen household.

Arlina stopped, standing in his way, ready to explain everything when she heard a bone crack and a whine from inside the house, "Shit."

Alec's eyes widened when he heard the same noise but mostly because that was the first time he heard Arlina curse and it was sort of funny, but he brushed it off and followed after her as she rushed into the house.

"Bella!" Arlina exclaimed, rushing into the room and Alec stood at the doorway, eyes wide in shock. He didn't say anything, he only watched with confusion and worry, "Bella, everything's going to be okay." She rubbed the human girl's arm, eyes watering at the sound of the girl's cries, "She's in pain, do something!"

Arlina looked over at Edward, Rosalie, "Rosalie, pass the morphine." Edward told the blonde, who quickly grabbed it and passed it over.

"Carlisle said the placenta must have detached." Alice spoke with the phone pressed to her ear, she glanced over at Alec and panic rushed over her, but she decided to ignore that for now like everybody else, "He's coming as fast as he can, but he-"

Edward stuck the needle into Bella's leg and pushed the morphine inside of her body, hoping it worked.

"We'll have to do it." Rosalie said, grabbing the knife, she was about to do it before Edward grabbed her hand, stopping her.

"Rose! Let the morphine spread." Edward told her, refusing to let go of her wrist and Arlina held Bella's hand tightly, trying to stay strong for her.

"We have no time. He's dying." Rosalie pleaded, her only care being for the baby and Alec rushed forward, knowing he could help. They all looked over at him questionably, and Jacob snarled.

"Get away!" Edward hissed, pushing him back but Alec pushed back, shaking his head.

"I can help. My gift, it takes away all senses. I can make it so she doesn't feel anything." Alec told the Cullen boy, who slowly nodded and moved out of the way, allowing the witch twin to do his magic.

Arlina reluctantly moved away so she didn't get caught in the smoke, and watched as Alec held his hands out, allowing the smoke to flow out and around Bella. She closed her eyes, telling herself not to be scared and she visibly relaxed, referencing it was time for the baby to be born.

"You have 3 minutes before it completely wears off." Alec stood back, and watched as Rosalie began to cut into the girl's stomach. She lifted the scalpel and smelt the blood, she was about to taste it when Jacob yelled, pushing her to the ground.

"Rosalie, don't!" Edward exclaimed, watching as she was tackled and Alice stood around, not knowing what to do, "Alice, take her out."

Alice guided Rosalie away from the room, and Edward continued to cut, reaching into her stomach and pulling the baby out. He was struggling, so he bit into her stomach to pull it apart, and he smiled as he brought the bottle
baby from her body.

Bella began to feel her senses again, and excruciating pain surrounded her, but she relaxed slightly, not only from the sight of her newborn baby daughter, but also at the sensation of warmth surrounding her from Arlina.

The baby was crying, and Arlina felt herself beginning to cry, but no real tears left her eyes, only imaginative ones and Bella smiled slightly at the sound.

"Hey." Edward prolonged the 'y' as he cooed his baby, and Arlina smiled wide, continuing to rub Bella's arm comfortingly, "Hey, hey. It's Renesmee."

"You're beautiful." Bella murmured and Edward placed the blood-covered baby into her arms carefully. Arlina watched lovingly, feeling as warm as ever in that moment. Bella groaned and Edward took Renesmee from her embrace, cooing her quietly and Bella smiled before it dropped, and she relaxed, her eyes going distant.

Arlina looked over at her with wide eyes and she began to shake the girl softly, "Bella? Bella! Jacob!"

The shapeshifter began to give the girl mouth to mouth and C.P.R., yelling her name repeatedly. Edward attempted to wrap Renesmee in a towel, and he struggled, "Jacob, take the baby."

"Keep that away from me." Jacob snarled, continuing to try and revive Bella. Alec walked forward, opening his arms and nodding reassuringly at Edward.

"I'll keep her safe, I swear." He nodded once more and Edward hesitated, glancing back at the love of his life that was lying there lifeless, before he placed Renesmee in the Volturi boy's arms, rushing back over to help Bella.

"What is that?" Jacob asked, watching as Edward grabbed a huge needle and stuck it in her chest.

"It's my venom." Edward mumbled as he pushed the liquid inside, seemingly struggling to do so. He managed to get it all inside of her chest, and he watched expectantly but she never moved, only staying in place lifelessly, "Come on."

Arlina began to dry sob, begging and pleading with the universe to let Bella live, and Jacob began to cry too. Edward pushed down on her chest again, attempting to help her breathe even further but it was no use, nothing was working.

"It's supposed to be working." Edward mumbled and Arlina took a step back, shaking her head.

"Well, it isn't, Edward." She wiped her eyes, hugging herself as she sobbed quietly and Edward shook his own head rapidly, thumping her chest faster.

"Shut up!" Edward screamed, not giving up and trying harder, "Come on, Bella."

Jacob stood, tears rolling down his face as he glanced over at Arlina, then he looked over at Edward with hatred in his eyes, "I won't kill you. That'd be too easy. You deserve to live with this." He slowly walked away, looking at Arlina on his way out, sobbing quietly.

Arlina watched as Edward continued to give her C.P.R. but it clearly wasn't working, "You're not dead. you're not dead. Come on! Come on! No, it will work. It will work. Please, please, please, please."

He took a bite out of Bella's neck and Arlina nodded, moving forward and helping him. She bit into the girl's arm, hoping her venom and his venom together would make it stronger.

"Please, please come back to me, baby." Edward whispered in her ear and Arlina wiped her mouth, dry sobbing and she rubbed Edward's arm before she left. Her blood did nothing for her, because nothing but sadness consumed the girl, and everything in her was just begging for Bella to wake up again.
